Lovely rather hidden gem of a french restaurant in the heart of Liverpool. Good prix fixe and a la carte menus. Delicious well presented food, atmosphere relaxed and authentic. Many great offers early evening weekend and midweek. Staff friendly and accommodating to special requests reasonable prices (please note: Disabled access might pose a problem for some as the entryway is a steep flight of stairs)

A beautiful restaurant tucked away down a quiet side street, serving delicious French food and great service. We ate lunch here today and opted for the 3 course special. Everything was cooked to perfection in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back for more!

Went there yesterday. Weds is wine and dine after 4.30. Two courses and a bottle of wine per person for £22. I had the roquefort salad with walnuts and tomato and mum had king prawns. For main i had beef stew with red wine which was nice but a bit rich. Mum had the chicken supreme in creamy sauce. Didn't have a dessert. Think you can have main and dessert for the two courses. Portions were large enough. The white wine a savignon was lovely and crisp. The waitress Natalia was lovely and very friendly.

We have been visiting this place for over 15 + years. On every visit we have had excellent service and excellent food. However, we visited today 14/2/22 and was shocked to find the place almost empty, which is unusual. Also they usually give you a basket of fresh bread and butter but today it was only 1 piece with my soup, none for my husband. We were then asked if we wanted fries or veg with our chicken, again not the usual broccoli, carrots, potatoes and red cabbage on a hot plate. The service and food were good but if I wanted frozen fries and chicken I could of gone to kfc or any other cafe in Liverpool for a fraction of the price. The price of a 3 course meal which we had , had risen in price to just under £20, but the amount of food compared to what they usually serve was drastically cut down. They have cut the food down to the bare minimum and the special extras that we are used to have been removed. These things are what makes you want to return. Shame on you ,you have lost a valuable customer. The owners certainly need to re-evaluate what they are doing before they become another empty building.

Second time visitors, and broadly enjoyed as much as our first time. The lost rating star is for the sound and vibrations of the Oasis tribute band in the bar below. We asked to be moved but were told that it was as bad all around the restaurant. Such a shame. Great food, excellent attentive service, and a familiar and attractive French bistro look. The environmental noise pollution was unfortunate, and must be as disappointing for the bistro owners and staff as it was for us. Ending on a positive, the Dauphinoise potatoes were by far the best that myself and Mrs Puffin have even tasted.

A very beautiful and warm bistro,very "French" . We visited it every year and we eat with the family. It never disappoint us ,always tasty food and desserts with good service. Prices are very good and you can have at certain times menu of 2 or 3 courses in a very good price!

Amazing freshly cooked food! Visited this place a total of three times and am never let down. Booking online is easy but I'm semi-confident you could get a table if you haven't. I can't speak more positively about their food. The muscles and pate starter are a favourite of mine, as well as the tagliatelle pasta main. Their crem brulee looked amazing too, but can't say I've had desert here yet. I have had their cheese board though, if you like brie and blue cheese I definitely recommend. There's also cheddar, I believe it was! 5/5 for top rated customer service, the amazing food, lovely cuppa teas, and the lovely atmosphere!

Food was well seasoned, good value for money had the three course deal. Nice decor. Unfortunately we had a the baby in the pram and the restaurant does not have a lift or ramp. So had to carry the pram up. Also no changing facilities for the baby.

We have been here many times over the last 10 or so years. The restaurant is very atmospheric being in an old part of Liverpool. The food we had was excellent. Served by very friendly and accommodating staff. Pre theatre deal: 3 courses, drinks for 2 only £45.

Went for the first time on a Wednesday, 2 courses and a bottle of wine for 20 quid. It was all excellent quality, tasted really good and generous portions (where some restaurants tend to make them smaller when a deal is on.) Service was friendly and helpful, yeah I'll be back.

Thought we'd try here as we have one in my home town, the entrance is not too obvious and it's above a more rowdy cocktail/shot bar. But that shouldn't put you off. Despite it being Bank Holiday Sunday, the atmosphere was much calmer than the street outside. Typical bistro pierre decor, but still charming and welcoming. 2 of us had Soup of the day, Sunday pork roast and risotto all washed down with a nice bottle of Pinot, all for under £50. Food was really tasty and generous portions too. Staff polite and attentive but not intrusive. Well worth the visit.

Loved this little gem. Transported from shops to France by a flight of stairs. Authentic bijou cafe feel, and friendly French staff add to the ambience. Very good menu. Lots of choice & good value. Quite simply "EXCELLENT"!! They try the "french" thing, but it's a "Bistro"! We have eaten there many times!! Food is, as you would expect, but, excellent! Service is, again as you would expect, but again, excellent!! Atmosphere is, casual, relaxed, laid back!! But, "dressed up" if you want, especially, in the evenings!! - it's up to you!! I've been going there, and it's sister restaurants since October 2002. The food and atmosphere is always good. Some of the fish menu menu combinations are a little 'out there' - I wouldn't put habañero with as delicate a fish as sea bass, but otherwise my friends and I have always enjoyed ourselves

Happened to stumble across this place. They cater for gluten free and Monday and Wednesday's have an awesome deal for £18 get 2 courses and a whole bottle of wine (yes a whole bottle) for one person. Really good tasting food. Highly recommend.

We came here at Christmas and felt that the standard was below what was expected, however after informing the Bistro of our December visit they invited us back to try again. ** UPDATE** Issue below was resolved by the manager, who was extremely helpful. Food was excellent for the lunch menu. We were a party of three and all had different dishes. We were impressed by the quality and presentation of the dishes. Notwithstanding, a very rude and churlish member of the waiting staff ruined the meal for us. When we said that we wanted a dessert, he simply waved his hand in the direction of a blackboard that was right by where people were eating. We did not want to stare at a board and make other people feel awkward Furthermore, a member of our party has limited mobility. When I asked the same waiter for a dessert menu, he simply waved his hand again on the direction of the board. I specified that we wanted a paper menu and he glared at me. He then proceeded to throw one paper menu on to our table with another glare. I must emphasise that the other two people on the restaurant floor were friendly and attentive However, the meal was spoiled by one childish, arrogant and rude waiter, who did not even have the courtesy to apologise after we complained. In sum, the food was excellent, but the blatant arrogance and rudeness of one childish member of staff meant that we left with a bad taste in our mouths. This would have been a 5 star rating if it hadn't been for his stroppy antics.

C'est magnifique 🇲🇫 We dined here as we were in Liverpool celebrating a special anniversary. We adore French food and this place certainly didn't let us down. We had three courses each. I had the chorizo salad to start and steak in a dianne sauce for the main with chocolate cake for dessert. The food, atmosphere and staff were all great. Our first dinner with my Contiki group was in Liverpool at Bistro Pierre, a French bistro. We were on our own for drinks but had a 3-course dinner planned for our group of 53 people. A few of us split some bottles of wine and we were given options as to our 3-courses. For wine, we went with a Australian chardonnay and a Spanish tempranillo. The wines were ok and I liked the red Spanish wine more than the white. I went with the butternut squash risotto, roasted chicken breast over leeks with a white wine & tarragon sauce. They also brought us a variety of vegetables served family style: fried potatoes, pickled cabbage, steamed carrots, broccoli and potato au gratin. For dessert, I opted for the chocolate-orange cinnamon mousse. The servers were great bringing out the orders per table. We chatted while the food came out. The risotto was creamy and the rice was al dente. The chicken was nicely plated and I really enjoyed the white wine tarragon sauce. I was a little disappointed with the mousse. I misread the blackboard thinking that they had three flavors of mousse but in fact, it was three flavors in one dessert. No matter, I was mostly full by that point so I just picked at it while others were finishing up their meals. We were headed to a pub across the way for drinks and on to the Cavern Club for live music.
