I visited Spice of India for the first time last night and I certainly will be going back! I was very impressed with the food which was beautiful. The garlic and cheesy naan were both very tasty, my lamb main was cooked to perfection, with every bite melting in my mouth and the egg and chicken rice was yummy. My partner had the meat tower which we ordered on recommendation and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive and personable and the meals are reasonable priced. I highly recommend giving Spice of India

What a brilliant time we had for Sean’s 70th birthday in the function room last night. Everything was perfect and all if the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The food was excellent as always, thank you.. Sue on the bar and George on the hot Buffett were amazing thank you.. and a big thank you to Heena for sorting out the room thank you….

Mistakenly ordered from here thinking it was a closer restaurant of the same name. I'm very glad we did, because it was easily the nicest Indian takeaway I've ever had. And that's after it had been sitting in the car for half an hour on the drive back. I'll definitely eat here again, but I might dine in next time lol.

Spice of India hosted our wedding party upstairs in the banquet area and it was a fantastic night which everyone enjoyed. The food and service was great as usual. The owners and staff were very welcoming would definitely come back for another party.

We had heard so much about Spice of India, lived in the area for almost 10 years and finally visited on New Years Eve. Wow, we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is very friendly, the staff are very friendly and the food was simply amazing, we had a slight delay in getting our food but nothing that has put us off going back (which we will be doing). The prices are extremely reasonable given the current climate. Do yourselves a favour and book a table.

Best place in whole of Leicester to have a curry. Food and service is amazing. Make sure to try the sizzler, cheese and chilli roti and the amazing variety of curries. Easy to find, plenty of parking and a bus route just outside. They offer take away options too. Drinks are amazing. Make sure to take advantage of the Indian beers on offer to make your meal taste even better. Make sure to finish off your dinner with one of their tasty desserts. 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

First time here, we came on a Friday night. Staff where very welcoming and friendly. Only waited 10 minutes s to be seated. There was a party of 15 and the starters came out on time and was spot on, also the mains. Table service was good. Cobra all the way, 660 bottles too. All our food was good and hot. Seated quickly as we were booked in. Drinks served promptly.... however we were ignored for 30minutes until we actually rang the restaurant and asked to place our order! Two wanted starters two wanted only popadoms. We were told we couldn't all be served together as popadoms always are served first... couldn't you just keep them back until starters were ready? Confusion when starters arrived, mine was ordered as a main but came with the starter (sent it back) Shaslik x2 were both very dry and very salty. The restaurant wasn't overly busy lots of staff only one older (if thats you apologies sent) knew what they were doing. Had to ask for a glass of water twice as meal was too salty. All in all have had very much better elsewhere. Sorry 🤔

This was my first time dining at Spice of India even though I previously had been there for an event 1.5 years ago and found the food just average. However when I went back this time, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was actually quite good and the staff were super attentive and friendly. We walked in on a Friday evening without any reservation and got the table quickly on the spot at 7 pm without having to wait.

Hate to say it, but this place is unfortunately a victim of its own success. Specials have been taken off due to the 'recession' (although it was packed). Hasina was inedible due to the amount of chilli sauce plastered all over it. More like a 'canteen' than a restaurant. Shame, as it has been great before and the staff always friendly and helpful.

Went to the Spice of India with my son and his girlfriend last night and had a lovely meal as usual. I was disappointed to find out that on a previous visit with my family and friends that a friend left bad feed back about his meal and the waiting time. That particular evening the restaurant was extremely busy and we had not booked, but they still found space for us. This restaurant is always my first choice when going out for an Indian meal. I would highly recommend the spice of Indian. This review is based on lots and lots of visits.

Fantastic Restaurant with the tastiest Indian food in Leicester. Just like my mum makes it. 😊 The Manager Hina and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming you into the restaurant. Been coming for 5 year and Hina is always there to greet you with a smile. Also the food is Fab every time. Went there tonight and the place was really busy with plenty of staff to make sure you were served quickly too. Good service excellent food and great manager and very clean place too.

Awesome food, nice staff, always welcoming. The owners and staff always cater to our needs, went there last night for a birthday party, asked for a bigger table as we order a lot of food. Within minutes they checked availability and we were moved to bigger tables for the 10 of us. Constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything throughout the night. Helped with deciding what to order and also cooked just as we liked it. Lot of fussy eaters in out party including vegiterians but all got and enjoyed what we ordered just the way we asked for it. Definitely recommend this resteraunt. 👌🏽

Probably the best curry I've ever had but we booked the table for 1930 and food was on the table by about 2050... This wasn't a huge deal as there was a great atmosphere and there were plenty of drinks. The waiter went the extra mile to make sure we ordered food that was right for us, I ordered one dish and he described it to me properly and recommended a better dish for me which was amazing. Overall a great night, but not good to grab a quick bite!!

Great food and staff, you are certain to have an authentic indian cuisine here! The food is great, we had several dishes and all were brilliant. Superb Indian restaurant!!! The range of food was superb, and one of the most varied I've seen for an Indian restaurant. There was so much choice, and so many meals I'd never previously heard of! All meals that were consumed were well presented, cooked to a high standard.......and tasted excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and attentative. It was great value too. Theyve made great alterations too, ro cater for the covid restrictions. Overall, a really great experience. There's several Indian restaurants in the area and I would certainly recommend you give this one a try.

I visit every couple if works either for take away or to use the restaurant. We Visited with children and friends on a Saturday night. Staff were great as was the food. Got to take left overs home. Great value. Love coming here with the family , so much choice. Even though it was busy the seating is not too over crowded, so you dont hear everyone's conversation and it is not too noisy. I always have a very relaxing and pleasant evening when I visit .
