We tried the breakfast menu for the first time & our experience was actually really good. The restaurant was reasonably quiet. Our server was polite, happy & helpful. From ordering to arrival our food came pretty quickly & was well presented. Everything was perfectly cooked & tasted great!

Overpriced for bbq in my opinion. Between us we had pork loin, bbq ribs, twice baked potato, truffle fries, squid rings, crispy prawns. Food was tasty so we enjoyed our meal but was not amazing for that price. Having lived in USA for over a decade, maybe my points of reference are different so the ribs were the let down really; they were cooked very well, nice and tender but Sweet Baby Rays sauce would be way better than whatever is on these.

Delicious food! Haven't beennin years so thought I'd give it a try, so tasty. Got a phone call as I was eating, had to go pick my poorly son up from school, staff were brill, got me the bill and bagged up the food I hadn't managed to eat yet!

A really nice place to eat. The building is round and they have a bar area in the middle of the building, separating two restaurants, so while you are waiting for your table to be ready, you can just have a drink. They have a good selection of dishes and everything was amazing.

First time I've actually been here. Came in with a couple of friends . We all enjoyed our time here, from the friendly staff, selections of foods and drinks were good. Toilet facilities were actually really good, although the mirrored toilet area let's you see yourself from every angle possible. Got quite busy by time we left so it's obviously a good choice for lots of other people also. Wasn't expensive, and we all enjoyed out time in the premises.

Absolutely brilliant food and great service to go with it , Steph served us all night and made us feel welcomed in a busy atmosphere. The food was exactly how we wanted it cooked , and was overall delicious 😋 we had a variety of steak , scampi , prawns pork and their famous ribs between two of us and tried a little of everything so can say with confidence it's all worth trying.

Service was brilliant, and there was. Very brief wait from arriving to sitting at the table. The server was very helpful with my food intolerance (dairy) as the menu was very basic in terms of identifying allergens. There were no clear vegaterian or vegan options. The food we ordered was good. My partner's steak was cooked well and my ribs were well cooked, but there was a discrepancy between the amount of chat between mine and another table's order. There is a very limited number of side options, no salad or sweet corn options and it isn't always clear what comes as an automatic additions the the meal. E.g. the king prawn dish. Unfortunately, it want made clear on the menu that the signature dish, onion loaf, contained food allergy products.

Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the greeter, who said that she only had 3 servers and if we waited she would get to us in 10 or so minutes! Small point, but first impressions count, especially on our first visit. Our server was very nice, efficient and helpful, though. Food delicious and well presented. Will go again.

Visited with family on Saturday 29th October 2022 3 of us had been before so we knew what to expect, fourth party first time visit and he said best meal ever. We all had different meals and we can honestly say it was exceptional. Service also was very good and we could not fault our Waitress. Lovely lunch time had by all. Thank You

We was a group of 22 people for lunch. We had most wonderful service. Waitering staff, on the ball, took orders, then amazingly food came out, almost all together. We used to really like Damon's but haven't been for a few years & don't feel it's as good as it used to be. Booked a table for 4.15pm so arrived just after 4pm to grab a drink first. There were quite a few empty tables but they didn't seem to be in a rush to fill them & we weren't actually seated until 4.50pm. They ran out of one of our starters so we had to change & then got one of the meals wrong so we had to wait for it to be corrected. The onion loaf was a bit soggy, greasy & severely under seasoned whereas they used to be light, crispy & tasty. The meats on the main meals were beautifully cooked but quite salty. We opted for plain baked potatoes but they had been salted on the skins so there was no escaping the over seasoning - shame we didn't have the starter & main together so they balanced each other out. There was a distinct lack of anything green, apart from a lukewarm ramekin of peas & a salad with my meat & potatoes would have been perfect. Couldn't face one of the heavy desserts on offer so left to buy a litre of water on the way home to combat the salt dehydration. Wish we'd popped down the road to Brewer's Fayre for half the price.

Went for breakfast for my daughter's birthday, good service and good food. I had the deluxe breakfast. Good thick bacon, nice sausages, fried eggs, plum tomatoes, beans and fried Herby potatoes and a round of toast. Cranberry juice and filter coffee included for £12.75. Possibly a little on the pricy side but the venue and service make it worth it. Lots of breakfast choices too if you're not fancying the traditional English breakfast.

Great venue with American diner vibes. Not what you'd expect to find I'm the location. Lovely variety in the menu, food is very tasty and on the expensive side of affordable if that makes sense. Worth it though. Friendly staff makes it worthwhile visiting with your family.

Used to have a Damons close to home but it closed down so it's been a while. Its about an hour to the Lincoln one but it was worth every mile! The food was exactly the same, hot and delicious. Succulent ribs and crispy onion loaf. Its not cheap, but it never has been. Literally the best birthday I've had for years. Only complaint is that they charged me for my dessert when i was told it was free and at 7.95 for a slither of key lime pie it was absolutely overpriced! Can't wait for the next visit, will just avoid the dessert

Breakfast is amazing. French toast with potato's and eggs were just amazing. Iced coffee was nice, and could order a carraffe of orange juice to share. Only downside was some of the tables and chairs were stuck to the floor and were quite tight. Could benefit from more room.

Damon's Restaurant specialises in pork ribs, although you can buy other dishes including steak, lobster etc. However the main reason for coming should be the ribs. The ribs are the best i have ever had and are tender tasty. Also there is something very special about their coleslaw which i really suggest that you try too

We went out as a family of 4 adults and 1 teenager. Service OK. Food on the pricey side for what it is but are large portions and the ribs and tenders are tasty. Drinks are too expensive - particularly the soft drinks such as Pepsi etc. Would be far better value if they offered free refills of soft drinks.

Went for the nostalgia really and pretty poor value if I'm honest. Menu says seasoned fries but they're clearly chips with salt on, nothing like the menu picture. Chicken tenders are probably better at McDonald's 😏

We had the Ribs but no finger wipes provided. We miss the warm bread especially the brown in early days. Only 2 Chicken tenders instead of 4. Staff were not fully conversant with the over 60's discount which made us feel uncomfortable when we requested it and even then it had to be corrected, awkward.

Staff are very friendly and well dressed. As soon as you walk in your greeted by a gentleman who shows you to the booking desk . Once your table is ready they call your name (it reminds me of the old Argos collection point lol) Upon ordering your food you get coleslaw delivered to your table before any food has arrived which is abit strange . Food came quick and was tasty but you don’t get much value for money .

After having booked, we still waited 3 quarters of an hour for our table, despite dozens of staff milling around, our drinks sat in the bar counter for 20 minutes, meal was okay but nothing to write home about. It was my birthday and because I didn't have official proof, Facebook isn't good enough lol, I wasn't allowed the free meal, which might have made up for waiting and having to remind the waitress exactly what we ordered several times, entailing back and forth to the kitchen to fetch elements of our meal which were meant to come together. Don't think we would go again to be honest. Definitely don't go if you are following a keto diet, no salad substitute at all, chips, bread, more potato or rice.

Would have been a 5 Star all the way. But, due to the removal of fresh bread and butter before your food as an appetiser. I have had to say it has spoilt my visit. It is all part of the Damons experience and something we look forward to. There were 12 people in our group, and all of us were disappointed. Come on, Damons! Bring back the warm bread!

I love the damons brand and was really disappointed when the Sheffield location closed. I was even more disappointed to find the Lincoln location was half damons and half a completely different restaurant. I have been visiting both since i was a teenager and as of writing this im now 37, so I've been visiting for over 20+ years. my family and I would go many times throughout the years just for a nice meal or to celebrate a birthday. If damons was to ever dissappear completely it would be like losing part of the family. The food and service at the lincoln location is fantastic and I cannot recommend it enough. You won't find buffalo wings or bbq ribs the same or as good quality anywhere else in the country. Many have come close but just can't quite get there. Damons is suitable for all ages and caters for many tastes, they also have a decent range of drinks and the cocktail menu is superb (I recommend the baileys alaska), the parking is free for i believe up to three hours. As a bonus if it just so happens to be your birthday when you visit and you take proof, your meal is free. If you feel my review has helped you in any way please leave a like. Many thanks Will

This place is very different to any restaurant not in the sense of food but the vibe, atmosphere and staff. In a weird but good way - I think🤔 We parked up and saw a man in a suit kicking a can away from the entrance area so it was off the premises. He looked almost like secret service staff with sunglasses 😎 on. He was very helpful and welcomed us and opened the door for us. We never saw him again on our exit, so who was he? We will never know. Staff were super friendly, it felt like an Italian mob run establishment in the USA which was very different but the USA theme was working. It was a very popular venue and became busy quite quickly. However there was more than enough staff. There were a male staff member whom seemed to belittle some female staff and was constantly following what appeared to be the manager around. This is one of reasons I deducted a star because It was just plain wrong. There is a good team of staff or appears to be and a good team needs everyone to work together not one person feeling superior because he is male. The lady whom served us was really nice, we ordered from the early diner menu (2 courses £15). Downfall was no drinks price lists (only a price list for cocktails). If you have a family the ability to check prices is a must I would say. The food was very fresh. My son had the chicken tenders I expected to see 3 x chicken dippers hut I was wrong, they were fresh from proper chicken breast. The small side salad I had was probably the freshest salad I had been served for many years. On way out we saw the hotel room rates (from £47 night) and you get 20% off food if you stay at the hotel, so may stay when visiting our daughter in Lincoln. We would and will return.

Typical Motel America diner, where the dining experience was a mix of friendly and attentive service and American sized portions under the glitz and glamour of Marilyn. Dinner whilst seems value for money portion size was a bit of a let down. The lobster in the surf n turf was as chewy as gum amongst a perfectly cooked steak. Breakfast made a great start to the day and surprisingly not greasy.

Only had the breakfast. 3 times. Each morning we stayed in their hotel. Twice I had there largest breakfast which is OK. For me the thing that spoils it is the potatoes they serve with it. WAY WAY too much salt, I was told that this is the recipe. When it is known too much salt is bad for you I think this is not good. And it totally ruins the flavour. When visiting the USA and have had breakfast with the herd potatoes they are never salty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Big plus is free refill of coffee. Just shows it can be done and not just in the USA

Amazing dinner last night, service was impeccable by chloe, it was my birthday so got a free main. Have to say this could be our new favourite restaurant, stayed in the hotel across from the restaurant which is also Damon's, breakfast this morning was incredible, William the very friendly and welcoming service master was bang on. Every time I come here I'm never disappointed by the food and the service. The food is always lovely and we were surprised at how quickly we got it considering it was busy when we went. The atmosphere here is really nice, I love all the decor and layout. Your staff are always so lovely and helpful.

The one in Sheffield closed down and we had no idea a Damons was still open until my girlfriend found this one. It's basically an exact replica building wise but the food is a lot better than the one in Sheffield used to be. Huge choice of items on the food menu along with a good selection of cocktails. You come to Damons for the free bread and stay for the ribs. One of my favourite places to eat. On the pricier side but that's to be expected with a steakhouse. When we visited the staff were friendly although seemed a little rushed off their feet with how busy it was. Our server was lovely but she didn't come back to us until we were finished so we didn't order anymore drinks like we wanted. As I say the staff seemed very busy so it wasn't a massive deal.

Really want to leave a better review but can't go further than 3 because of the food. Only had one veggie option and it was pretty dire - a vegetable burger like something from the 90s (might've been in the freezer that long tbh). Even the waiter got nervous as I ordered it lol then said "did you not like it" when he saw I only had a couple bites.. All they need to do is add a Quorn burger or something onto the menu - just need to stick it in the oven 15 mins and I'd be happy. Otherwise, the bread was great, the cocktails were fantastic and service was excellent.

The food is always very nice and tasty, but the price no longer makes the meal difficult to justify these days... How can a regular onion loaf (now classed as a regular sized loaf) cost £8, that's £8 for one large onion cooked in batter. The plate sizes have also been reduced to make the slightly smaller portions look larger. Service is good though.

This place has been a go to for me over the years. Prices though have shot up and you can see the lowering of standards in the food is starting to happen. It's the little things such as the quality of the bread and chips is lower, you used to get a nice malted bread now you get part baked white baton. Service as always was excellent. Please tip your server they deserve it! A full rack of ribs will fill you up and are never dry or tough. The prawns are good but can be a bit salty for our tastes. Drink prices are high £7+ for a 200ml prosecco 3.25 for a small pepsi but cocktails are reasonable expecially at happy hour.

The restaurant, food and waiting staff were amazing during our visit on Friday. However the host was very abrupt when my wife asked if she could use the toilet when we arrived, the host stating that we had only come in to use the toilet. This was not the case at all we had travelled specifically to go to the restaurant as we used to go to damons for special occasions in Sheffield, which has since closed. We had just gotten married the week before and wanted to top off our week with a visit to damons. This host deffinatly put a dampener on the visit.

I have to say, I have been in the hospitality industry for years and always judge service first. Kelly our waitress was exceptional (whilst also training a new team member which isn't easy) she was very attenative, polite, professional and nothing was too much trouble for the two of them. She should get some sort of recognition for her service and knowledge of the drinks menu as well as the food menu. I would employ her as a head waitress anytime. The desserts were great but having the Baileys Alaska as an alternative was amazing. I'm not from the area and really enjoyed whole experience. The doorman also made a great impact. Thank you

Table booked for 7.30, they were hoovering & preparing to close around us from 8pm onwards. Although food was ok- was very expensive and served on plastic/melamine plates. Great food great staff . And a freebie for my birthday. What more can you ask!

TLDR; Fab food, fab service, though you need to take out a loan. Our second jaunt to this beloved eatery since the Sheffield restaurant evaporated. Located just off a roundabout, there is plenty of parking and a petrol station so you can fill up your car too! The venue is a bit of an oddball, housing two restaurants in separate half's of the circle. Damon's restaurant always seems to cater to more patrons, maybe the other side is closed? Who knows. Oh, don't forget to log your registration on the terminal on the right as you enter, else the ANPR will capture your reg and send you a bill. The staff were very accommodating and helped us find a table within a few minutes. We had booked... but we were late. Shortly after being seated, delicious warm bread was brought to our table and a few minutes later our order was taken by a polite member of the team (love it when they read the whole thing back to you!). Food arrived in good time and was hot and delicious. Our server would have asked how the food was, if we had not already cleared the plates. After our feast we were unable to entertain desert, though I'm sure they too would have been a treat! The only downer to an afternoon nibble like this is the bill, £80 for 4 lunchtime combos and a drink or two. The food is fab and is certainly worthy of a price tag to suit, though you always leave feeling that the experience should have delivered more. More what? I can't tell you. Oh, if you go here it is compulsory to have the ribs; so says I.

Restaurant has great decor. We popped in for afternoon drink to be served by the bar man who was fantastic:) (long blonde haired man) went back for dinner...lady on reception was brilliant:) Food was great although a little pricy, service was very slow and we were left constantly waiting to order food, desert and drinks.when we managed to ask for the bill it took forever to get to pay. Maybe going at a quieter time would be best.

Went for breakfast. The service was good but the food wasn't great. The breakfast came with the usual - sausage (a bit chewy), bacon, eggs, beans and tomatoes and some potatoes which were soggy and tasted like they had been covered in raw vegetable stock cubes, they were so salty! I don't know if this is normal for Damon's as I haven't really had breakfast there before.

Always a great experience. Love this place! Love the food, love the cocktails. Love the comfort and cleanliness. Love the music and atmosphere. Love the free coffee, free bread and the excellent service. Do not love how they keep increasing the prices of everything to the point that we can't go anywhere near as often as we used to. It's almost becoming beyond reach now as they are charging top dollar for food and cocktails are a definite no altogether unless it's happy hour!! We used to go here every week without fail but the price hikes make it a once every couple of months experience nowadays.

Just not as good. Nothing terrible, but recipe for ribs has changed. Cocktails had no cherries or umbrellas or other garnishes. Portion size also reduced. We have been coming for 20 years from a good distance away, for mist special occasions, this recent visit made it feel not worth the cost and drive.

I know Damon’s is sacred to many - hosting birthdays for as long as most can remember. In truth though...is it that great? I would argue not. The inside of the venue lacks any sort of feeling that you've come somewhere special - an obnoxious sounding tannoy blares out the speaker when you're table is ready; the pictures hanging on the walls looks like they're from closed down Franky and Benny's restaurants. The inclusion of a hotel and a sushi bar mean that the restaurant's identity is even more confusing. Menu wise - it looks like most of the menu is repeated on each side just to fill the space; vegetarians and vegans will not find anything special to cater they're needs (nomeat substitutes)and the meat dishes by today's standards are pretty ordinary. Having said the all of the above...there are still some reasons to come here - the price is alright; they can take large groups; parking is easy; if you're staying in the hotel it makes sense. Damon's, you need a revamp.

Damons is an institution! We have been going for more years than I care to mention despite the 40 mile journey each way. On special occasions we stay over and enjoy the amazing breakfast. Convenient for a day out in Lincoln which is a lovely city. If I have one criticism it is that the fries do not do the rest of the food justice - choose one of the other potato options for the best experience.

Visited Lincoln because the Sheffield restaurant has closed and what a difference. Everything about this meal was far superior to what we used to get at Sheffield. The food was fresher, hotter and looked more appealing. The portions were bigger. Damons staff are always good but our server last night was particularly efficient helpful and friendly at the same time. We felt welcome from making the booking to leaving at the end of the night. Would we go again? You bet we would. We have already decided when our next visit will be.

Best ribs in the world, bar none. And believe me I have traveled far and wide for ribs. Beautifully lean and trimmed, get the BBQ sauce on them. American themed restaurant that always hits the mark. Never have had room for dessert in 25 years of visiting! I believe it's still the case that you eat for free if it's your birthday, but you'll need to take your passport/proof A top notch diner, I regularly travel well out of my way for these ribs!

However we did feel that whilst portions were good, the price was far to high. Also I'm not quite sure why you need door staff at a restaurant. Didn't bother us, but it's a bit odd. Would we return? Damon's is both a great quiet hangout spot for some fancy cocktails or drinks at the small bar area, sushi / teppenyaki restaurant ala Ethans (which is criminally underrated) and American diner. Due to being near a few chain hotels in the area and at the very edge of Lincoln (though it's relatively easy to get to in the car or public transport), it's a great place to eat with colleagues or friends and Damons tends to be pretty quiet, unless you are eating at typical restaurant prime-times. They have some good offers on generous set menu deals for most of their main menu items for earlier diners and various other offers going throughout the week - such as 2 for 1 cocktails, Happy Hour, etc. Birthday meals booked here are free for the birthday recipient and they even supply you with a small hand-finished cake after. Whilst I'd say Damon's isn't perfect and the decor is looking a little tired, if you are after a 'mid-range' dining experience that won't break the bank and an enjoyable atmosphere (a tip is if you book, to make sure to book a booth!) Damons is a great choice. You have to absolutely try their BBQ ribs - I've never had ribs any better than at Damons! Whilst Ethan's is technically a different restaurant in the same building, the ambience and experience is totally different there (in a good way) and is deserving of looking at it's own reviews - but with trained teppenyaki / sushi chefs giving a live group-dining experience for very reasonable prices, whilst the menu is quite a bit smaller than Damon's, it is an authentic one and Lincoln is really missing out on authentic Japanese quisine. You can even order takeaway sushi too. :)

Food ok with fairly generous portions but steaks well overcooked for two of our party that were ordered rare and medium rare. This was pointed out but we agreed not to exchange as we had already waited long enough and this would further disrupt our dining. The waitress appeared attentive and very pleasant. Worth a visit but I'm neutral about rushing back, especially at a peak time.

Cannot fault the food or service, however the social distancing leaves alot to be desired. I felt sorry for the staff because of how busy it was. The service was good, but if you are at all anxious about covid I wouldn't go. Too many people inside and you have to walk right next to people to get in and out. Luckily we were in and out in less than an hour. Also they have put the prices up. We went on a Wednesday when they had 25% off food, i feel without an offer being on its not worth £20 for a main meal. And no free cake/pudding for the birthday person 😭. Tempura prawns were amazing though!

Improved significantly on 4/5 years ago. Back then it was plastic plates, no steak knives and frozen oven chips. Now it's lovely skin on skinny fries, steak knives all round and proper crockery!! Excellent friendly service with a smile. Quality food with big servings with all the extras thrown in. The only negative was we were a tad cramped, but that was fairly unavoidable, and we chose not to mention it at the time, so not fair to knock off stars.

We went to Ethan's within Damon's restaurant. It was fantastic, a really good experience. The food was tasty and it was fascinating watching the chef cook the food in front of you. It kept our kids entertained whilst we ate, which was a bonus! As the food was freshly cooked, it wasn't all served up at the same time, which is something of which to be aware/prepared. The noodles and rice are served up at the same time but the meat and fish is cooked individually and served up one at a time. Still a great meal though.

A work colleague told me about your 'new' drive thru service you are offering... It couldn't be simpler, we pulled up at the front door and our food was literally being brought out. We have eaten at Damons many times over the years. The menu has changed recently and is harder to follow. You can order a half rack for £9 something on one part of the menu and £12 something for the same half rack in another part of the menu. Apparently it is all tied in to make sure you pay full price for some main courses if there are children with you who can then get a free meal. It was my eldest son's birthday so he got a main course and dessert free. The service was good and the food delicious as always. Their barbecue sauce is second to none and the ribs are to die for. They coped with us having 4 children under 2 years of age and the meal was very enjoyable. We managed to get 2 children's meals free as in our party we managed to order 2 main courses at full price. The cost for 9 of us eating including drinks and 3 desserts was £124 which was OK.

Damon's is good for a few times and then becomes a bit same old. In its day, it was the place to go, but definitely needs to reinvent itself and bring food up to modern day standards. Famous for their ribs, I have to agree they were fall-off-the-bone delicious. The service is friendly and pretty quick once you're seated, although that always seems to take a while. 20 minutes after the booking time in our case on what was a pretty quiet evening. The menu has a great range of grill type offerings, the cheese cake dessert was sublime, but I'm taking off a star for the price. The food and the drinks are very steep, and we were overcharged for add ons (which they did correct after we pointed it out, check your bill). Good job I ate free as it was my birthday!! Well worth going on that day but don't forget to bring your ID.

Damons is an authentic American style restaurant with dishes such as pizza, pasta, burgers and barbecued chicken. They have a useful feature in that if any member of the group is celebrating their birthday within 3 days either side then they dine for free. Aside from that the food is quite reasonably priced. The service is normally a bit slow but it doesn't detract from the experience.

At times service can be very slow but the food is worth the wait. Onion loaf and chicken tenders are the best. On one occasion we asked for the bill about 5 times over the course of an hour before it came.

Although a few miles from the centre of Lincoln, it's only a few quid in a taxi, and the cost of staying and eating at Damon's works out considerably less than staying in the city centre, and that includes the cost of the taxi. Will definitely recommend Damon's and will go again.

Had a table for 6 people for dinner. Had to wait 25 minutes for our reserved table. Meal portions were good size, shame they are served on plastic plates, wouldn't mind too much but with the tables being plastic I found my plate was shooting around the table as I was trying to cut my food. Normally the food is better than the service sadly not on this occasion. Went for breakfast, sat down ok first issue dirty coffee mug, second table had not been prepared had to wander 3 tables done for a sachet of red sauce. Ordered breakfast, the potatoes were sodden in grease and lacked anyform of taste. Heavily seasoned, egg was tasteless sausges looked liked small fingers. Baked beans had somehow managed to get burnt. 20 minutes later and 8 staff later plates still haven't been cleared and i am waiting on my side of toast from breakfast, may still come yet however i plan on spending the rest of my day living life x This place has slowly gone downhill not to say it isn't nice but breakfast is no longer than way forward here sadly.

Went for breakfast when my car was having its MOT. It was horrible not one thing in particular but in general, it was warmish, the sausages were grisly and greasy and the eggs were over cooked and rubbery. The staff were mostly pleasant but you could tell it was forced. The filter coffee was nice.

Fantastic Restaurant! Great service and a wide range of food to choose from as well as providing a delivery service if you want to take out. Large spacious restaurant with plenty of room. Accommodates large groups if you have a big party with you. Also welcomes kids and even provides a kids menu. Hotel on site if you are visiting the area. (Ribs at Damon’s are to die for, honestly the best ribs I’ve Had anywhere)

My extended family from this area have always teased me with a visit here, as it's somewhere they used to frequent. Now despite numerous visits to the area over the years, we've never arranged to go for a meal there. So this was my 1st time, and I can say I did enjoy the meal and would definitely go again. There wasn't a complaint regarding the food from any of the party, there was an incorrect drink included in our order, but this was quickly rectified. I can definitely recommend the ribs if you're intending on dining here. The venue has a real, ratpack vibe. Harking back to some of those classic gangster movies, with the walls decorated with pictures of performers from the same era. Should I visit again and have the same experience I'll likely update my review with an extra star.

A long established and great restaurant offering the American classics, including their renowned ribs, chicken wings and burgers. I wouldn't call the menu cheap but with a little hindsight and prior planning, there are plenty of offers available throughout the day including the lunchtime special (12pm -3pm) and the early diner special (3pm - 6pm), where you can get a very worthwhile discount - so make sure you check their website for the availability of their offers. Personally, I always go for the pork loin and rib combo (main) and the chicken wings for starters. Also on site, you will find Damons Hotel, where generous discounts are available including reduced room rates and discounts on the food. I also have to recommend their breakfast when staying overnight - a little slice of America brought to your table. Attentive staff, great cocktails and even a champagne bar to suit all needs. If you haven't tried the restaurant, I would strongly recommend you do and if you;re going to do it properly, then book a night in the hotel as well.

Went for a breakfast. Decided on the standard full English with plain potatoes. I was offered a choice of how the eggs were cooked and the option of beans, mushrooms or tomato. Went for mushrooms. Everything was well cooked with a choice of brown or white toast and free coffee or tea top ups. Only gave 4 stars as the sausage was not a proper Lincolnshire variety. Other than that, really good value for money.

Not my first choice of eatery in Lincoln, but it's where our friends nine year old daughter wanted to go. The staff/service were great, as was the food. Also, it's right next to the bypass (A46) which, ironically! You'll need if you eat there a lot 💔.

I think Damon's survives on its reputation. I can remember going 20 years ago and being amazed, today though hmmm. Good points are great service. Still great ribs. If you wander off from the ribs prepare for disappointment. I had jumbo prawns and scampi. The scampi was generic frozen scampi (at their eye-watering prices this is a poor deal) the buffalo prawns were butterflied prawns in a buffalo sauce flavoured crispy coating and probably the worse thing I've had in my mouth since being duped in a bar in Thailand (google hasn't asked for that review?) Basically a meal for 3 of the quality they give (no starters or desserts 1 vodka and 2 soft drinks) shouldn't be coming to £85. I wouldn't expect those prices in London for better food!

When I said no, please leave them until we had all finished ( old fashioned manors) she said she wanted to clear the empty plates. I stopped her as j found this rude. Still not okay in my book.
