Food is delicious. But bao itself is relatively small, so it is better to take two of them.
We took one bao with pork and lemon mayo it looked and tasted fantastic.
We enjoyed sweet potato as well

I read some reviews about Bao Bar and their famous horlicks ice cream bao. I wasn’t disappointed as this bao tasted amazing! Location close enough to London Fields for you to takeaway and sit down to eat. It was 3 degrees and having the ice cream pao was such an incredible experience. Would order again in future when I am around this area.

Small place where you sit around a bar, service was slow for us, but the food made up for it. The original pork bao and beef bao were delicious. The crispy chicken also has the authentic Taiwanese fried batter, but wish you could add some spice to it.

The best meal ever since lockdown! Impressed by the speed and freshening of the products! I even try to call them to say thank you but couldn't find the number!! Thank you so much to all the team that put the effort on this meal!

The food was delicious (and great for vegetarians!) the staff were really friendly and being so small and having the place just to our group made the event particularly special, would highly recommend.

Nice baos! But I really think the sizes should be bigger considering they are 5 quids apiece.

Small bao but lots of good filling and sauces, however service was a bit slow.

Incredibly delicious food — absolutely adore the Mapo tofu 🥰

Delicious and authentic, but prohibitively expensive. Tiny sandwich and a kick in the teeth for so called affordable street food.

Always brilliant and flavourful in substance, but tend to run out of what you're looking forward to.
Small buns, but decent filling, good stuff.

Aside from the market, they now have an outlet on 53 Lexington Street.
Pros:
Ordered the Classic, Lamb Shoulder (highly recommended) and Confit Pork. I enjoyed the lamb shoulder the most that had a slight minty taste to it. The BAOs (buns) were super soft and fluffy.
If you are feeling a little adventurous you should try the Pig Blood Cake, would say it is an acquired taste.
Please order the Fried Horlicks Ice Cream, you won't even want to share it!
Cons:
Appreciate the cute compact setting on but the interior space is pretty limited. Suitable for singles and couples, not quite a good setting for people with large groups (anything more than 4).
Due the limited space, it's not stroller friendly. Also there are staffs walking in and out with hot food it's probably not very suitable if you have an active kid. Also not a place you'd stick around for too long.
Quite a queue during lunch and dinner hours. Upon arrival you'd think there isn't a queue but there would be one opposite the shop with a little BAO sign to indicate the queue line.
Price: Friendly :)

Rice Error has been a little slice of heaven during lockdown. Delicious Taiwanese fried chicken. Fluffy Bao. Crunchy pomelo. And then my fave Horlicks ice cream to finish 😍 yum. And the rice error postcard was a great touch too!

Yesterday we were excitedly waiting for another great meal but there was a mistake with our order. Happy to say everyone was helpful in sorting out the issue. Thank you!

These are called 'Gwah Bao' in Taiwan and are very popular and commonly found as street food is all over the place there. Having visited there many times due to my wife coming from Taipei, I can safely say that these are authentic Gwah Bao. Well the classic is, the other variation are the stalls own. Why 3 stars, because they are extremely small!! Probably less then half size a real one, which makes them at £4 a piece prohibitively expensive. Good for a try or a test from home if my wife, but too much to be a regular customer for me. Do try it though, and go to Taiwan if you get the chance.

Had to queue for 35 mins but was so worth it! In a rush to go to the theatre and after explaining, the waitress ensured food came out within a few minutes, 7 dishes within about 10 minutes! All amazing, would 100% go again

Tasty bao. Think they only serve the classic bao here. Staff are friendly.
Be prepared to wait for your bao as the queue tends to be quite long on Saturdays. Their iced tea is also delicious.
Be prepared to go next doors for toilets as there aren't any in this market.

Very tasty baos, expecially with vibrant flavours and colours of the pickled radishes and cucumber. There's a slight heat to some of the baos which is interesting and pleasant.

This place does the most amazing bao, fried chicken and tasty rice boxes. Best food on Netil Market!

These are delicious and never disappoint. Would give 5 star but for the fact that their popularity means there is often quite a long wait.

Daikon Bao was delicious and so was the fried chicken! Highly recommend

Still the best place to have the Taiwanese bao in London. Recommend both the pork buns and fried chicken. Yum!

This has become a new Saturday ritual for us. Vegetarian or carnivore you will not be disappointed ;-) thanks Bao

This place cannot be missed. I have been leaving around the corner for a year and when the stall is open, I HAVE to stop for a bao. This is like a drug.
J. L.
Simply one of the most delicious things you can put in your mouth. If you miss them here, they've now opened a permanent restaurant in SOHO.

Great staff. I tried the pork bun and fried chicken. I enjoyed it but wasn't my favourite bun.

Super Delicious Bao Bar, the kiosk is very nice.
My recommendation is to take sit and eat bao here.

Daikon Bao and fried chicken pieces. Absolutely delicious!

Sister bar to the permanent Soho restaurant. The baos are beautiful and addictive.

The food is very nice, but they forgot to pack the sweet potato fries into the bag. It’s better to check that everything is packed in before you go…

(Translated) Put away? Because it is so popular, it has already found another place in the city center to open a shop.

收起來了?因為太受歡迎,已經在市中心另外找地方開店了。

(Translated) I ate a signboard and I have never tasted it so delicious in Taiwan!

吃了個招牌,在台灣都沒吃過這麼好吃的!
