Great bar with good music. The pale ale was a nice suprise. Beer monsters you need to know the IPA is more like a Greene King effort - a bit hoppy but not the real "Big Boy" thing as they claim (see photo). Mind you, we stayed for a few more so calling it a nice sessional IPA it would be more accurate. Despite all the mixing and shaking going on behind the bar on a busy Saturday night, the staff are well organized and on the ball with their service. I'll be back.

15 weeks in the UK and only my 2nd Sunday roast. 5-star lamb, golden crispy potatoes, super friendly Scouse service and a great pub vibe. That teapot is full of homemade gravy!

Great place, intimate gigging venue, prices in line with most of other places like this, but would have to say ambiance and feel many, many times preferable to lots of smaller venues visited recently. Superior vibe and will definitely frequent loads over the coming months! A+++++

A great venue let down by the security. I was shocked to see Rowlands on this venue which I’ve visited I few times with friends and really enjoyed our night .He’s been sacked from a venue on the Wirral for inappropriate behaviour with a drunken female in the female toilets . I trust a bar like yours with a good reputation will terminate his employment with immediate effect. Thank you

I would like to personally thank Pete, Alex, Libby, Lucy, Sam and Brad for being extremely helpful, efficient and all round legends, helping our band's (Seb & the Poor Valley Marauders) night go really well. Very cool bands play here like the rills. But don't tolerate under 18s to see them, despite them coming far they're turned away without prior warning. Should make it more apparent when renting their space out that it is intended for bands with mature audiences.

Nice to see the building back in use. Very nicely done out great restaurant and friendly staff. However cant help looking back to the days of the Cabin. Grubby grimey and beer soaked carpets but what a great place Amazingly the cellar is still somewhat reminiscent of the Cabin almost expected to see that big fat DJ....he certainly knew what tracks to play....what was his name.

Good atmosphere even if the music is too loud in the bar area, the house drinks are great for the prices however be aware that there is no lift to the upper floor restaurant or down to the music venue and there is no disabled toilet only a mother and baby changing room, in a bar/restaurant/music venue. So able bodied mothers are in for a great night. Screwed if you are disabled.

Don't usually do reviews but to be fair I feel owe it to the staff - particularly our main server sarah (pronounced Zara) as she and everyone else were all really friendly, attentive and very professional. The afternoon brunch deal was dead good value as there was lots of choice on both the food and booze menus. For once I didn't get food envy as I opted for the duck with crispy egg thingy and let's put it this way I'll be dreaming of it for a while. The gin selection was decent and refreshing to see the awful Liverpool Gin (you do know its not from Liverpool don't ya) wasn't the only option unlike in lots of other bars in the city centre. Also the house lager was top too. Anyway Its a 👍👍from me.

Whoever designed the downstairs bar needs a slap. Feel sorry for the bartenders when an event is on, not practical at all and slows service down enourmously. Floor is already coming up in the venue, despite having only recently opened dangerous in places. The four stars is for the great service I received, in spite of these issues which staff have no control over.

Another triumph! Great bar, fantastic atmosphere and an amazing live music venue. With the addition of a restaurant, Jimmy's Liverpool is a wonderful place to visit for an afternoon of mingling, music and food. However, if you are looking for the latest up and coming bands, the downstairs live music venue is outstanding, great sound and very well run. Would highly reccomend!

Had the pleasure of seeing Dreadzone live at Jimmy's. The last time I was in this building was around 30 years ago when it was the Cabin but thankfully everything is looking much better these days! The downstairs performance area is quite small which all adds the atmosphere which was fantastic for Dreadzone. Beer is pretty good and the toilets are surprisingly spacious and a lot better than they were in the late 80's!

Went to Jimmy's on Friday night after watching a local production of The Laramie Project at the Black E in Great George Street. Fabulous what can I say! Jimmy's has only been open for a few weeks but with it's fabulous music and relaxed atmosphere it's a great place to go for a drink.

Great venue, shame to see the statue of the'horse' gone (it's a Cabin thing). Great venue for bands downstairs, staff could be better moving on eejits who are "LOOK AT ME, I'M AT A CONCERT" (tend to be mature adults not kiddies!!!!!!).
