Poachers Brasserie in Thurlaston, what a little gem... Came here using a Groupon deal otherwise we'd probably never have discovered it but so glad we did. The presentation on the outside as a well kept quaint village pub gave way to a tasteful mix of traditional and modern in the bar. Moving on through to the dining room the look transformed again into comfortable trendy chic with tactile chunky farmhouse tables. A great clear manageable menu with tasty choices to play safe or experiment with. The prices in my humble opinion put it in the treat/ special occasion bracket of the average budget. The Groupon deal made this not so much of a stretch but be prepared to pay a supplement with a meal deal. The food itself was perfectly presented, perfectly cooked and full of taste and flavour. I had scallops in a yellow pepper sauce with baby grilled plum tomatoes as a starter and the 8oz Sirloin rare as a main full of taste with a melt in the mouth texture. Last but not least... the service... carried out by Stephanie (apologies if I've chosen the incorrect spelling) giving the perfect level of attention and unobtrusive service. So polite with a mix of English and Italian thank yous, your welcome and grazie etc Now we know of this lovely little place, I really wouldn't be surprised if we stop again for lunch in the not too distant future... highly recommend.

The Poachers Brasserie, is a gem. Its a fantastic food experience not just a meal out. From the fantastic decor, relaxed warm inviting atmosphere to the superb fusion of food from across the world, its a mist visit place. Add to that a fantastic wine list, and you are in for a real treat.

Delicious food, amazingly friendly staff, very accommodating. My friend is gluten intolerant and they we’re just so marvellous in trying to make dishes work for her and also have us a free scoop of ice cream simply because they knew we’d love the flavour. Chef even came out personally to ask us how our food was. 100% returning again!

The food was excellent here. The steak did look good but I’m afraid I remembered to take the photo after I began devouring it. However, I did remember to capture dessert. It was wonderful. Very light and not too sweet. Just perfect. The service here was excellent. Some of the best I’ve seen in this country. I will definitely be returning.

Been here a couple of times now and love the food, whether it's lunch or dinner the only problem you'll have is choosing what to eat and it's only a small menu! This time I had a pizza with cream and purple potatoes on it with some bread and olives to start.. so good! Pizza was a good size and stonebaked and I really loved the combination of toppings! Great atmosphere in here too as it's a decent size, well decorated and has a buzz about it, staff are super friendly and really attentive. Will definitely be returning!

We had an excellent family meal last night in this lovely restaurant. The service was good and the food and wine delicious with some interesting combinations. Visited last night with friends - what a wonderful evening.I cannot remember ever eating a better meal. Every course was brimming Morning with taste and a treat for the eye.I have rarely asked to give my compliments to the chef but the duck I ate was magical. First things first and most important point of all. If your looking for pub grub. This is not the place for you. The best way to describe the food was elegant, sophisticated and subtle. There was no explosion of flavour but subtleness on your tougue. Portions seem small upon arrival to you but after finishing your meal you find yourself comfortable. This is not a place to take younger children who like certain foods. I would recommend you check the menus before booking a table to see if there is anything you'd want to try. The atmosphere was charming and cosy i would say. The music wasn't to loud so you could hear people speaking. The waiting staff were brilliant and always went the extra mile for us and we where a big party. If you want to treat someone to food that is different to what your used to i would recommend this place highly but check the menu before going.

First impressions as we walked in, "wow, this is cosy and pleasing. Service is great, bubbly and friendly. Food was outstanding, as always with A la Carte, one thinks "Is that all I get" but the pleasure is in the eating and savouring of beautifully crafted food. The Cheese board was a trifle disappointing, but that's because I have a taste for soft cheeses, but one must try the recommended wine with the Cheese Board, a real master stroke. Would I go again, absolutely, with the family in tow.

The poachers is perfect for birthdays and events, we had our wedding here and it was lovely with very special memories.. Also the food delieverys to my parent I know they really appreciate during lockdown

Please give this lovely restaurant a go, we were a party of 7 and had an amazing night. The food was 5 star and the service matched, friendly and accommodating. Particular favourites were the soft shell crab and salt cod croquettes, but to be honest as there were 7 of us we tried most things on the menu and not one disappointed - our only regret is that this is not on our doorstep or we would be very regular visitors.

(Translated) This place is magical. After opening the door, the smell and the aura of this place take you to another world. Food, on the other hand, is a different dimension of visual and taste experiences and sensations. The starter is a taco with the captivating flavor of a corn prawn pancake and pickled onion. Surprisingly delicious. The second photo is a sous vide egg on mushrooms and OMG potato mousse captivating. My husband ate escalopes with marinated cauliflower, they were delicious as you could see on his face :). Main courses are wild sea bass on spinach and smoked fish broth, sprinkled with truffles, heaven in my mouth. The steak from what I heard from my husband is the best ever. The quintessence of these experiences were hay ice cream and tart tattin. This place is beautiful in soul and the food is the best I have eaten in the UK so far. Po otwarciu drzwi zapach jak i aura tego miejsca przenosi Cię do innego świata. Natomiast jedzenie, to inny wymiar doświadczeń i doznań wizualnych i smakowych. Przystawka to taco zniewalający smak placka kukurydzianego krewetki i marynowanej cebulki. Zaskakujące przepyszne. Drugie zdjęcie to jajko sous vide na grzybach i piance z ziemniaka OMG zniewalające . Eskalopki z marynowanym kalafiorem jadł mój mąż, były przepyszne co można było zaobserwować na jego twarzy :). Dania główne to dziki sea bass na szpinaku i wędzonym bulionie z ryb posypany truflami niebo w gębie . Stek z tego co słyszałam od męża to najlepszy ever. Kwintesencja tych doznań były lody z siana i tarta tattin . Miejsce to, jest przepiękne z dusza a jedzenie jest najlepszym jakie jadłam do tej pory w UK . Wisienka na torcie jest wspaniała naturalna uśmiechnięta obsługa . Byla to niezapomniana 16 rocznica ślubu . Dziękujemy
