Absolutely incredible waffles in a lovely independent restaurant. Whether you are looking for truly amazing savoury waffles or a delicious sweet dessert waffle this is the place to go in Lincoln, they have such a great range of perfectly created dishes. They also have a wide range of drinks including beers and cocktails and cordials such as elderflower spritzers, perfect for a hot day watching people walk up and down the high street. A must go restaurant for Lincoln, be sure to get a seat outside or in the window for some top quality people watching!

Madame Waffle's wide selection of sweet and savoury meals have something for the majority. Alongside their coffee's & other drinks this is definitely a place to come to at least once! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The downstairs seating are my favourite as it's a unique experience. I will be coming back here again for a 3rd, 4th, 5th & many more times :).

We had a wonderful visit to Madame Waffle on Saturday for a little brunch date. The staff are so friendly and the café is beautifully decorated with quirky bits and pieces. I had this vegan breakfast and oh my goodness! I am so happy that Madame Waffle has expanded their vegan menu and has so many fantastic options available. The vegan breakfast was delicious, the sausages were good, you had a choice of grilled or chopped tomatoes and the mushrooms were seasoned really well. You can have a waffle or toast with your breakfast, but obviously I went for a waffle because it is a waffle shop! The sweetness of the waffle worked really well with the rest of the breakfast. I want to go back and try their other options but I’m not sure whether I would be tempted just to have this breakfast again because it was gorgeous.

We absolutely loved our visit here. Whilst the food was beautiful the staff were the best part of our visit who were friendly and took the time to talk to our 6 year old who was fascinated by the making of waffles - one member of staff took the time to ask the chef to come out and talk to him who did. We came here for brunch with the kids on a Saturday midmorning. The helpful staff found us a table for four inside no problem. We obviously ordered waffles and these were delicious. The kids enjoyed the sweet options, choosing from a pick and mix style kids menu. I had the Priscilla, a naughty little creation consisting of a beautifully light and fluffy frechly made waffle (none of that reheated rubbish you get in other places), peanut butter, sliced banana and maple bacon. I wasn't man enough for the Elvis which was the same but with TWO waffles. The bacon was especially tasty. My wife had poached egg with bacon and avocado. The drinks were also delicious. I had a very tasty caramel latte and my wife's tea was also made with proper leaves. So the food was incredible but for my youngest son (6) our visit wo Madame Waffle was a revelation. He told our waitress that he wanted his own waffle maker so he could enjoy waffles like this all the time. The waitress was fantastic with him and after bringing out the chef to talk to him about his ambition to make his own tasty waffles, they agreed that after he had gotten his own waffle make and perfected his waffle batter recipe that he could work there when he's 7 - as long as he gets his own chef's hat! Needless to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and the incredible service and would THOROUGHLY recommend Madame Waffle as an excellent place to take your family for a delicious waffle.

This was on our list of places to go on a little day trip in to Lincoln. Had seen it on Google maps and read the other reviews and it looked like our kind of place. Loved it! We got seated with only a few minutes wait. So much to choose from on the menu. The waffles were soft and definitely fresh with quality ingredients. The iced coffee we had was perfect. So tasty. Great little place and delicious waffles 👍🏼

Ordered a chemex coffee, it smelled and tasted amazing 💯. The fresh fruit waffle with a Greek yoghurt and honey was the best waffle I have ever had till date. It is a must try place to whoever goes and visits Lincoln.I myself want to visit again just for the waffle.😋❤

Very friendly staff and really good menu, the kids menu had a lot of variety and was a lot of fun for our 6 year old to compile his own waffle. The portion was huge, but he scoffed the lot. I’m excited to go back to try more of their fresh juices, I tried the orange. My cousin goes there a lot, so that means it must be a very good place. It looks small, but is really quite big.

Madam Waffle is a very special place, welcoming, friendly and a great selection of waffles and coffees. My own favourite waffle is smoky bacon and maple syrup - with a fried egg on top. Waffley good! Been 3 times now and love the breakfast waffles the best but this visit was for the kids. Maybe went a little overboard with the mini eggs. Only downside was they weren't cadburys so we're rejected by my daughter. They were okish though.

Definitely recommend delicious both in store and at home… **Edit August 2022** Still an excellent Coffee and Waffle House, possibly the best coffee in Lincoln. Highly recommend a visit for both the food and drink… It's worth coming here just for the coffee, however you should stay for the waffles. Popped in for lunch and enjoyed Chicken, avocado and added halloumi goodness on a freshly prepared waffle. Service is efficient and friendly with good prices. A treat near the end of week or any day with a y in it...

Very quaint place with a gorgeous menu, I have always loved savoury waffles. Which tasted My only disappointment was the brusque handling of my request for scrambled rather than poached egg, you may only have exactly what’s on the menu. Access: It’s town centre, pedestrian access. COVID: good precautions, well handled. And finally nothing to do with Madame waffle, but made me smile..... I was making breakfast for my kids and I tripped. I fell onto a hot iron. It was waffle

Somewhat disappointed when I went to Madame Waffles with my boys, it was recommended but struggled to live up to the hype in my eyes. We had a delay getting seated but nothing too bad, the staff were polite and attentive. We didn't have any hot drinks but from the extensive menu I would recommend it for a coffee /tea stop as it has loads of variety. The premise is well maintain and very clean but the gents are located at the top of a very steep stair case so be mindful of little ones going on there own. My only issue really was with the food, it tasted good but simply wasn't enough with all three of us leaving still hungry. Considering how cheap it is to make a waffle dish it's stand to have an adult dish the same size as a child's. My suggestion would be go somewhere else for your meal and come here for coffee and dessert.

I really enjoyed meeting the staff at this full spectrum coffee shop & cozy restaurant. Truly one of the best flat whites I've had in my travels. I was very pleased to find shakshuka on my breakfast menu along with a fresh fluffy waffle. The place appears small but they also have upstairs seating. There is limited handicapped accessible seating and there is no dedicated parking. In nicer whether, this would be an optimal spot to just sit out on High Street and relax.

I had such high hopes for visiting Madame Waffle, but felt slightly let down. My food was mediocre and so was the service. I immediately sensed something was wrong and then realised we showed up 15 minutes before closing on a Sunday. We felt unwelcome by our server, and honestly, that is a huge reason this restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps another time would be better, but it’s unlikely that I will return.

Bit pricey, but the food is incredible as are the portion sizes! A firm favourite, with a choice of savoury and sweet pancakes, but even just the base pancakes are to die for! I stumbled across this place after walking down the steep hill in Lincoln! I'm so glad I decided to go inside, it was warm and welcoming and the decor was quaint but stylish. I ordered plain waffles with syrup, my favourite, I wasn't disappointed, they were crunchy, then fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, washed down by a lovely latte. The service was excellent, we were given a complimentary bottle of water served in a vintage bottle and cute glasses...all added to the overall feel. Lovely place, well worth going back!

Very tasty breakfast, although I did find the combination of a sweet waffle with the savoury vegetarian breakfasts a little strange. However, there will be plenty out there that are used to, or prefer this combination. service is very quick and all the workers were extremely helpful.a big shout out to the chefs to accommodated for our dietary needs. The biggest surprise however, was the quality of the coffee. And their own red brick house blend rated phenomenal, perhaps they should consider packing and selling it! after my breakfast, I saw them satisfied and decided to go for the berries and cream sweets waffle. Tasted divine!

Madame Waffle is a cozy little place filling up every nook and cranny it can to squeeze in as many people as it can, yet it does this well without making the place feel cramped. The staff are polite and friendly and attentive. As well as in abundance (Almost unusual in this day and age). This makes the place feel like it flows well. The prices are reasonable too. With the children's portions being excellent value for money. The quality of the food is good and reflects the price you pay. I would easily recommend this place over a large chain brand of a similar nature.

This place is one of the best, I’ve been coming here almost every weekend since they opened with my mates and every time has been outstanding. The food is absolutely wonderful, the service is perfect and the atmosphere is fantastic. Definitely a place for all ages, I think the size of the place actually works well with the atmosphere, very rustic. The manager is super friendly, easy guy to chat to. This is the best desert restaurant in Lincoln. I would say the only thing I think they could improve on is their menu food variety, which is already very good.

The waffles were really next level . Staff , energetic and helpful . Ordered waffles with scrambled eggs and salmon . Wonderful crisp texture with a gooey interior . Unfortunately, wanted the eggs soft , turned out a bit lumpy and hard . Didn’t dwell on it too much . The flatwhite was a flavour bomb , velvety texture . Madame Waffle is a centrally located multi-story restaurant focusing on waffle dishes, shakes and other sugary snacks. The interior is spacious, tall, clean and friendly. The staff are absolutely fabulous, being very helpful, warm and efficient. Our food was incredible, especially the honeycomb waffle where honeycomb chocolate pieces slowly melt into the holes of waffles drizzled in syrup with a scoop of ice cream to refresh. My freshly squeezed orange juice was just the ticket and my friend enjoyed her vanilla latte also. All this at a very reasonable price. We would definitely visit again.

Great food and quite a lot of seating as it's on three levels. Not the cheapest, but because it's nice it does mean it is good value (which is always better than cheap!). Being in the centre of town means no parking obviously, but there is parking nearby. Staff are pleasant and it is a lovely setting, nicely decorated.

Who could have thought waffles could be so versatile and so entertaining? Madame Waffle is run by people who care - about their lovely waffles and their delicious coffee. We have been there for Full English Breakfast waffles, lunchtime waffles and just waffles with maple syrup on a whim! The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming and the food excellently cooked. They also provide all their dishes on gluten-free waffles, which are just as tasty as the regular waffles. UPDATE: Still brilliant.

If you like things on waffles, this is the place for you. Unfortunately I am not convinced but that's my own taste! Lovely food nonetheless and it's always busy. I came with friends... who love waffles! I like the decor, it's quirky and interesting. I've been a few times, had a sweet waffle which was ok, but have tried the savoury styles like Halloumi and avocado, and the English breakfast style, but it's not for me. Even though I don't get it, I can see why people love this place!

I really like the atmosphere in Madame Waffle, the staff are nice and the coffee is decent. There are two areas for improvement. (1) The scrambled eggs are always overcooked and under-seasoned. A softer scrambled egg with a touch more salt (and possibly butter, unless vegan) would work so much better. (2) Make it clear to the customer how they ought to pay; it's table service but for some reason payment is taken at the coffee bar. Either inform customers when handing over the bill, or bring the card machine to the table.

Went in for the first time today. Firstly, great decor. Extremely busy weekend due to steam punk festival so the staff were obviously rushed off their feet. We had an excellent brunette server who couldn't do enough for us. I have been to this restaurant several times with other people and today i decided to go by myself for a little bit of Brunch. When i arrive i was welcomed promptly with a smile and good service, i did not have to wait long until i was given a menu and when i was it was given to me politely and with good manner. When my meal cam shortly after ordering it was hot and perfectly cooked, never in my life have i found a place that serve phenomenal food in good time with good temperature and food quality. I was politely asked during my meal if everything was well and of course it was. As i ate i was able to admire the interior of this building in the Vintage/Victorian esc of the cafe. I have travelled far and wide to stop for food but by far in my life am i am yet to find a place as delightful, polite, proper and phenomenal place as Madame Waffle in Lincoln. This is my go to place for food and a drink, and it should be yours too! A massive thank you to the workers and the staff at Madame Waffle for such a great place to eat, with such great atmosphere of calm , relaxed and polite and a great experience overall. I simply cannot express how much i enjoy eating from this place!

Coffees were great, far superior to the battery acid muck from Starbucks et al. Savoury dishes of smoked salmon and my Croque Madame + smoked bacon were both excellent. Not the cheapest, but City Centres never are. All in all felt the experience was worth the cost. Would definitely return.

My journey to Madame Waffle really did put a smile on my face. I entered the premises to be greeted by the gorgeous smell of freshly cooked waffles, with notes of coffee constantly gracing my nostrils. I was warmly welcomed to a table upstairs, which is decorated very homely. On passing the bar to reach the staircase, I was acknowledged by the bar man who gave a warm hello, further improving my mood (There is nothing more important that being interacted with by pleasant staff). I was swiftly approached by a friendly waitress who was eager to take my drink order. I felt obliged to have a coffee after the beautiful aroma I had already experienced. The drinks menu was full with plenty of choice, ranging from alcoholic beverages, your classic fizzy pops and even freshly squeezed juices. My drink arrived promptly, and straight away the staff were willing to take my order with a smile. I chose the chilli and Halloumi Waffle which came with homemade slaw on the side. It was incredible; the waffle very light and I wasn't left feeling dissatisfied or too full. It was thew perfect balance, and the cool slaw on the side cut through inviting warmth of the chilli. My favourite part of the dish was the warm, cherry tomatoes that were an absolute pleasure to eat. Water was also provided on the table at no extra cost, presented in an elegant bottle in which I was free to refill my own glass. I was pleasantly surprised with the price of my meal, and I even left a tip for the staff that definitely brought a smile to my face. I would highly recommend anyone who visits Lincoln to enter this establishment and support such a homely, local business. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for the service.
