Really yummy food, we had chilli paneer and the fried aubergine. We went quite late and we got served quickly and the wait staff were great too. Didn't rush us out even though they had closed. Will definitely come back!

Absolutely loved the dishes, it’s the perfect example of authentic South Indian food. We had amazing service, everything arrived straight away, fresh and warm. The flavours are perfect and we were offered a choice of spice level so all dishes can be enjoyed no matter how much spice you are able to take. Also the vibe of the restaurant was very calming and easy to relax in, although the lighting could be a little brighter, this is not a big issue though. Overall my visit was perfect, will be visiting again, and highly recommend more people to visit.

I really like this place. I have been a couple of times and the food is delicious and good value. I particularly recommend the 'chilly egg' (a starter) and the chef's special naan. The staff are very friendly too. Probably the only element that could be improved is the environment - the restaurant is downstairs without windows. But the food is well worth it

Never been before, but enjoyed the service and food. I did however feel some dishes where a little salty for my taste. Overall however the dining experience was very good. As usual ended up with taking a doggy bag home lol.

We are regulars here and the food is always incredible - there is tough competition in Leicester but this is one of my absolute favourite places for a curry. This is one of my favs in Leicester. Very tasty, flavourful and delicious food they have. I recommend their chicken lollipops, lamb biryanis and sweet lassi💯. Oh and their chicken butter too is immaculate! Ambience is calm and great customer service offered. Definitely check this out.

Located a stone throw away from the premier inn city centre. The food was 5stars, and service by Sam was ultra neat! I had a tikka masala … nice little ting to it, full of flavour… and the egg rice was out of this world! Mopped up by a fresh garlic naan… the real deal! An almost hidden gem, literally an underground venue (disabled access could be an issue - didn't notice a lift) 2nd lunch visit, skipped the starters on this visit as the "set lunch deal" is a huge amount of tasty treats. They can't be making any money on it, despite having only the main, still couldn't finish! Perhaps a little too spicy (ordered "hot") so next visit (there will be a next visit) will go with medium. Throughly enjoyed 😉

DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS LEICESTER GEM!!! Food is impeccable, literally cannot fault it. I’ve had tonnes of meals out - from popular classics like Dishoom to Michelin starred restaurants and nothing can top Santhi. Highlights include the chilli paneer which is the best I’ve had anywhere and fantastic with crispy mushrooms and crispy bhajia; malabar, sothi and chettinad curries; and biryani. Kingfisher and cobra on draft too - and all inexpensive as anything in a comfortable setting. Promise I’m not being paid to write this!! 😅 Our server Sam was super attentive and helpful as always, and catered for my allergy. There are also lots of vegan and veggie options. Cannot recommend enough.

I love this restaurant, I used to live there for a short while and went here when I first moved and never bothered trying anywhere else in the city centre area (there are great restaurants on Melton Road too however but its a little further up). The staff are so friendly but not overbearing or pushy, they leave you to it but are attentive at the right moments and the food is great! Miss it!

Last night I been to the Santhi restaurant this is my favourite restaurant in Leicester city as I find the food great and every time I visit I never been disappointed, always just how i like it. The service is always great and food ordered and received in good time even on busy days too, which is great to see also, staff are experienced and committed to great service. My favourite dish is the chicken Biriyani and also the chilli paneer. Thanks guys for a good service

Food, atmosphere, service, prices, cleanliness all superb. Thinking that the house red wine, may be reasonable, even found that superb too. Don't let it put you off as the restaurant entrance goes downstairs, and can't be seen easily from the pavement. Sure you will not be disappointed. Would recommend to anyone.

Found this restaurant on google very close to the hotel. It had good reviews and we were able to book a table online. It was a Sunday night so not sure it would have been a problem to just walk in. You could easily walk past this as the frontage is not huge and you access the restaurant down some steep stairs so hold on. Pleasantly greeted as we walked through the door, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. The food was nice and cooked very timely. The menu was south Indian which meant some of the popular sides weren't on the menu but I enjoyed the meal nevertheless.

A great selection of food with a variety of very authentic Indian dishes which taste amazing. In terms of quality of food this easily ranks as one of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in. The staff were very knowledgeable and gave some great recommendations. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's underground and therefore has no windows so a lack of natural light which wasn't helped by there being a few flickering lights.

Absolutely recommend this restaurant! Booked it on line, for party of four people. Food is so flavorsome! I had the Ceylon lamb curry, packs a bit of heat but so tasty. The popadoms are thin and crispy, portion sizes are great too. We also recommend the chicken balti and the prawn pasanda. (Think that's what it was called). Staff are really polite and friendly, they even went out to buy a bottle of baileys because we asked for a shot! Love this place. Second time we've been. Definitely not the last. Thanks guys ! Used to be one of my favourite places to eat. Recently portions have been greatly cut down including naan size, so a bit disappointed with my latest visit. Prices have been lifted aswell. Food was nicer before. Be aware of the chutneys they offer, in many other places they are free, but you will be charged for them.

Santhi Indian Restaurant, is one of my favourite place I like to go when I am in Leicester. The food is excellent, outstanding customer service and great atmosphere. I have been here several times with my friends, family and colleagues and always enjoy the food at Santhi. One of my top recommendation would be Chilli panner, aubergine stir fry, chicken lolly pop, chicken madras, Santhi fried rice and many more. There has been a lot of buzz about this new restaurant around Leicester, so I decided to check it out for myself. I have to admit, I was impressed with the overall experience at Santhi, the customer service was second to none: the staff seemed to know their menu and always wore a smile! As majority of my friends are vegetarians we usually struggle to find a restaurant that would cater for both veg and non-veg people, but no problems at Santhi. The food was to die for; I had the fish 65 as starters, lamb madras as mains with Santhi’s special nan, and a cheeky kulfi for dessert. There is a decent selection to choose from, but for all those non-veg out there, you have to try the fish 65! Great customer service, excellent atmosphere, amazing food and reasonably priced, what more can you ask for? - definitely be back soon!

My husband and I used Santhi Restaurant for the catering for our wedding. Sentur and Neera were absolutely fantastic. The service we received was outstanding not only organising our catering and drinks but also on the wedding day. They helped us put a fantastic menu together, did a food tasting session, sorted out all the drinks for our bar for us and much more. We did not have to worry about a thing as they had everything in hand. All our guests complimented how tasty the food was and also how friendly and helpful all the waiting staff that Sentur and Neera provided to serve the food and drinks were. They were all absolutely amazing. If I ever have any future party's and need the catering taken care off, I will definitely be using Santhi Restaurant. Thank you so much for all your hard work.
