Nice little place for a brunch. Location wise it’s alright, not the greatest of views but very convenient next to Westfield. I went for the lobster Benedict which was nice but the lobster was a tad overcooked. Nice combination with the avocado and bacon though. Service was friendly and fast, and they had nice coffee

Came here for breakfast and dinner with friends 🥘 food was very tasty with many options. I had the pancakes for breakfast and they were nice, only issue is that the berries were only a fee and I had to pay £1 extra for bananas. Also had the rib eye steak for dinner and it was superb especially the sauce! Highly recommend it. Its also halal which is great! 🍹 Nice coffee and had coke 👩‍💼 Staff are super nice and friendly! They’re efficient and quick

Great food, just a little pricey. Had steak and eggs for breakfast and the stuff was tough because it was a cheap cut but the flavors were good. Also had American pancakes and asked for maple syrup. They said it comes with maple syrup but it was clearly golden syrup. Still a very decent place to eat.

It's a nice place, nice service. We had breakfast and it was moderate considering the price. Portions are small and probably the worst gluten free bread! Rather than this it's just acceptable.

Outdoor seating at the moment which is good. Not all the restaurants around here offer that. They have some outdoor heating above the tables as well if it gets cold. So good to know for next time. Staff were friendly and the food was decent too.. they have all day breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Will definitely come back.

The vegan pancakes were rather doughy, the lattes were good. Not sure if I would go again but it is good for large groups.

Having recently introduced Halal beef and chicken to their exciting, eclectic menu, Balans in Westfield London impressed with both their vision and cookery, as well as the procedures put in place to avoid cross-contamination between dishes. In fact, we were told: "We treat [the Halal dishes] as if dealing with in similar way to avoiding allergy cross-contamination [sic]." The menu has everything one could hope for really, with most dishes we tried being executed with precision and skill, including the Steak & Two Eggs Any Way; High Society Lobster Benedict; Togarashi Buttermilk Chicken Doughnut; Chicken Enchiladas; and the Warm Doughnuts. As for the few dishes that contain bacon, Balans would do even better to consider having equivalent ingredients to hand, in this case, good quality Halal Turkey bacon. With other restaurants having accommodated for such alternatives, this would be far better than simply opting for their removal, particularly when such ingredients are often critical to the overall balance of the dish. Having said that though, Balans is an impressive establishment and a definite consideration if you're in and around Westfield London, and looking for something truly varied at one location. I went to the Balans in Soho and Westfield and I love their menu. The red curry rice and chicken is amazing and the croquettes! This time we went to have brunch and it was really good (although the steak should me medium rare and it was actually well cooked). Good coffee and service!

My usual go to spot for breakfast/brunch. I go here quite a lot, but something I always notice is the customer service is quite mediocre. The staff seem standoffish. When it comes to customising your food (no mushroom, 1 egg scrambled and another sunny side up) they always say no. For a place with prices like this it would be appreciated if you could have your food the way you’d like it. Other than that a good range of food on the menu so there’s something for everyone.

Great place to eat when visiting Westfield. Plenty of seating. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was delicious if a little expensive . Toilets were clean. Seating outside seemed nice but has to be shared with the smokers. Definitely worth the visit and will probably come back.

Very good place to visit if you want food, drinks and outdoor seating. Service is okay. Not the best but I've defo had worse, they're cheerful enough and do try to accommodate with a smile.. inside is well spaced out and the outside is well decorated with outdoor heating. Good for a lunch date or for some drinks in the evening. Always busy and the food is well cooked - I had the lamb neck with crispy Kale. Very nice & tender.. I had a Mango Mule mocktail which didn't taste too bad but was slightly on the thick side! Balans is well worth a visit - and I love the little matches they provide lol

I ordered the club sandwich special. bit on the expensive side but well worth it, in fact, one of the best I have ever eaten. Culinary jackpot. also I loved their brand of loose leaf earl grey. First time here for brunch, ordered our drinks no problem, a bit of a wait to order our food. When ordering the full English one of our party wanted fried eggs, only one not two and something else replaced. We were told you can only make a limited number of substitution? They are happy to take something of but not replace it. The waitress said, "I know it sounds like it does", (I assume she meant it sounds ridiculous). Anyhow, first time here, the American is good, but might just stick to Bill's restaurant, - it's always good!

Overall a quite positive experience. The chicken with the mushed potatoes was good and not too expensive, if it would have been any more expensive, it would have been too expensive. Fish and chips were too expensive in my opinion, costing 15£, but the fish was good, unlike the potatoes, which were just ok. The steak was good, but again, the potatoes weren't anything special.

I Came about two weeks ago to visit baluns shepherds bush. I have been to most of them in london and this one was by far the nicest service of all balans. The lady who served us was young and she had just started (Dark skinnned, london accent, sorry about the vague descriotion ..i didnt get her name). She was very bubbly and helped us with our order. in comparrison to the waitress i expierienced in soho she was very kind. The food was very nice, especially the chciken with avocado rice. i ordered the fish and thought it was okay but could use more flavour. the drinks where very sweet but nice enough. we got th ehappy hour cocktails which are reasonably priced. all round good meal and better service.

I would normally rate higher but the Mango Mule mocktail tasted like a lumpy, sour cucumber smoothie, and I couldn't taste the cheese or bacon on my burger (although I did get a few bitter mouthfuls from the over-toasted bun). Also very disappointed with potato wedges, even more so later on when I saw other people getting actual chips. And the condiments/sauce bottles were sticky. Service friendly and a nice place overall, but very unlucky with my order. The bill (for a basic burger and a rubbish mocktail) was the final kick in the teeth.

Food was decent, can be a great brunch place but I am upset with the service.. slow, clumsy and to an extent dishonest.. we used the eat out to help out 50%off on food scheme and they didn’t deduct the full £20 off our bill.. on quizzing them about it they didn’t give an appropriate, rationale answer nor did they change the bill.. I am never picky about such petty things but it just felt really cheated and dishonest.. :( Update as the owner misunderstood my feedback: our food spend total was £41 but the discount wasn’t a full £20 (which is a max for 2 people). The waitress brushed it saying the 50% is per dish which also doesn’t make any sense!

After many years going to Balans my love for the company has gone ! Was in the white city branch yesterday for dinner , I had a Roast beef dinner and it was terrible ! The meat was so tough I gave up eating it , also the plate and the food was cold . It's not good that this company has got it so wrong . The 3 stars I have given aren't for the food but the fantastic waiters that work in the restaurant, the German girl is a great asset to your company such a shame she had to hear negative feedback from me especially when she is doing a great job .

The tomato sauce was delicious and together with the potatoes and Parmesan they gave a special touch. I tried an espresso martini for the first time and found it delicious. The price is somewhat higher than what I am used to but the atmosphere, the quality of the service and the great taste of the food deserve it. Highly recommended.
