R. H.Very unassuming looking place just off the main road at Uphall behind the rail station. Very friendly staff with a family run feel to it. Starters were extremely good, the king prawns were not the usual over cooked or re heated stuff. Extremely good. Main courses were again extremely good. Wide spectrum of flavours yet nothing was being over done. Hats off to the chef who is obviously tasting things before they leave the kitchen. Nothing is over dressed and they aren't using poncy plates or over the top garnishes. All in all an extremely good place to try Thai food like it's supposed to taste. Go right now and try something you haven't had before you will be very happy. Book in advance for peak times.
A. D.First time in SABANNGA THAI restaurant 10 mins from my house and YOU have to go! Great food. The chicken satay is so good(tender and flavourful). Papaya prawns salad with pickled fish is not in the menu, but the lovely chef made it for me!!. Fish cakes are good. Red curry was good. Yum woon sen seafood salad is good However mango sticky rice was okay( better with fresh mango). The service we received was great and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us a great Thai experience.
K. F.A nice treat for father's day. The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. For starters we had the chicken green curry spring rolls, the spicy Thai fish cakes and the Gai Satay, all were delicious and a sign of good things to come. For the main course we had the papaya salad, the stir fry green bean Thai red curry, Pad Mee Singapore, Pad See Ew (wide flat noodle) and the Penang curry (red curry) with coconut rice. For dessert we had sticky mango rice and our kids enjoyed the strawberry and vanilla ice cream. Everything was presented so well on the plates. We can truely say all the food was amazing, so flavoursome and we're definately going back again. Very highly recommended.

I. C.Fantastic takeaway last night from this super new venue. The spring rolls were delicious - and the black pepper salmon was soooo good. And that was just my meal. Others got seafood, chicken and salad dishes - and all equally complimentary. We’ll definitely be back.

N. W.My new absolute favourite restaurant. The whole experience has been fantastic, from online booking, a really well laid out menu, and such friendly and helpful staff. Caters for vegan and gluten free, and nothing is too much trouble. Even went out of their way to make some rice crackers as the prawn crackers were neither vegan or guten free. Very decently prices too. Super place.

z.Doesn’t look much from the outside, but it’s nice inside, clean and the staff are super friendly. We had tempura prawns, actually the best I’ve had, green the chicken curry and chicken pad Thai. All well presented and really really tasty. We also had 2 glasses of champagne and 1 pint sangha beer. £50 all in which is fantastic value for money. We will be back.
s. h.Wonderful addition to West Lothian! I'm originally from a very diverse area of the US and this is some of the most authentic Thai food I have found in Scotland. Excellent food, friendly staff, you can customise heat from mild to Thai spicy, what's not to love?! I have had both sit-in and takeaway from Sabannga and have always been pleased with the taste and quality. I brought some guests from a large city in Canada and they were impressed too! Highly recommended and worth a visit (or two or three)

Pork belly curry was to die for ....as was the Thai street food which was served with an array of beautifully carved vegetables and served in a pineapple!!!

A. M.Excellent quality. Big portions, friendly efficient service. Web site is class, really easy to use. Other reviews have mentioned that the cost is slightly higher than other local takeaways. This is true ( not hugely though ), but you won't find fresh mussels cooked in their shells at standard takeaways. Loads of fresh seafood in my main course. This is more a proper Thai restaurant that offers you the chance to take away their food, than a takeaway place.
Will sit in next time, as the food was cracking.

Would have been 5 stars but deducted one for the price. £34 for a starter and two main and sides is quite high compared to other local takeaways. I suspect that the pricing is more for a sit-in meal than takeaway. As such, we will use again, but more for an occasional treat rather than weekly.

J. H.Second visit to Sabanga Thai. We have now tried a variety of dishes. Tom kha soup, chicken satay, fish cakes and spring rolls are all amazing. The Gaeng Ped Phed Yang and the Gaeng Penang are outstanding. To finish off the meal the ice cream bomb is delicious. The cocktails are equally delicious and very reasonably priced. Sabanga Thai is well worth visiting as the food is better than any Thai food I have tried in Edinburgh

d. r.1st time using Sabannga Thai Restaurant and we are so glad that we did. We travelled from Rosyth to sample authentic Thai food (30 min drive each way) and it did not disappoint. A polite friendly service and amazing food. We will be back soon.

A.What a gem of a place!! Lovely customer service for a delivery order. Food is on point - beef in the massman curry cooked to perfection as well as chicken skewers and the chicken pad thai. Definitely my favourite go to place from now on!😋

meal was excellent, we tried the lunchtime set menu and it was awesome, I left feeling full, the staff were excellent, friendly and most of all good with my son. The food was tasty and very well presented, very hot and spicy the way I love it, for the 3 of us 3 courses £45 absolutely brilliant. I’ll be back again next week as I love Thai food it’s the best place I’ve been too in a long time (hidden Gem)

We order a takeaway here and it was pricey, 2 people £62.00 we know the ingredients for Thai food are expensive and not too easy to get however, things like som tum and starters could be slightly cheaper, and spicy and the curry’s are ok but it’s Thai and should be again little spicy, possibly cheaper too for takeaway coconut rice was good satays were a fair size, the food was tasty and it was a nice treat portion sizes weren’t the biggest for the money. Will I be back yes, was the food nice yes but more spice required, the staff were friendly and it was a quick delivery too food was also hot when it arrived thank you 😊
