Good South Indian Authentic Food. I had tried Chicken and Lamb dishes. Lunch Meal and other take away options i.e. Hurry n Curry, Lunch Box. All of them are delicious.

It’s been a year since I’m visiting this restaurant with my friends. They always treat us with varieties of delicious dishes, a wonderful appearance an extensive wine list, and a superb dessert. Staffs were respectful, mindful, and extremely obliging! The ambiance is so peaceful, and so eyeful of its traditional touch. I would recommend it to anyone! I’d like to return here again and again!!

I have visited the restaurant today with my husband. We really loved the ambience and food. We both are a huge fan of south Indian food. We ordered platter and mango lassi which was so delicious. And we really appreciate the waiter for suggesting us the platter and for the wonderful service he provided.

If you want to try something different, give Chettinad a go. Lovely staff, a nice ambiance and pleasant surroundings. I personally had the Thaali and that was plenty of food for me. The rest of my group had different foods and said the Dosas were really nice. I would definitely come back.

Great menu, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere as we dined in. Some amazing tasting dishes all priced really fairly. South Indian tastes and spices are all on point. Sanitising Station on entry and you feel really safe with everything that is happening at the moment. Will be back to try the breakfast and other non veg options too!

Pics attached. VERY dissappointing. I paid £18.45 for the smallest quantities of food ever. Look at the pics. The Dosa is fine - nothing special, not much effort made here - but what was infuriating was the TINY amount of Sambhar i got in a small cup, literally 2 tablespoons full, which was almost like water in consistency - and what is maybe 1 tablespoon of chutney. I also ordered a lamb madras - and it was SHOCKING. ABout 8 smallest pieces of lamb, in curry which had Nothing to it, and tons of oil. Super oily, so oily i had to use about 5 tissues to drain the oil first. Never ordering from here again, at least at Santhi restaurant up the road they give you a decent amount of sambhar. What a massive dissapointment.

It’s been a while since I had South Indian food at a restaurant. The restaurant was really nice and quiet as we went to the place after 10 pm. We got the order delivered fairly quickly. The waiter who served was really friendly and looked after us really well. It made me feel at home. Good was not amazing but still really good. I would visit again

Nice ambiance, and good service. We ordered mixed platter, non veg thali, poori. I was expecting poori to come with a side by default but it wasn't, so I ordered a potato sabji separately. Mixed platter was good however overall I felt it's less spicy and had less salt as well. The chicken that was served was little dry as well. Overall, the menu and served items are authentic south Indian items however taste feels like it was designed to suite to people who like it less spicy, so not for traditional south Indians.

I love the dosa! I’ve been a number of times to this restaurant. The food quality is always good. The service is always friendly. They do a great thali meal which is an easy choice for a meal with lots of variety and flavour. Other dishes on their menu have been as consistently flavoursome. Their cold drinks are fantastic accompaniment for meals; the lassi is available in a number of flavours, just lovely.

Innovative takes on the G&T cocktails (and one of the few places serving Indian gin) and desserts (can't go wrong with anything that is mango / old monk infused!). Amazing!! Visited this restaurant with a group of 5, we had someone who is Celiac (Gluten free) and someone who is dairy and coconut free. The staff were fantastic with both requests. I went there with my girlfriend as it was our anniversary. We ordered 2 chettinad thaalis. The food was amazing the spice was so perfect. Everytime I had a spoon of rice my mouth was still watering because I wanted more. And to top it all of the gulab jamun. Overly glad to fine this eatery! Having no better than average dosa puts in Birmingham , we came here and it was well justified, despite all the trouble! The dosa is magnificent, the staff are agreeable and inviting, particularly the smiley upbeat supervisor. We cherished it so much we came here twice amid December ! Chettinad Restaurant - this is long overdue but finally got a chance to write this one .. I should say before I went there I had mixed reviews about the place but something told me .. I am still gonna try .. should I say that I wasn’t disappointed and me and my family were happy and totally in awe of the food and service at this place ... Firstly about the hotel and the location .. it’s located on the main road and if we can go up the road and towards the left .. we should get some empty spots for parking .. however there is no specific parking for them or in front of the hotel .. now in terms of ambience, it’s a lovely setup with ample seating .. lovely decor and has got a beautiful chettinad or South Indian touch to the whole place .. next in terms of service and the people in the restaurant are brilliant .. they took excellent care of the adults and the kids alike .. they also ensured that my daughter finished her meal by promising her an ice cream which she got once she finished the meal .. kudos to the staff who served us and can’t thank them enough for their courteousness and suggestions .. finally coming to the food and the cost .. the food was finger licking good and they ensured they explained where necessary and prepared the food according to our requirements. My kids and our family throughly enjoyed the food. And finally the cost even with 4 adults and 1 7 year old and toddler eating to our fill, we just managed to spend only around 75£ for the huge amount of food we stuffed ourselves with.
