Can’t wait to come back. The food was absolutely delicious, the best we’ve had in a while. The crispy duck bau buns were amazing. Service was great, they all had something to recommend which is always helpful and they were all very attentive. Cocktails were fab and the service at the bar was very quick. 10 out of 10 :-)

Lincoln needs this! The food I'd exceptional!! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many options, I loved the service here the manager was very friendly and took the time to have a chat with us. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you love sushi.

I'd give more stars if I could. I was blown away by the food! I have never tried anything like this before so I was a little apprehensive but I didn't need to be. We chose a selection of dishes and the flavours and tastes were absolutely phenomenol. The cocktails too were fantastic. We are not local but if we are ever here again I will definitely return. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Fabulous place.

We were impressed in our first visit. The decoration and atmosphere are unbeatable. They have lots of vegan options, which surprised me as Japanese restaurant don't have many options normally. We ordered the okonomiyaki, vegan bao, vegan gyozas, vegan Yakisoba noodles and vegan uramaki. Everything was very tasty and delitious. We will not order again the okonomiyaki since it was missing an extra punch of flavour, in our opinion. The bill was a little bit high, but still worth the experience. The staff was very nice with us and the restaurant was very clean as well. We will visit the again in the near future.

Went there with my wife and grandson yesterday as we love good sushi so we thought we would give Cognito a try. First impression on entering is that they have really given some thought to the interior very modern and stylish. The sushi not only looked good the attention to detail in appearance was authentic and the taste was delicious. The vegetable tempura was also excellent and the service was first class.

Lovely place. Views from the rooftop weren't exactly to die for, but the food was. It's not cheap, but worth every penny and the portions were surprisingly generous! The service was attentive but not intrusive. I'd happily return, and would highly recommend.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is really friendly. Special thanks to our waiter (we forgot to ask for his name though), who was so nice & answered all our questions about japenese dishes! You can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, with a lovely presentation & good portions! We tried the beef baos (a must try!!) & the tuna sushis and we will definitely return there soon! The drinks menu is also pretty complete & i regret not trying one of their signature cocktails! I'll definitely do next time! I really hope they'll have the success they deserve & that they won't stay "inCognito" in Lincoln!! :) Fingers crossed! ;)

Amazing venue, food is fresh and this place is great! Atmosphere is really relaxing and the staff are really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Some of the best drinks I’ve ever drank/seen and for their prices it’s 100% worth it if your looking for something different / special.

Went to Incognito with my family to celebrate my wife's Birthday. The food was delicious but very overpriced, which soured the experience for me. It's a shame because the staff were very attentive. I would recommend you try it as the food really is delicious, just make sure you have plenty of money in your bank acct.

I saw the board on the street and decided to pop into Incognito with my wife for a drink. The cocktails were lovely so we ended up staying for a couple, and it's a nice rooftop location to top it off. We will be back to hopefully try the food as it looked and smelled amazing going past!

I've visited Incognito a couple of times now and it may have become my new favourite place in Lincoln! Yummy food, tasty drinks, wonderful service, and a stunning rooftop location to top it all off! I can't wait for my next visit!

An excellent place to meet and eat. This place is run by two lovely sisters full of enthusiasm and friendliness. The food was excellent and a very interesting menu. We will be back to try other fare on the menu.

Just some of the pictures of the lovely food at Cognito, it was so good I couldn't wait to photograph it all before eating! I've never had sushi before but after eating here I can safely say I LOVE it! We also had bao buns which were already a firm favourite and I couldn't fault them. The ramen was very authentic, the broth was full of flavour, filling and comforting - you get the impression they know what ramen should be. Aside from the food, the staff are amazing, very welcoming and full of excellent recommendations if you're a little unsure, the drinks selection is vast and there is something for everyone, we had a bottle of Sake and it was delicious, served the traditional Japanese way in the proper cups it truly was a great experience eating Japanese food.

Wow what a breath of fresh air this is, just what Lincoln needs. Had an afternoon drink in the rooftop bar and then later on went back and had a drink in the bar. Food looked delicious too - please try this place. Beautifully decorated too

The food was really delicious and well priced. Our server Paul Rawlinson was very accommodating and even suggested drinks to our taste. The atmosphere is also very nice, feels exclusive and lively.

Visited with my partner for an absolutely incredible meal. The server was lovely and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered suggestions for both food and drink. Everything tasted amazing and the vibe was wonderful so we will 100% be back!

Excellent food and service from very friendly staff. Great combination of traditional and modern style Japanese food. We had a variety of dishes and couldn't fault any of them. We were there for lunch, despite this being more of an evening venue and the staff, both serving and kitchen based, were on excellent form. Well worth the visit and we will definitely be going again.

Cognito only recently opened for business. In summary.... If you're looking for somewhere to relax and snack/eat some Asian fusion "tapas" plates in Lincoln with a drink, then this is the place to go. Nice music and great selection of cocktails. Staff were polite and attentive. We're definitely going back.

**UPDATED** Visit 1: I give it 10 stars, never mind 5. Honestly a huge credit and blessing to the city of Lincoln and its neighbouring communities. Such a splendid experience. top notch in every way. This business is of a truly exemplary standard. The food was scrumptious, good variety on menu, fairly priced. My dessert of treacle toffee pudding (which comes with ice cream to make it even better value for money), was fantastic, moist, and delicious too and would recommend. Highly vouch for the full English, and very accommodating too if there are items you do not like for example. Succulent smoky bacon and amazing sausage and hash browns too. You even get proper butter with the toast, that is definitely a winner! Very welcoming both staff and atmosphere. Very supportive, as someone that is visually impaired very willing to help. The playlist is mint and cool too and very varied, with a chill feel to it too, including some more cultural/instrumental tunes. Something for everyone in all regards. The staff are a great team and very efficient attentive and chatty as well as polite and respectful. The owners, Ellie and Zara, are a gem and such lovely, bubbly, caring people too, such a ray of sunshine. This place, and the staff will truly bring a lot of joy and happiness to all that visit. Can't wait to visit again. Magnificent is an understatement. Big shout out too to Paul and Jess for their great customer service. Visit 2 - 30 august - All above definitely still applies. Great service by Megan, Maria and team. roves that literally all the staff here are amazing. Had different options today. Fries are nice, tasty and have a good crispiness to them too, so definitely not soggy. The lemon posset is scrumptious. Very impressive, as you would expect a tiny bit tarty btu definitely still sweet and very smooth, silky texture, almost creamy in fact!!! The mirangue was perfect light and soft/crumbly in your mouth as it is meant to be. Overall this place is close to faultless in my opinion, and I really hope this continues to be a roaring success, here is to countless more visits. I expect this place will win numerous awards in the future.

Only drank in here on a few occasions, good selection of cocktails and you don't have to stick to the menu if you know what you're after. Good attentive staff, not the cheapest but a great place for a civilized evening if that's your thing.
