Very good brunch, I enjoyed the food, poached eggs with English muffin were perfect, the toast with quinoa and hallomoi cheese was really delicious. I highly recommend and I am going to visit again. What I didn’t like is adding 12.5% gratuity which should be left for the guest to add or not.

Im a regular customer that comes for brunch every now and then with my partner. During weekends the place gets very busy for brunch time. Staff are always running around inside and outside but the service is always good, attentive to customers. I have tried most of their brunch menu which everything is good. Plating and food very pretty. I am obsessed with the quinoa bruschetta which I have been recently ordering every-time I go. Also their coffee’s is very nice. Prices is reasonable but you pay what you get. I really recommend it.

An atmospheric and aesthetic place with quite high-priced food, but delicious options. I love their concept of bringing dishes that are inspired from cultures around the world. The togarashi chicken doughnut sounded pleasing as it had a mix of Japanese and Korean spices embedded into the burger from the togarashi chilli and gochujang sauce - a nice addition for my East Asian roots, haha. The bun was fluffy with the chicken offering that crispy crunch and that spicy kick which was just about bearable for me. Strawberry and banana smoothie offered a subtle banana taste. It could have been blended properly as there was liquid that remained un-blended. Overall, service was good with friendly staff

Ordered the vegan pancakes with banana and asked for berries too so £1 for less than half a cup of berries. It came with maple syrup, they served not enough and it was fairly stodgy maple syrup so didn't flow around, asked for some more, got charged another £1... For what claims to be a "high end" restaurant they don't have charge you for small additions which any other restaurant I've eaten in would have given gratis. The good thing was the size of the stack, but should try harder with topping portions.

Bruchetta with quinoa, avocado and halloumi was tasty. Larger portion than expected. Berry smoothie was really watery which was disappointing. But staff and service were great. I had an hour free today so i decide to invest this time having a brunch in Balans. The waiter (let's call him Al) was working outside and as soon he see me he give me the menu and told me to choose a free table. On my opinion wasn't 'professional' but he follow me very well during the service, so I cannot complaint. It was a little bit busy so I understand the decision. I order a Green Tea and a smoked salmon brunch option. Tap water arrive exactly 20 second after they took my order, and tea about a minute after. Really efficient and really good team working. Congrats. Dish arrive to me after 4 minutes. Again really efficient the service. About the food : a half avocado (not sliced) served with some sliced smoked salmon, a big portion of scramble egg, a lemon and a slice of bread toasted with a cube of butter on top. I don't like the aspect and the position of the single ingredients on the plate. Thinking about you're eating in Westfield, I don't know why but I expect something that seemed more appetising; wasn't like that. Probably the price I paid for make me think this as well. About the taste, everything was great. I really enjoyed the food, I found hard to spread the butter on the toast cause with the hottest of bread the butter melted but nothing too exaggerate. I give 4 stars for 2 reasons : the price (on my opinion the price is little too high for what you eat but again : WESTFIELD) and the aspect of dish. Thinking about timing, in an hour : I order, eat and have 35 minutes for enjoying my tea. Funny note : Wasn't a very cold day, but just after I finish to eat, the other waiter turn on the heater on my side. Again nothing to complain about , but I enjoyed my time more with the heather on. Another Funny Note : Salt it is in a little glass bottle and I found this a little bit weird. It's look like an illegal substance.

So got here me my mate after a nice walk only reason we're going because he had loads of points so he said anyway got seated nicely and received our menus. The lobster Benedict I never had it before it was lovely if anything I would say can I get a little bit more lobster next time, but was nice hollandaise sauce poached egg avocado bacon. I was quite happy. my friend had a little bit of metal that she would get from a Brillo pad in his full English, he handled it quite well and even say to tell the chief to check to see where this is possibly getting in. We got the coffees for free as a result. We decided to split the bill earlier, we told the server to split between us, I ended up paying a large share because he didn't listen and I like a fool didn't decide to see that you understood what we meant but then call himself halfway during the process of the transaction. But I will remember his face. 😁 But as I think about it I paid over £20 my friend paid over £14 the coffees with free because of the mistakes in the kitchen possibly my friend was £11 and mine was £17 hmmmmmm, something feels off.

Brilliant experience! Brought a youth group here for an end-of-year social and it couldn't have been better! The staff were so accommodating and welcoming - Diego was our waiter and he bent over backwards making sure our experience was good. I've been to Balans a couple times before but this experience really showed me what a great place it is. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was nice to take the group of children and young people to a restaurant they'd never been to before. Thank you, Balans East!

Friendly staff and food arrived quite quickly. Very warm and cozy atmosphere however the prices for food was a little steep for what you get. But when it did arrive it was really tasty and filling. Would recommend the ham and cheese croquettes!

Booked a table of 12 for my mum in laws 91st birthday. We had a fantastic night. The food was fresh and excellently cooked and the atmosphere was great. But a special mention to our waitress Adilina, she was amazing. So polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A credit to Balans and we hope to come back soon! We visited Balans, Stratford on a Saturday morning for brunch and had a lovely experience! At arrival, the place was fairly busy but staff quickly found a table for us. The waiter who served us was very polite and responsive, which we appreciated! We ordered two coffees, an egg dish and berry pancakes. Both dishes were amazing, in particular the latter! 😋The pancakes were wonderfully presented, richly decorated with maple syrup and fresh crunchy berries. The vanilla aftertaste was an absolute dream! I would 100% recommend ordering this dish if you have a sweet tooth, like I do! Overall, amazing experience. I can't wait to be back!

I moved to London less than a week ago, and have already been here 4 times for their all day breakfast. I get scrambled eggs on toast and a tropical smoothie every time, it's delicious (and also the BEST hangover cure). The staff seems really lovely and my food always comes quickly. The place has a really comfy vibe and isn't often busy so it's a nice place to have a moment to yourself.

I've literally been coming to this Balans for 10 years. Even with gaps inbetween visits, the staff never fail to recognise you and always give you a warm welcome! The food and the signature cocktails will not fail to disappoint you. Many times, I've asked for a substitution of a particular ingredient and they happily accommodate and I've never had a cocktail I can bever finish. I visited yesterday as they've just opened back up after lockdown and I was impressed with the pretty outdoor area complete with heaters. It reminded me how much I've missed a good cocktail in a lovely atmosphere. Without a doubt, I choose Balans everytime!

Love the concept of the food, the staff are such a lovely bunch, and speak so many languages, service holds steady at an average of ten minutes per plate which despite what other reviews say is absolutely fine. Concepts are great (if you don't mind your carbs too much) and the food is nice and fresh, defo pop by the bar to get a nice drink as well, all in all the kind of place you can spend hours in.

A fantastic experience a week ago @ Balans Westfield Stratford for the first time with business partners food / quality/ service it’s outstanding. I was so much happy to finally find an excellent service level and customer care beyond which goes beyond expectation for this my credit to Diego who truly impressed us with his excellent command of customer service and communication skills. As we often says people make the difference and Diego did it we came back this week end with my wife and son as really wanted them to experience Balans and they also were quite impressed. Thanks Diego keep up the good work and thanks to the Team!

The food was excellent; I got the steak and eggs for a breakfast offering. The steak was a perfect medium rare as requested and well seasoned. Portion was a reasonable size, though a little smaller than some as they did not add much to the side. Service, on the other-hand, was not good: I had to wait about 10 minutes after my waiter cleared my table to get me the bill, and once he brought it, it took another 5 to come back and scan my card. To top it off, he did not refill my water despite it being empty from the time I got my food until the time I left.

I had a good experience here. The restaurant is quite small, but sits about 30 to 40 people comfortably. The menu is unusual as it doesn't include a formal starter, main, and dessert, but a combination and assortment of dishes that one can choose from. I went with a group for a birthday meal, and I must say that the food was delicious. I ordered chickpeas with halloumi and pitta bread. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a filling meal at an affordable price.

Absolutely cracking breakfast. My wife had the duck and I had the full English. My wife said that it was "possibly the best breakfast she has ever had". My young teenage daughter had kedgeree of all things - delightful again. The potatoes with the full English were exceptional (cooked with chilli) - amazing. If you want a decent breakfast in Westfield Stratford - go here! You can eat al fresco - even in the rain - they have heaters to keep you warm in the colder months

My way better half suggested we eat here as she had been before, after checking out the menu outside the restaurant and seeing pancakes and bacon on the menu, I agreed. Restaurant had nice decor with random objects thrown all over the wall with no connection to anything, much like those hipster cafes you may see in Shoreditch or Camden. Staff were friendly and on point, Alfie our server was a pleasure. Food was nice, the pancakes were soaked in an over generous amount of syrup, I would have preferred to have been able to add as much or as little syrup as I wanted as it was a starting to get a little sickly, but alas to each their own. I still enjoyed it.

Always go here for brunch. Favourite is the "High Society Eggs Benedict", along with the Pancakes. Food is delicious, portions are generous, service is super friendly and goes out of their way to find space if you happen to not have a reservation (or like in my case - accidentally booked a different location). Love this place for breakfast or any time throughout the day to be honest. The atmosphere is cosy and often bustling. The food and coffee is great. All my clients that I bring here to eat enjoy it. The only negative is the cost which is a touch on the high side even with the members discount.

Location is very nice. It’s busy . Perfect if you are alone or have company. They serve eggs all day. Had egg white only scrambled with cheese and herbs. Was ok. Nothing fancy just like anything you’d make at home . The club sandwich was ok too. Food was not bad but it wasn’t wow either . French toast was good. Make sure you order extra berries for 2 pounds cause the order comes dry with like one strawberry and half or quarter a banana 😅. Service is not wow either and waiters can get rude at times but probably cause they are really busy.

Lovely place to stop off for a drink or a bite in Stratford away from the hustle and bustle of Westfield. Lovely selection of wine and nibbles. The brunch here is also excellent and they cater for gluten free diets.

That was my second time in Balans, I think the first time was about 3 years ago. Waw, they really modernized the place! Staff was very attentive, the service was great. It's a great place for brunch - even though it is a shopping mall - but the eggs benedict were delicious. If you still have room for dessert, you should try the pancakes - they are American style, thick with maple syrup and berries.

The service team at this Balans have really stepped up to another level. They really have knowledge of their ingredients and can help out a person with various intolerances, they are great with kids (portions and service) and they are always willing to help get you a good space. Really great pancakes, breakfasts, burgers, mains and whilst not even pretending to be one of the cheaper places in Westfield you really get a great atmosphere of elegant lifestyle hanging out here.
