Amazing place where you can have a fine dining and a great outdoor area with amazing night life atmosphere. And cherry on the cake you get an amazing view on the shard, this place was 💯 and I loved the fairy lights decorations.

Mid week, farewell drink and a bite! Reasonably quiet, well organised for covid measures, drinks ordered by app, brought to the table. Outside venue on a cold January night, but under cover with heaters was as comfortable as possible. Pizzas to the table, actually quite tasty! Great for a mid week stop, close to London Bridge and stumble back to the train. Give it a go!

I absolutely love this place! Great outdoor heated area. Always buzzing and lively, recommend booking a table in advance but they do however have a few spares if you don't. Both outdoor smoking and non smoking areas. The Margaritas 🍹 are absolutely delicious and dangerous 🤣 this is our venue of choice for work drinks and we always have a fun night. When the Margaritas get too much you can order yummy pizzas to your table which go down a treat. The staff are always very friendly.

We found this terasse space in summer and this is so pretty and lovely for a drink outside with friends. You can book a table and order drinks from the online menu. It was fast and just very nice for chilling when warm outside. I would recommend!

The garden is really nice. It's a little pricy but I guess it is central London. The food menu is weirdly fussy and specific in the sense that you can only get certain foods at certain times, but the food is nice. Overall would definitely recommend

We reserved an area of the garden at BBK for a joint 30th party, and it was absolutely perfect. Laura helped us organise the event and was so responsive and accommodating, and made sure that everything was as it should be on the day. The food was excellent, service great and atmosphere even better. Highly recommend!

We had our Christmas party here on Friday and couldnt recommend the place enough! The venue and staff are so lovely and the food was incredible. We got so much sides with our main meal and after we were finished eating we are able to stay until closing time so we didnt feel like we were rushed at all and could enjoy the night. Also the outdoor seating area is equally as nice. Would highly recommend :)

Large space, definitely helpful if you haven’t made any plans and need somewhere to go for a beer with friends. Location is also convenient for people coming from East and West. Definitely fun atmosphere but they could do with more heaters easily - we had to leave because it got so cold (beginning of May...). Beer selection very limited but decent. More dishes to share would also be helpful since groups are what BBK targets most. Pizzas looked good!

Descent food, however the Taco Tuesday only has one taco which wasn't actually a taco, it was more of a ceviche. Would be great if they offered a variety of tacos, the promotion is a bit misleading. Great atmosphere though, very busy, takes a while to get served ... but then again it is as I said busy. Worth visiting if you like drinking and want some food to soak it up. Large outside space and the inside space is quite nice.

Staff was very nice and helpful, quick to be served (kitchen was almost closing), we appreciated they served us tap water without need to ask for it. Great place to come during COVID-19 times. Huge outdoor area, covered and very well heated (took my coat and fleece off once under the heater - one per table). Amazing pizza (counts as substantial if you want to drink as much as I did). In normal times, still a super trendy and cool place to come with friends and work colleagues. Absolutely recommend.

I will start with the positives: great burger! The meat was excellent and so were the supporting ingredients (the lettuce was super tasty and really accompanying the burger). But the chips were disappointing. Something you d get at a chicken shop. I d expect more than that here. Then they don’t have any mustard (curious if the manager has waged war against the yellow stuff) or Tabasco/hot sauces. Finally the service was bordering on rude. 3 stars maybe about right if not generous.

My friend and I had a pretty nice brunch experience there even it was on a late morning on a Thursday. The staff were quite busy for bigger tables so we waited for a bit. The interior was simple but nice, I always like big windows. Their the food was very nice, extra generous portion too. I loved my strawberry and coconuts pancake so much while my friend probably preferred his sourdough slice with tasty topping over mine. Being prepared to wait might be necessary in this place, but it is still a nice place to visit. Since it opens all day from breakfast to dinner coming here in off-peak time offers much nicer experiences.

Bermondsey Bar and Kitchen is a great bar on Bermondsey Street. Situated in a large venue which used to be a BBC underground car park, it has a large inside and outside area. The interiors don an industrial look with a large open plan layout. The outside area has lots of seating, cute fairy lights and pretty signage to add a bit of character. We stopped by for a drink outside on a sunny day and had 2 x Pimms and a beer (£21). Whilst, it is not the cheapest place to drink in Bermondsey, it has a great atmosphere. The bar offers all day dining focusing on modern British cuisine which has been designed by the current head chef James Donnelly. They offer themed nights in the week and Sunday roasts. Looking forward to trying them soon!

Went here for a Christmas lunch with my team, food and service was mediocre. Some of us had roasted fish, plaice, apparently, but the fish was not all the same so not sure what we had, it was complete with bone. Normally in restaurants they ask you if everything is ok, but not here. The servers did not have their long hair tied up and every time they bent down to put a plate of food down their hair went into the food. Not good, they were told but did not make any changes. The food might be better for a normal meal, less the hair of course.

What a lovely find, slighty hidden by london bridge. Im sure the locals and workers have found this place as there was a lovely buzz and atmosphere here. Firstly the staff are brilliant and very welcoming (doff my hat to you all). This is a nice, open, friendly and inviting open plan layout type of restaurant. Very modern look and aesthetic, but cosy. The menu was nice with seasonal options, with several items sure to peak your taste buds. I also liked that the menu was not to large and had a clear style. I should also mention the nice wine list which had a couple of goods matches to the food menu. The service was speedy and the overall price for a couple of soft drinks, coffees and main all for about £20 was a nice surprise given the location.

Medium size venue with a very large yard with seating. Was very busy when we arrived and service was taking a beating! We sat and wait a while, but I think it was all worth it when our food arrived! Lamb and the Hake was amazing, give them a pass if it's busy!

I think that it is a nice place if you want to come for drinks and to see a Euro Cup match as it is the case today but, not necessarily a place for a Sunday brunch as we did this morning. The table was still sticky from beer of the night before, it took us a long while to get our food and coffees as well + it isn't necessarily very comfortable and all. Overall, not a bad place but, it really depends for what you are trying to go (in my view).

Impressed with the size and seating arrangement of this place. Large seating arrangements - perfect for big groups or office socials. They even do pizzas and food which is a brilliant to meet for drinks and catchup. Easy access to London bridge station - about 5 mins by walk from the main station. Ample space available. Only challenge was that service is a bit slow - might be a good idea to pre-order to start with. Although they are managing with online menu, it would have been better if they had an easy access app to order with.

It's a decent outdoor space in a good location near London Bridge, handy for meet ups with large groups (and all seems very 'COVID safe'). Unfortunately were only able to order via the app from your table rather than go to bar, and it mostly took a long time for drinks to come out. Would be better to have both bar and table service options. Also last orders at 10pm and kicking out at 10.30 on a Thursday in London is crazy!

Probably one of the best atmospheres for the price in London. The service was slow but the servers were all friendly. The prices were extremely reasonable so for budget friendly students this is a place to be. The girl at the front box that let people in was really rude - I was kind of surprised if I am honest. The food wasn't that great - I ordered the falafal wrap. Otherwise really good experience for the price and atmosphere.

BBK's motto ought to be "embrace the chaos" -- the speed of service, while friendly and well meaning, never seems to be the same from one visit to the next and successfully ordering and obtaining food never seems something short of an adventure. In a dull and monotonous life however, this is not necessarily a flaw. The drink selection is decent and the cocktails are good. The food menu has its stars (buffalo chicken burger, my beloved) but the pizza is one to be avoided. The massive outdoor space is a clear highlight, even if it does get a bit too loud when the place is busy.

We went as a group of 6 on Saturday afternoon and sat outside. The tables are rightly spaced apart with staff providing instructions on ordering , seeing menu to ensure social distancing. There’s a private bike rack for customers who cycle in, which is great! They will be getting cover and heaters for open air seating through cooler months- nice option for sitting inside. Staff all cheerful and helpful. Decent menu and service speed was excellent. They stopped a group of 7 right away. Would def visit this venue again.

Have been here twice. The food is excellent, but unfortunately they are consistently let down by slow/inattentive service. The first time I went was a couple of years ago. Loved the place, our waitress was fun and great. The most recent time I went in, we were immediately found a table which was great, but we then waited 10+ minutes for someone to come and remind us of the desserts on offer (because they have no menu??!!) and take our order. 30+ minutes later and we still had nothing. It was only when I checked with the wait staff about where our desserts were that the waitress brought us spoons and soon after the desserts arrived. We requested the service to be removed because it was such a long time to wait. It’s a shame because they people are nice, the place is great and has a wonderful ambience but the service is not great. There seems to be a lot of hanging around chatting near the till rather than serving the customers. The 4 stars are for the food. You can do better Yard Cafe!

Was here on Saturday night having a great night bar staff were really good and friendly. The security guards however let the place down very unprofessional don't seem to understand the one way system and when questioned about it get very aggressive. Working in hospitality I understand the difficulties dealing with drunk customers but they need to be better trained in dealing with situations.

I've been here several times now and I feel it's only fair to leave a review, due to the effort of the delightful team. I’ve been for drinks with clients, met friends after work and I've even been here on a date. The team are amazing and make a great venue, an easy location to unwind. I have to give a shout out to the chef, the menu delivers to both the carnivore and vegetarian in me. Keep up the good work team.

I work remotely and recently moved to the Bermondsey area and came across this venue. The inside bar / restaurant is open plan and has a lovely airy feel to it. I camped out happily for most of the day, mainly due to their decent coffee. I did not eat this time but the food looked good, so I will give it a go on my next visit.

Lovely bar with great burgers and pizzas from the outdoor grill and a stunning restaurant within! The bouncer was also a really nice bloke who looked after my wife while I was at the bar and a random guy started questioning her! It turned out to be innocent but hey, it was great observational skills and good work from the bouncer! The bar outside is a little slow at service (There seemed to be only one tender, a oncologist and the chef) The staff were pleasant enough though! Safe and enjoyable evening was had!

The service overshadowed the food being nice and arriving hot and the atmosphere. I don't feel the wait staff was very attentive, sometimes it felt like we were putting them out by making orders. I've been here a few times as work locally. Food is always great but it's not cheap! Drinks are outrageously priced, even for the area. £7.50 for the cheapest medium size glass of wine?! Nice for an evening meal but you'll make quite a dent if coming for an evening of drinks.

I've been here for a Christmas lunch and for my birthday / NYE. Both times, all staff have been attentive and friendly. The is a range of ingredients in each dish which left me feeling happy and satisfied. I'm a fan of the cod, samphire and clams. All in all I think it's good value for money and will be back.

Was here for the Bermondsey street festival, excelent music mix, heard even a cool mix of The doors, unbelievable good, did try to find the tracks on Shazam but no success. Price of the food is expensive for something called tapas or paella and couldn't see the difference between the two of them(food quality is good, don't expect the Spanish one'). Prepare to stay plenty of time at the cue if you want to buy a drink,even if they have 2 spots to sell, one inside and one outside at the back, get the beer jugs to save you the hussle. Ladies get only the spirits if you don't want to spend unlimited time waiting for the toilets cue to end. Men be prepare for nightmare too at the toilet. .Be polite and don't drink exactly at the bar as people are blocking unnecessary that area or go only one person at the cue for an order not 3-4 for the same one.Makes life easier for everybody.Still worth to go with all this

An industrial and raw looking restaurant/bar with exposed brick walls serving good beers and expensive food. A hip but nice vibe which provides a good service, even for larger tables; were present when you'd expect but not overly so. The food was largely okay - I wasn't blown away with inventive dishes instead there was an array safe dishes, which I would say was broadly over-priced and under-sized. The desserts partly redeemed the mains. It is not a bad place, but personally I'd be unlikely to return unless it was just for drinks.

Had a work party around the back recently. Atmosphere was great and drinks were good. Not the cheapest place but not many places in London are. They cook fresh pizza in the bar at the back which were awesome. Some of he other food was a little strange. Battered and fried broccoli, courgette and sweet potato are a little strange. The food is excellent - a well thought out menu with superb British produce from well chosen suppliers. I went for weekend brunch and has a superb full English, with pretty much everything you could as for!

As went on Saturday, it was very busy and therefore the service was slow and the atmosphere a bit chaotic. Nothing the bar staff could have done about that, and they dealt with the situation professionally. But it's worth flagging in case you are after a relaxing brunch on Saturdays.
