What was most appreciated was the kindness of the stuff. Absolutely welcoming and friendly. We arrived very late but they let us nevertheless sit down and made sure to give us the time to enjoy the food. The dishes we orderer were splendid. Loved the aubergine in the lamb rice. Highly recommended❤️‍🔥

Very beautiful restaurant, clean and sparkling, both the dining area and toilets. Friendly staff. Half the customers were wearing hijabs which is a good sign for a Syrian restaurant! Personally we found the food to be nice but nothing special. The bread, in particular, is very thin and goes hard quickly. But maybe that's the Syrian style of bread, as I'm used to thicker bread in Turkish restaurants. Not many vegetarian main dishes, which was disappointing, but the okra meal was nice enough. But still gets four stars for me, mainly for the decor!

OMG! Such a delicious food here! It was our first time at Ayam Zaman, but not last one! We had Moutabal (grilled aubergine purée), Fattet Hommos, Makloba and vegetarian Bamia (okra in tomato sauce). And let me tell you, this Fattet Hommos is soooo good! Try it if you like hummus. Makloba dish was also exceptional good and so rich in flavour. Bamia was the weakest dish for us was- it's just okra in tomato sauce. And at the end we got gratuitous baklava <3

Interesting dishes toy sont find other places However my chicken kabse wasn't enjoyable at all. The chicken was dry and the wing wasn't eatable, the rice seemed to have been reheated for the 5th time at least I really hope the other dishes are better than this, but sadly i won't be taking the risk. The grilled kibbeh was good, and he was a generous to give us free baklava. Prices are good also. I really hope the restaurant makes sure to rather take an item off the menu than have a dish that ruins their otherwise good menu.

Where do I start? I mainly stumbled upon a place due to a humble google suggestion ( Thanks google!) And what an amazing suggestion it was to be honest. From the get go; the atmosphere was busy and bustling when we first entered and greeted. We were shown 2 tables at the front but wernt too keen but shortly after a previous customer left we were shown to a nice table. The restaurant is medium in size but take group bookings which is a plus. They have amazing attention to detail, with art decor on the walls, cobble like walls and lanterns hanging. It truly transports you away. Anyway on to the crops of the sorts! The food... It was better than anything I've ever expected and I wasnt really expecting much especially these days. But my oh my I was left with a taste for something that I'm already planning to have again just from the first bite! ( it's that good, I know right?) We ordered a lamb shank from a suggestion by the waiter, and a chicken biryiani as mains. Wings, aubergine meat type dish, and chicken hummus for starters. Dont make the mistake I did because the starters were so yummy that i couldnt have enough space for the mains. Oh and also a kofte wrap which was pretty decent, small in size but the flavours and richness of the minced meat was there. The lamb dish i had came with rice,salad and some gravy sauce. The meat was real off the bone goodness and had a richness to it that just made me gobble it up and hesitant to share lol The rice had bits of sultanas and plums which were good but next time I would ask without as personally am not to fond (it is what it is) The chicken biryiani was a bit plain yet had flavour to it, cant be described that well but its something which doesnt stand out too much. The wings from the starters were as good as something from a turkish grill house; Average but nice. The aubergine dish we had had some crispy bits in it with meat pieces mixed with yoghurt. It was completely new to me and complimented my taste buds. The chicken shawarma hummus wasnt spectacular but average also. It was again something different I've had for a change. The one thing I'll say about this place that I'll keep now going forward... Their damn chilli sauce!! My goodness had to ask a waiter 3 times for a refill, nearly convinced him to bring the whole thing from the back lol Amazing chilli sauce that I've not had any where else, deep chilli with flavour and sweetness too. I highly highly recommend ayam zaman for any one looking for an amazing meal with family or friends. And a big plus side we happen to see Chelsea footballer Ngolo Kante lool! Guess he thought the same thing as he dined with his friends! Wouldn't have thought it. But yeah recommend, going again, enjoy 😊👍.

Lovely atmosphere and decor - also has outside seating. Definitely stands out as one of the best restaurants around Shepherds Bush. We ordered the Chicken Kabsa and Sea bass (see pictures) The menu is a book full of a variety of different dishes. Amazing service! We even got complimentary baklava and tea at the end. Mouth watering and delicious Middle Eastern food. We came as a group and were immediately met with great hospitality and accomodating staff despite it being the busy dinner period with a lot of other customers. Great for families and groups of all sizes alike as we had saw. We thoroughly enjoyed all our meals, particularly the Lamb Tajin, Chicken Kofta and Biryani and will definitely be coming back again. Artistic and cozy decor and interior too which made our experience very cozy.

A Sunday Birthday Dinner for 9 people including 2 Children was an absolute joy. Hot and Cold Mezze was very tasty and lot's to share. Main Courses were exceptionally good, great portion size, cooked to perfection, and delicious. The staff were friendly, smiley, and went out of their way to make it special. Special thanks to our Waiter - Yassine who was charming, gave excellent recommendations for dishes to try and whose service was 5*. It's very busy so recommend you book in advance, parking close by was not a problem but you do need to pay.

Probably the best Syrian restaurant I've been to. My go-to when I want to feel at home again. Their mains are very close to how the authentic ones should taste. Maklouba and Kabsa are to die for. Their kibbeh and bourek are a must try if you like mezze. The portions are generous and very good bang for your buck. For wraps, shawarma and makanek (sausage) wraps go down a a treat! Very friendly staff and very professional service.

The only Arabic restaurant in England that does not need any kind of advertising, as it is a well-known restaurant by its own unique Arabic dishes and the administrative and the whole staff is one of the best people who are creative in their work and very welcoming to their guests.

Gem of a restaurant in Shepherd's Bush serving authentic halal Middle Eastern cuisine. Tried the lamb shank, kabsa and some hummus as starter. The portions were quite big, so can easily be shared between two people. It can get busy during weekends. Great selection of mocktails and also freshly squeezed juice also available. Definitely recommend it if visiting Westfield than the inflated dining options inside.

We had gone for the buffet breakfast. The dishes are delicious but majority of the dishes in Syrian cuisine are made with chickpeas or grams. Felafel, Ful, Hummus etc.. I might go back for a dinner next time and try their kebabs but breakfast was not that exciting..

Food was absolutely delicious, excellent portions, and it was so hard to choose what to have. Excellent value for money too, as we had an absolute feast. When we arrived we got one of the last tables, and the restaurant was consistently full and buzzing throughout the 2 hours we were there. It is clearly a hotspot for locals and beyond. The hospitality was wonderful, each waiter was so welcoming and kind, and very attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Very affordable. I had a lamb dish and it was yum. Arabic coffee was superb. Place is very busy and might be a bit congested but amole space to enjoy your meal. Location is also very prominent- on the Uxbridge road. Servers are not the most friendly ones and that's why 1 star less. Would surely visit again.

The amount of food you can have for 8.99 for weekend breakfast buffet is incredible. Scored 5 star for value for money. Need to book in advance if going on the weekend. Suggestion for restaurant : maybe you can up the price a bit but include some dessert, sweet table options would be nice to have something sweet with that fresh mint tea. Also, buffet area could have been kept a bit cleaner.

This place is amazing. I went to Ayam Zaman on a Saturday night with another five friends for food and we had an amazing time. The place was very busy but thank God my friend had made a reservation. We were seated and then we were given the menus. The menu has middle Eastern dishes. We got six starters to share and another four main as well. The mains were the mix grill, the lamb kofta kebab, the chicken shawarma and a Moroccan dish. All the starters were amazing and most of the mains. The only one that I didn't like and I wouldn't recommend is the chicken shawarma which was dry. So I would suggest that you avoid it. But everything else was amazing. In terms of drinks the place does not offer any alcohol, which was good for Dry January purposes. After dinner they gave us some small pieces of baklava which were very nice and we ordered coffee and tea which was the perfect way to finish the dinner. Through all of this time the staff was very friendly. In terms of prices we splitter the bill which was around £16 pounds each (we were six) which I found very cheap considering the the food was very tasty and the portions were big. I would definitely go back to this place !!!

I'm not writing a review for the restaurant. The restaurant is joined onto a supermarket of the same name. It's the supermarket I like. I have not been to the restaurant. The supermarket is often busy. I going there to buy fresh herbs. Huge bunches of parsley and coriander. There is no comparison for quality between this shop and supermarkets. The herbs here are so much fresher. And you get lots more. And it's a lot cheaper than Tesco. it stays open long hours like a lot of these fresh food supermarkets in the area. But I love their range of vegetables. I often buy the huge bunches of vine tomatoes, avocados, bunches of parsley, lemons. I just love the quality of the fruit and vegetables. They have huge pomegranates. They got great variety. And it all looks really fresh. The shop is nice and clean. They have really nice selections of dates and nuts and nice cooking oils. I just love the stuff in this shop. Sometimes at the weekends there is a bit of a queue. But it's not like going into Iceland or some really depressing pound shop. It's got a nice clientele. They are quite restrained and well-behaved. I just love the quality of the fresh vegetables and fruit. The prices are great. And I really like the shop and the staff. There is an overall decorum which I like. No nasty looking shouty people, fashionistas, annoying children, or people that look like aggro. A very sensible and well mannered shopping experience. Nobody pushing and being horrible. Manners and reserve are the norm here. I always stop by to get fresh vegetables when I happen to be passing.

The only downside might be that it is usually crowded so there is a constant noise in the background. Other than that, great halal Middle Eastern food. Try kabsah, it was the best I tasted. One of the most beautiful restaurants In London and in my opinion one of the most affordable ones! It's always full with clients sow prepare to wait sometimes to be sitted but once you do sit you will not regret! The starters are divine, like the old good Arabic women know how to do it, the price range is medium sow you can enjoy experiencing more dishes without fealing broke after like you can feel in many others Arabic restaurants around London!! I personally travel a lot to enjoy the delicious dishes but it worth the time and the money! Another very important thing I love about this place is.. The staff is always kind and fast, it doesn't matter your colour or your religion you are treated like a special client there!!

I usually order from Ayam Zaman and their food tastes phenomenal. Their service is fast and the customer service is top notch. Today (28/11/20, 14:29), we had an issue with an order through Uber Eats (wrong order delivered) and the gentleman over the phone was extremely kind and helpful. He apologised for the mistake and offered to send the correct order which was really lovely. I will definitely be ordering from them again, wonderful service and amazing food.

We've been there during lunch buffet time and even though the food quality was good I felt like the choice was quite poor, especially for the hot dishes. Overall it was good value for money, but I wouldn't return for the same thing again. They didn't charge us for our toddler which was additional benefit, so thank you for that. Very good food and good value - I could eat their mezze every day of the week. Their main dishes are huge portions so be warned. The only downside in my experience is their service - there's a buzzer system that staff didn't actually tell my table about. The last time I went, even when we used buzzer it took a long time to get our order taken and to pay, even though it wasn't very busy. Nevertheless, the staff are very pleasant, the food is great and I will certainly keep coming here.

We ordered chicken shawerma, the lamb mixed grill and jawaneh using Ayam Zaman's online service with zero fuss. The order arrived hot within half an hour. The meats were tender, with the perfect amount of seasoning/grill char. The rice was soo good, along with the sauce they provide. Portions are considerate, pretty good for the price. Everyone told me to get the baby chicken here, but I rebelled. It wasn't even about resisting the eating of babies.. Greedy fatty that I am, I went for the mixed grill since I wanted some lamb in my system for a rainy day. My friend got the baby chicken grill platter and the morsel he lobbed at me was the tastiest and juiciest chicken I've had in a while. I seriously considered just invading his plate for the remainder of the meal. All platters are served with a big heaping hillock of rice, an onion-heavy salad, and a half pita. We also started with a mix of cold and hot mezzes, though none of these really stood out. Complimentary Arab desserts at the end go well with the tureens of mint tea you can order. The Lebanese market next door is owned by the same people, so feel free to pick up more of the phyllo sweets there. Note that no alcohol is served here, so get your booze on elsewhere.
