The meals here are always expertly cooked there are plenty of choices too. The chips in particular are the best I've ever tasted and the standards never drop each time I go in. Highly recommended.

I have always found the food to be of good quality, portion size just right and the price is very fair. The staff are welcoming and the speed of service even at very busy times is good. I have tried several other similar business's but I always return to George & Angela's.

Absolutely incredible fish and chips freshly cooked!!! Came to the beach for my Dads 60th and found this beauty of a place. Bloke and young girl at the front were incredibly friendly and got our orders bang. Thank you for ending our trip with your delicious food.

Excellent food. Crispy duck ¼ was more like a ½ duck and was restaurant style instead of thrown in the chip fryer like most chippys do. There was tons of meat so not sure if they put in a half duck instead of a quarter by mistake but was only charged for a quarter. Lots of fish ready to go out the door which it was. Obviously its better to have fish freshly cooked but in this case it was freshly cooked in anticipation of that next customer who wants fish. Customers were coming through the door 2 fish and chips, fish and chips please 3 fish and chips etc and as they left more fish were put in the fryer so waiting time was minimal. Nothing worse than waiting in a chippy with several people waiting for fish to be fried along with all those waiting for Chinese meals. Only one problem I find with this place is they close too early

We visited George's for the first time today, and we will definitely be back. The fish was lovely and fresh and the chips were fab! George and the team were very friendly and helpful I would highly recommend this fish and chip shop.

The meals are very good. But when I just buy portion of chips, in the few minutes it takes to get them home, they have stewed in their wrappings and become soggy and limp. It's not a one off. I try again a few weeks later and it's exactly the same. The only way to make them palatable is to re-fry or put them in the oven. Some chip shops can make beautifully golden crisp dry chips which don't deteriorate like that, so why can't this long established buisness?

Four of us inc. 2 children all enjoyed our meals including fish, cakes sausage, chips & a magic curry sauce. All the food was terrific & we would return without hesitation, GOOD JOB!
