Came in to watch the champions league final it was a great atmosphere and was very busy, there was a little bit of a wait to be served but the bar staff did an amazing job. Monika served us and she kept us laughing all night. Would highly recommend this pub.

Very nice pub nice food. Looks like it had recently been upgraded but they appear to have forgotten the toilets. The gents were disgusting. Scruffy,missing tiles, bulbs out, cubicles blocked off. Also as we left at 6.30 there was a notice saying the restaurant was fully booked,even though half the tables were empty. What do they mean "restaurant", its a pub.

Just popped in at Crofters for a quick bite, ended up having dinner and drinks. A good local pub with nice staff, the wait for the food was a bit much, the pork ribs were exquisite, howere the the classic grill plate could have been better.

strange to say that even an 30-45minute wait for food was alright at this pub, they only had one chef doing the food in the evening, and a very nice lady serving you out front explaining about the wait and why, she bent over backwards to help people and keep them happy, a credit to the pub but most likely not appreciated by them, if it was not for her we would have left, when the food did arrive it was hot and everyone said how much they enjoyed it, so credit to the chef as well, he must have been so stressed, but the standard of food delivered was still great, if they had a full team on and the waiting time was not as long would have given 5stars.

I have only given the Crofters 4⭐ due to toilets. But they were clean. That wasn't the problem. The staff are wonderful. Food and drink well priced. Definitely wheelchair friendly. Christmas tree beautiful.

Had a lovely night at the crofters ,10 of us for my daughters birthday. Everybody’s food was tasty and good value for money and there was a great choice on the menu . Mixed experience, food was nice, staff were nice, but general management was awful. Tried calling for hours before hand, no answer, got there and wasn't even that busy, 50% of menu out of stock, app on phone was an annoying and slow pain in the backside, tables outside were filthy with one covered in Ash and a outdoor drain that smelt like last years dishwater had just been emptied. Had to order via app which is limiting because you can't request little extra details e.g. no pineapple when ordering gammon. Altho you can state how you prefer steak cooked etc. Food pretty good. Separate order again via app for desserts and tea. Tea came first and we drank it + the dessert hadn't arrived. Had to go + chase up dessert, which finally came with an apology for delay + complimentary extra tea which was very much appreciated. Ate outside as we had dog with us who was made very welcome, water provided. Overall quite pleasant and would go again.

Various dates of visit One of the better pubs in the area. The Turnpike, Stanley and this place are all owned by the same company. (Not that you would think so). This is the better one out of the bunch. I have ate and drank in all 3 (recently) and the best all round package is here. Staff are great too. Keep it up 👏👏👏

Lovely lovely meals. Lovely Lovely waitress; brilliant with the kids. Very good value food too. Decent pint of ale. The restaurant area is tastefully decorated and a pleasant place to be. The bar is 'bustling' and can be loud particularly on a Friday/Saturday but I don't mind that. I like to see people enjoying life! It's just people in good spirit and I think it adds to the atmosphere. Would I visit again? Absolutely. Would I recommend to others? In a heartbeat.

we visited on a winters day, the pub was cozy and warm and the staff were welcoming, there were plenty of places to sit and the service at the bar was quick. The food order was taken and the food came pretty quickly. All of the food that our group ordered was tasty and arrived hot. I would definitely eat here again.

The food quality is top notch at a great price (as I've found with almost all restaurants under the 'Sizzling' brand). They have recently had renovations done and the inside is clean and homely. They also changed the way service works slightly. It feels somewhat more restaurant-like now with staff taking orders and payment being taken on the way out, as opposed ordering/paying at the bar before you eat.. I had a bad experience here in the past, but the staff now seem far more engaged and capable (small note: you need to update your till systems to allow customers to leave a tip for your hard-working staff, even when paying by card!). I had a mixed grill with an 8oz steak, and the steak was a great cut with very little fat, and cooked to perfection (medium rare). It was delicious and truly impressive at this price point. The Bourbon sauce was great as usual, as was the rest of the meal. My partner also had a mixed grill and we both had drinks. The entire meal came to about £25. Proper, quality food, at truly affordable prices. A staff member checked in with us once, shortly after we bagen eating, to check that everything was okay with our meal. We confirmed enthusiastically and were left alone to eat after that. Great service and staff seemed genuine and friendly. Top marks from me on this one. The place has improved massively since a year or so ago, but the prices remain as affordable as ever. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent atmosphere, all staff attentive as well as the most important thing in my view, looking happy with a friendly smile. The food is excellent with a large menu, as well as catering to the needs of my extremely fussy little eaters!! Compared to the more expensive resteraunts around this area i can hand on heart say this has far superior quality food as well as an extremely reasonable waiting time. They have a large car park which is very convenient, outside eating and drinking areas and nice low tempo music to chill out to. I will most definitely be visiting here again and can not recommend this place enough. A real treat at the right price , can't ask for more than that. The Reviewer

Just been in the Crofters in Huyton with my wife and two children for some food. Only had a short wait for a table but have to say it was worth it! It's only pub food but its done well! The atmosphere was great, the service, from all the staff, was fantastic and the food arrived in good time, hot and cooked as we asked. It seems strange saying that but you don't always get this in some pubs. The table service is a bonus as you're not having to queue at the bar to get served with other people who are just enjoying or want a drink. Again something you don't get get in pubs like this as you normally have to get your table number and queue to order and again each time you want a drink or order deserts etc. I'd definitely recommend this pub and say it's worth waiting, if you can, whenever there's a short wait. To all the staff and management, keep up the good work!

This place has come on leaps and bounds over the past 2 years I’ve been a regular in the crofters all my life but was forced to drink else where by below par management who ran the place into the ground But since Andy and Louise have taken over the transformation is staggering. I was been told by friends who had been in recently so we paid a visit and I’m happy we did The decor has changed Cask is back And so is the sports with plenty of TVs I love the Big Screen one of the best I have seen. Me and my wife visited as we have been hearing nice things and people wasn’t wrong We will be returning The food was delightful I had fish and chips Batter very good My wife got the steak pie The girls who serve you do a fantastic job and never stop as it’s so busy compared to what it once was I couldn’t believe it Credit where credit is due Thanks for giving us a true local And I hope to meet you on my next visit so I can personally compliment you both Keep up the great work

This place has changed And for the better Went last night and I had to say I was plesently surprised It’s been over 3 years since my last visit here as it was a dump Upon arrival we was greeted by the manager who was behind the bar He explained where to go for Food The lady who sat us down and looked after us Laura was fantastic And made us feel as though she had all the time in the world to help us even though she was extremely busy when we arrived Food was fantastic although a little wait but we was informed so no bother their but you expect that when every table is in use. whats not to like in the Crofters it caters for everyone, since Andy has taken this pub over he as given the area the one of the best pubs in the city we come every week and its always busy if your after a nice quite drink choose your times as if you chose a match day forget it the place is packed to the rafters you just don't know what its going to be like and i love the fact that you get live acoustic music know i know where they advertise it (social media) i have never had a bad meal experience since Andy and his team have taken over and the place has gone up a level thanks for giving us a true local

Well I have thought about this review for a few days now I have been coming the Crofters for years on and off And I have to say this is the best it’s been Real ale sport and the food our spot on The way the current manager Andy and his wife have got this place running is in their own mold They dont stop and neither do their team Andy is Always joking with his staff and customers But what I think stands them above the other pubs in the area is the service they can’t do enough for you they make it look so effortless but I know of the sacrifices that they have put in See you both and your team very soon Roll on Halloween last year was amazing

Visited the crofters while visiting cousin in Huyton, we were staying in Premier Inn, it's a ten minutes walk to crofters and worth every step, lively pub with great landlord and bar staff, good prices on ales, food was top draw, excellent value for money, it's a must visit pub, outside seating area and plenty parking spaces.
