Massive portions at very reasonable prices, and incredibly friendly service! Food was tasty and fresh, but the kleftiko was slightly too salty for my taste. Regardless, definitely a great place to have some filling Greek food.

We took a quick look at the places to eat, and this is high on the list and highly rated. We called and soon they had a table. The restaurant was very busy, but we sat down quickly, our waiter was lovely, recommended wine and beer to us, it was delicious. We spent a wonderful night enjoying delicious food and the atmosphere was very nice. The staff is also great, we will come back immediately.

What a fantastic restaurant, the service is friendly & attentive which generates a fantastic atmosphere in the dinning room & the is food is top notch. We plumped for the fish mezzo which started with an array of tasty dips & bread followed by Fresh white bait, calamari & Halloumi & then the main event Fresh sea bass, Salmon, Tuna steak, plump prawns & more calamari all cooked perfectly & served with a wonderful Greek salad. Probably the best value meal ever in the UK

Wonderful evening. I highly recommend the sharing platter if you're unsure what you fancy off the extensive menu. Everything is fresh, delicious and well presented - especially the meats that were cooked to perfection. But the best thing about Andy's is the staff who are very friendly and attentive, and made us feel very welcome.

Absolutely love the food in this place, every time I eat here it’s like the last time, consistently delicious. Great atmosphere, great staff and a great owner. It’s on the corner of Pratt street and it’s hidden gem honestly. The salad is fresh the chicken is amazing and whenever I want to eat Greek food this is where I head. The precious time I had the fish and that was equally as nice. Check this place out and let me know what you think.

Our first visit. We ordered a meze which had various starters served with warm bread followed by kalmari, kebab and kleftico all cooked to perfection. Kleftico is cooked on the bone so lamb drops off the bone. Was delicious. Service was quick and Petros and his staff were always checking we had drinks, bread and food topped up. If i could rate higher I would. This place is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the slow cooked lamb chunk. However the best thing about this place is the hospitality, the warmth and the kindness of everyone working there. We had a baby in our group which wasn’t feeling great that day and caused a bit of mess but still the staff was incredibly patient and friendly. The best and most authentic Greek food in London. Petros and all the staff are very kind and generous, it's more than just a restaurant, it will charge your vibes for days. Portions are massive though so order responsibly or ask for a doggy bag ;)

We loved our visit to This place. We were sceptical because it’s in Camden Town and generally it’s not that authentic when it’s in such a tourist place but this was really good and unexpected! We ordered tzatziki which came with delicious bread, mixed grill meal and moussaka. All of these were excellent - the mains come with a side of salad too. All in one would 100% recommend and the reviews are valid for this place. Finally, the staff are so nice and warm - they really care for the customers good experience, not your usual average priced London restaurant. Such lovely people!

I started with Kleftiko, slow cooked lamb, and i had also some spinach and feta cheese starters, and a salad, the quality of the ingredients are excellent, the lamb is slow cooked with different herbs, but they are in balance so you can taste the wine and the celery, the bay leaf...for desert i had an amazing authentic bougatsa with sugar and cinamon...

I visited this restaurant with 4 of my friends on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The outdoor seating is good because there is a lot of sunlight that keeps you warm in UK spring weather. Food was yummy: we ordered a mix of starters- dips, gallium is etc. The best part was the warm homemade pita style bread. For my main I ordered a whole fish which was deliciously cooked and it was a really large portion for the £15 price ( I had to take some home) My favourite part were the staff who were extremely friendly and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed. I really loved it and will recommend to anyone for a family meal. If you miss Greece or just need to feel like you are on holiday during uk lockdown - it’s the place. Will come back ❤️

Delicious, authentic, family atmosphere. This is one of my Greek favourites in London, especially after my visit to Corfu recently. What an amazing experience we had, celebrating Greek Easter at Andy's. It was my first time and I cannot fault it: from beginning to end, Nikolaos & Petros made sure we had a great time and that we enjoyed the best tastes from the Hellenic Republic. The Human factor is what I'd highlighted the most - so necessary in this, indeed, challenging times. An authentic experience with some real friends and real food. Mains are very generous and yummy. I recommend the prawns in garlic butter sauce & the slowly cooked lamb. Warm bread on demand was also a nice touch. A decent selection of Greek & International wines was also available, including a lovely 2016 Hellenic red. Room for improvement can be found, however, on the size of the starters, the size of the fries (such a religion in Greece) and the fact that there were no heaters nor blankets available. That said, please, bring your coat and allow yourself to be guided by Nikolaos & Petros - and you won't feel disappointed... at all!!

The service was extraordinary, however if you're not a fan of the staff checking in on you quite often you might find them visiting you a bit too much. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable at Andy's! (haven't had service, wine, nor delicious food like this since my husband and I spent time in Athens.) If you are not seeking a fancy restaurant but all you care about is authentic Greek food go to Andy's! We went for 5 starters and the lamb kleftiko (the dish of the house) and loved all of them. Wonderful service! Was starving after the concert in Underworld and came in when the kitchen was closing. The owner was very kind and asked the kitchen to prepare their most popular dish - kleftico, which was delicious. The lamb meat was tender and the sauce complimented it so well! Probably one of the best takeaways I’ve ever had. If it’s this good when packed and delivered straight to your I can’t even imagine how good it must be to have it in the restaurant. We had excellent service at Andy's. This is a small restaurant packed with atmosphere - not least from the ebullient staff who are very willing to help. The food was excellent - we had the mixed starters, the mixed kebab and a Kleftiko - a whole lot of food for not very much money. This place is famous for its Kleftiko but our favourite was the mixed kebab - perfectly grilled and juicy. The only down side was waiting a while for water - there wasn't a lot of space on our table but I think big jugs of water with people eating a lot of food would be best. Otherwise PERFECT!

Came for dinner with a couple friends. Tried to book online but there were only some very late slots left, so I emailed and they kindly agreed a more convenient time. When we arrived it was busy but we were seated within 10mins. We ordered the mixed grill, houmous and aubergine dip to start and then I chose the grilled sea bream, and my friends the kleftiko and veggie moussaka. The starters came out quickly, apart from the bread, which took a while (and a reminder). The mains arrived a few minutes later, so we ate everything together. Overall the food was fresh and tasty, though the aubergine dip lacked seasoning. The portion sizes were generous, and I liked that the sides of greek salads and fries were included with the main dishes. The whole meal was exceptionally priced at about £20 a head, and that included drinks and desserts. The place is small and the decor simple, but the outdoor seating, warm weather and even warmer welcome reminded us all of some lovely greek holidays. I will definitely return.

I've been visiting Andy's Taverna for over ten years and it's always amazing, the food, the hospitality and of course the Retsina! Last night I had my birthday party there, there were eleven of us and everyone was so impressed with the food. My favourites are the Kleftiko, the seabass and the aubergine dip but it's all brilliant and everyone loved the food they chose. The owners and staff are so warm and welcoming and really made my birthday a magic experience!

The food here is so tasty and is made exactly how Greeks make it 10/10 food and 10/10 service the people who work here are funny polite and lovely people. Too good not to do a review. I'm surprised that no one has claimed this business yet. I found this on Yelp with only 2 reviews who gave a 5 star. The skeptic in me decided to investigate and this place is indeed a gem! The place is small, enough to have 6 pax but that's provided if you make an early booking. We were lucky cause we walked in and managed to get seats for 3 near the kitchen area. Wasn't too obstructive but if had it been 4 pax, that would have been slightly uncomfortable. Very accommodative staffs, friendly and not to mention attentive. Kept asking if we needed to refill the pitta bread and Greek salads, could have just had those for dinner instead of the mains. Ordering was quick, food arrived nice and hot, not to mention amazing. If you like home cooked Greek food, I would reckon that this restaurant is THE place to swing by. It's not a quiet restaurant so don't expect it to be a quiet night. What we ordered: 1. Chicken Kebab 2. Khleftiko - Baked Lamb (must try) 3. Afelio - Tendered marinated pork with roasted potatoes (must try) Both khleftiko and afelio were really nice and juicy. Super tender and the sauces with the carrots and baked potatoes on both dishes were really nicely done. Paired this with a bottle of house wine, made it the dinner a lot more enjoyable. Portions for the meal is incredibly generous for what you pay. If was more than a good meal, lined our intestines before we went out for a night of drinking. The prices Andy's are decent. Starters + mains incl. Greek Salad + bottle of red wine = less than £60 for 3 pax.

Wow!!!!!!! Absolutely a MUST place to eat!! Wonderful staff, Wonderful food...the best starter I've ever had which is amazing, was the broad beans in a tomato sauce with garlic, onions and dill. We were made to feel so welcome. You can eat outside if you feel more comfortable with covid...which we did. The rain didn't spoil a thing and we were nice and dry under the canopy. I had king prawns with a Greek salad and chips. My wife had the seabass with Greek salad and chips. The Two of us had starters, mains and shared a sorbet. £65. What a bargain. Loved it!!! You will not be disappointed. There's a few Greek restaurants on Bayham St, and whilst none of them are bad, Andy's takes it by a long shot. It's a very small restaurant - feels a little cramped but it's part of the charm (though I would really consider if a large group would be practical - defo scope it out first and ask ahead if time). All staff are attentive and friendly - owner will likely come over and have a chat during the meal. Great atmosphere and food is the best - good value as well. They do a set menu of Greek food with various courses - you will be bursting at the seams! I once came for a birthday and they were so accommodating and everyone left smiling and laughing and full of great food. A proper hidden gem.

Incredibly tasty, well worth the money in my opinion because the portion sizes are huge (although that might be because I tried to eat the vegetarian platter by myself!). The staff are all so friendly, polite and helpful. Especially now with things starting to make the shift back to normality during this awful pandemic, the staff here are extra vigilant with hand sanitiser, wiping menus, wearing face masks/shields. Also little details with double checking whether we definitely wanted one bottle of water or starter between the two of us and asking whether they could approach to take the plates away. Cannot give enough high praise about this restaurant. I am delighted it has reopened.

I love Andy’s. It’s definitely one of Camden local jewels. It’s like being at home. Food is simple, delicious and the service is absolutely fantastic. I have never felt so welcome in a restaurant before in London. We are locals and go to Andy’s every month at least and it’s not about to change. My favourite dishes: Andy’s special kebab, mixed grill and calamari. But honestly everything is great and quantity wise, you’ll be surprised how full you’ll be if you go for starters in addition to a main. Worth a visit. Tip: book in advance as the space gets full easily.

We had the seafood menu for approximately £20 each, including 7 cold starters (Tirokafteri and taramasalada to die for!) 3 hot starters (fried squid delicious) and after that a mix grilled fish including salmon, tuna,swordfish,king prawns and sea bream(whole)... shame that we couldn't eat everything as we were stuffed!! We had retzina to drink and after that a bottle of ouzo. At the end of the meal, the owner offered us a sweet traditional greek liqueur... my friend bought a bottle to take home as it was just great! We will come back for sure! We felt at home and staff was looking after us without being invasive, and we stayed from 3pm until 8pm!!!! Thank you for the great experience!!!!!

The food at Andy's isn't as good as it is in Greece, but it's a good approximation. Special recommendation to the kleftico, which was very tender, and the desserts which were well above average. The staff here are LOVELY. Great customer service and great food... not much to be said. I've been to expensive restaurants and the service there was nothing compared to here. The food is traditional Greek food and cooked fresh - you get guidance for anything you're unsure about and food arrives surprisingly quick. The prices here are also very reasonable for the amount that you get... I paid £22.50 for me and my partner and had a 3 course meal (and coffee with Turkish delights) - we could barely walk after! And you know what you're eating is good for you because not only do you get unlimited Greek salad, but it's widely known that a Mediterranean diet is the best to live on :) I'll be a regular here and I will recommend this place to everyone.

Location: it is placed near the Camden Market, far enough so it is not packed with people. I did not make any reservation in a Sunday afternoon and managed to get a table. The place does look small and crowded, but once you sit down for a while you get used with the atmosphere and start to like it. The music played here is obviously Greek music. Staff: very friendly and polite staff. The waiters know how to do the job well, so be prepared to tip them, don't be a stingy bastard. Food: I had the vegetarian pepperoni stuffed with other vegetables. Not exactly what I expected, I expected that the vegetables used in the stuffing to be pretty much in the same ratio, but in reality the peppers are stuffed with rice predominantly and some bits of other vegetables. The portion is very big so make sure you are hungry when you come here, but if you aren't they do offer to give the leftover to takeaway. In my opinion is a nice place, therfore my 5 star rating.

I ate here for lunch while on Camden on business. I had a delicious mixed kebab with a very tasty Greek side salad. The salad was fresh and tasty and the tomatoes were super ripe and tasty. Ordered a portion of chicken souvlaki and tzatziki. The order arrived within 20 min, fresh and delicious. I would say hands down the best chicken souvlaki I’ve had in London. The portion was good and it came with a fresh Greek salad. The tzatziki also came with freshly warm bread. I would buy from here again. Update: ordered for my partner and myself again. It seems everything on the menu is exceptional. My partner proclaimed it’s not only the best Greek food but the best kabob in London. He ordered the mix meat kabob and couldn’t stop raving. The first time i went there wasn't very sure, but from the moment i walked in and met Andi himself (if he's there he will welcome and thank everyone) now that is service. Quite easy to find, just off Camden high Street. We booked in advance as some reviews said it's busy, but we turned up, it was not busy on a Sunday, and we were given random tables being put together, rather than a pre-designated reserved table that we expected. Staff was helpful when you ask for something, otherwise they all crowded near the kitchen chatting to each other. Food - some dishes were good, the baked lamb was tasty and tender, but the mixed grill kebab though tasty but over-cooked so meat was a bit chewy. Desserts we want mostly ran out so end up having ice-cream. Ambience is average but decor is quite authentic. Suggest a bit more light though as it was really dimmed. Music was a nice touch.

The staff at Andy’s don't treat you like customers, they treat you as guests in their own home. When placing our meze order, each course was explained in a good amount of detail and took into consideration those of us with dietary requirements. Authentic Greek beer served in bottles, and the lamb which was served at the end of the meze was mouthwatering good - my stomach was sure to make extra space for it! As the evening went on, it started to get a bit chilly, so they turned the AC off straight away upon request, but also brought over small blankets for the little ones who had fallen asleep. I was surprised by how friendly and attentive the staff were, considering the location is very 'central'. I will visit again!

I am really surprised but all the good reviews here. The food and service were average at most. The ingredients were of substandard quality: wrinkly tomatoes, old iceberg lettuce, cheap fish - the sort that you'd get at dodgy independent street stalls. The starters were quite tasty: fried halloumi and aubergine dip but the mains were a disaster. Firstly we waited around 30 min for them to arrive from when we finished our starters. We ordered a fish kebab and a tuna steak. The portions were huge - two tuna pieces for the price of £11 - you probably would not get that much tuna in a shop for that price - but when I tasted it, I could tell why it was so cheap... even though it was cooked medium rare, it was dry and completely bland. So was the fish kebab. Really disappointed - the sort of meal that you feel you have wasted your money on, even through it costed £20.

I feel if the toilets look bad, dirty etc it makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. If the restaurant was smartened up and looked cleaner/fresher it would be 4, maybe even 5 star review

We were easter tourists from Denmark, just walking by and saw this cosy completely full greek restaurant. We had to try it, but could not get a seat. Andy's also have a daytime food place just besides the restaurant, and they were about to close. We asked if we could sit in there, and the friendly staff immediately said yes ok. We had a ball and enjoyed the wonderful food. Highly recommended!

This is one of the most authentic greek restaurants in London. Fish is great, nice selection of greek wines (but make sure to also try the Tsipouro), meat is really good too and portions are huge (get the fish platter for two and you ll see what I mean).

Food is very good but if you want to eat there you will encounter some problems Resturant too small people bashing into your chair and yourself when constantly passing by. Door forever opening/closing while your eating if your sitting near the doors. I can see they have the shop next door to them and was flabbergasted to see it's going to be a takeaway so not needed in Camden. Would of been so much better making there restaurant bigger which would of attracted much more people as there forever sending people away. This is the reason we won't be back again and it's not just us lots of people have mentioned the same to us.

There needs to be more mediteranian restaurants in Archway. There is not enough Greek restaurants in London and even though I have actuslly been to this restaurant I delibrately left it five stars because I love greek and family run restaurants and personally I find it boring seeing Italian restaurants everywhere and I think there should more GREEK restaurants available to the public. My only criticism would be that the VEGAN options in all restaurants weather BRITISH or Mediterranean or not there are not enough vegan options of food. I would actually go into the restaurant if you added more VEGAN starters because your tiny menu has none I would love more vegan options of food rather than just bread and houmous would be nice if you had vegan wraps with houmous and vegan cheeses and black olives with more VEGAN greek alternatives so everybody is happy and it's a win win.
