I visited the Waterbridge for their new Saturday evening bistro menu, which has only been on offer for 3 weeks at time of writing. Overall I'd rate this pretty well but I can't quite give it 5 stars. The menu isn't huge and they don't currently offer starters, though this may change. The food they do offer is very well prepared, attractively presented and reasonably priced. The staff were all very attentive, warm and friendly and I couldn't fault the staff. The only downside for me was that I was uncomfortably cold for the entire meal because both the front door and back door were open, creating a through-draft for the entire time. Even though they did shut the back door to upon my request there was still a breeze. It was unfortunate because this detracted from the otherwise excellent experience but was unavoidable because there is an outdoor seating area and the door cannot be fully closed. This shouldn't put you off visiting though.

We’ve just had afternoon tea at The Waterbridge for my Mother’s 75th birthday. It’s no longer an open to the public cafe, but an on request venue. As long as you have more than 10 people Annette will open for you and not just for afternoon tea. We had a party of 12. There were no other parties taking place at the same time as us so it was perfect, especially thinking about taking precautions for Covid. Annette was happy to be flexible on the sandwich fillings and even the drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate for us. She asked for 50% payment upfront and explained that extra drinks could be bought on the day but as they don’t have a card machine, these would have to be paid for by cash. The food was really nice, everyone enjoyed it and was full. Annette was happy for us to bring any uneaten food away with us. The front half of The Waterbridge has a pretty, vintage feel to it. The back half of the venue is more industrial looking. We had a pretty table in the pretty front section. I would recommend The Waterbridge as a venue for an event. Annette was accommodating and helpful and really friendly on the day. The venue is lovely and the food was great. Thank you Annette

Amazing food, amazing menu and the owner is so lovely. She puts her heart into this place and it shows. Such a warm welcoming place. Would recommend this place to anyone

I met my two daughters here for brunch on Easter Saturday morning. We had booked and that had been easy to do.The place has been very nicely done and the staff were friendly. Between us we had small breakfasts (which were a good size), Eggs Benedict and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. All the food was very good as was the coffee. Because it was busy we did have a 35 min wait for food. We would definitely go again.

Love the decorations and how the owner Annette keeps changing the decor and makes it look lovely everytime. Annette is so lovely when it comes to offering service. My husband and my son, we love going there for morning breakfasts and hot drinks.

Great breakfast. The 3 egg omelette was a good portion accompanied with a side salad, my wife's poached eggs were done to perfection. Highly recommend this place!! Oh and it's very reasonably priced!! They only accept cash payments but there is a free cash machine just across the road inside the co-op

I went as part of a hen do on a Sunday and had the place to ourselves which was nice!The staff were friendly and helpful and made sure to double check allergens for me. The afternoon tea was delicious with plenty of food for us all to enjoy. The place it self is decorated beautifully and the small outdoor area is a nice touch. Only minor downside is there is only a handful of car parking spaces out front but plenty in the surrounding areas. I would still highly recommend!

My husband and I visited here for the Valentines evening 3 course menu. We both had Brushetta, Butterfly Chicken in Marsala sauce and a heavenly melt in the mouth three layer shortcake with fresh strawberries, Chantilly cream and coulis. The service was outstanding! The atmosphere was very romantic with table cloths and red roses for the lady. Fantastic food and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. This is our third visit and the previous visits were equally enjoyable. Well done to The Waterbridge and their friendly team of staff.

Went for breakfast here with my family. Lovely inside and out. Food great. Staff very polite and prompt. We had eggs royale, eggs Benedict and American pancakes with chocolate ganache, strawberries and clotted cream. Pots of tea very generous. Prices reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again.

At last a sunny day and my wife and l can venture to the Waterbridge. Unfortunately chef was off for the day but that did not detract from a very nice light lunch. Chilli had a nice kick to it and there was plenty. Very friendly staff and the coffee very morish. Yes I had two!! Well worth a visit. Will defo be back

Food is delicious, it's a shame we could only order off the lites menu though as it was a Tuesday which is the chef's day off. Service excellent, and a lovely place to eat.

my 3rd visit, had somethig different from the menu each time and the food is top notch, 5*dining,5* service, only bottled or canned beers (but thats not a problem) , great selection and cheaper than any pub or restaurant I've been in. Lovely rustic surroundings, an absolute must for anybody that wants a totally chilled night out with fantastic food, give it a whirl, u wont b disappointed

Excellent food and customer service but the only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating is because the beer and lager wasn't chilled that's a shame , don't like warm beer.
