Came for the bottomless brunch with friends on a Saturday. Absolutely amazing service from a gentleman called Chris. He was warm and welcoming and could not do enough to help us. Food was extremely delicious, plenty of choice and generous portions. Great value for money and a good location in Angel. Bills did not disappoint and Chris deserves a raise!

Good menu selection. Decent amount of vegan and vegetarian options. Atmosphere a bit bland but not bad for a big chain. Soup I ordered had way too much whole peppercorns on top which were nice as decoration but not really edible in that quantity. And was brought with bread despite asking for without to reduce food waste...

We discovered bills a year ago. Everything was perfect, the glow bowl is fantastic. Had my first ever sticky toffee pudding for desert here, and ever since it is my favourite desert and I am coming regularly! I've been bringing all friends who visit from abroad to bill's to try the pudding. Somewhere this year they took it from the menu as it's usually only served in winter time I was told. I tried other places but nothing can replace bill's sticky toffee pudding! Since September I am checking the Menu of bill's on a bi weekly bases.. it never returned! Also the staff said that they are surprised as many people loved this desert! The staff advised me that I might be able to reach the owners with my plea via a review, so here it is :) Dear Bill's, you have a great fan here, please bring back my favourite dessert of all times!

The service was so great, one woman was so attentive and friendly in a genuine way. It made our Saturday😌 The food was great, the Bills sharing plate was a great variation and all so delicious!! A little on the expensive side but I recommend. I also ordered the macaroni and cheese which was a very mellow tasting easy eating dish🙂I felt relaxed and not rushed even though it was quite busy.

It's one of the most relaxing Restaurant when meeting up with family and friends. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing, good quality, and reasonable. I took my sister there a week ago and she was surprise that there was such a good Retaurant which is open on a daily basis for Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. She was really impressed.

Great food and atmosphere. I highly recommend their wild mushroom soup and Sea Bass dish. Possibly the best food I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Prices are also very good for a top quality London eaterie. Plenty of options for all pallets also.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Upon arrival and sitting I was instantly asked about allergies and intolerances, (I have a dairy intolerance), this got me off to a good start. Food was 10/10 service was 10/10 and was not as expensive and many other restaurants I have been too that were far less enjoyable. Would recommend and I will be paying another visit soon.

Really nice shabby chic surroundings, looks like it was roughly assembled. Food was pretty good. All fresh and cooked well. Coffee was excellent as was the juice. Would go back even though it is a little bit expensive.

2 time visitor. I had the summer omelet with bacon- both times good and surprisingly filling. Also, we do table pancakes and these are awesome! Both times the staff were extra thoughtful- first time waiting to put our pancakes order in so they'd still be hot and fresh when we ate them. 2nd time they gave us some tea to take. Coupons for a bottle of wine if we ever manage a babysitter and come for dinner:) highly recommend!

Bit ambiguous but we were in a large group, some ordered starters and some didn't, they asked us if we wanted the mains to come out at the same time. We presumed that meant we wanted them to serve the starters first, some people have nothing, but then all the mains come together...i.e. at the same time. But what THEY meant was for the mains to come at the same time as the starters... so the table was just overloaded with plates, some people got their mains before there starters. A few drink orders were forgotten too. Having said that I know large groups can be hard to deal with and they thought that it was beneficial but in hindsight it was a small catastrophe. The food was delicious when it arrived though. So a high rating for quality, and the service was pretty attentive and pleasant, but just a few lapses of judgement maybe. All in all the experience was 'ok' - hence the three stars. I'm sure smaller groups would be a LOT easier to handle for the staff.

The food is good. Varied and filling everybodys tastes. Sharing plates were incredibly good and the restaurant & waiters were incredibly nice. I wouldnt go for a quick lunch though. It took them a bit longer than expected to serve our plates, but overall i would recommend the place.

The cocktails are lovely, went twice . The starters are enough for a main course! However main courses could be a little larger in size but i suppose its reflected in the price(which is reasonable and would only increase with a bigger plate of food) .Tasty food , I ordered the chicken and had dessert chocolate cake. Really excellent service and very good value for money especially when using a blue light discount card. Nice flavour combinations and well put together. Outside area is an option but does face onto the road. I chose to sit in the courtyard slightly round the corner but there is still quite a deal of traffic if you were looking to enjoy al fresco dining.

Have been to several of the Bill's restaurants in the past and cannot fault the menu, it's varied and the food is excellent. Sadly however, the place is let down by the speed of service. Waited nearly 40 minutes and had to chase one of the mains for our table. Drinks were forgotten and there was a general feeling of disorganisation. Saying that, this was slightly rectified by a very professional manager who offered free desserts. Would definitely go again but not at a busy time

Fast, friendly service for lunch today; exactly what I needed. Food was good, as is the case typically with Bill's. Prices are a little bit higher than average, a coffee and burger cost almost £20, which is an indication that. Better than average food, costs more.

I go to Bill's for breakfast when I have a big group of friends staying. The decor and service is great, the food is reliably good quality and the prices are fair. Importantly, you can book ahead too.

I recommend the halloumi burger with bacon. Yum. Good atmosphere and food. Yes it is a chain resturant but it's one of the good ones. You can't really go wrong if all you're looking for is a quick and decent bite to eat. Service was a little lacklustre but you can't win em' all.

As chain restaurants go Bill's is pretty much the best of the bunch. However when I tried to book a table at the branch in Angel for a big group for my birthday I got an automated email saying someone from Bill's would be in touch within 48 hours. Weeks went by and I had no response. In the meantime I had booked somewhere else. Then two days before my birthday I got an automated email reminding me of my non-existent booking and asking if I'd like to pre-order food and drinks. Errr... Memo to Bill's - nice food, nice vibe, good service... but sort out your online booking system.

Nice place with good coffee, scones and more. Very unique style and interior. You can also buy some of their products, including the tea pots in various colors. The jam is really good! The food is OK, would preferably go again for a coffee and sweet bite.

Lovely looking place (shelves groaning with products you can buy, old paperbacks and comfy distressed leather seats) that's let down a little by the overeager but inexperienced service. I turned up ten minutes before my friends did for our dinner booking; the place only had 4 tables occupied in a big room so perhaps that's why different members of staff approached me so many times. The menu had the whiff of chain about it; and the main meals didn't change my mind. The spicy tortilla chips were very tasty though, and cheap at £3.50. Unfortunately, my main of chicken skewers was cold and badly cooked; no match for my local Turkish. Nice enough but neither the food or service are enough to turn me into a regular.

So I generally really like Bill's (great range of food, fun cocktails and a quirky setup) but we went here at the weekend, and service was pretty poor. We were warned that it was busy but we had to chase up the water that was offered to us 20 mins before, and hadn't even been asked to order food by that point. Our drinks didn't arrive until we had been there for over 1 hour and then food finally turned up about 10 mins after that. None of us were impressed and the staff didn't seem to notice. We've been in the week before and service was a lot better so maybe just be mindful of this place at the weekend!

I've often walked past Bill's restaurant's thinking they are a dull chain, but went into this branch when some family members were staying in the area. We had a lovely brunch, some of the best poached eggs I've ever had. Coffee was great and the service good, so my opinion has changed and I would highly recommend them now!

I found Bill’s to be a solid 4 stars, boarding on 5. Possibly the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had in a restaurant, and a great salad as an option instead of fries. The chocolate bomb for desert was whimsical, but I think the caramel was the highest quality ingredient, and I think I’d rather have something simple but with better quality.

We went to visit Bills after a stint in the crystal maze next door. So was ready for a good noshup. We didn't have to wait to be seated, maybe because we booked before hand? I don't know but it was a Sunday afternoon. Staff were brilliant and very helpful, this was the main reason for the high rating. The food was good but the portions were a bit on the small side. Bottom line means I would give a big thumbs up especially if you were visiting with a large group as staff banter goes further👍

Pink lemonade is really good. I've had the steak twice now and both is the same. The texture of the meat is good and when asked for medium well or medium it was spot on. There is a slight burnt and very slight bitter aftertaste to the meat though. But with the correct sauce it's acceptable.

I had a seared salmon salad with OK salmon but rather sad salad. My daughter had child's portion of fish and chips with peas that must have been cooked several hours previously. Maybe the burgers are better. The staff were pleasant enough but inattentive even though the restaurant was almost empty. Having enjoyed the original Bill's in Brighton this was a disappointment so I wouldn't recommend making a special effort to visit.

I decided to pay this restaurant a visit before a gig at the Islington Assembly Hall. I had the fish pie, which was nothing short of amazing. Although it is rather overpriced, it was extremely well-cooked. It's filled with pieces of salmon, cod, prawn, and scallop - what's not to love! The decor was homey and comfortable, and the staff were attentive. Overall, a great meal.

This place has THE BEST BURGERS IN THE WORLD. I've been to almost all countries in Europe and I tried the "best burger place" in many cities. Even in the land of burgers (USA), I didn't manage to find a better place. The meat is soft and succulent and most importantly fresh! Bloody Mary's are also one my favourite here and I'll be coming back as long as the restaurant exist, no matter where I am in the world. Other breakfast meals are also amazing and very well made. Lastly, the staff are super friendly, even a great surprise for London's standards. The actually care about their customers and if there is anything wrong, they'll do everything to make it right! I can't praise this place more than what what i've already done in this review but as of final words: CHAPEAU POUR TOUS!!!

Went for breakfast and ordered royal eggs, coconut porridge, avocado salmon on toast, buttermilk pancakes. Extremely friendly team! Very accommodant to particular diets like gluten-free, dairy free or vegan as they have a side menu listing what you can eat according to your needs (saves the pain to scan the menu and ask hundreds of questions). But most importantly, the food quality and portions met our expectations ! Would definitely go back as they have several restaurants all over London.

We used to come to Bill's in Angel pretty much every week (usually on Saturday) for breakfast. Everything was great until a few weeks ago when they updated their menu and changed their "Bills breakfast", which my husband was unhappy about- small changes but for the worst. We did complain because we had app and payment issues as well and were invited for a breakfast on them, which was nice. Unfortunately I also found out last week that they replaced maple syrup with the cheapest, least healthy and horrible tasting pancake syrup (apparently over a year ago, so it must have been ages since I had pancakes there). When I asked for ingredients, they said the label was missing. I don't like powdered sugar, so ended up eating dry pancakes with just a few pieces of dried (under the heater?), old strawberries, brown bananas (I guess the heater or not freshly cut) and a few blueberries. Maybe try replacing out-of-season strawberries with kiwis? Definitely think of adding more fruit, this was just a frustrating breakfast for me. I don't want to come to Bill's again but my husband likes their coffee, so we may pop in from time to time.

The food is totally respectable and I like the homespun atmosphere in here, but two cardinal sins are committed in the gents lavatory: 1. A typically British lack of mixer taps. 2. A jet-powered hand dryer positioned right next to the urinals, resulting in warm air and water being blasted at the genitals of other men. Most awkward. If you can get over the social trauma, you'll enjoy this folksy restaurant.
