Amazing steak, such silky flavour, prices aren't for the weak hearted but definitely worth every penny. Friendly staff who aim for the customer experience. Lovely atmosphere and very clean!

Miller and Carter. You know what to expect - decent steak at a price that doesn't fully break your bank account balance. The menu is varied enough for most to find something they'll love - unless you're a vegetarian (really, don't go here unless you want choice of about one main). The drinks menu is similarly extensive, plenty of delicious beverages to choose from. I've eaten better steak, but for the price you can't really go wrong, it's good value. One of my favourite things to do in life is to dip the fries into the beef dripping sauce! Best thing about Enderby is the staff though, really friendly and helpful. One waiter even kept a kind and calm composure when a customer ordered a filet mignon WELL DONE, which I'm pretty sure is illegal, so that shows how nice they are. Overall I'll definitely be going back here.

Great food this time round, much better than when it first opened. Attentive staff and quick food service. Bacon on the burger was mainly fat so 4 star reflects that. Nice and quiet for lunch so not overwhelmed with people.

The food is definitely great quality, of that there is no doubt. But we ate on a Thursday, and I don't know if that had any bearing on the experience. I always say you're a sum of all your parts, I ordered Fillet Mignon 2x 5oz steak Medium Rare, first came fine, second more rare which was disappointing left a chunk of it as not to taste. Lobster was great and a fair price point to be fair. But overall the service wasn't really worth the price, neither the ambiance. the food had to do allot of the work, and as my review reflects it just couldn't make up the short falls. Can't bring myself to eat again when there is better options for less. Nothing was great, food was good. Waited on cheque, desert to go came with ice cream no cookies and took long enough I couldn't wait to be re made so lost out to this. Steak as above and service was slow and unatentive hence me questioning just if the staff weren't on it as it was a slower than usual Thursday.

We just had an amazing afternoon at Miller and Carter Enderby. We chose from the lunch time menu, 3 courses for £15.50! Each course was super and out waitress Shan looked after our every need and even got arty on our mocktail boards, my son was so impressed! Had a great meal last night. We were really well looked after by Emma who took the time to find out that we were there for a special occasion. It was a particularly nice touch when we saw that a birthday message (that was beautifully written in chocolate sauce) had been added to my son's dessert plate. Very tasty! Scallops to start were delicious and beautifully presented, however, the scallops themselves were on the small side, which was a surprise but didn't take away from how wonder they were. Obviously had to have steak, 8oz fillet (medium/well). It came with a huge wedge of lettuce and fries. I couldn't really say anything negative. It was cooked to perfection and complemented by a bottle of chateaux nerf de pap - couldnt go wrong! I just about managed a crème brulee for pudding and it was light and had a lovely crisp layer of melted sugar on top. Fabulous meal and very good service. I felt it did have a typical 'chain' feel to it but at least you know what to expect!

First time visit tonight: Venue was clean, tidy and very stylish. Pride is obviously taken to ensure all cutlery and glasswesr is spotless. Our waitress was super attentive especially when it was mentioned that one of the party had an allergy to certain foods. Our starters were fantastic, and the mains that followed (steaks) were all perfectly cooked. This is a venue I will be returning too. I'd say its slightly more expensive than a usual pub but that extra is worth every penny.

First time at Miller and Carter and I was impressed initially with the high class look of the place but the clientele we were sat against were much to be desired unfortunately. Plying big groups with beer after beer after beer turned the pleasant atmosphere into something you'd find down your local boozer. Food wise, great selection of food off the main menu which was well laid out. We went for the dirty burger and 8oz sirloin steak which arrived quickly. The burger was pretty small to be honest but tasted good. It was nothing special for the prize though. 8oz steak was much of the same. It was just good pub grub at a high price. Puddings though were really nice and definitely recommend the brownie and creme brulee. I'm glad we paid in vouchers as I wouldn't have been happy paying over £60 for the food we had.

This evening me, some friends and a guy called Nick went to this fine establishment and we were seated quickly and served by a lovely waitress named Megan. The food was delicious especially the lettuce wedge (I do love me some good lettuce). We did not have to wait too long and Megan made sure we were okay with our order. A few months ago I left a review that we missed out dessert but we made sure we didn't this time! What a decision that turned out to be. Immaculate. Megan hand made me a happy birthday platter out of the kindness of her heart which was beautiful. Maybe next time instead of saying Happy Birthday it'll say her phone number :)

To celebrate my birthday my husband took me and some of my close family for a meal at Miller & Carter. It was certainly a busy night but that didn't stop staff seating you or serving paying attention and taking an interest in customers. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food very good my only observation would be on the salad accompaniment to steak meals, a wedge of lettuce with a dressing of your choice, I like lettuce and the dressing was tasty but a quarter of a lettuce per person seems far to much and must lead to waste certainly recommend a smaller portion.

Our visit was fantastic. It was our second visit within a month, and we were very happy about returning based on our previous experience. We were greeted at the entrance desk by a happy polite young lady, who took our reservation details and took us to our table. Within a couple of minutes our server Alfie was with us, and he just happened to be the same server we had had previously. Very engaging, funny and he not only remembered us from our previous visit, he remembered the whole order, which was incredible. The service, the food, the atmosphere and the attention was spot on. We honestly couldn't ask for more.

Visited on Sunday 13 March 2022. Excellent food and excellent service from Reece. Steak was cooked exactly how ordered, I couldn't understand why the weird couple on the table next to me complained about their food and left saying they would go to McDonald's 🤣 Maybe they couldn't afford to, or didn't want to pay. Perhaps they are only used to McDonald's fast trash food. Personally, I rate this Miller & Carter exceptional and highly recommend to others.

Wow! I've always thought that I would never pay the prices asked for in a steak house, but boy was I impressed!! A trip with the wife to what was the old Toby Carvery is now the Miller & Carter for a treat as we had recieved some vouchers over the Christmas break. We both had the aged rump, pepper sauce and chips off the January taster set meal. The steak was cooked so well that the knife just went through it like a hot knife through butter. The taste was amazing, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the different cuts and how they are best cooked. During busy periods there was a little delay, but to be expected so didn't fret too much. I would deffinately come again and would recommend anyone who has thought about going to go and do it, you'll not be disappointed. My only wish was to have taken some photos of the food! Amazing!

Absolutely love this place. We are a loud family and love a good steak and cocktails.. never feel out of place here the staff our amazing. The manager Shantel is lovely and will come and speak to us and have a laugh. food is cooked to perfection. My son can be very picky when eating however loves the calamari. Standards seem to have really dropped here compared to pre-pandemic. Service was incredibly slow, you can tell the staff were extremely stretched. The drinks took a very long time to come out, our food order was taken over 40 minutes after and a further 50 minutes to be served. We were not asked if we had liked more drinks, the table wasn’t cleared of empty glasses whilst waiting for the mains. In fact it wasn’t cleared of the empty glasses throughout our sitting so it was overly full and uncomfortable. The app seems to not work as well as it normally does in the Rothley branch, only one drink voucher was accepted even though multiple QR codes were scanned during our last visit to Rothley. The food was lukewarm when served and lacked the expected flavours, buttermilk chicken was incredibly salty and very disappointing, side dishes were missing but no waiting staff could be flagged down due to the rush of dinning customers. Tables that arrived after us had dined, paid and left prior to us receiving our mains. Concerns were raised and the management did address the missing dishes upon payment. The staff were friendly and approachable, if you can spot one and ask for assistance but unfortunately not enough of them. There is a world of difference between the service we normally receive in the Rothley restaurant compared to here, especially when it comes to the speed of service.

Came here a few time during the afternoon time and ordered medium rare steaks.... it was really good. Not many places can get the medium rare that spot on. The place itself is clean but staff always looked busy and not as friendly as you would expect. Food was okay but I ordered a strawberry drink I forgot the name they made it really bad one time. Didn’t even bother to put the strawberry on the glass 😑 the staff tend to gather around talking over your food too 😅

Amazing food from The Chef Allen and the Service from Leah was very attentive. My son loved his lettuce wedge and his Sirloin was cooked to perfection. The mini brownie and espresso martini was the perfect end to as amazing lunch. We will be back!

As you would expect the meals are excellent we went at lunch time not too busy but as always the service was excellent we had fish &chips !! Even as it's known for it's excellent steak menu the cod was done to a tee as were the chips had a great apple pie & ice cream for afters . All in all a great birthday treat BUT!! BEWARE !! The drinks are very expensive best to have a bottle of water although that's not cheap BUT don't let that put you off its still a nice place to eat.

Came here for mine and my sister's birthday and certainly wasn't disappointed! The decor and Atmosphere was great, service was fantastic and food was fab! My brother and I shared a platter to start, calamari was really yummy would recommend! For mains I went for the Rib eye which was cooked perfectly, the lettuce wedge I thought was a little odd at first was actually quite a refreshing change in taste in-between the steak and chips! My sister had the Lunchtime menu which was amazing value at 3 courses for £13.95! I couldn't fit in a dessert but they still brought me a lovely "Birthday" plate with a small biscotti and ice-cream, such a lovely touch and just enough! Will definitely return!

We went in on the Mon - Sat lunchtime special menu.The choice of food is a little more limited but still quite good.Can’t fault the service and the drinks were top quality. The food was really 5 star. So tasty with excellent texture and presentation. The lunchtime menu is very good value. The full menu is a bit more expensive but if you want a really good meal, this is the place to go.

Lovely setting. Booked a table on line and all very easy. Arrived and were welcomed and shown to table promptly but then had to wait 15 mins for anyone to come to our table! Waitress seemed to get flustered with the gadget to order drinks and food on esp as we had a gluten free diner. Ribs were fantastic, steak i am assured was delicious although we had to send one back as wasn't cooked as requested. Puds were yummy. Can recommend the mini lemon posset and latte. All in all a lovely meal but not a cheap night. Would go back though.

Absolutely amazing! The best steak I've ever had, I had the rib-eye with peppercorn sauce medium (as suggested). The combination of different foods was out standing, the steak was cooked perfectly with just enough juices on the plate. Separate sweet potato fries (or normal fries if you prefer) to keep them crispy away from the steak juice. A well seasoned bacon and honey mustard dressing 1/4 lettuce fresh and crispy. With a unique potato and onion bread. All tasted as they had been farmed only hours before. No complaints, staff were brilliant and so friendly, would recommend to anyone.

The atmosphere was beautiful, clean and well decorated throughout. The booth we had was well placed and quiet even though the place was busy. The servers were an absolute pleasure to be with, Chrissy in particular was attentive, polite and fun to be around, she is a true credit to the team. Orders were taken quickly, drinks came out even quicker. Food arrived in good time even though most tables were filled. Prices are expensive, but good food and service should be expensive, so we have no problem in paying for a lovely night out. I'll be returning soon, as this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had. Thank you!

Can very much recommend this restaurant for steak and have visited multiple times. On my last visit I had the macaroni cheese with the barbacoa beef added, which I was unfortunately unable to finish as the beef was excessively sweet. Still giving 4 stars as all other food was delicious and well prepared, and those who like sweeter food might well have liked the beef. On previous visits I have ordered the steak, chicken wings, calamari etc and have been very happy. More generally, the staff have been very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant feels clean and well spaced out in a post-covid world. Parking facilities are good and it's easy to find. In a nutshell, this is a steak restaurant. If you order steak you will be satisfied.

Easy to see this as overly expensive but this is the third time I've been and the food has been excellent each time. 1 kids meal of meatballs with pasta, which was wolfed down by my son who doesn't normally eat everything. Rest of us had ribeye steaks which were great. The non/low alcohol IPA (big drop I think) was really nice. Staff were all friendly and still respectful of how we might want to cope with just coming out of main covid restrictions. Pricey but an excellent meal, recommended.

Firstly the staff were lovely, we had a wonderful waitress called Molly or Mollie can't remember now :( she was really friendly and knew the products, I was so pleased with the beef dripping ( literally could sell that as a drink) she said it was good but I didn't realise how good. We received a warm welcome and said we could go straight to our seats or have a drink to start with, I loved the open fire. It had a nice homely feel even though it was really busy. When we got to our table we had a lovely glass of champagne or wine to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, that was a lovely gesture. Thank you :) Now to the meal, it's pricey but you get a hell of a lot of food, the 16oz rib eye was cooled to perfection as was my partners black Ang is steak. Its the best steak I've actually had. Oh, the beef stuffed yorkies are insane... make that on a bigger scale and sell it as a main meal PLEASE!!! They're honestly amazing. I'm getting off track but the overall experience was brilliant and would recommend this to many people.

This place is very over rated and over priced. My starter was spicy rum bbq wings, only 5 really small and tasteless. I then had the 20oz T bone and asked for it to be cooked medium. It cam back as medium rare at best but mainly rare especially the near i got to the bone. The staff are very pleasant and helpful full and the seating in the both style seats was very comfortable. Just recently visited this establishment with some friends along with some guy called nick and my initial thoughts were as follows. First of all, we were served champagne which was delightful, never had this before so it was like turning over a new leaf! We soon ordered our starters and mains whilst enjoying our beveraginos. Our food had arrived to the table, my beautiful delicate steak served with a side of tomato, HERBS, fried onion and most importantly a dish of moist, well seasoned, elegant and usually tasty lettuce. It’s a shame it was only a quarter as I could’ve demolished the whole farm. The steak was decent tbf. We couldn’t stay for deserts unfortunately but the lettuce chunk served it’s purpose. 10/10 would recommend.

Having never dined at a Miller & Carter restaurant before we chose the closest one to us, upon arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. We could see the tables were well spaced out and a reasonable one way system in place throughout. Ordered a variety of foods from the lunch menu, Nacho Sharer to start, 6oz Steak, Burger, Fish & Chips plus desserts Creme Brulee and Apple Crumble Tart. All of the food was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, we will certainly be back again soon. A very nice lady greeted us and showed us to our table, and later had a laugh with us when she thought we were finished but in fact we were looking to see what pudding we wanted. Our waitress was Millie who was very attentive and friendly and had a giggle with us. We had the bistro rump it was melt in the mouth gorgeous, well worth the money. We will go back again. Overall it was a memorable first visit that makes me want to return.

Yesterday we went for my husband's birthday and it was a lovely meal. The service was exceptional. When our three month old baby woke up just as the main course was served the waiter offered to keep my husband's dinner on the grill so he could entertain her and still have a warm meal. When there was no dairy free option for desert again the waiter took initiative to ask the kitchen to make me a fruit salad. We never had to ask and nothing seemed to be too much effort. Yes it is a bit pricey so we use it as an occasional treat, but it is also worth it!

A really great steak, somewhat spoiled by dreadful service in the bar when we arrived. We arrived to be told that the others from our party had not yet arrived (they had, and had been advised to wait in the bar area) and when we went to the bar area to wait for them, found them there. I then went to the bar to order drinks, to find only one bar tender working, while three others stood engaged in conversation, and despite two of them clearly looking at me, they totally ignored me. After several minutes, I was eventually served by a very disgruntled and surly young man, and I very nearly walked out of the restaurant. Fortunately, we stayed, and enjoyed an excellent meal, with excellent service in the restaurant area.Two of us had the 50-day matured rib-eye, and mine was the best steak that I have had in several years. Sadly, this is not the first time that I have had a mixed experience here, but on a previous occasion it was the steak that was dreadful - a rib- eye on the bone, served raw and inedible near the bone, and over-done away from the bone. I guess it's pot-luck here.

Word of warning on the sauces - only go for the beef dripping one if you like a very meaty sauce (think Bovril). Overall: lovely staff, food and environment, so long as you aren't in a hurry (2 courses took 1.5 hours, which is a bit long for me).

Update: 2019 I'm pleased to say that over the past few years things have greatly improved. Even at busy times we have not had an issue since our first visit (see below). The staff are always friendly and attentive, the food is fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Job well done! 2017.... Let us get straight to the point, our recent visit was dire to say the least. We arrived on time and were promptly greeted in a polite and welcoming manner by a nice chap who guided us to a table, provided menus and told us that our waitress would be with us shortly. 30 minutes passed and in that time we noted that staff were huddled in groups talking, granted it was not that busy but we had not even been offered a drink. I went to the bar and met Zane, funny, polite and very helpful. He offered to put it on our bill and followed me back to the table to find out what number we were sat at, it turns out we were sat at table 24, a nice table for two near the front, it is just sadly that it was surrounded by a nuclear powered anti-service force field. I settled back into my role as customer, I had enjoyed my brief stint and being a server. It was not long before we realised that the force field was still up, ten minutes - I had started timing it for something to pass the time pardon the pun. So I went back to the bar and asked Zane if we maybe had to order from the bar. He apologised and a taller chap whose name I do not recall also apologised and told me that he would make sure someone took our order promptly. True to his word the prompt service came exactly 3 minutes later, a young lady apologised for leaving us and my theory of a nuclear powered shield was proven wrong. She explained that she hadn't memorised the tables she was supposed to be looking after. I would say that is a pretty important part of the job, knowing who you are serving! Still, she took our order, attempted to explain the lettuce wedge and apologised profusely. A nice gesture at the time but empty words as it would appear later. Twenty minutes, a timescale I thought more than acceptable to produce a salad and deep fry two croquettes. We caught the attention of the first chap as he finished sitting someone down next to us. I asked if it was possible to go to your other property at Rothley, mainly because we had already heard five reports of poor service at Enderby but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. He apologised and within a few minutes came back with our starters, a salad which had clearly been sat out near a hotplate for some time and my croquettes which were also accompanied by a side salad, by this I mean a very tired, wilted and hot pile of mixed leaves. We ate the meats, left the salad. It was dry but OK and was promptly cleared away. Thirty minutes passed and no-one had come anywhere near the table so my partner decided to keep checking her watch in an effort to prompt any staff. A well timed glance was just enough to gain the attention of our server, another apology came and a few minutes later she returned to tell us that our food was a priority in the kitchen. Five minutes later we were presented with lettuce wedges, a cunning description for a quarter of an iceberg lettuce with some sauce poured over the top, sprinkled with blue cheese and placed in a bowl with no room for maneuver. Our steaks were soon to follow and I was pleasantly surprised, I had the 12oz ribeye which for the way I like it (blue) it was cooked, presented and tasted fantastic. My partner had the 50 day aged ribeye which did look to have been hung longer and she loved the texture and taste. We had decided to cut our losses and go to another place for dessert and drinks at this point and requested the bill. You most certainly have that part of the service nailed, the bill appeared within moments and payment took immediately, no waiting around there! One to avoid. On the positive side have heard good reviews of the Rothley one.

Overall, Miller and Carter is a nice restaurant. Good steak, with a signature lettuce wedge and lovely sauces. However, with prices that promise a haven of taste but fail to deliver, and a very lacking vegetarian selection (which, to be fair, isn't surprising from a steakhouse), I can't see this becoming a repeat destination. The faultless customer service managed to save the day, but even the widest of smiles won't transform a steak from decent to decadent.

Ok, this is the best steak I have had in the UK and that was reflected in the price. From start to finish this was a really great meal. The garlic bread was next level. On the waitress's recommendation I had the 8oz grain fed ribeye; I thought grain fed was bad because of US corn, but this British beef cut was perfect. The meat was sweet, meaty, and creamy. The cook level was exact. The quarter lettuce was a bit of a waste but a nice gimmick. For a fancy night out, you can't do much better.
