Fresh out yhe fryer and lovely fish, altho tiny. Chips were either frozen or processed.. lots of reasons I know this...but I do know! So highly disappointed today I'm afraid.

Great fish always cooked perfectly, light brown batter. Busy on Friday tea, but you can click and collect. Loads of staff at busy times so waiting time is minimum. Friendly staff always. Medium fish is large, fish is what I call 'thick' no thin fillets here. I would say better than the 'elite', its always very consistent food too. You won't be disappointed.

Very disappointed This chip shop used to be the best in the area, however having got home with our meals, when we opened the chips I thought they had given us mashed potato. It was difficult to find an individual chip, the mushy peas had so much green food colour in them I thought the Hulk had had an accident, they were very dark green (unnatural). The batter on the fish was also very average and not as bubbly crispy as I have experienced from this chip shop before. We had ordered a regular and a large fish but it was impossible to tell the difference between the two and neither fish was that large. We will not be visiting again in a hurry. Have given The Fish King another try, and what a difference!!! This has completely turned round and is back to being the best, well done,staff are excellent too 5 stars

Busy Friday night, but super fast service. Ordered fish, chips and peas over the counter... and they were absolutely beautifully cooked, hot and totally delicious. Will be calling again and hoping this is their usual standard. Top marks and highly recommended.

Lovely chips, massive portion sizes, really friendly staff. Several vegetarian options available and everything is cooked in vegetable oil, not animal fat. This is my favourite chippy which I visit every time I'm in Lincolnshire. (Incidentally, everyone calls this place 'The Forum Chippy' and many locals don't even know it's called The Fish King!)

Well 2021 and let’s see if the year gets better, but a great start! I reviewed a year ago how good the Fish King is and we have just had the first helping of the New Year. Let’s hope the year is as good as the food today. We had a Large Special, a normal Special and a large Cod no Batter. Superb fish in every size! They are usually good anyway, but, they were all light, fresh, flavourful without being strong and as good as any fish I have ever had, if not the best! Keep up the excellent food and best wishes for the New Year to all at the Fish King! Anthony Barkworth and family. ———————————————————————— We always go to the “King” of chip shops whenever we are in Hykeham and also use the one on the Ermine. They represent excellent value for money and their food is is first class. Tasty, well cooked and served by an attentive staff. They also have a restaurant at Hykeham which I have used before and makes a great proposal for have a sit down food service. So, try it, you’ll love it!

Ordered two small cod and chips to take away. Despite a long queue, service was very quick as they have 3 or 4 people on at one time. Portions were huge, so if youre looking for a small meal I would suggest a kids meal. Pricing was also very reasonable and staff were lovely.

I had large haddock mushy peas and chips and she was very forward to some what I call scraps but she told her differently I'm very sorry at the lot to make a nice cup of tea the waitress what surgery was very pleasant and it was so cheap I said anywhere I can use I went to one of the other week and it was someone at £18 but when I saw the bill it was for £8 I gave him a tenner because it was worth it and I'll definitely go again I think they call it the forum in Lincoln so if you want a nice present me off reasonable price head for there

I decided to visit the Fish King Fish and Chips Takeaway after spending a few hours in the K tube at The Forum. The smell of the pukka chips revived me and I decided to invest in a meal. The staff were very friendly and the chips were very enjoyable, however the selection of beverages was non-existent, so these had to be acquired from the local Tesco Express across the road. Whilst walking to Tesco I noticed a very attractive woman on the TV in the window of one of the housing agents. I recognised her as a woman who seems to wear a different coat every time I see her at The Priory Academy LSST. I swear she has like 4 coats.
