We had the mousakka and Slovakia chicken this was unreal and prawns to start everything was so fresh and tasteful!!! The lady waitor was so friendly and cheerful could not fault this little restaurant what a little gem on st Johns road Waterloo! Xoxoxox thanks for the experience we will definately be back!!! XXX

Delicious food, we’ve only ever ordered from this place. We ordered weekly for over 3 years. One night the delivery was over 2 hours late. We were promised a complimentary bottle of wine by way of apology with our next meal. The next time an excuse was made as to why the wine hadn’t been delivered, we were promised we’d receive it the next time we ordered - unfortunately the next time we ordered it was the same scenario. The Driver apologised profusely and promised it would be dropped off the following night at a specific time. I actually travelled home early from where I was, to ensure someone was in for when the delivery man would be knocking. Unfortunately he didn’t turn up and I received no phone call to inform me that he wouldn’t be coming. It’s bad customer service to mess people around, especially loyal customers. We haven’t ordered from here since.

Great venue, and a true example of what makes Crosby and Waterloo so great. Nice food and brilliant surroundings with very attentive staff. A true "local" business that is worthy of all our support. I will hold hand up and say the Falafel starter wasn't great but the rest was superb (olives, fishcake starter, sunrise special and lamb kebab for mains).

Hidden Gem on our doorstep! Husband and I thought we'd give 'Sunrise' a try last night as menu looked so good! So glad we did, so much choice of places to eat in our area but this will be a favourite from now on! Service great, friendly staff, food delicious and wine ice cold and top class. Bill was so reasonable too. Don't usually take time to review but this deserves a mention. Don't hesitate to book and eat, you won't be disappointed.

The most delicate and flavoursome chicken I have ever had. Simple but perfectly delicate rice. Roasted vegetables sublime. Lamb Kofta beats any sheek kebab I haver had, including the Gate of India. Beautiful delicate cuisine. I love my Curries but I think this has converted me. Thank you Chef.

First visit great. Second visit average. Third visit good food but poor service. First visit: Just enjoyed the best mediterranean food in years. Asked the lady of the house for a starter recommendation and was advised to try the calamari. A wise choice as it transpired - so fresh and tender in a beautiful mix of batter and breadcrumbs, served with a finely chopped lettuce, cucumber, red onion and tomato salad- dressed in olive oil, lemon and a drizzle of pomegranate sauce accompanied by pitta bread. It was followed by an halloumi kebab and a side of aubergine ratatouille - latter served in a green pepper cooked to perfection. All presented with the trademark salad which was fresh and delicious. Everything was served beautifully and in generous portions. For meat lovers there is also plenty of choice. Across the range they offer tapas, starters, main courses or light bites. Something for everyone. Rounded off with a great cappuccino from their decent coffee machine. The lady who served me couldn't have been more helpful. She is very laid back and welcoming, but no slouch making sure you're very well looked after. Excellent food, people and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Will be back! Second visit - standard was not quite as high, with requests re meal not conveyed to the chef or not interpreted correctly. Third and final visit was disappointing. The lady proprietor turned the light off near my table whilst I was reading a book, then my request for chips instead of rice was forgotten and the chips arrived later as an afterthought and tried to charge me for them, despite it being their mistake. When I raised this to them they still wanted payment for chips on top of the main meal. Their insistence on this has cost them my custom and that of my friends. Shame, as I liked the food and the female proprietor was previously lovely.

I've had lunch at Sunrise on three occassions so far and I look forward to returning in the best future; the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, the space is nicely presented with a clean, well organised and appropriately stylish appearance. The menu offers a nice selection of salads vegetarian options as well as the mediteranian last and seafood dishes. I particularly enjoyed the Karniyarik - a meal with roasted aubergine filled with onion, tomatoes and fresh medditaranian herbs. finally, to complete what I found to be a totally satisfying dining experience for one, the staff are delightfully friendly and respectful in their demenour. Definitely recommended!
