N. H.Friendly well-run restaurant with a straightforward menu offering a wide range of dishes. I had Kung Po which had quite a kick but was very good. The place seemed very clean and efficient, which I appreciated as I just needed a quick meal but other people there seemed to be regular customers having a very relaxed and pleasant evening.
J. H.Very tasty take-away food. The Chicken in garlic and pepper and the Char Sui in Peking spicy sauce and the noodles were all excellent. Great service!

Restaurant was nice and spacious however I personally was missing Chinese decor and tradition. At the end we were offered to take out our leftovers free of charge!

Definitely order ahead next time as the queues outside suggest its a decent spot to eat.

We booked for a meal to celebrate my birthday. As it was early we were the only ones there which started us worrying about the food quality... We needn't have, as the table was clean and the food was delicious, plentiful and filling (which put paid to the old joke "If you go out for a Chinese meal... You'll need to go to the chippy on the way home) The staff were fantastic and very helpful, explaining to my 14 year old daughter what each dish on the menu contained and how it was prepared and cooked.
The restaurant soon filled up but we still didn't have to wait too long for our meals to arrive.
Although a little expensive it was worth it for the excellent quality of food, the service and the surroundings.
We will be returning.

J. S.Nice Chinese restaurant but expensive compared to others around the city. Good varied selection of food and well presented but drinks prices appear high (a standard "smallish" glass of house wine is over £5 and tastes similar to something that costs less than £2.99 a bottle from the bottom shelf of Aldi)
The restaurant environment and decor is a bit drab/plain and the lighting is very dull. The windows are without any curtains or blinds allowing passers by to have a good "gorp" at you while your having your bit to eat . Overall the 9 Dragons resembles an East Berlin cafe before the fall of communism. Some soft appropriate restaurant lighting and window blinds/curtains would make a vast difference.
