It had BIG shoes to fill when taking over from Moose Coffee but they've done a good job. Coffee is nice, food is good and pretty reasonably priced. It now also has a few Tables outside which is good. Nice place to go for Lunch 👍

We booked a table for 5 and were sat in a cubicle type seat so really comfortable and quite private. The service was great with some changes to the standard breakfast, which was so simple and no issue for them Food and drinks were stunning to look at and fabulous to eat. Even though it was busy as it is popular we felt relaxed and not pressured to get out. Staff are amazing. We all had different breakfasts and all give it 5 stars.

Went for a birthday breakfast for my brother. We were seated by the door which was kept open as it was a nice day, they checked with us several times throughout our meal to check we weren’t too cold. The service was quick and the food was delicious. I’d put in my booking that it was my brother’s birthday and at the end of our meal the staff came over with a free balloon and doughnut and sang happy birthday to him, which was very sweet and a really nice touch. We’ve been several times now and the food has always been excellent. The staff are really friendly and super attentive. Highly recommend.

Popped in for a lunch as a spur of the moment treat, even though it was very busy the lovely staff managed to find us a table. In the past I've had the pancakes and the feta cheese and avacodo in a bagel, both delicious. Today we both went for the breakfast tacos and they were amazing, full up now and very content. Both service and food were excellent, totally recommend a visit.

I visited here for the first time this week and I was so impressed! The food was delicious, so much variety and choice for brunch options. inside the restaurant itself is lovely, really nicely decorated. Our waitress was absolutely lovely, so kind and attentive - she is an asset to this restaurant! Unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but she wore glasses and was quite heavily tattooed on her arms. She was fantastic! I highly recommend visiting here.

I have booked a table for five two weeks before my visit (with deposit) and when we arrived in the place we noticed that the waiting area was non existed. That lead to people waiting for their table/people waiting for their takeout and deliveroo-uber eats drivers to wait in the entrance door and/or right outside of the entrance which means the entrance/exit of the store was constantly blocked. After 10 minutes it was our turn to be seated but the lady offered to put us to a table right next to the entrance which i refused because it was too cold from that entrance/exit door opening every minute and we would have people all around our table waiting for their table or their takeout. She insisted on putting us there as there are no other available tables at the time but we told her that iwecan wait for another table to empty since we were in no rush,she replied that no other table will be available for the next two hours which does not make sense as i explained to her that i will sit on that table for now until something else go free. We have ordered our drinks and food , drinks came and about that time a table went free so we asked for a waiter to move our drinks there.She asked the lady who handles the tables and she came back saying that we cannot be moved as that table has been reserved for another party. In conclusion apparently you can book a specific table to sit which we have never been informed when we booked ours and booking your personal table in my opinion is absurd and makes bookings much complicated. We spent the rest of hour visit having people right above us waiting to be served,we were cold all the time from that door and in general it was a rather stressful than enjoyable visit for a sunday brunch.Honestly that specific table should have been a waiting table for takeouts rather than a table for dining. Coffee was good and chicken burger was a bit overpriced (12.5£) for them three ingredients in it but at least the chicken fillet was divine and it came with a good amount of fries on the side so i didn't leave the place hungry. Staff was friendly,smiley and everything came in time.

Visited this morning for a late breakfast/lunch. Despite being extremely busy staff were accommodating and found us a table. We were warned about a potential wait on food but to our surprise it arrived in no time at all. Lovely food & excellent coffee 😊

Visited to treat my daughter who had a random inset day. We were quickly seated with a warm welcome and it just got better and better. The food selection was great, we got some pointers from the manager too which was appreciated. Lovely little cafe with good quality food. Was seated promptly on arrival and taken through the menu by our server (Jeanette?) who was very attentive and friendly throughout our meal. While the breakfasts all looked delicious, I opted for the pancake special as advised by my sever (peanut butter and jam and fully vegan as well apparently, though I wouldn’t have known from the taste!) and I was not disappointed. They were fantastic. We are not from the area but would happily return if we are around Crosby again. My only gripe would be the latte was served in a cappuccino cup which isn’t to my preference but it still tasted very nice.

I booked online and had planned a lovely Birthday breakfast for my mum. The food was incredible with the best coffee around and such amazing service. They even sang Happy Birthday to my mum with a gorgeous slice of rainbow cake. Which was such a special touch! I can not wait for my next visit. XX

I had been to the original restaurant that was previously on this premises and it wasn't all that good, however we tried it again now with the new restaurant and it was gorgeous couldn't fault them from the moment we walked in it was a nice atmosphere we had a lovely lady serving us who couldn't do enough for us, we had a buttermilk chicken burger and it was the best chicken burger I have ever ate as well as a full English which was huge. Prices where good for what we got. I can't wait to go back

Absolutely fabulous! The food is gorgeous and big portions not to mention the crockery which makes the experience even nicer. The atmosphere is great and the music contributes to that. The staff are really friendly and do their best to accommodate you if you just turn up. It's best to book though because it's so popular. It's become my favourite place to eat

Amazing place. Went for breakfast, new to the area so no idea of where to head. Really large seating area and really lovely inside. Staff were brilliant and super friendly. Tea and coffee selection was great and the coffee is a really good in-house blend. Food menu was large but everything sounded great. We tried the bagel with feta and avacardo, the American style pancakes with maple syrup and bacon and eggs Benedict with smoked salmon - just brilliant, and really good prices. We will be back very soon

Lovely little restaurant. We stumbled on this gem by accident & so glad we did. Friendly accomodating staff, clean fresh environment. Comfortable seating. We went at lunch time (they serve breakfast until 2.30pm for those late risers!) Food was really tasty & enjoyable, presentation was spot on, a child's menu & a specials menu were added bonuses.I love my coffee & wasn't disappointed.Would definitely visit here again to taste more of their menu! Just an added note, they are dog friendly so maybe not the best environment for allergic or non pet friendly people.

The restaurant is bright and airy with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and the staff attentive. There was a bit of a mix up on the bill but it sorted out quickly which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I'll definitely be going again.

Had brunch here today. The staff were lovely, the food was nice. However, there were 7 of us, and when the bill arrived, it was £25.70 overcharged. There were 3 meals added that didn't exist, 2 coffees that didn't exist. We queried the bill, off they went and came back with another bill, that was Still wrong. 2 of the girls I was with, looked at the bill with the staff, and then someone, who I'm assuming was the manager said it had never happened before, one of the girls I was with had, had the same issue at Christmas. After 15 mins we got up and left, as we had all paid for what we had. And left them to sort out their mess themselves. My advice... check your bill. I understand that mistakes happen, but 3 extra meals isn't really very good. Such a shame.

First visit to Azul Monkey for a Sunday brunch and it was a good one! There is a great selection of food and drinks to choose from and the gluten free menu was also good. The staff we dealt with were all very helpful and made excellent suggestions with regard to the food. We'll definitely visit again.

We went to the above yesterday for lunch. Good atmosphere and polite staff and sat down to order drinks. One of the 4 of us just wanted a glass of water but was told to get it themselves from the water dispenser on site! It was a bit odd as we have never experienced this before. She decided to do without instead. During the meal I wanted a glass of water and was brusquely told by another member of staff to get it from the dispenser. I stopped eating and went to the dispenser to get it in a rather flimsy blue plastic glass provided. In my view this spoilt what was otherwise a pleasant lunch with good food. I have given my feedback personally to the gentleman who I presumed is the manager and hope he will remove this shortcoming so that the customer can enjoy their meal uninterrupted by a visit to the water dispenser. I have never experienced this unfortunate arrangement anywhere in any restaurant previously.

We were seated quickly but then waited to order drinks (tables who were sat after us ordered first). Was then told the person who took the drink order couldn't take the food order, so waited again to place the food order. Waited 25 mins for 2 full breakfasts which were missing beans when they came out. Struggled to get staffs attention to rectify this. Breakfasts were okay but not really worth a 25 minutes wait, bacon was hard from being hot held and mushrooms were watery. Probably wouldn't bother again.

Just returned from a disappointing visit for brunch. It was busy when we arrived so we had to wait which we had no problem with, we didn't have to wait long in the end. We ordered a couple of drinks each and two breakfasts (pancakes and a full breakfast) and the staff who seated us and took our order were lovely and welcoming. Sadly, it started to go wrong from here. Our drinks came after about 10 minutes but 25 minutes later, our food still hadn't arrived and two tables (one party of about 8) who arrived after us, were served their food before us. I asked a member of staff and she looked into it for us then told us our ticket hadn't made it to the kitchen but they would start cooking it for us now. Our original waiter came back and asked if he could get us any more drinks but I explained the situation to him and that we didn't want to order anything else without our food and he offered us drinks on the house which we turned down because we genuinely didn't want anything else to drink. Both of the members of staff we spoke to came back to us and told us that the manager had agreed to give us 50% off our bill which we were happy with. 15 minutes after "reordering", our food arrived except for the toast with my husband's meal which we had to specifically ask for. The quality of the food is excellent given the price but we were underwhelmed by the drinks (average coffee, not very hot, orange juice from a carton) and obviously by the fact we had to wait 50 minutes for two breakfasts. When we came to pay our bill (£25.90 originally) we saw that only £8 had been taken off, not £12.95 which would have been 50%. We paid the bill and then I went to the member of staff at the till (assuming she was the manager?) to query this and she (rather curtly) said it was 50% off the food, not the whole bill. I said that we'd been told it was the bill and she again iterated that it was just the food without so much as an apology. By this point, I was tired of complaining and we just wanted to leave. So, after a lot of hassle, and two members of staff telling us we would have 50% off the whole bill, we were only comped one meal; both my husband and I have worked in the food service industry and neither of us found this acceptable. I appreciate that mistakes happen sometimes but when they do, customers should be comped appropriately and we don't feel this was the case on this visit. For that reason, we would be hesitant to return.

We've been there twice already and it's THE best breakfast we have ever had anywhere. I recommend full breakfast to anyone. First time my girlfriend loved poached eggs that were cooked absolutely perfect and this time avocado toast just became her favourite. As picky as she can be it's also first place ever where she said she actually liked coffee she got. Staff is friendly and very helpful. It's not just nice pictures of food but much much more than that. Words just can't describe how great this place is - you got to try it yourself.

Just abit odd when asking for tap water you have to get it yourself I understand it speeds up service but to have a filmsy plastic cup and having to leave your table in my opinion breaks the overall premium experience your paying for when you come ,Other than that perfect !

Went here this morning for our first time me and my partner and we took our dog pablo as it was his 3rd birthday today!
