Reviews of B Street Deli
I. a. (. G.
Very nice selections reasonably priced, and tasted delicious. Ideal for office workers or just people wanted a taste of Italy.
The owner showed a lot of artistic talents while decorating this place, and even though it was a small place every corner was cleverly used for customers to sit down and enjoy their meal.
We enjoyed sitting outside and eating the freshly prepared light meals.
E.
Fantastic deli opp the Fashion museum, on Bermondsey Street. Lots of yummy sweet and savoury dishes, plus sharing platters with meat and veggie options. Also a good wine 🍷 menu - the rosé comes highly recommended.
T. L.
B Street Deli is a cute place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or cheese and cheese and charcuterie platters with wine in the evenings. From seasonal salads to hearty soups and tempting treats, it's a great place to visit if you are near London Bridge or on Bermondsey Street. I wrote an article for my blog so am posting some of those pictures here for you to see, enjoy!
A. K.
I've been to London Bridge so many times but only recently discovered this deli, and I'm annoyed at myself I've been missing out all this time! Fantastic little place, and a great stop on an evening out for a bite to eat and a glass of wine (or two). We only tried some of the cakes with our wine (all delicious) but will be back soon to try the food proper during the day. Definitely recommended!
M. J.
I could eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from this place for eternity and be happy. Simply delicious food, that satisfies my soul.
Music and team are always awesome. 11/10
A. B.
Lovely place for a cup of tea and a work chat. Dog friendly, good food and tasty cookies
J. G.
This is a very nice looking deli with a wide range of sandwiches, coffee and even flowers. I ordered the breakfast bap with egg bacon and cheese, which is a new item. Unfortunately the sandwich was very salty and didn’t have much flavour otherwise. The staff were friendly and the sandwiches looked good so I will come back to try something else but for now I would give the spot a 3.
K. H. F.
It's really cosy, and the staff is really sweet. The food is delicious and good-looking. I really recommend it here, you can take the food out, or eat it inside the beautiful, tiny, old looking place
J. A.
I come here a lot for salads at lunch, great, tasty selection with a wide range of options. Service is a bit hit and miss.
J. S.
Excelent deli Mediterranean style: serving coffee and wine. Food is amazing and service very good and friendly. I like the fact that when you arrive they bring you some water and they don’t try to sell you bottled still water.
D. J.
loved the atmosphere here and the desserts!
J. W.
Great selection of wines and food, and always a lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly but service can sometimes be a tad slow.
L.
Amazing food, and service.! Great advice on wine and also which sharing platter to go for. Did not at all feel rushed despite it being very busy for a Wednesday. Could have happily stayed longer if it was not a school night!
A. A.
Great late lunch. Thai green curry was awesome. Good wine choice. Lovely glass of Port and Oreo cake to spam the kids.
M. M.
The cutest little deli. Ordered a lovely Malbec and olives and bread. The Olive oil is incredible! Great atmosphere!!!
M. H.
Amazing food and friendly staff. Such a lovely vibe in here and very cosy. Nice coffee and the food was so tasty!
T. P.
Delicious brunch food and pastries! Very cute place for a coffee or breakfast in the sun or in the cosy inside area in the winter. No wifi unfortunately so even though it's nice and quiet inside to work, it was not possible.
K. C.
Thank you, B Street, for the amazing service just now. I felt totally comfortable and no one looking on disapprovingly as I'm exempt from wearing a mask. You realise that, after a year, I'm probably aware of the rules! Really appreciate a return to normality in a shop. Thank you again.
K. S.
Gorgeous little deli with great products and an impressive wine selection. I look forward to popping in for a cocktail post-covid
A. T.
Really friendly staff - lovely wine! But the selection is limited and there isn't much space to sit and chat.
M. S.
All you have to do is look at the incredible display of food on offer to realise you're onto a good thing, a very inviting little deli with amazing food and a very welcoming atmosphere, top marks to this great little place. One of the highlights on Bermondsey St
J. H.
Had an evening cappuccino there. The place was lovely and chill and my coffee just I like it.
I. R.
One of many Bermondsey’s secret gems. Long time since I know this warm and welcoming place were food (particularly cheese) is great as well as wine and coffee. Perfect for dates, small dinner and nice conversation.
A. V.
Charming little deli located on Bermondsey Street. A vast array of salads/ sandwiches and more. Pleasant, friendly staff and a relaxed vibe. Excellent to sit-in or to take-away. I can highly suggest some of the wonderful salad mixes. A great addition to the area.
C. L.
A secret gem of a store where good taste and style live. Excellent customer service and absolutely stunning food. I'll let the pictures speak.
A. A.
One of my go to lunch spots in the area and one to which I've dragged a substantial number of coworkers at this point as well. Their salads are out of this world--it is an ever changing daily menu as well, where you can select two kinds for a small salad or three for a large one (among maybe a set of 8 or so). This set up keeps the food from getting repetitive and provides great variety. All of the salads are fresh, very tasty, and filling as well--what else can one ask for from a healthy but delicious lunch?
One word of warning though is that the sandwiches appear to be a bit lacklustre - get a salad if you are there.
P. C. R.
The food is amazing, perhaps the best brunch around and so is the coffee. However, the service can be a little slow and I am not sure they prioritise efficiently. I think the bacon roll is the gem of the menu!
L. T. L. (. U.
Good place for coffee cakes and snacks. With friendly staff. I often just sit outside and watch people passing up and down one of the most historic streets in London. (Bermondsey Street)
D. i.
It is always a pleasure to walk in Southwark, many shops and many restaurant or cafes. The perfect Bistrot finds its location at the corner in Southwark, cozy, comfortable and not crowded. I chose to have my little snack of charcuterie here, in this Casual wine bar after walking in a unusual rainy day, so it was quite pleasant to find a warm place where to seat and chill for a while. Artisan cheeses and fine charcuterie from Spain, Italy, France with fresh olives, honey and grapes, served on a wodden platter, chilean wine and different types of bread, to be enjoyed in company or even alone. I highly recommend this place, as I am usually a solo walker, I like to discover new places, attracted by the atmosphere I see inside the bar.
T. F.
Great cocktails and olives. Also, the shop is lovely inside.
강.
Good collections of wine, good olive and redvelvet cake
P. W.
Their salad selection is amazing and allows mix and match. Staff are friendly. Croissants and sandwiches are also nice. For coffee can go elsewhere as there are a few options on Bermondsey Street...
A. S.
The cafe was really busy during my visit.
Felt it was quite expensive for an oat latte and bacon&egg roll.
Coffee = 2/5
S. W.
This place has delicious cakes and food but a little expensive. Most of the staff make you feel as if you're wasting their time when ordering. Perhaps a few more food labels or blackboards would mean they don't get asked so many questions ... maybe this would cheer them up a little.
P. H.
Great spot for brunch and a coffee on the weekend that won't break the bank. The fruit/yogurt bowl is just £3.50.
N. S.
Fantastic food and wine, decently priced and very friendly staff! They also make great use of the Too Good To Go app.
E.
Haven't tried lunch yet but it's a perfect place for wine and cheese. Really good service too.
E. A.
Love this place. Great coffee and food. The staff there - especially the recent new staff - are great. Top of their game and very friendly, which is the perfect way to start the day. Highly recommended!
m. w.
A wonderful place to get great coffee and food with something for everyone,I loved the vegan tarts.
J. B.
Brilliant little deli. From breakfast through to late drinks. Fantastic service, creative menu and great quality food.
B. B.
Outstanding smoked bacon Bap for taste, portion size, flavour and quality. Fully recommended
S. O.
I’m gonna give you the full 5 because it’s easily one of the best lunch places around (esp vegetarian), but I hope you guys read the comments because you should calm down a little on the dill or change the name of your shop to “B Street Dilly.” I don’t dislike dill, but I want to taste the rest of it too! Besides that, keep doing what you do!
C. M.
Stopped in here the other day to get some work done. Had a coffee and a very good sausage role. There is indoor seating with plenty of power sockets. Free wifi is available and was reliable enough for my requirements. Have stopped occasionally during lockdown for urgent requirements. I remember they had eggs - a luxury, when the supermarkets were sold out! - early on.
d.
Yummy!
H. C.
Awesome service and massive platters. You don't really get enough bread with the platters and have to pay for more though.
D. S.
You know how supermarket bacon ends up a tasteless shrivel in a puddle of salty water? Well, B Street Deli uses proper bacon. I recommend the incredibly flavourful brekky roll. (Or "bap", I guess; Who knows, in this country?) Great coffee too.
O. W.
Staff is friendly, space is very small but cozy. Nice gourmet cheeses and meats. Can always pair with a glass of wine.
T. H. (.
Superb bacon and egg bap. Very good coffee. Everywhere you look there are interesting artisan treats. Can't wait until they are properly open.
B. Z.
Great deli selections (salads, sandwiches, charcuterie/cheeses) and a wonderful wine selection. Comfortable, reliable and cosy spot for indoor/outdoor dining. Very good Volcano coffee as well!
M. S.
Cute place, but weak drinks and not super attentive staff unfortunately, especially to someone sitting outside
l. ..
This place is definitely my favourite coffee shop. I went there many times. Nice atmosphere, chill, Spanish music, great coffee, cakes. Sometimes I had there lunch or dinner. Food is always fresh and tasty ;) . Good job:)
W. Y.
This place boasts the most friendly staff who serve the best coffee in Bermondsey Street
C. B.
Well....Christmas is over....we've pigged out.....we're stuffed..... and can't seem to eat anymore! Hang on.....lets try a fruit pot instead...something light and easy on the stomach. Wow.....best granola, honey and fruit pot I have ever had. And the little cafe is so vibrant and serves wonderful food and drink. Fresh bread of all kinds, super salads, toasted sandwiches, fresh homemade soup. The staff are lovely, especially Racquel, the manager. It's only small but a good amount of customers are looking for takeaways and buying the bread and other goodies. It becomes a cheese and wine bar in the evening. It's situated in Bermondsey street which has to be up there as one of the best in London.
N.
Stopped in for a cheese and meat platter and a few glasses of wine - really delicious on all fronts. The wine list is great, too. And the staff are super friendly. It was a little pricey but that's kinda expected what with the artisanal offerings and location. Great for dates!
M. B.
This is such a lovely place, I never leave disappointed! Great fresh ingredients and a changing daily special menu keeps things interesting. The staff are always friendly and great at recommending their favourites.
P. P.
Went for breakfast and a coffee before a meeting nearby. I had been to the spot years ago when it just opened and in my opinion it's not as good as it was then. Decor was still great but the staff generally looks confused as to how to work together, and the coffee was average. The bacon and egg roll was slightly above average. Great roll and well cooked bacon, unfortunately the egg was overcooked.
S. W.
Good for a light drink (coffee or alcohol) and some food. The quality of both is excellent. Friendly staff
L. M.
Loved this place! Great wine and platters - the staff were lovely. Just need more space outside because it can feel really cramped sitting inside. Have had takeaway breakfast rolls from there too - can absolutely recommend :)
R. L.
Great service, and lovely brunch.
J.
Tasty food. Take out food signs could do with being larger and it’s difficult to work out what’s on offer, especially the tiny counter signs.
S. H.
Very sweet corner delly fresh products intimic vibe and very nice crew
M. M.
One of my favourite place in this street! The staff is always friendly, and each time I have been, their suggestions were perfect. Definitely a great place to catch up with a friend around a glass of wine (or a bottle! ;) with cured meat or cheeses board
l. c. e.
Great little restaurant/deli in which you can have a sandwich, fresh salad or pastries during the day or nice cheese and cured meats platters and a glass of wine during the evenings. Staff are generally friendly and it can sometimes get crowded, but it is worth it.
L. S.
Amazing place! The staff are so so friendly and the food was lovely. They serve cheese and meat platters and wine which were all great. They also had lots of cakes.
K. B.
Whether you visit in the morning, afternoon or evening this place is worth a stop off. Food delicious as is the coffee. A fab choice of wines too. Plus staff so delightful.
G. A.
A lovely cafe with good service and pleasant atmosphere. Its not big enough to be too loud but small enough to feel really cosy.
Great place for a coffee and a treat. Their espressos are nice and smooth and pastries taste lovely.
In the evening you can enjoy a glass of wine/prosecco with a sharing board of cheeses, meats and a choice of pinchos sanwiches. Honey and goats cheese was excellent.
G. S.
The coffee is to die for in this tiny though amazing place deep in the heart of historic Bermondsey St.
The counter is Harrods worthy and by all accounts does corporate and hampers.
Charcuterie looks the best in town.
D. X.
Great place to get your coffee or enjoy a glass of wine. They have lots of homemade treats, both salty and sweet. The ham and cheese croissant was very tasty!
c. w.
The perfect deli for the area. Nice coffee and wines complemented by lovely deli foods. Great ambience and very friendly service.
L. B.
I visited this place on a Friday evening with a friend and we stayed for two delicious hours sharing a couple of half platters and a bottle of red. A great selection of brushetta, bread, olives and full and half platters to choose from, they all sounded amazing and ours didn't disappoint. We had opted for the seafood and chaurcuterie and cheese. The Argentinean Merlot , served at room temperature was smooth yet full and Michael was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Prices are reasonable, the setting is rustic and stylist and there's a great buzzy vibe to the place. I'll be back.
T. K.
Just the best. Amazing staff, great food for takeaway and eating in. The brownies and chocolate they feature are worth the trip alone. Give the golden retriever who sits outside most days a pat on the head :)
N. C.
Lovely cozy and welcoming place. They have a good selection of spanish, italian and french cheeses, charcuterie and wines within an awesome and tasty range of sweet delicatessens. Great customer service, very knowledgeable and attentive. We'll definitely come back.
M. B.
Fantastic food with a super friendly and amazing team. Perfect for a long weekend brunch!
S. E.
We asked for the charcuterie platter, and specified we are intolerant to dairy. Still got feta stuffed tomatoes in it. Also, the ham was not cleaned of the rind.
Wine list was cool tho.
Staff made up in loveliness what they lacked in knowledge.
J. D.
Lovely, cosy deli with a great selection of pastries and coffee ☕
A. B.
Fantastic staff! Extremely friendly and accommodating. Small, cozy spot for good time, charcuterie, cheese. Really nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
D. B.
The best weekend brunch location on Bermondsey St (with Pique-Nuqie a close second)
A. D.
Lovely staff and good cosy place for wine. Would not recommend for groups larger than 2 or 3 because there's not much space. Will be back!
A. N.
Stopped by for a coffee and a bacon egg sandwich. It was absolutely superb. Agitated I didn’t take a photo but trust that this is so worth it!
A. S.
We chose this spot randomly but it was worth it. Very cozy little breakfast/lunch place. The avocado sandwiches were really good and the service was awesome too.
J. G.
Nothing is made in the restaurant except the salads.
We had coffee, a pain au chocolat and a croissant. The coffee was good, but both pastries tasted a few days old. Either they keep them overnight, or their supplier does, but we weren't able to eat them.
R. B.
It's a small place so sometimes space is an issue and for me I like some personal space and not to be knocked into. That said the service is great and the ambiance, food and drink simply sublime.
S. T.
A lot of people say there aren't any places to eat in London Bridge and this is where I beg people to walk 5 minutes on to Bermondsey Street and they will find sweet salvation.
B Street Deli after hours is my favourite where it becomes a wine bar with all the meats, cheese and anti pasti you could ever want. The service is friendly and knowledgeable and it is pocket friendly.
If you dont want meats and cheeses the counter is full of cakes, quiche, pies and more.
B.
Sat outside and had a really nice latte before going to the Cube gallery. Great little stop
s. s.
Lovely vibe, friendly staff, cheese and meat platter was incredible and great value for money. Had a lovely evening
l. b.
Really good service. Hard to find a table but worth waiting. The cakes are amazing and if you get a table in front of them its hard to resist ordering them all. The salted chocolate tart is really good.
A. R.
I like B Street Deli but I would love them if they could make two small improvements. Wash salad leaves more diligently as it's often pretty gritty and also put a label on each salad rather than (or as well as) on the board as this would make it easier to identify which each one was, thereby cutting out so many questions and making the line go faster. Otherwise, it's all good.
T.
Great food, fantastic salads. Had the scotch egg with a mushroom, spinach and salmon salad and a slaw salad. Will definitely try and swing by again.
S. S.
Average little cafe with decent salads. The staff appear overworked and are not so knowledgable if you ask them anything about the charcuterie. The pastries are sub par. There are a few seats, the location is fantastic and dogs are welcome.
J. R.
Fantastic. Great service. Delicious sweets - we had the chocolate fondant and the lemon cake with a New Zealand coffee. Wonderful chillaxed atmosphere.
J. W.
Just a great, relaxed place with great staff. We had wine and light food and were impressed. Has a cosy, rustic and local feel.
S. A.
Amazing selection of fresh food that keeps me coming back over and over. A far cry from almost every other lunch place in the area.
A must if you're looking for somewhere above the norm
P. R.
Great food and selection of wines and beers. Cozy, familiar and 'alternative' atmosphere, at once. Staff incredibly kind.
I. R.
Small but cosy deli in Bermondsey. Quality of food is great but a but overall I would say slightly overpriced. Staff was not particularly friendly, the waitress serving us was indeed a bit surly. Overall good experience.
B. S.
Fantastic place, outstanding service and great food and drinks selection
J. J.
Amazing salads to choose from for lunch! Nice spot for a bite or coffee. It has also free wifi
D. M. V. N.

Stopped for a quick breakfast and enjoyed a lovely bacon and avocado Ciabatta a sandwich. Lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff too.
A. N.
Wonderful place for an evening with a friend or two. The owners are always happy to recommend a wine, and the cheeseboard is one of the best in London
Y. V.
Lovely small deli shop & restaurant in Bermondsey street. Lots of good wine, lots of good cheese, lots of good charcuterie. Awesome staff.
I. D.
Great selection of wine, cured meats, cheese and olives. My sister and I completely lost track of time here while very much enjoying ourselves.

Great little Spanish deli. Healthy food and lovely wine well priced

Great carribean vibe, awesome vegan cake (though most options aren't, thats ok) and friendly staff.
C.
Cosy little place, perfect for a glass of wine and some nibbles. Excellent quality.
P. S.
It's not just about the cheese here, it's also about the wine, the salted caramel brownies & the every single one of the lunchtime salads. MMMM! I'm hungry just thinking about it.

Love this place !
R. D.
Nice sandwiches
J. V.
Nice vibe, but they ran out of wine glasses and just served our wine in tumblers. Considering I paid £30 for two glasses of wine and two small cakes, I expected it to be served correctly. Or asked before if I would be ok with them not served in wine glasses.
D. J. M. L.
Excellent service! Fast and friendly stuff. The pastries are delicious and they have an awesome cheese platter. Plus great ambiance indoors and outdoors. The latte was also tasty

(Translated) If you want to have a brunch in a trendy and British atmosphere, I recommend this place. Fresh food and quality, you are served quickly on weekends, but a little less during the week if you stay on the spot. Rates are honest in relation to the quality offered. On the other hand, there is little space available inside or out, but you can still take it away.
Very good address if you stay in the area.
(Original)
