Reviews of Bill's Covent Garden (St Martin's Courtyard)
J. F.
Really nice breakfast and in a great location. The staff were really accommodating and allowed me to swap out some items for others. Staff were very helpful and friendly. And I was able to use my blue light discount. Really recommend this restaurant.
F. G.
The best place i have tried in London.
The breakfast was delicious and fresh.
The coffee was uniquely perfect.
Staffs were so polite and helpful.
Their service was so fast.
And i was one happy customer.
D. M.
The place is nicely decorated, very fresh style. We ordered 2 steaks, the sirloin with salad was really tasty and juicy but the other steak was a bit tin and dry, not the best. The prices are okay for Central London, the staff was friendly so overall was a nice experience.
Z. F.
Great customer service from the waiters; they were speedy and attentive. The burger was tasty but honestly it was too messy! Too much filling so I personally wouldn’t recommend the buttermilk chicken burger.
K. L.
Wonderful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I stopped by for breakfast last week, and we were not disappointed. The offerings, plating, food and customer service were outstanding. The next time we are in the Covent Gardens area again, we will visit this restaurant again.
C. D.
Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, the food was alright, looked immaculate when served to us but we found all the fried foods to be very dry. Burger was the exception, as you can see it was divine! The drinks let them down as the cocktails were a tad watery, and one member of the staff was particularly grumpy when we brought this to her attention. Bit snappy too. Overall decent but felt uncomfortable, hence the 3 stars.
D. H.
I enjoyed the vegan maple parsnip soup. My friend's mac n cheese was a little cold. Beautiful venue & friendly staff. Would like to visit again to try more of the vegan options
T. U.
Can't go wrong with BILL. Always good food. I felt sorry for the staff as the restruabt was pack cus it December time but despite stress they were friendly and polite. Except for one !
D. H.
Nice place to grab a couple of drinks and get the stomach lined! Chicken burger was very moist and delicious. The front of house staff we're really friendly too and I enjoyed the Bills beer!
A. J.
Visited here for breakfast last Christmas and absolutely loved it.
D. N.
Delicious food and great service. The restaurant is gorgeous

Bill's has been a favourite of mine for many years. I have been to a couple of locations that were a little let down in the past. This one, amazing! I loved it.
It's hidden away (but not hard to find) in a lovely spot in Covent Garden. It was the first time we came to this location. We came for breakfast last Saturday (15th) and I can tell you, it was fantastic. We were greeted and shown to our table, the place was really clean and well presented and the staff were all welcoming, friendly and really helpful. Took our order, with no problems at all. I have the 'Bills Brunch' the full english/all day breakfast, whatever you want to call it. It was a good size, everything cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.
I don't normally share what I spend on food etc.. in my reviews, but with my breakfast and what my partner had, along with our coffees, it was really reasonable. The service was outstanding, we were made to feel very welcome and had a great breakfast. It was the start of a wonderful day and it was perfect.
I'll definitely be coming back here again and I highly recommend.
S. W.
We visited here on Saturday after a matinee performance. The restaurant was extremely busy but all of the staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. The food was good and the menu varied. The waiter even let us sample the wine before we decided on which one to order! Our waiters were Alexander and Jusan and they were both extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
R. D. L. T.
Nice food but the service was bad. We didn't get the burger that we had ordered. Even being gluten free.. which is supposed to take more care.
M. G.
A sharing platter devoured and drinks yesterday. Good service, freshly cooked taaty food and beautiful Bill's decor.
H. H.
Beautiful outdoor area. Bill’s food is always average. 5 stars for their hospitality
G. D.
Booked here last minute and was extremely impressed with the food and service.
We were greeted with a temperature check and table were all socially distanced.
We had the all day set menu which included the eat out discount. The food was very tasty and great value.
Definitely recommend!
L. D. C.
Visited today for breakfast, service was excellent and very attentive. Waitress and manageress were welcoming, friendly and engaged with us throughout. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Bills. Will be back soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A.
🤤 Little bit pricey but the venue and food really worth it! Try the eggs royal and the matcha coconut drink! 😁
I. B.
Food was nice but drink was not. Hedgerow Fizz was ordered but it was flat and only half a glass. Service nice but slow to collect plates after eating. Would return as good was nice.
s. M.
Absolutely the best breakfast had during my trip! It was lovely. Service was decent, decor and atmosphere was great. Would 100% return here on my future visits to London. Looked amazing, and tasted amazing!
P. B.
Really nice place, food was great just a shame we didn't get there until late after a show. We'll be going back for a more relaxed chance to enjoy it.
S. W.
The best place for breakfast if you are in London! Pancakes are my all time favorite😍
C. B.
Great menu, Atmosphere and staff were attentive without bring intrusive. Children's menu was good value for money. Sea bass and crab cakes were exceptional.
The flower pot cheesecake was really out of this world. Can't wait to visit again.
R. K.
This was the first place we ate during our first trip to London... 1 month later we returned and just had to return to the cafe/restaurant. The atmosphere and decor is amazing. All staff are attentive and super friendly.
The food? You won't find a fault, and reasonably priced for central London. Of anything it's cheaper than I expected. With amazing quality.
C. G.
Was okay, inexpensive food and nice staff
R. M.
Such a cute spot, friendly staff, good food and a great vibe.
D. O.
Lovely restaurant. Been to the one in Wimbledon but this convent garden location is much nicer. The staff were lovely, welcoming and very friendly. The menu has a lovelt variety of meals even vegetarian. The desert menu is superb, really yummy and great Portions. The decor and ambiance is perfect for a good evening out with friends. We were a table of 5 and spent approx £140 drinks included along with an optional service charge. Good evening out. Thanks guys 👍🏾😊
I. R.
Great vibe in the very centre of covent garden. We sat upstairs for brunch and found the place very cosy and well decorated. Staff was friendly and professional. Food tasted great, fresh and nicely cooked, with interesting choices. Our kale and beetroot hummus was incredibly tasty and poached eggs cooked at perfection. Really loved it! Prices are more than reasonable.
R. T.
A super trendy with very comfy sofas and chairs. The ambience is super sophisticated but with classy touches and warmth all around this restaurant. Many thanks to you all. . Merry Xmas
E. W.
Lovely location for breakfast. Was a bit cold with the doors open. They were a bit short staffed on this particular morning, but our waiter was friendly and apologetic.
S. A.
Love the decor :)
Staff is very friendly too. I felt we even made a new friend hah. Always checking if everything is okay and not in the pushy way or at the moment you might just put some food in your mouth so very well trained staff.
The prices I would say are a bit high. Food is delicious for sure, but for the quantity I think it’s a little bit overpriced. Plus it’s a chain restaurant.
They have great offers through on several days so worth checking that :)
M. A. A.
They have a gluten free menu with a lot of options. The food is good, but would definitely go there for brunch instead of dinner. Service was a bit slow but people were nice.
They are dog friendly
L. L.
I only had a 70% match on Maps so I'm opting for a 4-star instead of a 3-star. It might be down to my taste, but Bill's was mostly nice decor and not really anything worth experiencing in terms of food.
I had the garden plate and it was not bad, but it was uninteresting and bland. The cappuccino was large and had cacao on the top. I don't even know what to say. Maybe it was a latte?
Unfortunately it's unlikely that I'll be interested in going back . But the decor was memorizing and the place was popular, so others like it!
N. W.
Very cute café style restaurant. I have only had breakfast there on several occasions. There's often a wait so try and book in advance. The food is delicious and of good quality; the juices are freshly pressed.
The only drawbacks I can think of are the drafty window seats and the stained cushions they make you sit on. Other than that, friendly staff and excellent food have won me over!
L. M.
Wow the customer service here is top notch! The food and juices were delicious. The vibe is super chill and very bohemian in a good way. Lots of seating and in a great adorable neighborhood. Lots to see and many cute stores you’ll probably regret going into because of your habit of buying gifts for yourself and others hahaha. They take reservations but wasn’t too full.
E. S.
actually the prices are very good considering the portions. the burger was satisfactory. we went for breakfast but British people stop eating breakfast after 11.30 apparently. weird but ok
K. C.
A good place for breakfast before 9am in the Covent Garden area. They have great vegan breakfast and smoothies! Staff have always been very friendly and helpful as well
s.
Bill's Covent Garden has a very good location and the decor it really nice. The staff was amazing too. The food is really average and nothing out of the ordinary. Not a place I would visit frequently.
F. D. P.
I've been visiting this place for over 2 years now, never disappointed. Food is good, prices are average and the service attentive.
Only thing - the names of the options on the menu are very similar to each other. Be careful when ordering, as it might get confusing.
That aside, highly recommended
R. O.
Lovely cozy place in central London. Perfect way to start the day with eating breakfast here at Bill's. Had the eggs benedict and finished of sharing a plate of tasty pancakes with berries and syrup. Great service which makes it easy to recommend this place for others!
C.
Very nice food, excellent set menu for Valentine's. Really friendly staff, great place to eat
V.
3 stars only for the setting - beautiful quiet square next to covent garden. We ordered dessert and it was mediocre. Doughnuts were better than the crumble & the juice was nice.
The staff was polite and attentive.
N. C.
Friendly staff lovely food. Only down side advertising draught beer on menu and told they don't do draught beer. So why is it on the menu.
I. L.
We had a very nice meal on a Monday evening at Bill's Covent Garden. It was the first time I was going to a Bill's and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding, everyone was nice and polite. The wine was good, we had the calamari for a starter and it was very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and very tasty, the chillies gave it a nice kick and the mayo was spot on. My halloumi burger was really good and the roasted red peppers were a great addition. My friend had the seabass and enjoyed it very much. We tried the sticky toffee and date pudding for dessert and it was so yum! Overall was a great evening, highly recommended for a casual value for money standard dinner. The covent garden branch is really good!
N.
I go Bill’s here 1-2 a month for breakfast and it never fails to deliver. Food is good and portions abundant. Staff is friendly and helpful despite them being at capacity almost every time.
I’d like to suggest Bill’s to offer almond milk too rather than just oat as a further option.
M. J.
Efficient staff hence 2.5 star.
However, very small food portions e.g chicken and mash with veg £13.75 definitely not worth it.
Bizzarly the lights seemed to be turned down to almost off at about 8pm. We thought it was for a birthday cake presentattion. Everyone in the restaurant was surprised by that move.
Finally, it was cold and no discernible heating on the 31 Oct!
I'll be giving this place a wide berth until perhaps for a drink only meeting point in the summer months.
T. P.
Very busy and seemed short of staff. However all staff very cheerful and order for 5people processed 100%% correctly. Food very good and couldn't fault the experience.
S. A. S.
Had a really nice brunch here. Amazing coffee, would recommend their garden breakfast. I love the interior, and the staff are very lovely. good vibes. nice energy. I wish I could give you 5 stars to be honest.
my only issue is the toilets were a bit dirty when I went in. I would expect such a beautiful place to have cleaner facilities, especially since I went first thing in the morning. but other than that my visit was perfect.
N. K.
Loved this halloumi and avocado burger 🤤
S. H.
The starter, fried mushroom, is extremely tasty.
Chicken and steak as main course is fine.
The vibe is quite cozy and staff are super friendly
m. t.
Bills is a nice chain! The staff was nice and the food was good, chips a little cold. Always check for deals because they tend to have good deals for their email subscribers.
J. M.
The food was good, the atmosphere & decoration as well.
It would have been a 5 star review if they didn't forget one of the dessert we ordered.
A friend also told me that he got very disappointed by their "curry?".
N. R. D. S.
We used good Ole Google search to find a breakfast in Covent Garden. Bills came up top so we followed our usual guide.
Setting exterior and interior were perfect. Staff were good and efficeient. Down points were. Cappuchino was not hot. I had Eggs Royale which again I felt was not of the required temperature, hence my 4 star review as I was looking forward to the experience but felt the coldness of drink and food let it down. May try another branch.
S. W.
A nice atmosphere with great decor and nice interior design but slightly overpriced and the coffee was awful. The food was nice but not spectacular for the price. The coffee - not sure what was going on but it was basically just water and tasted like they were just running the water through the same coffee grounds for a hundred times.
N. M.
This restaurant is like a work of art beautifull and aesthetic inside,I went there for brunch which to my delight it was superb, both the avocado salad and the strawberry and honey pancakes left me with a wide smile,on my next trip to London I will definitely pay it another visit.
S. O.
Great choice, tasty, good service and reasonable prices for its location. Definitely recommend 👌
I. D.
Nice place and food but the lady who assist to us seems not friendly and looks surprise that we will come to dine in . A bit odd as we feel not welcome 😞
Thanks anyway .
j. w.
Great breakfast, although not all of the ingredients were fresh. Surprisingly spicy peppers on the smashed avocado - but very tasty.
K. I.
Place is nice and cozy. The breakfasts tasted good but the portions were small to me. The waiting time is long. We had to wait 10-15 mins even for the coffees.
R. L.
I ordered the smashed avocado toast. However, the dish was cold upon arrival. Additionally, I found that the avocado was rather tasteless. Overall, the meal was not that great.
A. S. B.
Delicious food and gorgeous interior.
But do make sure you book a table!
I went there on a Wednesday morning without booking and had to sit and eat on the bar, despite there being plenty of apparently free tables.
Still, friendly staff and tasty meals.
T. R.
Great breakfast with very quick service. We ordred two different breakfast plates/brunch and it was all good and tasty. All served on beautiful plates and cups. The waiters checked in on us and we felt welcome. We got a bit cold, i guess because we sad downstairs.
S. “. A.
Had breakfast with hubby there for my birthday. They didn't have matcha for my matcha tea, my breakfast came 10mins before my husband's (which they forgot about) breakfast was luke warm and tasteless. Place was clean and staff friendly though.
A. Z.
Despite being a busy team will go their way to make sure you've got everything you need. Tasty food! Beautiful interior!
e.
Really lovely atmosphere, great food great price will defo visit again
L. W.
Amazing food. Lovely staff. Lovely location. Love it. Amazing breakfast.
팥.
The bruch here was perfect. I just stopped in for bruch at about 10:20 with no reservation, and didn't have to wait. I ordered Bill's Garden Plate, which was served right away.
All the staff were very kind. Worthy!
C. M. S.
Great place for a spot Sunday lunch. Gluten and dairy free options available
S. C.
Good place
G. T.
Loved the food.
Excellent, friendly service.
Will definitely go again when I’m next in London.
D. L.
Had a lovely lunch! Noticed the long line and decided to give it a try! Just got off the plane and wanted some good and it was! Hamburger and fish pie was delicious!
E. L. G.
Bill’s is a well-known restaurant chain with a number of branches across London. We visited the Covent Garden branch this week to try out their new menu and had a great time. Not like most of the chain restaurants in London, Bill’s has personality, great food and service.
Tucked away in St Martin’s Courtyard on the edge of Covent Garden, Bill’s is close enough to the hustle and bustle but hidden away enough for a quiet (and delicious) bite to eat. The restaurant has recently been revamped and it is absolutely gorgeous. Oozing with style and decadence, there’ is a lot of seating across the two floors and also a large outdoor area which twinkles in fairy lights at night.
The atmosphere is chilled and there was a lovely relaxing ambiance whilst we were there. The staff are so helpful and also a lot of fun and we enjoyed our experience even more because of the staff here.
The food is so good here! We started with a sharing platter called Health which had smashed avocado, hummus, ancient grain with smoked tomatoes and olives and kale crackers. This was like a sharing platter sent from vegan heaven! The avocado smash was perfect with tasty spinach in it too, the grain was full of flavour and we loved the smoked tomatoes. The hummus was smooth and delicious and the kale crackers (which sounded far too healthy) were so tasty!
For our mains we had the Carrot, mushroom and cashew nut Wellington with artichoke mash and vegan gravy and the 10oz dry aged rib-eye steak with smoked tomato béarnaise, rosemary salted chips and roasted tomatoes. I will start with the wellington – wow! It was beautifully presented, full of flavour and the pastry was crispy and melt in the mouth all at the same time. I had not experienced artichoke mash before but it was really tasty – with perfect seasoning. The steak was a big old slab of good quality meat, cooked just right and the béarnaise sauce was the perfect accompaniment.
I was trying to behave myself so only had the one cocktail – the Hedgerow Fizz which was prosecco poured over a frozen blackberry with elderflower cordial. It was very tasty and didn’t last me long… also an absolute bargain at only £5.95! The rest of the cocktail menu looked great and the most expensive one was £7.50 which is just such good value.
I cannot say I have visited many chain restaurants in London and come away thinking that place was great – but Bills really was! The service was fantastic and the food was really top notch. I would recommend visiting Bills – especially the Covent Garden branch as it’s just so pretty.
A. T.
British contemporary food at it finest!! Love the brunch and the wide variety of healthy options. Has a Mediterranean twist on some of its dishes!! 😋
C. M.
Really lively and lovely restaurant. Been to one before in another location this was much better and great decor.
P. C.
Superb again, excellent staff. Must book as very busy. Well worth a visit if in covent garden
C. H.
Our server was called Diana and absolutely lovely and accommodated our large party of 14. In fact, all of the staff couldn't do enough for us. Great restaurant and will definitely visit again! (I only deducted a star because they no longer serve the lemon meringue dessert)
J.
This was the best savory breakfast I have had in a while, if not ever. The staff was very friendly and attended to me immediately. Decorwise the place is just gorgeous. Natural and calming shades and textures everywhere. Green, blue, brown, and terra-cotta. Wood, exposed bricks, leather, velvet, and marble.
Bill’s Covent Garden is a small oasis in the middle of this busy city, where one can sit back and relax for just a moment.
T. N.
Excellent service and food. We went there 3 days in a row, just for the breakfast.
T. M.
Loved the steak and fries!!
Service was really good too! Make sure you book
M. K.
Fabulous breakfast that tastes exactly as good as it looks! Cosy interior which makes you feel at home immediately, especially if you’re not a Londoner :)
T. S.
Fantastic service, delicious food and a really special pre-theatre experience for a 70th birthday celebration. Staff sung happy birthday with our cake despite being run off their feet with a very busy Saturday lunch service. Faultless. Thank you Bills-St Martin’s Courtyard team!
K. T.
Lovely staff, great food and reasonably priced. In London for my daughter's hen weekend.
H. G.
First off Bill was rude and gave us anxiety. He kept on pacing around and didn't greet us, instead asking "what u want". (don't know if it was bill or not but seemed like the guy in charge, or just an idiot.) Besides that, the food was good and well portioned but not amazing. The coffee was decent. The dessert is amazing. Well decorated. The rest of the staff was friendly. Bloody Mary was good. Prices were ok.
a.
We had a late breakfast here on a weekday, we had to wait for a table so we ordered coffee at the bar until our table got ready, the food was very good, service a bit slow but overall a great experience.
A. L.
Very good ! We turned up with out booking and they had space and were very accommodating .The staff were very friendly . Despite being busy we waited no time for our coffee and food .The food was delicious !!
A. R.
Can't fault the place beautiful inside helpful friendly staff quick service and quality food
P. R.
The best breakfast in London. Excellent service. It is good to make reservation to go.
Z. W.
Had breakfast here. Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. Food was pretty good for the price. Would recommend for breakfast.
S. M.
Great staff. We were with a group of people with special needs and they were really helpful with all our menu choices. Really rated the restaurant
J. F.
Amazing staff and the food was so so so good. The atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing as well. Can’t wait to go back.
C. M.
Delicious breakfast and stunning decor. We sat in the small courtyard which was lovely as it was sunny. Super friendly staff too!
E. T.
We had the Bills Brunch and couldn’t fault it. Everything on the plate was excellent quality and very well cooked.
Staff were friendly and the restaurant itself was very nicely decorated.
J. K.
Very enjoyable meal at Bill's this evening. Friendly, professional service and the food was great.
A. D.
Wonderful way to start the day. Vegan breakfast was divine. Wonderful atmosphere and superb service. Good value for money.
T. E.
I like the outdoor sitting area when the weather is nice.
Overall quite good food options for lunch, good service as well.
A. “. G. W.
Pretty restaurant with good weel priced food. Staff where friendly and it was easy to get a table without booking.
p. h.
Good food was very happy , we ordered the garden brunch and pancakes
E. L.
Totally in love with this place! They have great brunch and cappuccino..And also a whole vegan menu ! Congrats!
M. S.
A very nice place to stay. Breakfast, lunch, dinner ... Everything is possible there. Also nice vine, good service and a pretty interieur.
s. w.
Food excellent ! Staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble !!
L. F.
Such a lovely setting. Wonderful staff and fabulous food.
P. S.
A fab new makeover. The new look Bill's oozes chic and still offers a great menu at a great price
S. K.
Slightly slow service but it was a Saturday in the build up to Christmas. Lovely meal other than that!
F. C.
Gemma Natalie looked after me and my partner amazingly!!! Give that girl a damn raise, she deserves it 1000 percent. Service was on point, food was on point and the whole experience overall was outstanding.
We're definitely coming back.
M. S.
I loved this place! Tucked away in a courtyard the food and service is top notch with great range of meet or vegetarian options. The staff are friendly and relaxed and the decor has an eclectic and cosy feel to it. Perfect for brunch.
Z. A.
The best breakfast ever. Staff members are extremely helpful and efficient. They sung for me Happy birthday, I am so thankful to them all.
I. O.
Yummy buttermilk pancakes and eggs benedict lovely ambiance and friendly attentive waiters.
A. R.
We booked a table for breakfast. We asked for a side of halloumi and were told that the item was for the lunch menu. When I pointed out it was actually on another breakfast option they said 'oh ok' and were able to make the side! Finally they got the bill wrong, which took us time to work through. Frustrating bit is they still added the 'optional' tip on which I couldn't be bothered to argue over but the service wasn't worth it. The food was ok, nothing special. I prefer the food and service at cotes brasserie... or even a wetherspoons!
R.
Very nice healthy breakfast spot. Vegetarian options available. Staff quite nice as well!
E. H.
Very good english breakfast with the best crispy bacon in London, fast service also without reservation, friendly staff
M. “. P.
Good service, we went for a work event and the staff were friendly and tried to accommodate all the guests. It wasn't exceptional as there seemed to be few staff to the nunber of people there but overall it is good value for money.
M. R.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice quirky decor.
R.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. The host and waiter were both lovely. I got a mocha and the Hip hot chocolate, and both were great. I'm only knocking off a star because my main course wasn't the best. I ordered the steak and eggs, and both were bland and the steak was very tough. Also got the gooseberry apple and elderflower crumble and it was delicious.
Despite the main not being great, I enjoyed most of the experience and would come again.
M. H.
A bit of a wait because it was busy but the service was fast and the food was delicious!
M. 6.
Varied menu at decent prices and service is always good here.
N. D.
Great staff and great food. They've even done a special "eat out to help out" menu. Very pretty corner of St Martin's square. The desserts and cocktails are simply great. Great place for a sit down dinner as well as a friends catch up. The music isn't too loud. however they still manage to get their vibe going
G.
Stunning interior! Lots of antique, valuable pieces. Food decent quality. Meet was very tender, well cooked. Service was the downside. Completely careless staff. I was waiting very long time to be even noticed by female waitress and she seem to do not even bother to communicate with me. Maybe it's because service is already included, so they get paid extra 12% despite being nice to customers. Or maybe it's mainly tourist branch, so they just don't bother to care. Anyway, it's quite the thing in London. Very hard to find good service this days.
F. T.
Service excellent. Food arrived quickly, and more importantly, tasted great.
M. G.
Like all other Bill's restaurants, absolutely fantastic food and staff
A. S.
Very good service our server was top notch (Petunia), food and drinks were delicious. Gluten free selection was very good!
C. L.
Great atmosphere, friendly engaging staff, tasty food and very reasonably priced.
A. S.
Quick and efficient service. Food very fresh and the tea was great!
J. G.
Best breakfast ever! :) The people working there are super nice also.
N.
Nice place great location delicious food and coffee ☕️ Beautiful decor good staff service
f.
Great food and service, but just a bit squashed in considering the current pandemic.
A. D.
Really good food and a very accomodating waiter

Really delicious breakfast foods in a unique charming atmosphere. Staff was attentive and on point. Would definitely go back.

Good food and great service

We made a phone reservation to dine on the 31/10/2020 at 20.00.
On arrival at approximately 19:45, having not dined there before we asked if we could sit in the candlelit restaurant upstairs, to which we were told that we couldn't as it was closed.
We got a friendly welcome after being left stood in the doorway for approximately 10 mins as the waitresses kept walking past and they looked rushed off their feet which is understandable due to COVID. We were eventually shown to a table downstairs and given menus. After 15 minutes, nobody had been over to ask us if we wanted anything to drink and so I eventually had to ask a waitress if she would take our drinks order and we asked for a wine list. We ordered straight away and asked for a glass of tap water, bottle of rosé and lemonade and when the drinks eventually arrived after another delay, the wine was not chilled and the tap water never showed up. For £24 for a bottle of wine, I was disappointed with the quality of the wine as it tasted like vinegar. As you can imagine, we had already begun to sense the customer service was not up to scratch.
Our food order was taken and we both ordered the slow cooked braised beef. After ordering, I wanted to double check that the beef would be cooked through as my partner doesn't like pink meat however there was no waitress to be seen and when they were around they appeared to be too busy or preoccupied to speak to you. The food came and granted it was very nice, piping hot and very filling. Halfway through my partner's meal I requested extra gravy due to enjoying the meal. By the time this was eventually delivered to the table, we had both finished our meals as otherwise it would have gone cold as we had waited at least 10 minutes. When the waitress eventually arrived to the table with the gravy she was really apologetic and stated the chef's had to cook the gravy (???).
We then ordered dessert due to enjoying the food and again the desserts were lovely and filling and again piping hot.
Overall, we were looking forward to trying Bills for the first time. We were not disappointed with the quality of the food as this did live up to our expectations, however we were very disappointed with the quality of the service we received and would probably not return on this basis.

I've just had the best experience sitting here for the afternoon - Charlotte and Ingrid in particular were incredibly accommodating. I came to get out of the heat and apply for jobs in a quiet corner, with a friend. Food was perfect, and they offered the Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme, so the price was very affordable, whilst not compromising the quality of their food at all. Lovely staff, and generally a lovely and leisurely afternoon - looking forward to coming back and seeing Charlotte and Ingrid again. Thank you everyone at Bill's :)

Very nice place, good atmosphere and nice food, though a bit noisy.
P. L.
Went here for lunch, really good menu! Will come here again!
M. V.
One of the best places for weekend brunch in London. Great location and ambience.
J. R.
Nicely laid out, good upstairs seating. Set menu is great, the choice very good. Not keen on the raw cauliflower in the vegan burger, but the rest was delicious. Service staff are friendly and helpful. They were embarrassed that they asked us to move tables because a larger group came in, as we were served our dessert, and I wonder what they would have done if we'd refused. But we didn't, and then the larger group needed all the attention, so we couldn't get our bill without asking two servers.
B. A.
A chain restaurant but well situated, beautifully decorated and a good solid food and drink menu.
i.
Great breakfasts, decor lovely. Staff attentive.
H. H. B.
Great ambience, service and food. Pre theatre lunch. Hugely enjoyable.
T. G.
Amazing food served quickly. Nice atmosphere
J. w.
Nice food, good staff. Interesting decor

Lovely varied menu, great cocktails.
M. N.
Good food, good service and cozy enviroment.

My family had a big brunch here, and I have to say, the overall experience was excellent! The ambience was nice, the food was great, but personally speaking, the service was the best part! The place was really busy, so we had to wait in line for a bit, but the host was so warm and welcoming, and the waitress who were with us was so nice and friendly, he made us feel so welcomed here. Highly recommend this place!
Z. M. (. S. H.
Brunch was great, we had the vegetarian and the full English breakfast, both were massive, did not need to eat again for the rest of the day! However Service was poor seemed to be lots of staff wandering around doing nothing! Manager was really attentive and friendly which made up for it, but we were still kept waiting on drinks! So they missed out there! Food great though could not fault! Maybe offer a small and large version of both!
E. W.
The pancake, flat white, staff and atmosphere were really great!
F. K.
One of the Nicest Bill's we've been to, lovely food, superb service and relaxed atmosphere
V. R.
Fast and friendly service. Good menu choices. Good value.
L. N.
The food is good but nothing extraordinary - it will do for a Sunday brunch.
Can be packed so prepare to queue.
The interior and vibe is very hip - it's one of those restaurants that really understand the concept of fooding & brunch and incorporated it to their restaurant venue to give you a really pleasant experience.
The service is outstanding - not the knowledgeable type that give you magnificent experience, but the genuinely friendly service who are always there to help and have you at their best interest.,
M. D. R.
Price, quality and excellent environment is what you could find in Bill’s Covent Garden. Music is involving. I loved English Covent Garden cocktail
S. H.
This is a beautifully run clean restaurant with lovely staff, decent food and a great atmosphere. Upon arrival, temperatures were taken. Hand sanitizer at every table and throughout the restaurant and tables spaced apart for social distancing.
A really good, humble friendly place to eat. Thank you very much for a fab experience
M. K.
The decoration is adorable and quirky, staff are kind and quick and overall a lovely dining experience. Only note would be that the food was good but not great, e.g bread was a bit soggy and the guacamole missing some seasoning/flavor.
J. C.
Not the best Bills experience, food was not to it's usual standard
B. H.
Lovely restaurant, good service and good food too. Would recommend the Korean burger , yummy!
K. C.
Host is on the phone taking reservations rather than sitting customers at the door. Person should be appointed to deal with walk ins or greet people who booked, when front door person is busy . Waiters are helpful, pleasant and service is smooth. Food is great. Plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians. Desserts are super yum.
N. P.
Post lockdown 2 - return of the Carex- we headed to Bill’s. The staff were professional and super friendly. A true credit to the brand. The menu is simple, varied and had some festive alternatives. The truffalow sprouts were amazing... a very fair priced, well located restaurant with attentive staff and lovely food. What more can you ask for.
J. L.
Excellent lunch. The service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it.
R. R.
Excellent service, excellent food, excellent vibe what more can I say it's just excellent.
Vanessa was great she took our order was very friendly, answered all our questions without being overbearing. Rest of the staff was amazing.
Tip: Make a reservation.
K. K.
Lovely brunch place! Would definitely recommend it! Nice menu and service was fantastic. They cater to all diets and while I don't normally look into much detail, as I'm currently pregnant, it was very nice they checked on what I could or could not have, and gave me the healthier option for breads for example (dark sourdough)
h. h.
Amazing place and tasty food
E. L.
Excellent service, really good breakfast. Would definitely recommend!
j. a.
The food is amazing. The scones are delightful.
The service was a bit slow, but the staff are very friendly and I didn't feel like the 2 meters social distancing was upheld, I was very close to other diners.
L. S.
Lovely food and staff were really friendly. Food came out quick
A. B.
Been to all three Bill's restaurants in central London over the years and love them all...the food, the service and the decor are all amazing...not forgetting the location of this particular one.
D. C.
Lovely place amazing service . Pleased more than enough
C.
It's in a courtyard away from the main street so it is quieter and more relaxed. The staff was courteous and efficient. I had the courgette and crab risotto. I found it a bit watery rather than the creamy texture you expect from a risotto. My daughter had the seabass which she enjoyed. Prices were normal for London Central.
L. D. R.
Still one of my favourite places to dine in London. I used to work at bills in 2011-2012, in Soho. Quality of food is as great as it was.
I just wish that the waiters that handle my food did have a mask on, during the pandemic. But they were all bare :/
E.
Poor customer service and very poor operation management! . . I just hope they can hire more staff.. also I hope next time I don’t get the same passive aggressive behavior and be ignored by the hostess/ manager! The food was tasty. I wasn’t asked how I would like the steak cooked. It was more rare than medium but luckily I like that!
I. N.
Nothing special, decent brunch/breakfast.
Only one proper vegan breakfast option which felt lacklustre.
The waiter spilled our water and mixed up tea order. They also didn’t have honey to go with the tea.
The vegan breakfast’s avocado was ice cold for some reason.
Location and venue is amazing and beautiful though.
D. D.
This restaurant is amazing. The food and atmosphere was great! The restaurant is well maintained and clean. The staff is very friendly, with great customer service. There was no long wait for food. Food came very quickly. The Manager, Daniel he was the best. He is so friendly and very helpful!
V. V. W.
Our dining experience at Bill's was simply amazing. The menu offers a range of some very English favourites from simple grilled meats to warming stews, fried food and a touch of spice for the curry lovers. It's not just traditional old classics because for vegetarian options they serve Glow Bowl packed with vibrant colours if you need your five a day quota.
We had Bill's sharing platter to start for a varied starter choice. Presentation of the food was carefully thought out too. With sprinkles of sesame seeds and micro salads it makes the dish very visually appealing. The devilled chicken skewers were surprisingly moist and flavoursome. The crispy calamari were not oily and those dips for nachos made a good combination of sweet and spicy flavours. The smoked ribs had a good smoky flavour coated in a thick sauce. Duck pie was warm and comforting though I did find this dish on the smaller side for a main.
I definitely recommend Bill's to anyone who want an intimate dining for two to large groups of people.
Their lunch time deal seems like a bargain at two courses for £16.95. Will be back to dine again!
C. P.
came to see you guys and you didn't disappoint food was amazing well done everyone 👏
G. T.
Great breakfast, lovely ambient decor, friendly staff
C. C.
Cosy for breakfast. Delicious food, mash and season the avocado yourself and it will be yummy!
C. H. C.
Amazing Breakfast ! We were the first customers after the lockdown and we had a beautiful and warm welcome by the staff. The food is healthy and really tasty. We were very proud to be the first customers and we wish the best to all of the restaurant and the staff.
H. B.
Stopped in here for a quick breakfast before sightseeing. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu selection is great and very reasonably priced for a central London location. I also didn’t wait long at all for food to come out. I would come here again! :)
L. D.
The staff take covid pretty serious, temp check, app check-in, sanitise your hands on entry which is great in this day and age.
But the food was just lacking a bit. The food was all missing that but of flavour and quite bland unfortunately. The chips were good however
D. P.
Great food, great service, nice location. Will come back again
P. C.
Great post theatre meal, with well presented classics as well as some innovative items on the menu. Well prepared for kids. Good sized portions and well priced for London. The atmosphere was great - we sat downstairs near the bustling bar, but upstairs is great too.
S. g.
Very nice welcome! We were here just to take a hot chocolate but seeing plates of food we decided ordering two burgers and fries and well.. not disappointed ! Excellent food, kind staff and charming place. I recommend and I will come back for sure. Thanks
M. P.
Excellent service and food, in good surrounding. Very handy for covent garden.
M. N.
I came with a friend for drinks at the baron a Friday evening and was surprised by the quality of the experience. All waiters were extremely polite and smiley, they did what they could to be accommodating and even came back to offer us a table when one became available. A lot of establishments in London seem to believe that just because someone will eventually consume it, hospitality experiences can be garbage and customers will pay for it nevertheless, and so Bill's experience was a nice confirmation that business is still done properly and customers are valued at least in some places. I would like to thank the staff for their outstanding jobs at making this possible. (As a side note intended as honest feedback, I would just mention that the young bartender measured our wine using a cocktail container before pouring it into our glasses splashing part of it in front of us, a practice I have never observed before and seems rather inelegant. Maybe someone could teach him that impressions matter). A memorable experience nevertheless, we will be back.
M. P.
It was pleasant but not sure I would go back for dinner
a. b.
What do you mean you have to book? That is how good it is. Traditional breakfasts. Fruit, eggs. Plenty of choice. Plenty of enthusiastic staff who made it seem effortless. Open all day but the menu changes for lunch. Certainly a place I would look out for in other areas. This is 5 minutes from Covent garden.
A. R.
Great food and staff. It's a great place to go after going to the Garrick Theatre and near Leicester Square underground station
A. A. H.
Wonderful place, theme is great. Very spacious, 2 floors plus an outdoor seating area. Food is absolutely delicious, i always have a good time at bill's. Service is prompt and staff are friendly.
D. P.
Great service and good for gluten free too!
E. H.
We had booked a table for an early dinner and noticed that many if not all walk ins were turned away. It seems that at least for dinner, you should make a reservation, which is very easy to do on their website. I have been a fan of Bill's for a long time, because for years I lived in Brighton and used to go to the original Bill's in the North Laines. The menu has a lot of options but finding a gluten free and vegan option (as in most places) is difficult. I do like their coffee very much and they have coconut and soy milk. My dad ordered the pan fried sole and liked it very much while I had a chicken freekazeh salad which was delicious!
The bathroom is on the second floor so if you have mobility issues you may find it difficult to use it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, proving prompt and courteous service.
Bill's at Covent Garden is very conveniently located and easy to find. The atmosphere was relaxed with candles and shabby chic furniture. The seating is very comfortable.
A. M.
Really nice food and cocktails - still a chain, so bear that in mind. I wouldn't choose it over an independent place but for a chain I'd say it was pretty good!
Relaxed, chilled out - a little busy, but the food we had was bold and delicious. We had the meat platter to share - if you have three or four people, I'd recommend one meat platter and one veg to share!
Amaretto sour cocktails are good too!
L. B.
We did have to wait for our table, however the food was great and the young lady that looked after us was brilliant.
S. K.
I was initally a bit worried as they seem a bit disorganised getting us our (Reserved table). However those fears were quickly dispelled. We had the sweetest waitress who was very helpful. They dealt superby with looking after one of our party who had an allergy, and the food, was of course, amazing

Bill’s Delicious & Yummy Food!
My family and I were wandering around the beautiful and cosy St Martin’s Courtyard in London, an open-air shopping paradise in the heart of Covent Garden, when we found Bills Covent Garden Restaurant.
Bills Covent Garden Restaurant is located at St Martin's Courtyard, Slingsby Pl, London WC2E 9AB. On their menu you will find a great selection for brunch, cocktails, and if you're on the gluten free vibes, don't worry they also have Gluten Free Bread, which is very nice! Staff are very friendly with attention for details and not to mention prices are excellent!
If you are looking for a hidden gem in a lovely atmosphere, excellent prices, great members of staff and delicious food, then Bills Covent Garden Restaurant should be your next stop to relax while enjoying their lovely food.
Thumbs up to Bills Restaurant and their wonderful staff!
S. S.
Lovely setting and a good location. The food was good, not spectacular. Felt appropriate for the price.
T. B.
I was treated so well at Bill's that I left feeling like some sort of VIP. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful the service was, so I'll move on to the food. I went at lunch and got the special which with a friend let us try out a decent spread of the offerings - and it was all tasty. A few beers made it a heavier lunch than I had planned but a very memorable one nonetheless.
L. E.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and most of the food.
The only issue was with my main; I ordered the ox cheek pasta , and even though the menu states : succulent ox cheeks ; all you get is a sauce make out of ox cheek and pasta
No real meat pieces. The price didn't represent the dish.
The rest was good though.
G. C.
Fit out is cute, but found the portion sizes to be small for the price, and the waiter to be incredibly impatient - she kept rushing us to place our order and sulked when we hadn’t decided yet. Only thing that saved the experience was the pancakes.
C. P.
Very cute place to eat! We ordered the calamari as starters and veggie burger and the doughnut as dessert. Veggie burger could have more been more tasty as the sauce was limited but otherwise the starters and dessert were delicious. The staff is very friendly!
S. G.
Delicious food, amazing service. The granola bowl was perfect to start the day, my boyfriend ordered the pancakes and we never managed to finish our plates as the portions are very generous.
P. C.
The food was delicious, fried calamari was outstanding. 4 stars because we tried to go in without a reservation and the maitre d told us that there would be no tables available for the next 2 hours at least. We stepped out, and immediately managed to reserve a table through Google for half an hour later. The restaurant had plenty of empty tables when we dined there. Not sure why the maitre d refused to let us wait for a table.
I.
The best Breakfast in London. Great service and friendly. You have a lot of choose. Loved the interior. Is had a garden Breakfast. It was avocado toast with egg and Grilled cheese. You would recommend for a Breakfast of Just for drinks. It is really crowded we had to wait i think 10 minutes
A. M.
Very busy place. Food OK and reasonably priced but harsh ventilation is a put off.
G. S.
Came for brunch today. Although both meals were amazing, let down by poor service. The person who met us was great, but the two waitresses serving us were very rude. Also, very slow service. 15 mins for a coffee when the cafe is half full is really not quite up to scratch, plus over half an hour for food to come, when it was eggs and bacon...
D. H.
Never having been to a Bills before I was asked on entry if any of our party had allergies .My daughter did. From that moment on the staff informed us of all contents of all their menu. They were well informed the food was of an excellent quality and good portions. When it came to dessert time they had remembered the allergies and suggested appropriate choices.Never have I been to a restaurant that was so informed. Will RECOMMEND and go again.
R. T.
For our first breakfast in London, we went here. This place felt very welcoming and the staff was very attentive too. My fiance and I ordered the Eggs Avocado Florentine and the Eggs Royale. Really enjoyed the meal.
R. R.
What a little gem!! Delightful staff, delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere!!! Upsatirs is quieter than down, but honestly can't recommend enough, but don't too many people go otherise we won't be able to get back in when we go next!!
P. D.
Has a great choice of vegetarian dishes
R. B.
Nice spot to get back to face-to-face lunches! Friendly helpful staff.
A. R.
I'd previously been to Bill's in Baker Street, and enjoyed it. What knocked me out about this St Martin's branch is the interior design, it is absolutely beautiful, really stunning, and as I was with my girlfriend, it really made the occasion. The food was better than expected as well. Often with small chains the food's "fine" but this was really pretty good, we enjoyed everything very much. Nice one, Bill's!
D. S.
I had brunch here and it was a great meal. The food was really good and came quickly. Complaints from others about the service from other users seemed to be because they simply don't have enough waiters, waitresses given how busy it gets. We arrived early and the service was good and attentive however as the place filled up it did get much hard to catch the staff's eye.
H. W.
Friendly and helpful staff, good food and a nice setting.
A. M.
Very warm and nice atmosphere, classic and modern. We had a classic english breakfast and avocado &bread with egg. The food was nice, and the shop staffs were working very hard which gave me a good impression. Must visit again.
A. C.
Very good, quick and friendly service in a quirky restaurant. Food tasted great.
H. C.
Came here for pancake day. The pancakes themselves were tasty, although a little light on the fruit. The service was incredibly slow and there were many mistakes made. Our last pancake order came 30 minutes after everyone else's.
J. W.
You guys need to treat your staff better. I don't know why, but everyone on shift seemed miserable. Bar was also out of Kalua, which seems like another oversight by management.
A. K.
Always great food and good customer service.
J. H.
Very pleasant surroundings however unfortunately the food and service did not match. Antipasti was good however the Cod special was poorly done, in particular a poached egg that was more like hard boiled. The service at first was good, three members of staff tried to take our drink and food order but as soon as we made some negative comments about the food to a member of staff we were completely ignored. You should never have to ask to have your table cleared over half an hour after you have finished. Maybe we caught them on a bad day (as it came recommended) but the whole experience was very dissapointing. I'm more annoyed I didn't pipe up and refuse to pay the 12.5% service charge (or lack thereof) automatically added to the bill!!
S.
A no fuss, consistent and spacious place to get breakfast. Yes, it's a chain but so what? I'm not a big food snob to avoid every chain eateries. I think it's great a great place to get a full English breaky, pancakes, french toast and some healthy breakfast options. It can get crowded on weekends, especially if the weather is nice.
M. C.
Excellent service but the breakfast was very disappointing. It's a meal that every kitchen shouldn't get wrong, but the streaky bacon was like jerky and the soda break had been left too long and was so tough it was like having a jaw workout. Such a shame as it's beautiful venue with exceptional service.
B. S.
Me and Mum came into Bills on Bank Holiday Monday and decided to write a review. Its not often that people hear thank you and that's why I am writing this review. I would like to thank Bills for the best dining experience I have had in a long time. Laura was our server and she was positive and smiley the whole way through our visit. She had explained about the problems they had had that day so that we didn't order things that they couldn't do. I liked the fact she had left us to eat our dinner and came over just as we were finishing to ask if our dinner was O.K. I hate being interrupted part way through a mouthful to ask about your dinner. So this had a 5 star rating on its own. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was lovely. So I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Bills at Covent Garden for a wonderful dining experience and especially Laura for making us feel welcome. Well Done... Keep up the good work :D
R. M.
Friendly staff and good food made for an enjoyable evening meal
J. T.
Bill's serves wonderful comfort foods. Their dishes aren't that unique but they're made with very high quality ingredients, and have a posh twist. I've mainly been there for breakfast and lunch, but they also serve dinner. As they say on their website it's "contemporary all-day European dining". The country-kitchen style decor makes you feel at home but also let's you see some of the quality ingredients they use in their dishes. From freshly made scrambled egg with salmon to croissants, or fruit and muesli Bill's is a great treat!
N. P.
Service was quite slow but we weren’t in a rush - happy for a slow Sunday lunch! Coffee was quite strong which is hard to find in London. Would recommend booking as there was a long line when we arrived (at 11am) with a 30 minute wait.
L. C.
I have been going to Bill's since the first one opened in Lewes. Now they are popping up everywhere. This is the fourth one I've been to in London.
As always, the food is of excellent quality but you can see that they are trying to replicate the atmospheric touches from lewes, which is very hard in a modern office block.
The service is very good and quick if somewhat overwhelming - a little too American.
All in all, good service, excellent food and well worth a visit.
S. B.
Great set menu, really good value on the Eat Out scheme. Service was a bit slow but felt for them as very busy and a hot day!
M. S.
Bill’s Restaurant for breakfast is awesome. It is a chain but the service is individual. The athmosphere is nice and calming. We loved the industry design of the place. Pancakes and British breakfast were very good. We can recommend this place. Tea was okayish. Food wasn't exactly light. But that was our choice.
B. Y.
Situated in a busy area but tucked out of sight, food is reasonably priced and didn't feel rushed.
Unfortunately, on previous occasions have seen mice running around inside the restaurant and staff seemed unconcerned. Also, we have had to ask multiple times to see the menu when this ought to be just provided.
F. A.
Very nice decor inside. Food is alright
A.
Quickly seated by very polite staff. Quickly asked if we wanted table water and then our order was taken within 10 minutes. The location is really nice and feels well looked after and individual. Food is great.
P. J.
I have eaten here many times and apart from the odd overcooked burger have always enjoyed the experience. Yesterdays brunch was served quickly (I had the smashed avo and poached egg with chilli) and ticked all the boxes. Service is usually excellent.
A. R.
Quick and friendly service. All staff and customers adhered to COVID guidelines.
J. C.
Delicious food and great staff. Only problem was that they turned all the lights off for 'Earth Hour' which was just an annoying attrmpt at virtue-signalling and left us unable to read the menu.
Other than that the staff and food were absolutely brilliant.
E. L.
I spent an evening with my family there. The atmosphere was great. The food we ordered was perfect and service was wonderful. I will highly recommend it to all who would like to have a memorable time with your loved ones.
P. M.
My friend and I went here for a Sunday dinner. Service was much slower until nearer to closing time. We probably waited about 35 minutes between appetizers and main course, which was ridiculous, given it wasn't even remotely crowded in the restaurant. Our server disappeared mid-meal without a word to us and someone else took over. Food came out lukewarm, and portions were on the smaller side.
The small sides are rather pricey for what they are. Take, for example, the spicy mashed avocado with sweet potato crisps. The crisps should have been called "crumbs" as that's what they were, not a single crisp big enough to hold with two fingers to dip into the avocado. The taste was also bland.
Same goes for cocktail drinks, barely any alcohol (and I'm a lightweight!) and too much ice.
Main course was forgettable, grilled chicken and mash. This is fast food menu, not a sit-down menu in the middle of Covent Garden, even if the restaurant looks nice inside.
Desserts were either too sweet or not sweet enough.
I've been to the Soho branch and had better luck with the food. I wouldn't return to this particular branch, as the food was not great at all.
S. G.
It seems that generally the menus at Bills are getting worse and worse. There are still some good items, but the quality is going down hill. I ordered an ice tea that tasted like flavoured water and I had to send it back. It was very disappointing. The location itself is incredibly nice, which is why I have given this Bills 3 stars, as it offers a nice view, particularly at night and inside has a comfy atmosphere.
N. D.
Cute location. Nice atmosphere. Good drinks.
Sadly food is just okay. Came for breakfast. Avocado toast advertises the chili lime but it was bland. Pancakes were dry.
M. C.
Wonderful place for breakfast and photography!
N. T.
Been here several times now. Always great friendly service and a good variety on the menu. Reasonably priced and good atmosphere in the restaurant. The location is quite a nice area away from the busy streets of Covent Garden.
A. G.
Excellent fast service ordered the Oat Porridge and Capucino. Came in 10 mins and the Porridge was very well presented with blue berries and toasted sugered nut sprinkles. Very tasty start to the day. The restaurant serves breakfast til 11.30 with a wonderful choice of dishes, well priced and the location is just 2min walk from the Tube.
A. P.
Never been to a Bills before but had heard many good things and it certainly lived up to its reputation. I had the Brunch (basically a full English) and couldn't fault it, from the toast to the bacon, from the eggs to the mushrooms. Delicious and the service was 1st class too. Thanks guys
N. W.
Bill's is a fantastic place for a brunch, but I hear they also do good lunches. It's got a very interesting décor, looking almost like a store, with cans and food covering the walls. It tends to be quite busy, and when I was there the queue went up the stairs inside, but we got a table fairly quickly. The eggs on toast I had were about as good as eggs on toast can get.
A. S.
On a wet midweek morning, Bill's is a cosy place to be. Unlike a lot of breakfast spots in Soho your table won't be crammed into a corner, so it's a great place for meetings. You won't find anything more exotic than french toast on the breakfast menu, but that's no complaint. Plus if the doorstop slices of toast they gave me were anything to go by, the portions are generous too. Coffee is decent but not amazing, and the service is more than attentive.
E. C.
My favourite place for a relaxed brunch. The atmosphere is so quirky, it kind of reminds me of those antique-hunitng shows with all the homey, wooden furniture and the cans arranged along the walls. Bit of Americana, bit of country cottage feel throughout - very interesting blend of styles and patterns. Food is as good as breakfast food can get and is my energy fuel for an entire day of shopping ahead. Staff are always friendly despite the queues.
A. N.
Friendly staff, great food, cozy atmosphere. Will be back for sure! 👍

Worth a second visit, Bill's is super to look at, and has friendly staff and very reasonable prices, but the service was slow and the pancakes disappointing. Our first time here, my wife and daughter and I all got pancakes. I won't be one of those Americans who complains endlessly whenever something is different than the way it is at home, but since Bill's is doing American-style pancakes it's hard not to make a comparison. First off, they inform you that all of their pancakes have blueberries in them. Our 3-year old singles out food-intruders like all toddlers, however, so I had to insist that they remove all blueberries from the batter of her two pancakes in the child's plates. Berries etc should always be optional, Bill. Second, our adult plates arrived and each had three pancakes but one set was six inches across and one was eight inches across. Bill, pancakes should be uniformly sized. (Ours came with a few banana and strawberry slices which is fine but the strawberries on my plate weren't washed so well. A little crunchy.) Fourth, no butter in sight. A must! Fifth and worst: maple syrup came in a minuscule saucer, one per plate, holding perhaps two tablespoons worth. Three medium-sized pancakes drink up that amount of syrup in an instant. I decided not to ask and then wait for more so ate my pancakes dry and butter-less. Not a thrill. Our daughter also had a generous plate of scrambled eggs and toast which was very good. The pancake thing wouldn't be tolerated at home, while here I just think it could be improved.

Lovely restaurant
Excellent service

Great night, was a bit worried about going out out in these covid times but food was amazing & cheap (see spec offer menu mon to weds in photo). Screens up between tables that are close, had to use alcohol gel on hands on entry & book in with qr code scan against nhs track & trace app (only 1 person in party needs to do this). Food was fast to come out, service excellent, great atmosphere and had a thoroughly good night. Was nice to feel safe, eat good food with a couple friends & feel a bit normal

I had a reservation so i didn't need to wait, but there was a long line. The food was great, I had a salmon salad with prawns for £10.95 and it was wonderful! The dried chilli's hanging and the chalk boards provided a great atmosphere. Worth a visit.

The food was good, unless you're vegan. They advertise'veganuary' then the two vegans with us had a poor experience. One was served food that was not vegan as it was covered in cheese and had a cream sauce. The other had their vegan Wellington turn up at least 20 minutes after everyone else's food.
J. M.
Very nice food and quite reasonable prices. Great service and ambience.

I like Bill's and the general atmosphere of the chain. Have eaten in the Oxford branch
which I would rate the food more highly than the WC2 branch. Met up with some old work chums - which we do once a year - and this time we decided to try Bill's. Two of the group ordered , bacon/avocado/spinach salad - the avocado was not ripe, could not be eaten, the other two, the naked burger which could only be cooked medium or well
done, not med to well done as I had hoped. All very simple food. In the event the burger was well and truly cooked, dry not a single drop of meat juice and felt like it had not been cooked freshly. The salad and tzatziki
were fine. The staff were great in that American way and the place was packed. Maybe, 'cos it was a Saturday - things got a little rushed in the kitchen.

I love restaurants that don't over stretch their menus... Stick to what your good at! and Bills does this. One of the best burgers I have had in London for a long time! One bad to note was if you ask for a soft drink make sure you ask for a large one as the glass was literally 3 gulps worth!
P. C.
Great post theatre meal, with well presented classics as well as some innovative items on the menu. Well prepared for kids. Good sized portions and well priced for London. The atmosphere was great - we sat downstairs near the bustling bar, but upstairs is great too.
Z. N.
The usual Bill's, great food, friendly staff, but a bit overpriced.

Amazing place

Very friendly and bubbly staff, decent social distancing rules in place, great food and drinks for a great price, especially with the EOTHO scheme!
A. A. H.
Wonderful place, theme is great. Very spacious, 2 floors plus an outdoor seating area. Food is absolutely delicious, i always have a good time at bill's. Service is prompt and staff are friendly.
M. K.
Like a hidden gem in the middle of london. Very nice place to chill and have some delicious foods... the staff was very nice and behaved very well. Definitely recommended if you are around Covent Garden and want to escape from the crowd a little.
A. K.
Great deserts great cocktails
J. M.
Friendly service and great value in a safe environment, tucked away location, and some outdoor tables.

Amazing...

lovely breakfast with really helpful and nice staff, chive on the egg was a pleasant touch and the sausages were great. would definitely eat here again!

Random pick restaurant whilst staying in London. Very tasty food, friendly staff, fast service, plus the food was very well presented! Definitely would recommend family and friends to go; we are going to find a branch in Birmingham!
P. L.
Nice restaurant with great food. The staff were very friendly and looked after us. Well worth a visit.

This is a nice restaurant with an incredible breakfast, serving simple food and using fresh produce. We were amazed! The toilets were clean but need improvement though, as they are rather old and don't match the style of the restaurant area.
S. S.
Very good food. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff too. Only very busy so it took quite a while to be seated and served. Great overall though.
I. K.
Some deli food and a quick and friendly service
J. Y.
Perfect place for Breakfast. Great environment and Amazing Breakfast. Quirky teapots. Visit a Must if you need to fill up before a day in London. Well recommended.

Visited on Xmas Eve. This was a last minute stop as our child was asleep. The outside was closed as it was raining and the restaurant was full but as we had a sleeping child they let us eat outside which was great. I had a fish finger sandwich which was a little rich on the batter but still good
A. A.
One of the best breakfast places in london
G. B.
This is the perfect daytime food place that serves high quality and healthy foods. They have lots of breakfast and lunch food options. Very nice and relaxing place that you must visit. Delightful and always fresh produce ingredients that surely tasty. The burger is really yummy. Filled with toppings and surely satisfying

Let me tell you about my experience at Bill's. My fiancee suggested it whilst we aimlessly wondered around looking for something to eat on our date night (aww I know).
I opted for the buttermilk chicken burger with added bacon, amazing! My fiancee opted for Steak Egg and Chips due to the revelation that she's never had steak before. During the meal I asked her how it was to which she proclaimed it to be a bit too meaty, a complaint that sounds more like a requirement for a meat based dish but alas a complaint nevertheless.
She didn't finish the steak but still finished everything else. Fast forward to us just waiting for our Scones and cream and the manager approached us and said that he noticed that my fiancee hadn't finished her steak and asked if anything was wrong with it, we were shocked that he noticed such a thing. My fiancee explained that this was the first time trying steak and she didn't really like it. "Oh ok no worries, I'll remove your meal from the bill" proclaimed the manager, taken a back I chimed in with "oh wow" to which he coolly said "well you didn't like your meal so how can you pay for it?".
Needless to say we extremely impressed with this level of service, the fact that we didn't even have an issue with paying and the manager came to us shows a level of service not often seen. So kudos to the manager whose name I neglected to ask for due to being in shock of how low the bill ended up being!
R. B.
Above average chain restaurant in Covent Garden - with a creative modern pantry style decor. A nice array of food options, fine wine choices and overall good quality. Still, given the range of options, and the price point, I wouldn't pick this in the area - but they do a nice job of the concept.
P. G.
Great vegetarian food! I went for the halloumi starter and halloumi burger and they were delicious! Washed it down with the always amazing bill's pink lemonade and topped off with a chocolate melting pot. Can't complain.
S. A.
Been to a Bill's restaurant in Manchester before here and really enjoy the atmosphere and food, service always very good. This place is no exception. Really enjoyed our last night out in London here, would highly recommend. 😀👍
B. G.
The place is cozy and welcoming, the food offered delicious and I was impressed how the waiters manager did everything she could to serve us what we wanted though we had a very short time.
Love that place!

We went here for a lovely breakfast. The hosts were very friendly, we felt welcome. The interior is very stylish. Also the meals were delighted. Would really recommend!
J. M.
Great burgers here. Service was prompt even for 10 people. Nice atmosphere. Would go again. Great for a team lunch in central London. Lots of trendy bars nearby to go to after.
N. B.
Lovely outdoor area in Central London. Perfect for al fresco dining
D. M.
Nice place, good location, friendly staff. If you order pancakes with fruit, you'll get one strawberry and 1/4 of a banana.
M. K.
Part of a chain and very reliable. Fish Finger sandwich is always good but they have a nice selection of lighter and more substantial meals. Ive been going for years and its great.
M. C.
I had my breakfast here and it was really great, tasted fab, my mum's order was wrong but they soon corrected it, one of the staff was a bit abrasive but otherwise helpful and there was a very cute waiter with a lovely cockney accent yum yum
J. Y.
With seasonal variation of produce and a very yummy selection of breakfast and lunch options throughout the day, it's the perfect place to have brunch. On sunny days al-fresco dining in the court yard is great, considering that many of outdoor cafes in London often face busy roads. The decor and country produce dotted around the restaurant will help keep you busy whilst you wait for your meal, or you could just sip on their freshly squeezed juices. And all for a very decent price!
C. T.
Good quality, interesting enough setting and pleasant service. Bill's story begins in Brighton and as ex-residents we loved this. The walls are stacked with syrups and a few homemade goods you can buy - a little like a Whole Food Market on a wall, and there's a menu for purchasing alongside your meal menu on tables. I liked the bunches of chillies hanging around. Food was nice - a good variety. We had halloumi and hummus burger with fries, and mac'n'cheese with leeks and mushroom which was tasty. Perhaps the staff have read a reviewer's comments of poor service because we found ours to be kind and chatty to the point that we remarked on it. At £24 for two it was good value.
C. W.
Get the fish finger sandwiches- they are phenomenal- literally melt in your mouth umptuousness, with a perfect amount of crunch from that fish finger.
The stafff were awesome, look out for Alexa, she treated us so well and was amazingly friendly, kind, warm and great.
This is the place to go for Sunday lunch, or Monday or Tuesday- just go all the time!
I. A.
Love the interiour and the food. Been there three times now and always get great service. Great brunch! It's easy to get a table even if you don't have a reservation.
J. S.
Great spot. Had breakfast here and it was lovely.
A great variaty of healthy food choices. Extremely friendly staff and the place was beautifully decorated.
Had the granola yoghurt and the avocado sandwich. Great choice. Absolute recommendation!

Food was good. But felt cramped with tables to close together and to small
s. c.
Great place for breakfast!
R. L.
Excellent, well cooked food and good presentation. Only giving it 4 stars though due to a long wait for starters (30 minutes). We came at 3 pm on a weekday.
N. J. M.
Great food, friendly service and reasonable prices. Menu has a wide selection of dishes to appeal to different tastes.
J. L.
This Bill's is hidden away but is clearly very popular. The food was good as in all their restaurants and we didn't have long to wait. Nice friendly staff.
N. K.
An enjoyable experience for breakfast.
P.
Lovely food, food atmosfere
C. H.
Sat outside, delicious food and friendly staff. Only knocked off a star as there was a lack of heaters outside (although there were blankets available)
C. H.
This is a great branch of Bill's for breakfasting- outside on a sunny day it is sheltered and relatively peaceful in a courtyard off the main road and inside is buzzing. The pancakes are delicious, salmon, eggs and fruit fresh and tasty. Highly recommend.
L. T. N.
Lovely staff. Tasty food and drink. I cannot ask for more^^
R. K.
Bills is just awesome!! Such a welcoming atmosphere created by all of the staff! I had the cinnamon doughnuts and they are just divine!! Served by a lovely gal Lydwine today, Thank you for being awesome!
T. P.
Good location, and nice place. Service was a little slow at lunchtime, but nothing bad. Not the greatest amount of selection for the menu, but not a negative experience.
G. S.
Highly disappointed by the staff, I called the place and asked if they had a table available in 40 min. I ve been told to come anyway as they could accommodate us as we were only 2. We travelled to get there and the staff informed us that there was no way he could get us a table till 3(it was 10.45). I would obviously expect to wait a little before having a table as we were walk in, but not that reply for sure.
T. R.
Amazing friendly staff. Menu great and building itself beautiful with great decor. Food came quick and very well presented. Highly recommend.
M. S.
The food was good, and the waiter who served our table got the order right. However the manager made the entire experience more stressful and enforced a much longer wait than necessary which marred the whole experience. To make it easier at the weekend book ahead!!
K. H. B.
Fantastic, great location, good service and delicious food+drinks.
L. H.
Food good, but cocktails weak
E. B.
I usually prefer an independant haunt to a chain restaurant but I have to say that I keep returning to Bill's time and time again.
Set in St. Martin's Courtyard, it's great for everything from a casual morning catch-up with a colleague to an evening meal with friends.
Very reasonably priced, kind staff, quick service and delicious food. For lunch, don't look past the Halloumi Burger and in the evening I love the Thai Green Curry.
I've even got Bill's recipe book for when I'm back in Birmingham and can't get my fix!
F. B. H.
A delightful privately owned chain featuring some of the finest quality conscious recipes I've seen in Britain. Breakfast features anything from Eggs Benedict to pancakes with warm maple syrup and an accoutrement of streaky bacon. Lunch brings me back often, where I crave their buttermilk battered chicken burgers with homemade cole slaw. Dinner offers a range of fine options including vegetarian dishes, a burger that makes me think I'm in a quality american steak house, and a range of creative drinks. I choose peach iced tea often, but occasionally switch to fresh watermelon. These, for those who imbibe, can always be 'spiked' with your favourite libation.
Guide/service dog friendly, Bill's is always one of my favourite casual dining locations. If you're as fortunate as I am, I recommend visiting Bill's in Brighton, Eastbourne or Lewes. A creative range of personal gifts available, including sweets, jams, and cook's aprons. My service dog, the Venerable Mr Piddles, always gives Bill's two 'arfs' and three wags - his highest accolade!
R. T.
Disappointed they no longer serve sticky bbq ribs
K. K.
Food was delicious and came out so fast! Amazing cocktail menu... the Raspberry and Rose Collins was really tasty and refreshing!
S. P.
very friendly staff, service was reasonably priced however the restaurant was very cramped and provision for baby changing was not awesome. Obviously being in this part of London parking is just not possible. I can't rate it as any better than any other Bill's Restaurant I've visited
F. C.
A great Bill's with excellent staff and service.
S. S.
This restaurant has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced and was extremely accommodating to any eating requirements.
The manager sabi was so lovely and the food is super tasty too!
K. S.
Awesome brunch options in a truly quaint setting! Tucked into St Martin's Courtyard is this self-proclaimed food-restaurant-store, selling everything from a traditional big English breakfast to a veggie option comprising hummus and guacamole. Dessert doesn't disappoint either - don't miss on the white chocolate raspberry creme brulée! A must-try for those who want some originality and hospitality in their food.
T. B.
Nice decoration and lovely, friendly service. The ingredients always feel nice in the food but I always find it is executed poorly with Bill's.
B. A.
Lovely, welcoming and friendly staff and good food 😀
A. S.
The normal fare that you would expect at any Bill's. The service is very friendly, the food decent and the prices a bit over the top. I love that it is hidden from everything but in the middle of all the madness that the neighbourhood has to offer.
C. F.
Really enjoyed. Breakfast was lovely had Bill's Breakfast and green tea and the orange juice was fresh and nice. Seating area clean and nice.
A. B.
I love the concept behind the décor - with all the cans and wooden furniture, takes you places. The menu isn't outstanding but there are still good options. But hey, even if they didn't serve anything, I'd still pop in just to take in the atmosphere.
C. F.
Top tip go on Monday to wednesday and use the "up to 50,% off menu, that includes £10 of a bottle of wine. Food was very good. Service was very friendly.
M. T.
So-so. We were here a year ago and loved the place, so this was a return visit. It has dropped a notch since then. Service was very slow and the food was average. Ribs were actually quite good, those we would recommend.
S. K.
Lovely ambience with lovely people! Good service with nice food and cocktails!
P. C.
Food was great. Service good and obviously very popular as we had to wait 20 mins. for a table.
S. S.
Pleasant staff. Some parts of order cold and peppercorn sauce ordered then told wen the steak came out that there wasnt any. Toilets were awful
C.
Loved it - go everytime I'm in London.
Wish I was from the portal universe so I could pop over whenever I wanted.
Only downside - no milkshakes.
Also got rid of a great steak.
F. S.
Friendly staff, amazing environment and really testy food.. don’t miss them guys
P. A.
Lovely breakfast good coffee
H. S.
Super cozy interior and great design, extremely nice waiters, a huge menu and absolutely tasty and nice looking food. Relatively low prices. Absolute favorite in the area!
m. s.
No matter where you find it, Bill's has a solid reputation for excellence. Even booking for a breakfast there is advised as seating goes fast and it's a good price for what you get
K. F.
This place is amazing, the staff were so friendly and very polite service was really quick and the food was really good and not very expensive, i would reccomend booking or you could be waiting for up to 30 minutes to get a table but besides that this resteraunt was very good
S. B.
Great place to grab lunch before the theatre.
N. J.
Fantastic! Food was great and reasonably priced. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere was spot on! Would defiantly visit again!!
A. K.
Food Great , Atmosphere just right for a valentines meal ,cost acceptable, table service was a little slow to clear between but prompt from kitchen .
I. S.
Nice atmosphere. Different type of food and a lots of vegetarian options. But after a while we feel like our table got forgot
N. W.
3 free beers with each main course! Inspired!!
m. r.
Always the best place to eat and great service at this venue.
I. Y. H.
I personally prefer it for breakfast over lunch, perhaps because I am more of a breakfast girl myself. Eggs ben/pancakes that do not disappoint. Despite having numerous branches in and outside of London, Bill's in Covent Garden seems to constantly be ridiculously popular during weekend mornings. Surrounded by chutney, lemon curd, marmalade and confectionary, it probably would not take long for something sweet to catch your eye as you wait for your food. The location is a nice one too, particularly on sunny days.
T.
Lovely staff and lovely brunch menu (ends at 11.30). I enjoyed the Oreo milkshake and it wasn’t too massive.
O. C.
I love this place, nice food and vegan friendly
W. C.
Nice Affordable food. Friendly Staff. Had one of the best Steaks i have ever tasted. Overall Good eating. I will be returning here soon
J. C.
Went for lunch on a Thursday. Fairly busy. Nice atmosphere. Its ok...but food is over priced in my opinion and portion sizes could be better.
L.
Great place and food, but service could improve. Especially as they're always very packed they don't give the same attention.
D. H.
Tucked away in Covent Garden in a nice environment this offers a great place to relax and enjoy your food, this is a real plus for me. Secondly the food is exceptionally good. Definitely recommend the Sea Bass
L. A.
Great breakfast and nice location!
S. T.
Although on menu didn't do tap larger, no Irish coffee! And even though booked a table, and cafe half empty, was sat next to the front door, disappointing
R. D.
All the staff were amazing! Very helpful when I spilled my drink all over me. Gingerbread white Russian was absolutely amazing, highly recommend.
J. R.
Great food, great service
C. A.
Very friendly and bubbly staff, decent social distancing rules in place, great food and drinks for a great price, especially with the EOTHO scheme!
N. H.
Great place for a promptly served pre or post Theatre dinner. Lovely burgers, shakes and beers as well as indulgent desserts. Good value for money
M. D.
Great service, good value for money. Giuseppe was our charming host for the evening and he looked after us with care and attention. Thank you!
W. H.
Great food and stays open in that annoying time from 2-5 when it can be hard to find a seat and food if you don't know London well. Desserts are particularly epic.
Β. Κ.
Great place, great food!

The service was good, food lovely. I really enjoyed my time there.
