Just started ordering from Orient in Livingston and what an absolutely fantastic service they provide with a prompt and friendly delivery service and brilliant food at reasonable prices five stars from me guys well done 👍

By far best Chinese in the area. The lady behide desk is always so kind and friendly and gives amazing customer service every time. She even knew my order for pick up just with me walking in the door. All round great food and great service wouldn't order from anywhere else 🙌 don't understand other reviews never had problem in the 2/3 years I been ordering try before you judge you won't regret it.

Just once I had a bad experience on deliveries - perhaps they were too busy as it took over 3 hours. I use Orient every week and the food is great. On occasions if you ask for any special requests it can be forgotten about eg no onions….but all in all I’ve had great experience over the last 2 years

For the past couple of years or so, Orient has been our "go to" for Chinese food. A few weeks ago, we ordered sweet n sour chicken, the sauce was spicy. Thought it was my daughter being fussy, but it had some heat in it! Thought it was a mistake, but we'd waited ages for it so I gave her some of my dinner. Ordered sweet n sour for myself tonight and again, it's got a proper kick to it. It's never been like that in the past and with fussy kids (who previously loved this dish!) we're going to have to rethink where we order from. Food just hasn't been the same, don't know if it's a new chef or different ingredients, but it's really put me off now

Well what can we say ? Best food ever . My daughter recommended here and so very glad she did . My fiancé and myself have had various different meals from here and every single one has been really delicious, delivery been great , food lovely and hot and they cook to perfection. Will be getting lots of meals from here . One final thing to add - their telephone manner is great too . Lovely staff lovely food go on try it you will not regret it . 100% recommended:)

The food is lovely from here. The only thing that stops me from giving the 5th star is they are very good at forgetting parts of your meal. Happened a few times. Didn't call up this time because by time they brought it too us the rest would be cold so i gave my son mines and made pizza for myself. Also the delivery times are very long 2 hrs wait

We bought a meal from here after reading the on-line reviews and were very pleased with what we got. The chicken and sweet corn soup was tasty, the salt and pepper ribs had plenty of meat on them, the fried rice was good. We had chicken satay and sweet and sour chicken balls for our main courses. The portions were generous, the food was restaurant quality, it's really hard to say anything bad about this take-away. Highly recommended.

Just had a very nice meal delivered. Most was made vegan, gentlemen that took the order wad very polite and knowledgeable, food arrived only 10 minutes later than quoted, nice and hot, on a busy Friday night. Down to earth, quality Chinese, Thai, Singapore, Malaysian meals can be ordered. Only take out options available. The food is really good. However, they do not accept card transactions, only cash. You can order and pay online with card though, they'd deliver to your location. Well worth the visit.

Order from here all time but taking a minimum of hour and half to 2 hrs for chow mein, ribs and chips is way too long. It's all time not just a certain day/time. If delivery times were better my stars would go up as food can be nice. Foods better takeaway wise beginning of week rather than thur-sun.

I recently visited this chinese takeaway for the very first time and was extremely suprised at the excellent service. Having never been here before and didnt expect too much, a member of staff gave me with my meal free prawn crackers a calendar and a bottle of beer with my meal which i may add was very good. I will most certainly make The Orient my one and only choice in the area for a chinese take away. Many thanks for your excellent food and service.

Ordered almost 2 hours ago and still haven’t got our food, this also happened last time... I phoned 40 minuites ago and they said it is in the drivers car, I assumed this meant the driver was also in the car but apparently not...

A lot of really nice and somewhat unique dishes for a Chinese take-away. I order here a lot and I am rarely let down by what I have. We always order using the website for collection because it comes out cheaper, is better for the business, and we often receive a call from them to let us know it'll be ready in 15 minutes. Only negative is that the website design is often confusing and unintuitive.
