Wonderful cafe where all food is vegan. One vegan plus 2 omnivore adults and 1 omnivore child (and a baby) all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Service was warm and efficient. Prices very fair (e.g £8-10 for a super, doughy, delicious pizza, similar price for most main courses). There are some tables with plug points and USB charge points. We were given takeaway boxes for the leftovers. Would thoroughly recommend regardless of whether you usually eat meat or animal products or not!

The waffles were awesome. Pepperoni pizza was nice as well, however the dough didn't rise completely. The taste was very good. The restroom had holes on the wall, so anyone can potetially see you from next door

Great vegan cafe with multitude of options for beverages and food. Teas and coffee are sustainable and have an incredible quality. Slightly more expensive than a Nero or Costa, but quality will shine. Ideal to go with friends or on a date. It's near the square and it's perfect for spring and summer to have a coffee outside. Generally a bit slow preparing the drinks.

Attended a baby shower here, eleven of us, friendly and attentive staff, delicious cake, only slight downside was people who ordered pizzas had eaten theirs by the time the burgers arrived. I still recommend the place though, I plan to return.

Amazing vibe of this place, beautiful architectural interior and a cozy outdoor sitting. Staff is awesome, great service. My husband placed a wrong order which put me off when I got my food but the staff changed it for me. It really made my day after I got my jab and was hurting a little. Oh and yes the food tasted delicious. Must visit. Highly recommended.

I like this place, and it is honestly my recomendation for a posh-feeling lunch in Leicester City centre. It is right next to the municipal secure bike parking too so if you want to ride in, eat some freshly made, authentic, quality vegan food then make Prana your number one stop. Table service is delivery of food only. You must order at the counter and pay ahead of eating. The food is a little on the pricier side, but delicious even for non-vegans like me. The space is cool and lovely in the summer, and warm and open in the winter. Seriously. Go and eat here, it is worth your support and perfect for a lunch that won't leave you feeling sluggish all afternoon.

My Husband and I had been planning to visit Prana Café for a while, so one Sunday we decided to visit and enjoyed a Vegan breakfast which was delicious, the service was very good and the building is beautiful with a gorgeous ceiling - it used to be a bank. We will definitely be back.

First time we’ve come to Leicester and not eaten on Melton Road and it has definitely been a refreshing change to eat at Prana. We ordered two vegan breakfasts (one gluten free) and followed this through with two deserts and it was devine. Great location, great menu, great servings and a very trendy place. I placed and order for a ferrero rocher cake for a party. It was by far the most delicious cake vegan cake I've had (vegan for 5 years now). My family was raving about it the next day and wanted more. The service was exceptional (we had some confusion around collection). Excellent, place to have Vegan, Vegetarian, meal. U can sit outside or inside, a wonderful atmosphere, walls are decorated, very refreshing. Prices are slightly, high and portions are huge amounts, food is very tasty. But are very slow, in getting the food ready, this is the only, major problem. The 2 Chefs, cook at the counter, openly so, no hidden cooking I do recommend, this place to eat, if u are, Vegetarian /Vegan. I will surly, make Prana my regular, place to eat, when I am in Leicester Town, Center

A vegan foodie gem of a place. Every time we visit our daughter who's at the Uni we make a point of eating at Prana. The food, service and vibes have always been exceptionally good. We visited yesterday for lunch and ordered the vegetable stir fried rice and the tofu curry. The tofu curry tasted wonderful but was served in luke warm and my rice dish had a lovely flavour but was incredibly salty. Not the normal high standard we've come to expect. Everyone has a bad day so we're chalking it up to that. We'll certainly be back to eat here again and hopefully the equilibrium will have returned. The service and cleanliness were as perfect as always 😁

A brilliant whole food cafe, the location is great, with nice veiws out towards the town hall square. The seating is very comfortable and the eating area is spacious with a large number of seats and tables available, it has a nice quiet atmosphere - due to the high ceilings it feels even bigger and is not a noisy location, it is a good place to have a nice relaxing snack and drink. The food is delicious and there is a good selection of cafe food available, sandwiches, cakes, cookies, brownies & flapjacks and all the food available is vegan. They seem to serve all regular cafe drinks, hot chocolate, various coffees & teas which are available with regular milk or various vegan milk substitutes. The place is very clean and has been tastefully decorated and has clean toilet facilities. The staff are polite and friendly and the service along with everything else is great.

Beautiful building, with great outdoor seating in the square. The vegan breakfast was disappointing sadly, it took quite a while, the Tofu was just a slab of unflavoured Tofu ( Tofu scramble please!), the toast was dry (spread please!), the bacon was 'this isn't bacon', which I can't stand, but I know some people like it so each to their own. Sausages and beans were OK, but that should be a given really. Iced coffee and smoothies were good. This place has great potential, and it's great to see an independent vegan place, some jazz music and a warmer welcome would make the atmosphere I think. The pizza looked amazing, I think I would order that next time.

Beautiful cafe. There are plenty of all vegan options. It is definitely on the very pricy side so be aware, but the food is beautifully presented and tastes wonderful. I did find the Buddha bowl a quite bland compared to other places, but the waffles and milkshakes are amazing. I do wish the place opened later, however

We're still in lockdown so I can't visit one of my favourite coffee shops but saw they were on Uber eats so grabbed a bite. Nice vegan cafe in the heart of Leicester. I prefer healthy louisa near the bus station but its still OK. A bit too warm as the heaters blast out a but too much. Service was great. Food and drinks are good but slightly overpriced.

A totally vegan food establishment. To be fair it was the location that attracted my son and I, situated as it is in a lovely square surrounded by some of Leicester's best architecture. So an oatmeal flat white and some cloudy lemonade later we were well happy! I clocked some of the food coming out which was well presented and looked delicious and colourful, so I think we'll be making a return trip to give the menu a good thrashing. Friendly and helpful service, especially as staff took the time to explain the oatmeal milk thing and to be fair, the recommendation was excellent; it was a great coffee. No patronising nonsense to an obviously non vegan joe! All in all, a very good experience. To be recommended! 😁👍🏻🤗

Really lovely food! I went to Tesco cafe once and had meat free sausages and the cafe assistant said they were dry because they weren't meat 🤣 you needed a gallon of water, this food was delicious and presented nicely and its lovely to sit inside as we did, my daughter had pancakes and they were up to her high standards shes a very fussy 6 year old! Nice atmosphere too! Will be coming back.

Lovely outdoor and indoor seating, incredible food (vegan meat tasted very accurate and delicious, cheese was also much better than a lot of other vegan cheeses), and very happy about the number of GF options as well as the fact everything is vegan. A little pricey (£10 for a quarter pounder and wedges, but definitely filling), but you get what you pay for.

I came here twice in one day as I really wanted to try the vegan pancakes but was too full at the time of my first visit. I’m so happy I came back! Not only are these the best vegan pancakes in the world- both of the employees working were extremely friendly and accommodating. I tried the strawberry aura pancakes based on the recommendation of one of the servers and it was better than I could imagine. If I was in Leicester ever again I would come back here for every meal.

Absolutely stunning building, high ceilings, nice and airy, great location right next to the Town Hall Sq. Importantly, despite being a grand old building, it is always lovely and warm! They serve Red Brick coffee from Square Mile Coffee Roasters; an early indicator you have walked in to a good coffee shop! They have an excellent selection of vegan cakes, brownies, scones etc. (the rose cake is a particular highlight). Staff are always friendly. You order at the til and the coffee is brought out to you so you can settle down on a table instead of having to wait around at a counter for your coffee to be made and collect (it's the small things that make a difference to your experience). Excellent addition to the Leicester coffee scene and the vegan scene.

Fantastic concept, especially if you follow any kind of restricted diet, beautiful building and decor, and very efficient, friendly service. There's also clearly a lot of thought and love gone into the offering, which is all home made and vegan. Gluten free options are available. However, my lower rating is connected to the lower value for money: there's a lot of competition for the lunch time £, and Prana is pricey. I appreciate that overheads are likely to be high and the raw ingredients they're buying are also more expensive, but a sandwich is still a sandwich and if I'm buying it I want it to fill me up. My drink was great, but the cup was small: I'd have liked it to last as long as my sandwich. The cake looked fantastic but wasn't baked evenly, meaning that the inside was a bit stodgy compared to the outside which was a bit dry. I like to support small businesses, but also have to do so within my own means, and from my one visit so far what you pay doesn't match what you get.

My wife really likes Prana but my experiences has been a bit luke warm. It has a nice enterior and friendly staff however the food left me dissapointed. I have had a sandwich twice here and both times it was very lacking in filling. The homous that was supposed to be in it was very thinly spread and soaked into the bread by the time it got to our table leaving a few decorative leaves for substance resulting in a very dry meal. I also tried the strawberry topped pancakes and they were very kind to let me customise it by substituting the unhealthy sugary elements for other things like peanut butter and banana. The pancakes themselves were great and plentiful but they were topped 4 quarters of a single strawberry, less than 4 small slices of a banana and a very small dollop of stiff, almost dried peanut butter in a corner, so the pancakes ended up having to stand for themeselves. Thankfully they were good but the toppings were very skimpy so I personally wouldn't order it again. I also had breakfast twice and the amount of scrambled tofu each time was laughable. I would have laughed if I wasn't hungry. I did however enjoy the ?super-food? smoothies. My feedback would be to be a tad more thoughtfulness in the execution and presentation of the meals and offer a healthy pancake topping option without chocolate and cream and sugar for the more health conscious patron. For example my personal favourite to make at home is banana, blueberries peanut butter and very little maple syrup. Also the substance of the sandwiches could do with a review imo as I won't bother with them again. This is however all my subjective experience and not representative on anyone else' as my wife has very much enjoyed her meals each time, including the hot lasagne and my parents really liked the afternoon tea which surprised them as they are not vegan so that is commendable. A comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and a good choice of food make Prana a solid destination for my wife, but for now, just a coffee for me while she enjoys her food.

If you are looking for tasty vegan food, you must visit this cafe. It is located at the heart of the city and boasts great interiors. They serve breakfast, lunch, desserts, coffee & drinks as well as a range of afternoon tea. The menu is affordably priced which makes the cafe very pocket-friendly for everyone.

Tasty food, however got a wirdly smelling shreded carrots, as if fermented, but the rest was tasty. Bought a bowl for take a way, a portion was half of what vegan would eat, therefore not good for a lunch during the work. Not a good value for money. Friendly staff. Edit: Replying to the comment made by Prana Cafe. Regarding the portion, while it might be fine to eat one meal then another, and add a dessert to it to satisfy your hunger, however as mentioned for a lunch during the work, this portion was not even in half satisfying. None of us, and we were five felt satisfied and we had to get another meal. A jacket potato was neither satisfying, if you were to get a cheaper jacket potato from other places, you wouldn't need to eat another meal. If you were to get a lunch tiffin from Kayal Herb for 4 pounds you would be satisfied, if you were to get a bowl for 6 pounds from Grounded Kitchen you would be fully satisfied. To eat in, even if the prices are quite high, perhaps it's still a good choice if considering quality of food, however for a take away especially for work lunch this is a very bad choice, you would need to get another meal and some snack.
