Yet another awesome experience. Went back to Efes Turkish BBQ to celebrate our wedding anniversary because we had been dreaming of the meat sharing platter since we last visited. Just as with our first experience, the freshly made bread and dips were incredible, the main course was divine, the baklava for dessert was heavenly and the Turkish coffee was out of this World. The customer service at this restaurant is second to none and we absolutely love coming here. You can tell the whole team is passionate about the food they produce.

My wife and I had a meal at Efes on Wednesday evening. Pleased to say that it was a repeat of previous visits. Great quality food, good portions, great service, very happy to recommend 👍🏻

Fabulous food and they were able to cater for my wife who is coeliac. Although she was jealous they couldn't make a pillow bread gluten free. When I visit Formby again I'll definitely be in for a kebab.

Disappointed that no octopus available, but calamari was good & plentiful. 2 type prawn starters excellent. Lamb chops exceedingly good, lamb on bed of smoked aubergine good, fajitas (chicken) bit bland. Chips ordered arrived too late so waiter deducted cost (very apologetic). Would definitely go back again.

Excellent restaurant with great service! We had a lovely meal here. We ordered their early bird special. The variety on this menu was excellent. I had meatballs to start and chicken with aubergine main course, my partner had the filo pastry with feta to start and grilled chicken for main course. Starters were served with a massive freshly cooked bread. The portions were all very generous and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!

My first time at any Turkish restaurant but I can say EFES Turkish BBQ left a good taste in my mouth. The waiter was prompt, kind and informative. Compliments to the chef's as my Scottish Cajun Salmon was cooked to perfection. Delicate and tasteful on top but crispy and full of character on the bottom. Would go again. Cheers!

Nice food, fast service and waitress was chatty, felt rushed when finishing food plates were collected the moment I appeared finished which made me feel like I was being rushed, although we were only ones in, I believe it had been busy earlier, based on the food I can believe it was, as all food was lovely, good bar as well and price was very reasonable. Not far from Formby beach and will likley visit again next time we come.

A very, VERY good place to eat; my wife and I have been several times since the rebranding to EFES, and have tried a range of foods. The chef prepares a Kleftico lamb stew the like of which I have NEVER seen; it is truly magnificent, and takes a serious appetite to do it justice. Any previous comments about beer quality have obviously been heeded as the house draft is of excellent quality, if a tad on the expensive side; but then, I don't go to drink beer. A warm and friendly welcome is always assured. Go try the place - before it changes its name again!

Just changed its name to Sofraa but the food is just as delicious...well the starter was....now waiting for the ample portion of chicken kebab to arrive. More later..... Just visited again...now rebanded EFES but the same delicious food....now buzzing so clearly getting more custom. My only slight criticism is I can hardly walk home, the portions are ginormous....A great criticism. I'll be here again soon.

It's a great friendly place to have business lunch. The waitress Hadel always with big smile. The owner.Mazen always offer free tea and make sure that the food was good. They are fast and professional. I order over the phone and the food is ready when I arrive. My son Omar love their shawarma sandwish as well.

We went for a day at the sand dunes at Formby and decided to eat somewhere local before going home , the service was lovely and very friendly , the food was fresh and very tasty , the chicken was good lovely , this restaurant is taking part in the Help Out To Eat Out scheme and so on Monday to Wednesday this month you will get 50% off up to £10 each , we got a starter each , a main each , 2 cokes and a baklova to share all for £19.50 👍🌈😀
