Reviews of Mowgli Street Food
V. C.
Such a beautiful place inside and out. The swing style seats is certainly unique. The food was good value and just the right size whilst being rich in flavour. They do offer 10% NHS discount also. Would recommend. Attentive friendly staff.
J. G.
Booked a last minute table due to a change of plans and what a great change of plans it was.
The food at Mowgli is delicious, would definitely recommend at least 3 dishes per person as the portions aren't massive but they are very tasty, it's great to try lots of different dishes.
The cocktails with an Indian flavour twist were excellent as well, made normal cocktails seem a bit boring now.
The staff were friendly and helpful in explaining everything to us as well as helping with the gluten free menu.
T. R.
Beautiful food in interesting surroundings, not your normal Indian restaurant. Wheelchair friendly plus disabled toilets and wide doorways. Popped in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Service spot on and not a very long wait for food. Fantastic. A must try if your in the area
D. C.
Such a cute restaurant, lights were soo pretty and the swings. Just thought the portion sizes were tiny but had a really good time and the staff and service was 10/10
B. L.
Amazing food and service.
I visited the restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. Even though the place was busy with customers the service was brilliant. The food I ordered was really good. I started off with some chat bombs, they arrived promptly without any issues and tasted great. I also ordered the Monkey wrap. The chicken in the wrap was succulent and tasted amazing. Finally I ordered the brownie, the brownie came with Ice cream on top and tasted brilliant. I'd 100% be coming back here.
K. H.
Excellent food and very inviting atmosphere. The lights look amazing and gives off a cosy vibe with nostalgic music playing in the background.
A. H.
I really enjoyed the food here at lunch today. I'll start with that as a preface. The novelty of swing seats and the beautiful decor definitely draws you in.
However I will say this: the service today was shocking. Truly awful. It seemed as though our presence was a massive inconvenience for the staff. It was blunt, unfriendly, unwelcoming. And the receipt has the nerve of including service charge. Truly, a shocking move. I think I'll pass on this restaurant in future.

Beautiful interior, lovely food and kind staff! One of my favourite places to go out to eat in leicester would definitely recommend visiting!
M. T.
This was our first time at Mowgli and we were impressed from the moment we walked in. The decor is simple and very inviting with lots of mini lights and an emphasis on wood. We were greeted by a young lady called Tarryn who served us for the duration of our stay. She could not have been more attentive or knowledgeable of the menu and what a lovely person as well. The food completely surprised us, it is nothing like the standard British version of Indian food. We spent extensive time in India, eating the food of numerous states and Mowgli is much closer to the real thing. Every dish was fresh, very tasty and well presented. Our only criticism of Mowgli is the price of the alcohol (the food is very reasonable). Other than that we couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely be back, and soon.

Great service, great food. Fab place and sat outside like we were on our holibobs. Defo recommend. Chris is the best 👌
M. B.
Absolutely fantastic food and a feast for your eyes as well. The food is so tasty and there is such a wide selection. Service is pleasant and quick. Dishes are brought out as they are ready. Great atmosphere in there as well even at the lunchtime we were there. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go again.
C. V.
Great atmosphere,
Very tasty food,
Friendly professional staff,
Menu not so easy to read,
The bill at the end was surprisingly 10% service charge added 🤔 what is a bit of a bad aftertaste.
A. K.
Lovely food, lovely staff and the place is beautiful...loved the setup with all the fairy lights. They offer cocktails and mocktails as well and the place serves halal food. Definitely recommend and I will definitely go back!
J. W.
It was a warm evening so we were able to sit outside.
We had had the meat sharing set menu which was delicious and there was plenty of food for two.
Attentive, cheerful and helpful staff.
Will go again.
L. 3.
Excellent food, great way of trying new dishes. If you haven't been before, I'd say order a couple of the "starter" dishes each, plus a "main" per person, then your rice/bread choice. Deducted a star for the sullen, unhelpful waitress with the attitude problem-maybe reconsider whether a career in hospitality is for you!!
S. F.
Went with 4 girls on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was brilliant, service was good and food was absolutely delicious. A really good way to the start the night in a buzzing restaurant before heading out to a few bars. Also pretty reasonable considering how good the food was. Looking forward to going back.
J. G.
Amazing! Both food and service was awesome! This place has an awesome decor too. Highly recommended!
Z. P.
Food was delicious, as always. Staff very welcoming. Decorations and atmosphere were great, lovely lights in the whole restaurant. I can definitely recommend this place!
N. O.
Really lovely place. The ambience and decor were quite lovely also. They have a broad menu with a variety of dishes, drinks and desserts to try. The staff were very helpful and courteous and always had a smile on. I had the monkey wrap and it was very tasty.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I didn't observe enough care being given to the coronavirus situation except for having hand sanitizers. Our temperatures were not checked and the staff had no masks on. They tried to keep a distance when taking orders so that was good.
I enjoyed my time here anyway so I will definitely visit another time.
R. H.
My experience was nothing but positive about Mowgli. I thought the food tasted very authentic and portions were just right. Service was spot on and the decor was lovely and just added to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend a visit.
J. B.
It was ok. Place looks great but all the seats are hard wood and not comfortable. The food is barely Indian, not spicy whatsoever. I asked for my food to be extra spicy as i anticipated a lack of chilli and it was still mild. The food is more of a tapas style? And they didnt even have draft beer! Just £5 bottles.
i did like the food but i dont think ill come back.
J. M.
Loved this place. Great atmosphere and food was absolutely delicious. Staff were really good. Portion sizes for the street food stuff are pretty big so was stuffed.
N. W.
The starter style dishes were very tasty. The curry dishes were ok but not special. The decor is funky treetops style. The chairs were hard wood and uncomfortable. The worst is that you are on the clock from minute 1. Deposit of £15 per head and if youare more than 15 mins late you lose the table and the deposit. We were sttokk in traffic and my wife had to jump out of the car to get in the restaurant even though we rang to explain. Then you have 4 people on a tight table and told that the dishes come out when they are ready and they recommend 2 to 3 dishes per person. Literally not enough room on the table. When we said OK we will order 4 dishes and then another 4 we were told you don't have enough time for that. You only have 90 mins from your booking time. Not my idea of a relaxed meal. A lady next to us was waiting for her date , who also had trouble with graduation day traffic and she was told to make an order quickly or not enough time to eat the food within her 90 minute time slot. She was very embarrassed. If you are in a rush then it may work for you.

Julia was absolutely amazing all the way through my meal! Exquisite service that can not be matched!! It makes me want to go back and eat there every week! Could not recommend Julia and the restaurant enough!
L. F.
Mowgli in st Martin’s square Leicester is amazing!! The service is absolutely superb and we cannot thank Madi enough for her amazing service. She was absolutely lovely- she recommended the recipe book which we happily bought as the food was amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough and a special thanks to Madi who was wonderful!!
L. P.
I really enjoyed eating here, great ambience the lights are beautiful and incredible food I had the Goan fish curry. The only downside to this place was It was pretty noisy and found it hard to have a conversation. Other than that it was great
B. L.
Hi there I have been in this lovely restaurant where I found great service and amazing food. I’ll be back soon for another amazing dinner.
I suggest to everyone who likes and who don’t Indian food. 😋😋😋
H. S.
Visited Mowgli Restaurant and was greeted by really friendly staff, we were looked after by a lady called Julia who was really attentive, looked after us with a smile and the food was great. Highly recommend!! Thank you for a pleasurable experience!
A. L.
The food was excellent, so much flavor in every dish, we will be returning soon. To hard to pick a favourite dish.
The décor is unique and in the evening helps give a great atmosphere.
Only wished they had 2 for 1 on cocktails
R. C.
Decor is awesome. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The food looks and smells amazing...thankfully the taste matched up!
Book in advance for weekends as this place will stay packed for a while with repeat customers wanting their sweet tamarind fries!
H. J.
Loved the food here and the quickness of the food arriving. Ooh and the cocktail I had an Indian style old fashioned. Defo visit again.
R. L.
Can't recommend this place enough, came in on a Tuesday at 9pm and it was still so busy and full of life! The staff were so kind and warm, also really helpful with helping pick dishes for us since it was my first time there. And definitely couldn't fault the food it was delicious! Will definitely be going back, the restaurant itself is also do aesthetically pleasing!
A. G.
Megan was lovely. Food was great. Fish curry was a bit too spicy for my boyfriend but they got him some yoghurt (cuz baby)
A. W.
This restaurant was first class. The food was amazing the service was awesome and the girl that served us Tarryn couldn't do more. Best eating experience in leicester by far. I wish I could give 6 stars
S. J.
Visited Friday evening 4th March, absolutely fabulous, highly recommend the Monkey wrap and fish curry.....masala espresso martini also worth the tipple.
Relaxed atmosphere in chilled out street vibe surroundings.Staff attentive and patient 👌.
Can't wait to visit again
T. A.
Very different style for an Indian restaurant. Good quality food with tasty ingredients. The surprise Tiffin was delicious. Staff nice and attentive.
S. W. D.
First time visiting. I was amazed by the lighting, decor, some swing seating. The menu was varied but very filling, didn't have space for desert. Varied menu and PLENTY of vegan choices. Indian food as you've never tasted it before! Something for everyone.
D. P.
1st time eating here & it was absolutely superb! Staff were very polite, explained dishes, offered suggestions, lovely atmosphere, excellent food & great value at £55 including drinks & dessert...😁😁
Def visiting again & easily the best Indian food in Leicester hands down!!! A+++++
E. S.
Very modern and cozy atmosphere ,its been a pleasure also to be one of first customers on Opening in Leicester. For first time food was absolutely executed till perfection, great blend of flavours and textures. Also drink menu is really great ,Only sorry to say while visiting second and third time ,food wasn't done with such a detail even ordered same dishes gunpowder chicken and curry hope they will manage to get back to standard they set on first time .
A. G.
A great and querky place to eat. Decor is fantastic and food is great. A few pounds more per dish then you'd normally expect but definitely worth it. Will be going back again soon.
r. s.
So we arrived early for are reservation and had some Mowgli inspired drinks, chilli mango margarita and a smoked cardamom old fashioned, very nicely made. We got to sit on the swing seats which was a really fun. You don't swing on them too much so not much risk of falling off (wear jeans as they are wooden seats and a little slippery). The décor inside is amazing and really well done. The whole dining area is covered in fairy lights and one table has its own tree. We ordered some street food items and some mains. The food we had was gunpowder chicken, sticky wings and butter chicken with rice and Puri's. The food we got was delicious and well made. Amazing use of spice and seasoning, portion sizes were great as they looked small but were surprisingly filling. Really recommend Mowgli as the food is very authentic and most dishes will be different to what you may have had before at an Indian restaurant but in a really good way.
J. W.
Have eaten here a few times. It's always excellent tasty food, nice environment and friendly staff. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
A. P.
The decor inside is very nice, food is nice the staff were friendly in helping decide on the menu. Worth a visit if you not been.
J. B.
Lovely place, decor and seating fabulous, staff very friendly, food was delicious, definitely recommend 😀👍
S. S. S.
Gorgeous food and great atmosphere with super friendly staff. One of my favourite places to eat out. Even my teenagers love it!
E. T.
Whilst the aesthetic is clearly somewhat 'Instagram bait', the food had much more depth to it. Excellent Indian comfort food, and not unreasonable prices. Extensive and delicious vegan menu (there was also a gluten free menu). Would definitely recommend for a date venue - ticks all the boxes for a romantic evening out.
昌.
Beautiful House Lamb 🐑
Friendly people work here ;)
Great environment
5 out of 5
Learned the story about Mowgli
Inspiring …

I honestly don't understand the one star reviews. The food was so tasty, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Just wonderful. Highly recommended
V. P.
Overall the food was edible. Would not class it as great Indian taste. Ambience and decor was very good.
A. B.
Food was ok but felt we didn't get the experience we had hoped due to time limit on table. Just seemed interested in getting people in and out. We had time for our main and that was it. Food was good but over priced.
S. S.
Food top class cocktail very good, just one little thing wrong the glass for water some still got 💋 on. Say that looking forward to going back food that good
R. D.
Decent place, good cocktails, good service. Bit pricey and portion size is small although they do disclose that.
M. V.
Interesting concept, nice decor and swinging seating. Staff nice. The Chatt starter is nice, the mains I am indifferent with. Had butter chicken which was not exactly what I expected, the rotis are super but the tiffin, maybe next time.
L. W.
Superb street food with wonderful ambience, we loved it and will return soon
L. W.
Amazing venue, delicious food, good value for money, probably the very best customer service you find in the Shire. Very welcoming Restaurant and super child-friendly 👌
s. h.
Ab excellent dining experience! The ambiance was great and food was if excellent standard. Definitely recommend others to try and will definitely be returning 😊
D. H.
Nipped in for lunch with a friend my god the food was amazing will definitely be going back, I would highly recommend eating here, the staff and the surroundings were very nice but the food is not to be missed.
E. B.
Decor is great, swings are not comfortable whilst eating, with no elbow room. Male staff very good, female staff bit lost. Menu has good options, very different to other Indians in Leicester. Some food great, others bland and not enough meat in the meat dishes for the price. Wouldn’t go back.
j. s.
food good standard but overpriced for portions. a can of Camden pale ale £4. 80 but did not make clear on menu was a small can with less than half a pint on content!
K. B.
Pretty place, mild flavours but tasty food. Bit pricey but we had nice stay.
R. P.
Lovely food. Lovely ambience and decor in the hip, upmarket part of town. So always going to be a little pricey compared to other out of town places. £35 for 2 very full people.
m. a.
Nice food with a good range to pick from, would recommend the gun powder chicken though the butter chicken does not taste anything like one. Service is really fast, ordered 12 dishes in total and all arrived within 20 minutes.
E. J.
Fantastic food, and excellent service. Lovely staff and a great dining experience. See you soon !
N. B.
We absolutely love this restaurant, I love the decor (loads of fairy lights and a fake blossom tree) and the swing chairs, the food and service is amazing! The Vegan Chat bombs are delicious! If you like cocktails - try the Lychee one - it’s to die for!
R. B.
Some of the best Indian food I have had. Different and very very tasty. Shame our order was missed so over 30 mins before service bit we were given free drinks and a starter. Would go again. 👍
H. H.
Very, very tasty Indian small dishes. Highly recommend
M. H.
Lovely - small dishes street food style, in a rather effortlessly cool building. Been twice now, once formal and once after a bit of shopping. Will be back.
M. H.
We had a great dinner. Really interesting and very tasty food selection. Staff were very friendly and service was good. Outside space Greta place to sit and enjoy the bustle as well.
P.
I've never had indian food like it. Loved it
J. D.
Great service! Tasty food!
And the best vibe in Leicester ❤
T. P.
Wonderful place and the waiter Lisa was really wonderful at servicing and fabulous food.
C. M.
Superb cuisine.
Worth a visit everytime you're in Leicester. Loved the food I had.
L. S.
I honestly do not know how any one gives this restaurant less than 5 stars. I have eaten at several of the venues and have eaten at Leicester on multiple occasions and every time it is consistently excellent. I have introduced numerous friends and colleagues to Mowgli and all of them love it. This is not a pretentious fine dining restaurant nor is it a local curry house so make sure you understand what you are booking before you go. It is Indian street food therefore it is supposed to be able to be made fast and it comes out when it is ready regardless of table size or what is ordered. The tiffin options are excellent but for me I prefer to order lots of the sharing options such as tamarind fries, angry bird, monkey wrap as well as the temple dhals. The house chicken curry is amazing. If you're looking for a lamb bhuna go elsewhere.
B. B.
Lovely food and friendly helpful staff well worth going to and if you like try the swing seat's though some people may prefer a more stable seat while eating 🙂
R. M.
Had the most loveliest waitress, and food and cocktails were fab
p. m.
Absolutely fantastic food and really friendly welcoming staff. We didn't like the donuts so he didn't charge us for them. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Leicester.
S. B.
Liss was our server today, and she was delightful. Thank you. Such excellent service. The food is always delicious, and today was just as good as ever. One of our favourite places to eat, always reliable good.
L. M.
Awesome experience, great food and ambience, staff were superb
G. S.
Great food, lovely atmosphere 👌 and friendly staff.
T. G.
Nice setting and interesting menu with some great street food. However, the waitress said we should buy 3 dishes per person but this was definitely a) expensive and b) too much. But the kids menu portions were not enough. We had to order 2 gunpowder chicken dishes for our 6 year old to fill him up! Service was mixed. Some friendly, some abrupt.
E. C.
Its a brave thing to open this kind of Indian restaurant in Leicester where there is so much competition.
Mowgli is obviously trying to do things a little differently but unfortunately I found it a case of too much style over substance.
The restaurant was comfortable and very stylish and the staff were pleasant and attentive. We ordered the House Lamb Curry and the House Chicken Curry. The quality of the food ingredients was good, however it was all rather bland and portion sizes were quite small given the prices. Its probably fine for those who like their Indian food mild, but I found it a bit tasteless and lacking in depth.
D. S.
I really can't fault Mowgli. We arrived there after being turned away from an empty Giggling Squid that claimed to be full and found the experience to be the polar opposite.
The staff were immediately welcoming, smiling and interacting with our toddler.
The décor was lovely. Lots of lights, fancy swing seating and generally feeling quite sophisticated.
The menu was big and varied and offered several things I'd not tried before. The children's menu was nice too as it wasn't a simple cop-out of chicken/fish fingers/burgers and chips etc. It had a subset of the adult menu in smaller portions and our 2 year old loved his curry.
Mowgli was a great experience and we'll definitely be going back.
E. O.
Great food, tasty! Friendly and helpful staff.
D. T.
loved the interior, food was fantastic!!!
service was great,
L. C.
Bloody lovely! Tasty! Impressed!
M. G.
Nice decor and food came out fast.
3 of the items I asked for from the menu weren't available, so had to go with my 4th choice. Same with drinks, asked for 2 cocktails and they weren't available, it's not an enormous menu - come on guys!
Portion was tiny, especially for the price, initially I thought I got the concept wrong and it was some sort of Indian tapas restaurant.
One of our meals tasted pretty good, one was not so great.
Worst thing? We still left hungry. Come on guys, this is Leicester, we're surrounded by epic Indian cuisine, you need to up your game in this city!
S. K.
The atmosphere was so chill, service was great, food was average, drinks were delicious, portions were small so need to order a few things, price was average.
W. H.
Brilliant! After reading the Google reviews I was sceptical about this restaurant... I fudged the booking but a massively friendly waitress named Cat was really helpful and found a table, even with a swing seat!!
Emma our waitress was fun, attentive and explained how things work, the food came and it was tasty! I ordered a separate bowl of chillies as the menus is not “Hot” but i can reassure you it was tasty!!
I had a brilliant experience.....
P. W.
Amazing food with really interesting twists. If you like Indian food but want something a bit different than a boring curry, come here. It was fresh, tasty and inspiring. Keep up the good work guys!
S. H.
Creative atmosphere, friendly service, warm lighting. The food was a let down, dhal, lamb curry and prawn curry were watery, the flavours did not infuse into the dishes, amateur in taste. The wings were tasty dripping in sauce and the Monkey wrap chicken was tender and flavoursome.
S. H.
So, the place is nice, lovely ambiance, very polite staff, the swing tables are fun but not easy eating while sat there. Ordered the mowgli wrap which I struggled a bit, even though the meat was very nicely done. Small wrap, lots of leaves, little sauce.. Then had The Mowgli House Keema with rice, which unfortunately didn't impress me... Overall it's a nice place, excellent service, but the food a bit of a let down and a bit overpriced. Would I go there again? Don't think so... Maybe for a drink but not for the food. Definitely worth trying it!
N. G.
The food was amazing and the staff lovely and attentive. It was our first Time and can't wait to come back. Many thanks x
k. l.
Ellie thank you so much for looking after us in every way possible. My guests and I had an amazing experience. Not only was the food tasty but the service from you and your team was on point. You truly looked after each and everyone of us.
We look forward to seeing you again and sharing our great experience with friends and family.
U. M.
We ordered the Treacle Tamarind Fries which were delicious sweet and sticky, for the mains we ordered the Goan fish Curry the fish was really succulent and you could taste the ginger come through very well also the Temple Dhal which was brilliant the Dhal wasn't overly done and blended rather was fluffy and tasted awesome. We also had Rotis which turned out better than I thought they would they tasted really fresh and were buttery.
Service was brilliant and the ambience decor and seating was Great.
Thanks for a great Meal.
H. S.
First meal inside since the lockdown and definitely didn’t disappoint! Fast and friendly service, delicious food and great cocktails. Will definitely be returning😄
D. M. S.
Lovely name! Beautiful deco and decoration inside. We only tasted a selection of chaats during lunchtime. They were quite tasty. A very good attendance and therefore atmosphere on this Friday lunchtime..
L.
Interesting and different menu. We visited at lunch so were time constrained. I appreciate the food is cooked freshly but the service needs to speed up. Atmosphere lovely. Staff need to be a little more experienced and helpful. My friend wanted to add extra paneer to one of the wrap, and was told no you can't customize your order. She couldn't even get an extra side of paneer. Another colleague has an allergy and was very clear and specific when she ordered her dishes. Yet still found the allergy causing food in her meal. To be fair they did give her the food for free. But they were extremely lucky she didn't not have a more severe reaction to the food. Allergies are serious and people do die if exposed to the wrong food. Fairly expensive for fairly small portions of food. They advise to order 3 dishes, which could work to be an expensive option. So a unique eating experience but we've all said that we wont be rushing back
B. B.
Excellent! Delicious food and a cool ambience. Try it out
A. C.
TLDR: Quite honestly, go to another indian restaurant for a REAL indian food experience.
First things first, the aesthetic of the place is amazing and the vibe and atmosphere is too, it truly makes for a wonderful experience. However, the food was quite the polar opposite. We ordered 3 portions of pani puri ( 2 per portion ) and this was amazing, it was really soft and tasted amazing. We also ordered the Dhal, Keema & butter chicken. Mowgli's motto is essentially indian street food that can be shared, but the actual portions said otherwise; the dishes that the food was served in was the size of my palm and it was not shareable.
My main gripe about Mowgli is that its so expensive, for 3 main dishes & 3 portions of pani puri, it came out to £30, in my honest opinion, the small portions and lackluster taste is not worth that much when you can go to another restaurant and order the exact same dishes, get bigger portions, better tasting food all for a cheaper bill. We paid £15 since there was a 50% off discount so I felt it was worth £15 for what we had, but DEFINITLEY not £30. Lackluster food only left with a bad taste in my mouth.
In spite of the food, the service was much better than other restaurants I've been too and it was a pleasant experience.
3/5 In my opinion.
L. M.
Excellent, amazing food and lovely restaurant atmosphere. Good to have an Indian that isn’t just ‘curry and rice’! Green ginger lentil Dahl was amazing. Not sure what the negative reviewers were eating, sounds like they’re the bitter competition!
M.
Unique setting and even better food. "Swing".....by if you can!
J. C. R. R.
Nice place, really good food. ✌️ Would recommend.
R. S.
The wife was very excited to try Mowgli and when I saw the menu, I thought it may be the alternate Indian experience that Tamatanga failed to be. Unfortunately Mowgli falls into the same trap of trying to be so different that the food ends up bland and average by over relying on Tamarind sauce and Cumin to provide flavour. Summed up by my wife proclaiming the Mowgli coleslaw as the best part. Fortunately it was 50% off food during opening week so it was a cheap lesson to learn.
Service was good which is why it still got 3 stars.
N. C.
Expensive, everything tasted of tamarind. Venue: lacks decor. Perhaps some photography of indian food or monuments on the walls would be good.
L. S.
Tremendous flavoursome food. Indian tapas basically and really tasty. Good service too. Highly recommended.
R. P.
8/10 for atmosphere
7/10 for service as the one of the first few to be served as it opened. Then an hour and half wait for others as we left.
Most importantly 3/10 for food as it was covered in tamarind and bland.
50% discount does not entice a return dining experience especially at the prices advertised.
T. M.
Lovely food and very different from the usual Indian restaurants. Very friendly and efficient service.
R. A.
Food was outstanding, great choice. All the staff were freindly and efficient but Emma was the shining star. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend.
R. W.
Fantastic new restaurant in a hip area of Leicester. Fresh tasting dishes, excellent Gin cocktails and knowledgeable and attentive staff (Thank you Jarad!). The restaurant itself has great buzz and an attractive string light setting with a few rope swing tables which is both novel and inventive. Each bill contains an optional £1 charity contribution to Rainbows children’s hospice which is a brilliant idea and one that I haven’t seen before.
If you are looking for a standard chicken tikka masala, maybe look elsewhere. If you want to eat nicely presented, super fresh tasting Indian street food, away from your usual go to Indian dish in a relaxed, attractive setting then Mowgli is the one.
We visited on the restaurants opening night but the organisation, knowledge and care of the staff would have me believe that this was an established, well-rehearsed venue.
Well done Mowgli!
T. V.
Beautiful place. Absolutely loved the food!!!! The service was great, food promptly served & piping hot. Can’t wait to come again and try more of the menu!!!
The Brel puri is addictive 🤤
J. F.
Food and cocktails tasted very nice. Portion sizes were OK for the price. Very nice atmosphere - warm lighting
C. B.
Good food and great quick service but the wine was pricey

The food, drink and dessert have quality, very fast and friendly service. The place is very nice. I didn't give 5 stars because I didn't have the towels and teaspoon for dessert.

Mowgli is my all time favourite place to eat and I 100% reccommended it to everyone. The best Indian restaurant I have been to anywhere Try their Tiffin boxes and chat bombs for an experience to remember They also do great cocktails and have the most wonderful friendly staff Well worth visiting

Food was ok. We had lamb which ended up being pretty dry and the roti served was half cooked. Otherwise pretty good and lovely atmosphere!

Very nice fancy little place, was a bit disappointed with the service as it could of been much better. Food was very yummy however, just a bit pricey for such a small dish compared to other places in Leicester.
P. S.
Didn't have a full meal, just some light bites. Really nice food, interesting menu, good service even though it was busy, would definitely go back for a full meal.

Here at Mowgli there is truly something for everyone. From vibrant vegetarian dishes to moorish meat combinations. Mowgli creates a great name for Indian “Street Food” cuisine. Choose your dishes wisely and come with an empty stomach for Mowgli will satisfy your hearts content.
P.s. for those looking for something unique, full of flavour and general safe options, I personally recommend the Ruby Wrap; Gunpowder Chicken and Temple Dahl.

Best Indian Food and service in townnnn

Interior concept gets the three stars. Staff were friendly. The food is forgettable. And the juices aren’t fresh. The price is on point for food options.

Amazing food, great service. Our waitress Zoe was lovely. We will be back for sure.

Delicious food in an attractive restaurant. Definitely worth sharing some courses with those at your table to try as many different options as possible.

Great atmosphere, very relaxed and the food was excellent. The usage if fairy lights provides a good finishing touch to the scene 😊
E. H.
Very good food, and excellent service by friendly waitresses.
T. B.
Restaurant is lovely, just unfortunate that half of the menu was not available due to having a problem with the gas in the kitchen. So most of the street food you couldn't have.
U. L.
We were left disappointed with the service and the food, unfortunately, as we were really looking forward to our first visit
S. A.

Was really looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately the food was not quite to my standards as an Indian. The veggie dishes we ordered felt like they were quickly cooked ( strong tomato base taste, raw masala taste). If you are looking for tasty authentic Indian food, try somewhere else. The only thing I liked about this place was the ambience. That gets a 10/10.
V. J.
The concept is great, streetfood with lovely decor but I felt the dishes we ordered were on the sweet side. It would make sense if it were spicy and the sweet balances the heat but sadly it didn't tickle my taste buds. The mocktails were overly sweet, and although the dessert looked promising, the sweet side of my taste buds couldnt hack anymore. It's a shame really because half of our party had travelled from London to celebrate my nephew's bday and majority of us weren't impressed with our meal. Perhaps a quick bite to eat if you're passing by but it's not really on my must go to place.

(Translated) Very good!
The place beautiful, the food very good and they served us super well. Frankly it has surprised us and if we were more time in the city we would return for sure. They also had a letter for coeliacs and were very aware of the issue. (The browni with amazing ice cream)

Recomendado!
