Been here twice, ordered chicken both times, the first time it was nice and spicy, however the second time it just felt like ketchup. Other than that the rice is good. One thing Fernandez grillhouse does really well, is dessert, probably better than actual dessert places in the local area. Had different desserts, and both cookie doughs are exceptional. In short - At odds with in food, but has amazing desserts

Went here for a meet up with my dad for the first time since The Unpleasantness started, and I'm so glad my girlfriend suggested here! The food was gorgeous, the staff were attentive and talkative, and I just really love the vibe of the place. As a heads up, my dad and I shared the Tomahawk because that is so much for just one person, well worth the 30m prep time though! Will deffo try to come again!

This place went above and beyond for me. I ordered through Deliveroo and my order was running late. So they called me to assure me that my order was done and told me that they were keeping the food warm and the man I spoke to was sweet and assuring. Treated myself to the Tomahawk steak today. It's an extremely tender, juicy steak that bursts with flavour, the kind to melt in your mouth. The combination with the dips of Gazebo sauce and mint yoghurt truly brings out a luscious flavour to the meal. It is absolutely worth the price and best of all, its halal! Everything is halal which is amazing for the Muslim community as it brings a broad audience towards the restaurant. If your looking for a huge steak that will truly fill you up, Fernandez tomahawk is the one!

Can't fault the food nor the staff! Staff are very friendly and there is a high moral - very nice and calm atmosphere. We had a group of 11 and the food came out fast and hot. We had 4 platters and everything on them was amazing. The desert is presented well and the ice cream is to die for. Can't wait to go back!

Been here a few times and certainly has the girlfriends approval. Reasonable pricing. Limited (non alcoholic) drinks menu but the mocktails are pretty good but pricey. The food is well flavoured and the sauces are excellent. Haven't come across this style in Leicester so it's definitely worth a try if you want your steak done differently.

Before lockdown when me and my friends discovered this place, we went 3 times in a space of 2 weeks! Very cheap lunch deal and very tasty food. Better than nandos. Was disappointed that we never got to try the pulled beef burger on multiple occasions when we asked about it but nevertheless the food was very good.

A very spacious restaurant with plenty of seating and quiet clean. Service was excellent, we arrived 15 mins before opening yet they still seated us and provided menus to browse through until they started accepting orders. The menu is mainly grilled chicken or beef and burgers. I did find the prices a little dearer than most places in the city centre but they do offer £6.00 before 6pm which is great for someone who just wants a simple burger, side and drink. We ordered an Americano burger and chicken sizzler(shredded grilled chicken). Food was great and arrived in time say roughly 10mins, my only criticism of the food would be way too many onions but apart from that it was a good experience and would recommend. Thanks to Rob and Pat (waiters who served us).

Amazing service and amazing food! It's true, that a welcoming front of house can make all the difference. We had travelled from Birmingham to celebrate a birthday, there were seven of us in total, and due to everyones different work patterns etc, we got there just in the nick of time to order our food, before kitchen closes... but we were so looked after, and pleasantly served that we enjoyed our time and meal as a result. The staff and the service are impeccable here! The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is lively. The food however, was a bit of a disappointment. The tower burger didn't taste like much, it was very bland and disappointing. I could taste the hash browns and the tomato and nothing else. The onion rings are quite small but seem frozen and store bought. Overall, a nice place, amazing staff, but the food is disappointing.

Good place to eat if you have large party of people and looking for big platter meal, the mixed grill platters ideally for two people, in fact it is a platters for four, the burgers are so big and have no idea how to eat them, overall the problem is everything is oversize, you better share them because it is difficult to finish a single dish by one person.

Brilliant steakhouse. Quick service. Extremely friendly staff. Pre-ordered food before we arrived, got there almost 1 hour earlier to our initial booking, they extremely friendly about it and got the food out within 15 minutes of us sitting down. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. Also it's near Leicester town centre which is a bonus. Family friendly.

We have ordered from here as home delivery amd its always been really good food, we thought we would go and try the restaurant and sit in and it was brilliant, Staff were so welcoming and friendly, service was second to none, helped us to save money with out meals and gave us as much time as we needed to decide what we was having, Food was well presented, hot and tasted amazing, lots of flavours going on, we had mocktails too which were so tasty The peach cooler is a must if you like the tropical taste. Will definitely be back again it was worth every penny £74 for 4 mains with added extras and loaded up fries, 2 sides, 4 mocktails and a large bottle of water, the resturant is bright and has a lively vibe to it.

We were invited as guest for the experience and let me tell you something I was glad I got an invite the food was amazing experience the staff were at their best performance everyone knew what they were talking about.. There are some VIP areas that you might want to check out if you want to hold a conference or have a special occasion ( if that's the case there's a Arabic theme based room which is stunning) It is worth a visit and trust me I will be making another visit in 2018!!

Looking at the mixed reviews I almost didn't come here, but I'm so glad I did!! The food is delicious and the pepper corn sauce is sooo good, the staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful and the pina colada mock tail was also really good. If you're debating whether to go I absolutely recommend it!! That's the big plater it'll feed you for days!!

The family chose this restaurant for my birthday meal. This is the second time we have been and really enjoyed the food. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. The food was brilliant and presented very well. Bit expensive as items are not part of a meal.. side and drinks all comes separate. The toilets could be bit more cleaner and the downstairs toilet was cordended off. The actual restaurant floor has a very well presented and enjoyed all the little touches. Very good staff members willing to help out and on point. Only giving 4 stars as the pricing and menu could have been bit more thought out. Having the cutlery's packed in dedicated packages is a bit over kill although it's paper, it's just unnecessary. The stake was very good and the curly fries. The peppercorn sauce could have been bit more in quantity.

Let me start by saying that the food was very good, no complaints about the quality of the cooking. However, I had to knock a couple of stars off for the following reasons. No alcohol, the chicken would have gone much better washed down with a beer or two. No proper soft drinks, only the horrible sugar-free ones. I detest the taste of artificial sweetener and a pox on Jamie Oliver for the sugar tax! Someone whom I took to be the owner, or at least the manager, tried to make a case for the real ones being too expensive to buy in, but since I'm pretty certain they were postmix, and given the money they've saved on the alcohol license, I find this excuse rather weak. The food is a bit pricey. At first it seems reasonable, then you find out chips and other such accompaniments are separate. The over-effusive staff. I'm aware this is a tricky one, and some people would reduce a score for the opposite reason (restaurants just can't win sometimes), but I'm there to sate the raging hunger in my belly, not make new friends. Please just bring food to the table as quickly and efficiently as possible and don't ask me how my day has been. If you (the reader) like the more 'American' style of customer service then please ignore this entire paragraph. In summary; food good, whole experience mediocre, glad to have tried it but won't be back.

Me n my partner came at lunch time never been before. Food is beautiful I had the chops theres a lot of onion as a bed and suggested peppers as well. Partner had a burger n said was beautifully cooked. Starters were lovely along with milkshakes. You do have to go up n order at the bar witch is a shame ad the staff we bad were very nice n polite they should be able to earn tips serving. Will deffo recommend and return.

We were a big group with children and we were accomodated very well. Staff were helpful and friendly but we were served by trainee staff with some confusion about menu options. Food portions were big but some were uninspiring. Chicken and wings were below average and steak was average. Everyone seemed to be pleased with desserts but felt too heavy for me. If I were to go again would be for their burgers (especially the Mexicana) and lamb chops.

Had a family meal here with 12 of us including 5 small kids. Steak was gorgeous and nachos with puled beef was AMAZING!! Staff were very friendly and made us feel comfortible even when our kids were playing up. The environment is really family orientated and its nice to see theres no alcohol served as its even more reassuring going out with the kids. For those who do want a drink there are plenty of bars near by. big thumbs up and am looking forward to going again real soon!

Reasonable priced, steaks were cooked best they could but the quality of meat was rather disappointing - too much fat on the rump, not a great portion of t-bone. As an individual who has been to Fernandez well over 6 times I receive a different service each time I go. They lack consistency! My recent visit on Valentine’s Day 2019 was my final visit and the atmosphere at 5 in the evening was dreary and negative. The only reason it gets a three star is the “wookie daffle” which is a cookie and waffle combo is absolutely exquisite for the prices point of £6.99. The staff are extremely judgemental looking and each time I go there seems to be different waitresses and waiters ( new ones) so what makes all the staff quit? I ordered grilled vegetables which were disgustingly salty and tasteless! Absolutely hated them when usually they are cooked so well. They tasted burned and overly crisp. Awkward eye contact with staff members whom took ages to ask us if everything was okay with our meals. Fernandez changes each time you go. So ridiculously inconsistent so be cautious.

Went here last night for the first time and we were all pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly, we were surprised at the good value of the food as well. The environment was nice, it was busy without it being nosy which I liked and you could see the staff were cleaning and prepping the tables quickly for their next customers which is good to see. The food came in good time and it was very enjoyable, I'm glad we decided to visit this place. Take note that they don't serve alcohol here if you have your heart set on a pint or something, but it's not a problem if you just want to enjoy some good food. I prefer this place over nandos currently and I'm definitely going to return here again and recommend it to my friends. I don't know what the bad reviews were going on about, but I'm glad I ignored them.

One of the few places in Leicester that I have been to, that does not serve alcohol (yes, you read that right), so unless you like your soft drinks or you're the designated driver of the group, prepare to be disappointed if you wanted an alcoholic drink to wash down the food. That said, the food was very good (especially my ribeye steak) and the serving size was spot on at a fair price. First things first let's cover the no alcohol bit....ask why. One of the owner is a recovering alcoholic so no alcohol. Try a mocktail, they're lovely. Walked in off the street and loved the decor. The menu is varied and good value. The sides are lovely. I highly recommend the sweet potatoe fries. Staff were attentive and helpful. We had a young trainee and she did admirably dealing with us. Our meal for two with 2 sides and 2 drinks came to just under £30. We left fed and content.

This was our first visit to Fernandez and what a great atmosphere inside! We were served by a trainee who was very nice and friendly! An alternative place to go compared to Nandos. Nice atmosphere, wasn't busy when I went, and thus was taken to a table straight away. Staff are polite and cheerful, made the experience better. The prices are average, depending on what you get. I got the double chicken burger and in my opinion the portion was quite small in comparison to Nandos. My friend got a 1/3 chicken and they paid less than me but received more in terms of portion. Other than that, it's a very nice and chilled place to visit, would recommend.
