A really good service. Although the food was nice, it was not the authentic taste for the South Indian dish we had ordered, as it was similar but nowhere near what it should be. I'll give 4 stars for the service, and 3 stars for the food, as the starter was good.

Not quite 5 star, but giving it 4 star to be generous. Their "large" portions aren't large and definitely not worth the price if they come out to be small. The staff were amazing with their service and were very welcoming, the food came out within 10 minutes which was reasonable and had only been filling when we ordered about 15 items on the menu. Would recommend the food but awfully expensive

Having read recent reviews about poor service and low quality food, I was apprehensive about attending a party of over 20 guests. Ordering items has changed so we order online whilst there. We used 2 phones but could pay on one account at the end. This is actually a great idea as it cuts down confusion and more devices can be used. The quality of food was just as I remembered and the service was excellent! The only negative thing is that we ordered an item but it never arrived. However, this was removed from the bill. All in all, a fantastic experience

I recently did a take away order and my 1 year old fell asleep so i called to explain and a lovely waiter came out to introduce himself and that he would bring out my order, he was so polite and helpful to do that so i didn't need to disturb my daughter and it was great of him to come and introduce himself too. The place serves amazing and tasty food. I loved the way they give option for spicy food or even mild version for kids. The platter served, holds good and sufficient quantity of meal. I would love to visit the place again and shall surely recommend it to my friends. Staff is very friendly.

Hi attending with my family to celebrate my sister’s 65 birthday. We celebrated Anita’s 50th there and subsequently we gone to celebrate every couple of years. The team and Jeevan looked after us and we enjoyed the experience. Good food and family type atmosphere meant we felt at home. Well done team Indigos.

We have tried only starters. Their Peri-Peri Chips was nice (crispy, hot and savoury). Their South Indian starters were all good too. We also order Chef Special Paneer Pizza, one thin base and one deep pan. Both arrived almost identical base and in my opinion, it didn’t had much ingredients apart from Paneer And Sauce and lots of cheese. Good place for vegetarian but there options out there compare to Indigoe. Some of their dishes comes really quick... obviously re-heated.

A wonderful pure vegetarian restaurant which shows the amazing taste of Indian and Chinese food that takes you out of this world. My favourites are aubergine stir fry, chilli panneer, chilli idli, shezwan noodles, vegtable manturian with gravy. There are also chips and pizza as well as cakes and a wide range of desserts. Perfect for any occasion and a lot of amazing items on the menu.

Great food and quick service on last visit, although has been hit-and-miss when they are busy. Many of the items taste very similar so be conscious of what you order. Really nice fusion of South Indian, Chinese and Pizza, all vegetarian. The South Indian is mostly nice cheesy pancakes with dips, the Chinese is lovely a lot of chilli paneer dishes. The stir fry aubergine is to DIE for, crunchy and tastes like spicy wings! You must try.

Amazing spicy, veggie food with equally as amazing poor service! Quite frankly, it always has been like this and always will be. So it's probably best to put aside your high standards for one day and give this place a go. You won't regret it! If you are a real "snob" then why not try a take away first and take it from there? Fantastic service tonight for a very large party of 46! From start to finish the service was high quality; the waiting staff fantastic at ensuring people had hot delicious food and drinks a plenty. Om & Jeevan served us tonight and made sure it all went smoothly, even cutting and serving the big cake for us all and waiting patiently after closing for us all to say goodnight! Tasty food, homely atmosphere and polite customer service. I've never been disappointed with the food or service here. The interior decor has been outdated for a very long time. It has been updated a few times but still feels late 90s/ early 2000s and doesn't keep up with some of the more modern indian restaurants that exist today. That being said indigos was once considered one of the best Indian restaurants in Leicester 20 years ago and may be trying to hold on to that vibe with their stylistic choice in decor.

This is my favourite restaurant in Leicester. I try to always make a point to come here if I visit. All vegetarian, there are so many options. Dont know why people hate on this place This is the only indian restaurant that brought light to melton road and veg restaurant in leicester for decades. Popular vegetarian Indian restaurant in a traditional building. Plenty of parking. Professional, courteous and friendly service. Quite busy and bit noisy. Ther was a slight delay in the kitchen but we were kept informed and given complimentary papads. Great food. We had fresh passion fruit juice and salted lassi for drinks both excellent. This was followed by chilli paneer , hakka noodles , indigo rice ( all excellent), dosa ( batter was too thick and chewy rather than thin and crispy) and special chaat ...had too many onions, also a bit more of yogurt and chutney would be good as it was dry at the edges. All in all a good experience. Would go again

We had our Mum's 80th birthday here....The setting was excellent Venkatesh too care of all arrangements for us there were 18 of us in total including 4 children. We went for GOLD MENU...such generous portions and all the food came out freshly cooked.. Special pizza n chips for the little one's. Venkatesh and team did an excellent job, in bringing all foods items in a timely manner and were VERY FRIENDLY and accomodating... Would certainly come and eat here....*****

This is the second time we came to this restaurant. The staff is very good here and we were touched by the mannerisms expressed by Shah Mir who served us. Initially we were not happy because the girl who took our order sent all the starters and main course at the same time for which the management need to train their staff and chef to avoid spoiling the delicious meal. But the courtesy and attention shown by Shah Mir really touched us. We will be back to enjoy Ingdigo’ food.

Fabulous Indian Vegetarian food with a twist! Great setting in an old pub building. Service is a little laid back sometimes but food is generally mouth watering. Decent value for money too. Try the Aubergine stir fry - truly awesome :-)

Great food for vegetarians. The portions used to be great, but with ‘recents changes in packaging due to covid 19’ the packaging seems to have gone smaller. I wouldn’t bother ordering a large for a takeaway next time, just stick with the normal portion you’ll get the same amount.

3 stars for the food. Some staff are extremely arrogant and rude, they could do with getting some training on how to treat paying customers with respect and a more approachable attitude as it would be nice to feel welcomed upon arrival especially when you have a baby with you. The food for vegetarians is nice with a good variety of Traditional and Indo-Chinese cuisine, possibly the only reason I would come again with a calm and patient mindset.

Very average for food but a lot of choice on the menu. Always a bit apprehensive about large menus but it's not all bad. Indo chinese range is probably the better food to go for, the pizza was a right off as I sent mine back twice. Service wasnt brilliant but I thought thenwairers could have been more attentive, got charged a few bits that wasnt even what we had so got this resolved on the visit. Very average as mentioned at the start, stay away from the pizza due to its watery sauce on a thick base which resulted in a soggy dough.

Only 2 dowsides were firstly no chutneys are served with the food so have to ask for that seperately and secondly was the waiteress kept coming to our table asking if we would like our food packed whilst we we're still eating!!! Fantastic service and great food experienced on Diwali evening. We had spoken to Nandita in advance and booked a table at Diwali, perhaps the busiest weekend of their year. The menu was submitted in advance and all items were delivered to the table in less than 30-40 minutes of being seated. This was great given how busy the restaurant had been. The food was piping hot and very tasty. The service was outstanding, and a special shoutout to Deep, Nirali, and Hinal who served our table and Atulbhai for helping keep things in check. Highly recommended!

Average food, pretty expensive for what it is. Popular in Leicester. Service not brilliant. Don't think they understand service with a smile. Polite enough but were seated in the most ridiculous place. Upstairs next to a window load of plates and cutlery where the annoying waiters kept brushing part my head to make a racket and getting posted and cutlery. The service was slow, and ad-hoc. No real apology from the waiter/waitresses or moving us to another area even though there was plenty of seating. Not really impressed by the service but food was ok. I'm not sure if I want to go again given their rushing around and bad service. They need to do better! I don't think they really care though ... As it's always busy ... So they don't really seem to be that bothered. Tables weren't even properly cleSbed, and even after other ppl left it took them an age to clean the tables. Wouldn't really reccomend it.

The place is nice with young and energetic staff, however it's really pricey. More so it does only starters and quick bites. No full meal options. Idli chilly and aubergine stir fry are novelty and is a good dish to try. But again it's pricey.

Lots of options on the menu to cater for most tastes. There is a weekday lunch buffet for a fixed price available, we chose to go for the menu as normal. Please note they don’t make pizza, pasta dishes at lunch. These are dinner and weekend items only. I contacted Indigo quite last minute to host my daughter's first birthday party. Within minutes of submitting my enquiry, a representative called me with different party options to choose from and she could not have been more helpful in providing key information. I opted for the silver party menu and confirmed my dishes. I met with a lady called Helli the day before our event and she showed me the first floor of the restaurant (where our party would be). The layout was perfect and super spacious to comfortably accommodate my 40 guests and highchairs for all the babies. On the day, the tables were set-up as requested and the vintage atmosphere perfectly matched my decor choices. The staff could not have been more accommodating in helping me with banners etc. Drinks were promptly served as my guests arrived and our head waitress - Pooja and her colleague - Nirali were on the ball from the get go. Fresh, warm starters with top-ups as requested made the event perfect. Everyone really enjoyed the tasty bhel that was served too. Mains were equally exceptional and served promptly. The restaurant was also able to adapt the dhosas I requested for my vegan guests which was great! Would definitely recommend Indigo for anyone looking to host a get together / party. The service was fab, the food was hot and made fresh as requested. We are so glad we chose the restaurant to host our daughter's first birthday.

Food is fairly decent, prices are acceptable (£6ish for a main) and soft drinks are about £2.25. In terms of service, it's not very good. I got my drinks after I got my starters, and they were constantly on my tail about ordering more food or leaving. The chilli mogo was dry too but everything else was alright.

Indigos did our wedding catering for an Indian/English fusion celebration and it was the best decision we made! So many of our guests said that the food was incredible - both those who were new to this type of Indian cuisine (rather than curry houses) as well as those who are very familiar! The team who planned our event were just so helpful and friendly in the lead up to the big day, as well as on the day itself. Nothing was too much trouble, they offered so many creative ideas and suggestions and they really made our meal so special. I cannot thank Indigos enough for all the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication to the event. True professionals and I would recommend them thoroughly!

They have excellent food and a diverse range of food items from south indian, Chinese and indian. Their chilli mushrooms tasted lovely and their fresh passion fruit juice is great too. 4 out of 5 because two orders were the wrong ones. They did change them without a fuss though.

Probably one of my all time favourite restaurants. I've been coming here since 2003 when I studied at Loughborough Uni. Used to eat here a lot with friends, and still do with family. The food is always to a high standard and I am never disappointed. Their extensive vegetarian menu is great with plenty of choices. Service is usually very good and food arrives fast. If you like paneer then their Chilli Paneer is very good, as are their pizzas. Although their chefs have changed over the years, I still enjoy the food and will continue to visit for a good meal. Highly recommended.

First visit and have to say quite disappointed with service. We went late afternoon and the place was not busy at all and yet it took forever for the food to arrive. Food on the whole was ok . No wow factor . There was a waiter ( elderly gentleman) who stood quite near our table and just stared right through our meal which was very awkward. Will not be visiting again

Avoid chilli chips as it just tastes like chips smothered in ketchup...no chilli flavour at all. It's not a cheap place to eat and and be PREPARED to pay 10% for the privilege of dining in... I've never been to a restaurant that charges you to eat in. 3 star experience
