Reviews of Bleecker
I. P.
BEST burguer me and my boyfriend ever had. Absolutely delicious. The burguer was juicy, bacon really crispy, you can taste the cheese and the bun was soft like a cloud but also crispy. Fries were nice and salty. Good atmosphere in the market. 10/10 recommended.
J. B.
Just went for the burger as I had heard rave reviews about it. Safe to say, it did not disappoint. The patty had great flavour to it and was juicy. Bun was nice and onions/sauce were the right amount. Be prepared to wait around 10 minutes as it can be quite busy at the market. Would go again!
R. V.
Rightly awarded the best burger in UK! Addictively delicious 🤤 🍔
S. W.
We had cheeseburgers (double) which were good. I would say almost a four star. The bread could be better and the meat could have some better maillard effect on it. And looking at the picture I sure can say that they don’t like as nice as they actually tasted ☺️ Why I give it a three star was that the fries were not nice at all. The sweet potato ones tasted sour and bad and the normal fries wasn’t crispy enough.

One of the most juicy & tasty burgers I have eaten. A must try if you go to London
p. p.
these were amazing, the beef was rare in the middle too ahh so good. chips were great too. would bear in mind im rating the burger, as the service was a little slow - although im assuming something went wrong as people that arrived 15 min after us got served 10 min before we did rip.

Hands down the BEST burger in London! I've had it a few times and it's never disappointed me. The last time I had it, it was even better than I remembered. I also tried their Gunpowder special for Burger Day and I must say it's probably the best burger I've had in my life! It was incredible. Highly recommended!
T.
Incredibly enjoyable, a single protion of fries is enough to feed 2 people (or 1 very hungry person). Burger was cooked well, had good flavour to it and the bacon and cheese in it were quite good too. Tasted similar to a five guys burger but better. 5 stars because why not
a. a.
From Asia to the Middle East, Middle East to Europe and Europe to North America, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the best burger I have ever had. Everything about this is perfection. Soft buns, juicy patties and minimum ingredients, a truly fine-tuned burger. Make sure to get the mixed fries (sweet and regular potatoes).
The staff were just as excited for me to try it as I was. They know what they’re doing and their confidence shows through their service. A must try when in London!!
Well done guys.
M. E.
They cook the burger and fries fresh. So it takes like 10 minutes to prepare the food. Taste of the burger was fine but nothing special really and it was quite small like egg muffing size. Service was not great. You can find better burger restaurants for that price point.

I ordered a quick snack from here Saturday afternoon, ordering was quick and easy with the tablets at the front. I ordered fries and a coke. The fries came out reasonably quickly and coke was cold. The fries were really good, My only complaint would be that there was a lot of sweet potatoe fries mixed in which were obviously not meant to be there, I dont believe this is deliberately done but some people might not like this.

One of the best burgers I've had in London. Really quick service, great flavour. Crunchy chips and friendly staff. A must go when in spitalfields

One of the best burgers in London!! Definitely worth trying. Honestly chips are not very good but still wanna visit here again because their burgers are amazing!
d. p.
Would have taken a photo of the burger but it was too hard to resist. My goodness what a burger I had the blue cheese burger angry fries and the soda. My other half bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries and house fries and was as equally impressed.
Service in challenging times was impeccable, they couldn't have been more helpful.
But my god that burger was GOOD!
Highly recommended and I'll be back as soon as we are allowed.
Go and try you will NOT be disappointed
I. I.
Excellent burgers - in my top 5 in London. If you plan to visit remember that this is an open market and you will have to find a bench to sit down. These benches are under cover for rain, but in the winter it gets cold. Also, during busy times service is very slow so always good to preorder on the website.
J. F.
AMAZING burger. The flavour of the meat was great, I loved the bun - crispy yet soft - and the fries did the trick. 5 guys is usually my favourite burger, if that's the kind of burger you usually like you'll love Bleecker. 👍👍
Z.
One of my top 5 burger places! Tasty and filling. The beef patty and bacon were fried to perfection. Also a huge fan of their fries. Not a huge fan of burger sauce but their taste combinations just worked! Would definitely recommend.
C.
Burger was good, but portion sizes are far too small for the price. Very poor value for money
J. W.
Awesome burger. A group of friends regularly rate burgers in central London, this place always comes out on top and it's easy to see why! I ordered a double cheeseburger (cooked medium), burger was cooked to perfection and the ordering service was covid secure (obviously the market is busy). On the slightly pricier side for a take away burger (£10 for a double cheeseburger) but well worth it - highly recommend!!!
S. G.
The basic cheeseburger is decent, but rather small. Ok if you were planning to try out something from multiple vendors, but I wouldn't count on this to fill you up for lunch.
A. T.
First time trying a Bleecker street burger, and I have to say, I was a little disappointed. I am a vegetarian so I like to see what different burger joints have to offer, beyond the standard mushed vegetable patty. This was indeed a unique and tasty burger - fried tofu, yum! However, for £6.50 I expected a lot more. It was an incredibly underwhelming size and lacked a generous number of fillings I've come to associate with premium burgers. I could literally count the items in the burger: Bun, tofu, sauce, 3 rings of onion, 1 lettuce leaf (singular), bun: The End. The most disappointing thing though, was that I wasn't even full after eating it! For £6.50 I would expect to feel at least full and satisfied. It was however, a tasty burger, but over way too quickly for the £6.50 I paid for it.
M. S.
Food was tasty but can't justify the cost, the burger was not to the same size as the picture on the menu, tasty but just not worth the money
A. R.
Whilst down in London went with friends to have a walk around Spitalfields market and grabbed a bite to eat at Bleecker's. Ready fast service especially for (fresh) cooked to order food. Good value at only £9.75 for cheese burger and fries. Would definitely recommend 👍
K. A.
It's fine, though nothing special. The size of the portions are on the smaller side, and while the quality is overall decent, there is loads of competition at this price point (£11.50 for the burger). Personally I'd go elsewhere if you have the time. Service was quick - I'd say just over 10 minutes
N. S.
After an initial mediocre burger the first time i are here, I decided to try Bleecker out again to see if it could live up to the hype. This time round however the burger tasted much better and was nice and juicy without much spillage. Black pudding was good and left us craving more. Also went for the immense Angry Fries which were Maris Piper cut chips with blue cheese and hot sauce You can now believe the hype!
J. M.
Best burger in London. I’ve had it many times and the last 2 times on Deliveroo and they have been consistently good. On Deliveroo the burgers do get a bit soggy by the time they arrive but still delicious.
R. M.
I can say its the best burger that I had in London. Its a market shop so dont expect a fancy place.
The meat is so juicy and tasty it makes you come again and again.
For the fries i would recommend the Angry Fries( if you eat spicy ) the sauce is a combination of blue cheese sauce and a spicy sauce which makes them delicious.
Too bad they are not serving the Bleeker Black burger. (It was my favourite)
A. K.
The burger was good and tasty, but my friend had the single patty burger and it was small/not enough. The double is the minimum for it to be filling for a decently large guy. Also, sweet potato fries were soggy and sad.
M. A.
Placed an order, there was a small technical issue, a lovely guy at the restaurant quickly recognised the issue and was extremely quick to amend and resolve it for me, he was really understanding and very helpful. The food is tastier and a hundred times better than your standard cafe burger and chips. Beef burgers are made with proper beef and the fries are well seasoned. Would highly recommend. Was delicious. Cheers guys.
C. B.
Without doubt the best burger I've ever consumed. The depth of flavour they have achieved in a burger is incredibly satisfying. It's juicy! Yes Juicy. You'll know exactly what I mean when you try it! You'll struggle to find a better burger in London.
I. B. (.
The food was nice, it’s a cracking burger, some people might find it a little rare for their tastes but I was happy with that, but the price is a bit steep, £22 for a burger, chips and a beer would be more acceptable if you got to sit down, but this is just a hole in a wall, south of £20 and they would have gotten 4 stars.
B. M.
Amazing! The burgers albeit a bit pricy are definitely worth checking out at least one time. The meat melts in your mouth. Definitely worth recommend getting with fries or sides as the burger can be finished in a few bites.
D. R.
Just love their burgers, the medium cooking brings out the flavour that you so rarely get to enjoy when you buy burgers from a food outlet
J. T.
Absolutely phenomenal burgers! Get the double cheeseburger and don't share it 😉try out their house fries (not on the menu) which is their chips smothered in their special burger sauce!
W.
With a small open kitchen this burger joint is the best burger in 2020 (award) and has a quick service that always comes with a smile.
Burgers are small but compact in amazing flavours and textures if you are in Spitalfields for some food then this is a one stop shop for a beautiful burger.
A. C.
Burgers served medium-rare; we ordered their signature Bleecker Black, black pudding sandwiched between two patties. A stand out burger that hits you with a medley of savory flavors, a must try.
U. K.
Best burgers in town simple and great. The only bad thing is one is not enough 😁
C. O.
Great burgers but the wait at lunch can be outrageous especially with large orders coming in for delivery.
S. H.
Promised much, a very pretty burger in the box, and nine quid is pretty standard for a double cheeseburger these days. But it was very greasy, the raw onion circles added nothing except mess and I'm not sure medium rare should mean cold in the middle
J. A.
The burgers are good but the costs for them are high for the size. I feel they could be bigger but they are tasty and well cooked. I just feel they are let down by the size that's all when compared to other burger places and the price. We'll worth a try but expect to want to be hungry afterwards.
H. T.
Had to try this and was blown away if you like areal burger come here maybe even order 2 doubles 🤣😎
A. B.
Easily one of the best burgers in London. The meat is flavourful and tender and the blue cheese sauce is one of the best burger toppings I've every tasted. Slightly salty and creamy it's delicious. Worth a visit if you're nearby.
J. B.
Bleeker burger 💪🏾. I would highly recommend going for the angry fries. Blue cheese sauce and hot sauce.......lethal combination. Very good burger. I believe there double patty is manageable for anybody
R. S.
One of the best burgers you can get your hands on in London.
Bleecker stick to what they know, they have a simple menu with a handful of really well-done items, from fries to the burgers themselves. The meat is good quality and the veggie burger option is actually pretty good too. It's also at pretty standard pricing for the city with good portions for what you pay for.
Staff are pretty efficient at getting your order to you quickly and friendly enough. There are no complaints whatsoever. It can get quite busy, so it's usually better to grab and go rather than sit down but everything here is simple, effective, and well done.
S.
Bangin burgers, so damn good, best I've had in London thus far
S. T.
A simply terrific burger. I had the Bleecker Black, medium-rare, and it came out perfectly. No fuss, just a perfect, tasty burger. I'll be going back and back and back.
S. B.
Really enjoyed my burger and chips! Little bit pricey but was craving. Plus food cooked from fresh, which you won't get from McDonald's rubbish.
C. C.
Used to be great but it's not what it was. Massive over seasoning is a real shame. Actually better to just get the home kit.
B. W.
Lovely juicy bacon cheeseburger which melted in your mouth. Good selection and easy ordering. Chips are lovely and I already want to go back! Thanks
D. D.
The best burger in London? Dunno how many I ate but I never got tired of them. I've moved from London and I miss Bleecker Street as much as anything!
A. S.
Very Warm customer service, payment issue caused us to get a free milkshake, come again !!!
T. W.
Great burgers but sometimes not quite worth the extended wait
A. P.
Had the double cheeseburger and it was perfect. Perfect bun, juicy meat, meat to bun ratio, seasoning, sauce, the whole nine yards. Only complaint might be that it's on the smaller side but that's Ok. I will be back.
G. C.
I am amazed that this is only 4.1 stars currently, it is certainly up there with the best burgers in london. The perfect fat content in the mince makes it incredibly juicy, the burger just disintegrates into magical flavours in your mouth. This review counts for about 10 as i've brought many people here who have all shared the same joy as I whilst eating this burger.
L. W.
Very good burgers & the angry fries are very nice - though I think the quality has decreased in the last 3 years. I used to hold this place up as the best burger in London but I don’t think it holds that title any longer. The patty’s felt thinner & the burger therefore wasn’t as filling, but this could have been a one off.
H. L.
Bleecker Bangs, simple as. (Do wish they would bring back the black pudding burger though)
W. T.
Taste was pretty on point, fries were large in size, the budget was small, you'd pretty much have to go double...
K. M.
My favourite place for burgers in London 🍔😁 Medium rare was prefect 😋
N. B.
The burgers are quite tasty. I went for a normal sized cheeseburger, which are too small (esp for £7). I would recommend to go for double size if you're feeling hungry, otherwise you risk an unsatisfied stomach. The sweet potato fries need some improvement, they were too rubbery for us...like worms, not enjoyable. Not sure we would order from here again, however have friends who rave about the food here, so I guess it's all down to personal preference.
B. T.
Such good burgers, deffo the choice for flavour. The burgers aren’t massive but they make up for it in taste, I do wish they would bring the black pudding back, that was so good. In the mean time a cheese burger and angry fries is the way to go.
N.
My favourite burger in London, simple high quality burger which packs a lot of flavour. Fries and milkshakes are pretty standard but the burger is the star of the show
K. R.
Bought a double cheeseburger, vanilla milkshake, and mix of sweet potato and normal fries.
For me im into soft burgers and this one was spot on 👌🏾 it was juicy and the bun was soft. Just burger, cheese, and little pieces of onion. It was a small burger but the taste and softness redeemed itself👌🏾
The vanilla milkshake was great, it felt like it could have been a Creams milkshake so I give a 5star.
The mix fries was ok, skin-on fries and sweet potato 👌🏾
The downside, it all came to £19 but it was a good meal as it does fill you up.
So this one is to all burger lovers 👍🏾
D. M.
Great burger especially with bacon. The fries seems to have gone from good to great as well. Top it off with delicious bleecker sauce and its a very satisfying meal. Wash it all down with a nice black and white milkshake.
A. S.
If they did thick patties this would be hands down the best burger in London. Packed with flavour and very juicy!
J. M. B.
I haven’t tried every single burger in London of course but I tried so many and for sure all the main ones: patty & bun, Byron, shake shack, gbr, 5 guys, surgista, brgr, hache, honest, dirty, B&B, you name it. Moreover I cook for living so yeah my opinion is above yours. This is again THE BEST BURGER around since they reintroduced the option of having it medium/medium rare. Patty & Bun comes second.
V.
Burgers most definitely the best in London. Cooked to perfection. Double is definitely needed to feel satiated. Cannot order face to face , touch screen or online only
I. P.
Loved this place when it was a food truck, but the cooking seems to have gone downhill since they got their own stall.
Bleecker has generally tasty burger patties, definitely well-seasoned, good buns, and decent fries at reasonable prices. The first time we went, I declared it my favorite burger in London.
But since moving out of their truck into a stall, I've been back 4 or 5 times, and I've had temperature issues with my burger at least 3 times. Seriously, it shouldn't be that hard to cook a burger to medium - if it's gooey in the middle, you have failed, and that's been the case more often than not. Clean up the cooking and I'll come back, but otherwise I might just chalk this up to getting too big for their britches.
P. H.
Bleecker St produce, in my opinion, some of the best burgers in London. Their burgers are simple - beef patty, cheese and a bun, with bacon and black pudding variants. The quality of the beef patty is what really shines - the inclusion of bone marrow creates a rich and deep flavour, and I implore anyone to polish one off and not feel deeply satisfied with the experience. The only downside is the quality of the fries, which are very average, but don't use that as an excuse to miss out on the fantastic burgers. Highly recommended!
B. H.
Best coffee milkshake and burger in Central. Patty always cooked perfectly.
K. R. A.
Good assembly on the burger and averagely priced for London . Taste wise the patty is nice and juicy with good seasoning. I’d also recommend the house fries . But the milkshake could be better.
C. K.
Fantastic Burger, pricey, but this isn't junk in a bun
B. M.
Great experience and definitely worthy of the praise it's received lately. The burger has a great deal of flavour and the medium-rare texture melts in your mouth. My only criticism would be that it's too tender...if you're looking for a chewier burger this won't be your style.
Nonetheless it's a MUST for any self-respecting burger aficionado. The angry fries are a great side item as well. I'll be going back!
A. L.
Rubbish place, but probably best burgers at the planet. The place is small and let's call it very basic. When you walk in it feels like just a random fast food place. However, the double cheeseburger is probably one of the best burgers in the world and I had tons of burgers in my life and tried this one twice. The burgers are rather small, but big enough and just outstanding in taste.
They are really amazing amazing in terms of tastyness and if you're in town and don't hate burgers, you should make an effort to try this one - it's SO amazingly tasty with every single byte that you don't want to stop it. Excellent burger!
R. A.
This is, by far, the best burger in London!
An amazingly tasty burger cooked to order to create a perfectly well formed medium rare burger that is oozing with taste. The chips are great, especially the angry fries. Although it's very popular, so if you don't want to wait too long for your burger then get there before the lunchtime rush!
L. M.
I found the burger really tasty. The burger was a little greasy at the bottom which soaked into the bottom bun but apart from that it was okay. The burger is pretty small for the price but the chips are a large portion so it makes up for the small burger. Do think it is slightly overpriced and have had better burgers. My partner also had the burger and his review is as follows:
Food was absolutely awful, the burger was tiny and the chips were scraps from the bottom of the bag but a decent portion. The burger was also really oily and I woke up in the middle of the night with diarrhoea.
So yeah all in all it is pretty mixed review... you can imagine how much I was laughing at 5 in the morning 😂
S. S.
With so many pop-ups to choose from ,Bleecker the best by a mile.
Great customer service, excellent music and the best premium burgers.
Nothing beats the juicy patties and the creamy house sauce.
Don't forget the house fries and, of course, the milkshakes.
A. I.
Delicious burger and definitely one of the best in London. That being said, the portions are quite small and the overall feels a bit too salty. Bun better than average in the market. Patties nice and reddish in the middle. Will start visiting regularly.
V. A.
Let me start by saying that this is a GREAT burger. However, this is possibly the worst location I have ever seen. It's literally eating in a sad, black box with no light. Also not a fan of the mustard yellow stools. I think the overall experience of the burger would be improved by a nicer environment to eat in. I now always take my burger to go so I can enjoy a lovely burger in the park - much more picturesque.
M. A.
Best burger in London. Delicious and juicy, charred Patty. Crisp bacon and delicious shakes. Friendly staff who work in quite a small space in a very busy area. So, hats off to them! Expediter is always on it. Young, black man, glasses. Communicative and organized. This my fave burger!
r.
Easily my favourite burger in the UK (Shake Shack NYC and Hard Times Sundaes share the global title).
First of all, that beef. Incredible dry aged flavour with a good fat content, coupled with expert cooking - delicious seared crust with actual medium rare innards - make it a hell of a juicy patty. Secondly, the airy, light, slightly sweet bun that feels like it should collapse under those juices but holds up like a soldier. The slice of black pudding in the Bleecker Black takes things up a salty notch, and the angry fries are a faithful rendition of the Buffalo fries found throughout the US.
Definitely worth braving the crowds - visit after work on a weekday for a quieter experience.
M. D.
Cooked to order, the food was ready in a few minutes and did not disappoint. I had heard the rumors, and I must say they are true. This is one of the best burgers in London, and it is most definitely in the combination of perfectly cooked beef patty and oozy american cheese.
The angry fries, were super salty and smothered in both cheese and hot sauce. They tasted like they may have been cooked in dripping, but were delicious and complimented the burger perfectly.
The burger has left me wanting more, and I cant wait to go back and try the bigger burgers!
Be sure to follow them on Twitter – @bleeckerburger
UPDATE: The Bleeker Black is the best burger I've ever tasted - a huge slab of delicious black pudding - AMAZING
G. W.
Phenomenal burgers, so fresh and tasty and well worth trip
A. B.
No nonsense burger and the best burger in London. The perfect size and void of any useless frivolity. If you want a bigger burger there are "double" options. But a normal burger with fries and a pretty awesome shake are plenty.
The only downside is that its "street food" so there can be no where to sit and especially on a cold day the market is not a fun place. But the burgers are worth it. If you live in London you can also just take away. Highly recommend the Black pudding burger and vanilla shake. Staff are super friendly!
G. S.
Easily the best burger in London. I've had the bacon cheeseburger twice and it's brilliant. Fries are nice if a bit oily. Hopefully won't be too popular, expand too quick & go downhill like so many good places. I went to the burger van on the Southbank, seek it out.
A. M.
Far and away the best burger in London, a simple yet amazingly delicious burger. I've brought many friends to the various van locations around London and will be paying a visit to the new restaurant very soon. If you're trying it for the first time I'd recommend the cheeseburger first to fully appreciate the flavours then order another one straight away, one's never enough!!!
L. G.
T. T. P.
Simple and excellent. Perfectly cooked burger, great combination with cheese and onion and a nice warm soft bun. Pretty small, so I'd suggest going for the double, some may say slightly salty but just more reason for a milkshake!
I.
Absolutely best burger ever. Totally disagree with the post below. Oh please! I am super fussy about my food, and these are the best burgers I have ever came across (including London, Shanghai, LA) . I always have double cheeseburger. Ah I go out fair bit, mainly in Mayfair, Marylebone as of London. Bleecker Street burgers are non greasy at all in fact, fries with this superb blue cheese topping oh wow. And drinks just usual selection? Water and diet coke :) But yup - totally brilliant place.
J. B.
The Bleecker Black is hands down the best burger I have ever eaten but sadly off the menu recently.
The other burgers are still fantastic and among the best in London so go and try them! You won't be disappointed.
M. T.
Overall a bit disappointed. Had the single cheeseburger, which was very mediocre. Weak presentation, apart from the cheese you’ll get a single leaf of iceberg salad and sauces. Taste was ok, but minimalistic and due to loads of sauce very creamy.
The fries were good, but very light on the salt side. Value for money rather weak. Other joints (ie Zephyr) a lot stronger.
R. L.
Guys, this was delicious. We spent the entire day at BST in Hyde Park yesterday, all the way from Norway, in blistering heat and scorching sun - today we were totally knackered. This was superb. Burger was perfect in size and taste. The fries tasted like home made and the Oreo shake was a-mazing. Delivery was quick, tho not far away. We'll definitely be back at a later date!
V. F.
Easily my favourite burger place in London. The standard of food here is AMAIZING!!! Love love love the blue burger and the house fries are just finger licking!!!!!! Summer edition Strawberry milkshake is super delicious. The staff are always super friendly and fun!Why go anywhere else! Bleecker! Bleecker! Bleecker!!!!!!!
D. M.
Probably one of the best burgers you'll try
W. H. (. P.
Absolutely delicious burgers, price matches competition but taste exceeds those same competitors. Worth a trip to old spitalfields market on its own.
S. C.
One of London's best burgers. Eat it.
I. G.
Without of doubt the best burger ever had. Only a few times I had such first bite pleasure face in my life. Very rich and incredibly flavourful. They found the perfect fat combo to combine with high quality meat. Also great chips too. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back.
p. n.
This burger place is on Canada square, right next to the Jubilee Canada square entrance. Seems like a temporary set up for summer, while the actual one is near the market. Nice place to sit around and lunch during summer days, as it is out in centre of the square. In terms of the burgers, they have only beef and one vegetarian option. Yes, no chicken!! The meat is juicy and tasty, but the burger overall is greasy. The one that we ordered was just the meat between the buns, no pickle etc. Fries were ok. Good option to try out on a warm summer day, but watch out for the long queues on any such day.
S. A.
Ignore the people below whining and leaving one star reviews about burgers being greasy or "raw". This place is not for people who like overcooked, dry and bland burgers. If you want the best burger in London, flavoursome, juicy and medium rare as they should be then come here. If you're the kind of basic philistine who has their steak well done then stay away, go to McDonald's. Please don't ever change Bleecker! And stop apologising to these numpties!
T. E. J.
Lets start. If you think that Honest, burger, Byron, shake shake, Patty and bun, do the best burgers. Think again. This is by far THE best burger in London. Made how burgers should be made. The chefs have gone back to the basics, they have stripped all the fancy gourmet rubbish and made something spectacular. This is the ultimate food porn experiences. If you yearn for a burger, this is the one for you. I will be coming back to try the beers they apparently serve (I just came for the meat)
D. R.
Amazing burgers, each and every one. However, the fries are beyond salty. I usually eat too much salt as it is, but they go way overboard with it.
e.
Got a double cheese burger. Both patties was very thin and had no juicy pink middle part whatsoever. The worst bit was the fat leaking from the patties ended up in the bottom of the container in which they serve the burger and made the bun soggy. It was rather disgusting. Fries were great tho.
C. J.
I don't visit often but everyone I do I tell myself "it can't be that good, it's only a burger..." But then you have one, and you remember. Yes. It is that good. Period. Best burger ever!
N. A.
Best burgers I’ve ever had
L. H.
It's between Bleecker and Beyond to which is the best burger in London.
S. C.
Amazing smell from the kitchen, and the burger doesnt disappoint. Had the bleecker black burger. Soft, moist (lmost dripping with juiciness) and the black pudding adds great texture. The bun is also amazing soft. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had. Also ordered angry fries. These were abit too cheesey for me, although i won't hold it against them as it was blue cheese and i should have known. Lool forward to going back and trying another.
UPDATE:
A year after posting that initial review, I've been to Bleecker St a few more times, and it's grown even more in my estimation. Each time I've been and thought the burgers were better than I remembered, which is a good sign of consistent quality. Having tried most other burger places around London, I've really come to appreciate the quality of the beef, and that is first and foremost what Bleecker St is all about, you just can't get this kinda patty anywhere else.
T. G.
The tastiest burger in London! I always try to find reason to get to Spittafields market in order to eat from the Bleecker!
A. C.
I took away a cheeseburger from the Canary Wharf 'branch' with fries. The burger itself was only okay for two reasons. The patty itself was on the thin side and the whole 'package' was too soft and soggy. I think the buns need to be firmer to hold the whole burger together better. As a regular of The Butchery in Bermondsey, I had high hopes for the burger. The fries were fine.
C. K.
Summary: Best American-style burger in London by a mile. I’ve eaten pretty much everything London has to offer and while I go back to some, I’ve been to Bleecker nearly 100 times. Never disappointed, always satisfied.
There are many burger joints in London, in fact far more than there ever used to be, and some would argue too many. In a city with so much choice, it can be difficult to decide where to go when there are so many people advocating their favourites. The answer is a simple one, if you want a burger that actually tastes like a burger rather than myriad of crazy and unnecessary toppings out there nowadays, then this is the burger for you.
The burger itself is reasonably simple. The classic double Bleecker is a double 4oz patty, each topped with a cheese slice, and a charred slice on onion in between. Sauce comes in the guise of a homemade burger sauce that it richer than what most people are used to, with sharpness from the blitzed gherkins. The bun is equally surprising. Eschewing the now ubiquitous brioche, Bleecker uses a milk-based bun that is light and fluffy, slightly sweet but remains a neutral background for the beef.
The thing that sets Bleecker apart is the quality of the beef. Supplied by one of the best butchers in the country (thebutchery Ltd), the ground beef is a unique blend of cuts from some of the highest quality grass-fed cows. The fat content is pushing way north of 30%, but you don’t eat burgers if you are counting calories. The fat gives the burger an almost buttery, rich taste. You can add bacon for a salty kick, as well as upgrading to a Bleecker Black - the eponymous double burger divided by a slice of Clonakilty beef (yes beef), black pudding. Don't be a wimp - it's less adventurous than you think, the pudding complements the beef more subtly than you think. The effect is overwhelmingly brilliant. I’d also note it won the nationwide Burger Bash competition.
It’s hard to stress the quality without sounding disingenuous, especially as the owner is a friend. However I should clarify that the only reason I became friends with her was because I kept coming back, over and over again, for the burger. It was the burger than won my friendship and I think it’ll win yours too.
a. p.
really good burger, great sweet potato fries. but i still like Honest Burger better, especially the pulled pork burger. also, this particular branch is just a stand at the market. hard to find seat during lunch hours.
A. B.
Great burgers an contact free ordering system!
N. N.
One of the best burgers in London. I recommend the double cheeseburber and chips for 11.50. It really baffles me that someone would choose to pay more at a chain like Byron rather than go to a great independent place like this.
C. O.
EXCELLENT BURGER! The meat is just nice, the buttery buns are perfect, and the cheese is brilliant. Unfortunately, they move around London so much that I rarely find it when I want to. Perhaps its mysterious location heightens the satisfaction of a meal?
N. R.
Headed to their pop up spot on the Southbank over the weekend, which is on The Queen's Walk under Hungerford Bridge. Went for a double cheeseburger, fries and a Brooklyn Lager. Have to say that it was possibly the most tender and juiciest burger I've ever had. Almost went back there a couple of hours later for another it was so good, but resisted the temptation. Super friendly staff, fab burgers and decent selection of beers. Reckon I'll struggle to find a better burger in town. Will be visiting here again soon!
D. F.
I’ve had this at a street feast and at Kerb market. I recently went to their new Spitalfields branch and the consistency is still very good. A perfect medium rare burger with a seeded bun. Of course added blue cheese to the burger, which I love. And bacon. Always have bacon.
T. F.
I got a a cheeseburger and fries from the Southbank branch, it was amazing! The bun was like a cloud, lovely, soft and light. While the patty oozed juice onto the bun and fries. An excellent burger and superb service! I will definitely be returning!
P. B.
Definetely the best, no spécial sauce or spécial extra needed, just that Amazing meat !
S. S.
Great burgers. Not very consistent with service and taste. Worth a try
Ñ.
The hamburger is nice but the size is too small .. it tastes is good with onion and the cheese but the MEAT too fat .. if you are looking for an hamburger that is quality - prize this is not your burger because is a lit bit expensive for the size
E. J.
The burgers are great, but they're little on the small side (it is sustainable beef though). Make sure to buy two - or a double - if you want to be full up!
A. L.
The house fries are crisp and full of flavours, great for snacks
K. M.
Best burger you can get
M. T.
This burger is INSANE, Double is the way forward and always perfectly cooked however you choose to order. Make sure you have room for the Angry Fries too. Super friendly service from the team on the truck every time I have visited.
M. L.
Probably the best takeaway burger I've had. We went for the bacon double cheeseburger which was tender and delicious. Definitely recommend the house fries as well!
K. D.
If I could give it six stars, I would. My favorite burger in London hands down! The "Bleeker Black" is the king here - two medium rare (almost beef tartare quality) with a bit of black pudding between the patties. Genius.
C. R.
Burgers are juicy, full of flavour and tasty. The angry fries with blue cheese sauce and hot sauce are perfect... crispy, saucy and yummy. Love this place !!
P. C.
Best. Burger. Ever. Words cannot express how obsessed I am with Bleecker. Once got it every day for a week, then twice on the final day. If in doubt, Bacon Double.
M. Y.
I'm a San Francisco visitor and had one of my best burgers ever. The black pudding spread gave my Bleeker Black a great umami flavor. The 'angry fries' were nice as well coated with blue cheese and hot sauce. Went down nicely with IPA beer._
M.
I've had a couple of burgers from here now as has a buddy of mine. Very nice and juicy with flavor, but I find the burgers a bit too small considering the price, however I do still recommend!
J. E.
Best burger van around. Really friendly team running it, really tasty burger. Not badly priced. The Bleeker Black is definitely up there on the top burgers in London list.
L. P.
A long time I thought 'The Fat Tui' (Marahau, New Zealand) would be the absolutely best burger you can eat on this planet. Actually 'Fat Tui' is incredible, everything is homemade and organic, brilliant sauce. It's nice, fresh and tastes just delicious. BUT then I tried the Bleeker Black. Which is just mince, cheese and onion. Meat was somewhere between medium rare and english. The taste was enormous! This simple Burger was just perfect! You see you can't compare 'Fat Tui' and the Bleeker Burgers, they are too different. I just want to say: try the Bleeker St Burger! The 'Bleeker Black' is astonishing! Well, actually I had to try another burger after that, because it was so good.
M. M.
I queued with colleagues for 40 minutes in Spitlefields for one of Bleecker St Burger mouth watering, delicious, tasty bacon burgers today and I wasn’t disappointed. Well actually we were as we all could have had 2nd helpings.
The burger was BIG on flavour, light as a feather and utterly gorgeous. The fries delicious and the bun perfect.
A winning combination anyday of the week.
THANK YOU FOR A TRULY MAGNIFICANT GASTRANOMIC EXPERIENCE. Tired legs, but happy tummy.
A new fan and wanting more. Can’t wait to sample more. PS: Lovely staff too.
P. J.
I call this place the OMG Burgers because oh my God they are so goo, probably the best burger in London! I especially love the "Bleeker Black" which is a double beef, double cheese burger with black pudding, onion and sauce cooked medium rare. The black pudding makes it soooo good, get it.
C. P.
Putting it up there as the best burger in London. I'd also go so far as to say the strawberry milkshake the best in London..it actually tastes like Strawberries. Highly recommended.
T.
The music was blasting, the girl at the till was dancing and singing and very welcoming drawing me right in, she was helpful and enthusiastic and honestly brightened a very dreary day, the the beautiful burger came out without too much wait and its was just oozing flavour and was succulent to the core. What a wonderful experience.
R. J.
There's nothing better than a pop-up that becomes permanent. From MeatLiquor to Senor Ceviche, when an idea gains momentum, good press and the all-important backing to set up shop and open bricks and mortar, you know you're onto a good thing.
Last year was unequivocally the year of the burger. Everywhere you looked, toasted brioche and pulled pork were making an appearance and things were getting a little stale but there was always one name that shone through the crowd. So much so that I can't believe it's taken me until now to finally check out Bleecker Street Burger. Starting life in a van, then at Street Feast and Hawker House, and now in its own small but perfectly formed stall in Spitalfields Market, Bleecker Street brings New York style patties to London's streets.
We headed down for a post-work bite in the week, overjoyed that we could comfortably sit on the benches outside without feeling like we were in the Arctic, and ready for some serious meat. It was too tempting to order the same thing but in the quest for best burgers, we had to sample more of the menu so I chose the Blue Burger which turned out to be a beautiful combination. A gloriously rare patty topped with melted blue cheese and lettuce all sandwiched in a non-brioche bun - the rich flavours of the protein melted in unison and the bun managed to resist a breakdown and hold itself together right til the very end. Bonus points to Bleecker.
But what really stole the show was the Bleecker Black. Two signature patties with cheese and the ultimate black pudding - a monumental achievement in burger brilliance that we quickly declared to be one of the best things we've ever put in our mouths. Coupled with the angry fries (crispy fries liberally doused with hot sauce) and a couple of cans of Brooklyn, we are now completely hooked.
I had high expectations following the hype but to have them surpassed is a really nice surprise. A definitive five out of five and many definite return visits on the cards.
S. L.
DEFINITELY the best burger in UK...
Multiple places around London...
Viva Bleecker
P.
Maybe one of the best burgers ever
R. C.
Had the bleecker black. Quite small for the price. Well cooked burger as expected but a little salty and greasy. All in all a decent tasty burger but a notch below patty and bun and stokey bears.
A.
Big fan of Bleecker - burgers are the best but would love it if they were a bit bigger!
R. J.
The staff worked really quickly and effectively. I wasn't that impressed with the good though. Both the burger and the sweet potatoe fries were a bit plain sadly.
J. T.
When I chance upon this food truck almost a year ago, I was like, “this is really awesome”. A year on when I came back, a big banner runs across that screams, “The Best Burgers in London - TimeOut London”. Yeah I had a full dinner but what the heck.
C. C.
I have never left a google review in my entire life and I had to make an exception here.
The Bleecker Black is the best item of food I have ever eaten. I'm not going to describe it. Just take £10 to their pop up in Dalston and try it. Absolute ecstasy. Perfection. Try it.
E. A.
Hands down the best burgers in London
W. M.
Well cooked, flavourful burger and perfectly crispy bacon. The burgers extras are kept subtle enough that you can still taste the quality of the meat.
O. K.
If you're coming to London, you have to factor in a visit to Bleecker Street Burger. I've travelled around the world, and had many a burger, but nothing comes close to this. The meat is the perfect mix of medium rare. Have with a side of angry fries (fries with blue cheese and buffalo sauce) and a brooklyn beer and you'll be in burger heaven.
They've just got a spot in Spitalfields, so head to Bleecker when you're exploring London's East End. This burger will have you coming back to London again and again!
S. H.
Burgers are too small for £6
Hot fries are covered in a tabasco and blue cheese sauce.
Not everyone's taste but I like it.
T. P. (.
Amazing! Sooooo tasty my new favourite burger in London.
M. M.
South Bank - One of the best burgers in London. Huge amount of fries in a portion too.
Old Spitalfields Market - Just as good, not as many fries though.
L. L.
My favourite so far! No compromise on the quality of the ingredients. The Blue Burger is to die for. Tasty milkshakes too
J. C.
One of the best cheeseburgers in London hands down but four stars due to the discontinuation of the Bleecker Black, the best burger I've ever had.
S.
Hands down one of the best burgers in the world. Been going here for around 6 years or so and it never fails. Bangs.
L. G.
Very nice meaty burger 🍔
a.
So far the best burgers in London. Juicy beefy cheesy burger .. drinking nice pint of Brooklyn lager .. everything perfect . Costumers service and staff amazing . Thanks Bleeker
L. G. C.
Tried a few times and I just dont get on with their burgers, not good value, not good flavour. Milkshakes are ace though which saved some stars
D. S.
Visited their newly pimped out container at Southbank (under the Railway bridge on the Thames Path). The Bleecker Black is by far the tastiest Burger I have had in a long while, So juicy i didn't want it to end. Washed down by a great selection of American beers and IPAs which made a great relief from every other bar in southbank that seemed to only stock one less than average beer. Well worth a visit.
U. U.
Hands down the best burger of all time!! So tasty and juicy!!
W. L.
This isn't the sort of place where you'll get a burger loaded down with loads of rubbish that doesn't actually make it taste better, staked together like some sort of meaty vampire. Instead you get a quality burger that actually tastes amazing.
No pickled gherkins, but the burger sauce provides the right level of sourness to cut through the grease of the meat and cheese.
A little bit disappointed that they only do the burgers well done (apparently they used to do them medium-rare as a good burger should be), but the overall burger was still incredible.
One of the best burgers I've had for ages. Super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
M. H.
Best burgers in East London. Chips are nice too. Bit pricey though
E. W.
Great customer services, good music. I had the double blue burger and house fries. It was amazing. I will definitely recommend it for a meal.
J. P.
Great food but very crowded and slow at lunch times
D. D.
Lo and behold one of the greats.
Not quite m the Ribeye burger at Tommi's Burger Joint but very close.
Bleecker Black is quite the burger and angry fries are a must.
A little too salty but that is why the lord invented Ale. Mmmm
S. D.
The burger itself was tasty enough, just way overpriced for what you get, and a huge wait time during lunch.
R. R.
Maybe I had a bad experience but the burger was tiny and without flavor. I like my burgers medium but this burger just felt badly grilled. Perhaps the quality has gone down in the Spitafields outlet.
J. M.
My favourite burger in town. The black bleecker is all that a burger should be. Juice, salty, meaty, the black pudding in the middle. Well worth the visit. Try the chips as well.
L. L.
The burger I had was absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricey but still fair considering the location and the quality of the food. I recommend!
V. c.
Great burger, must try!
L. C.
Not a fan of small expensive burgers. A shame really considering all the good reviews
y. p.
Absolutely The best burgers I never had, delicious food, friendly staff and clean.
Please keep it up 👌👌
P. S. S.
The Bleecker Black is, in my opinion, London's best best burger. 2 juicy beef patties sandwiching a delicious slab of black pudding.
S. L.
Best burger in London. So sad I don’t live nearby anymore but still travel sometimes to get one of these amazing burgers.
B. E.
Ignore the 1 star ratings....this place is delicious
C. S.
Bleecker have successfully transplanted what makes their burger van so good into a stall, ensuring that burgerites will have a fixed place to make a pilgrimage to if they want to see what all the fuss is about. I will no doubt be back for more soon!
G. C.
you can't sell a small patty for 9-10 pounds without fries. it is indeed excellent, but you could go cheaper nowadays.
P. B.
Top 10 burger 🍔 in london
Can not go wrong
C. M.
Came here as a result of not being able to get a spot in Burger & Beyond. It just isn't the same standard as B&B.
B. Z.
Nice burger!
O. F.
Great burgers, the patties are fantastic in both texture and flavour however they are a bit small.
J. Z.
Had the amazing burgers from Bleecker at Bloomberg and after trying the ones from Spitalfields I can say that bleecker keeps the quality of food and customer service throughout the stores!! Keep up the good work guys.
K. J.
Delicious, delicious burgers!
(Rather ask for 2x2, than 4x Burger as it is full of fat and taste, which spill over fingers)
Delicious burgers I am sayin'
S. K.
Though the price is a bit steep, the burger justifies it. Still in my opinion the best burger in London.
K. R.
The burgers are really juicy and fresh, I would recommend the bacon and cheese burger add the bacon was crispy and delicious.
v. a.
Blue Cheese extra Patty is by far Best Thing in Universe.
M.
one of the best burgers i've had in years. staff were enthusiastic , if i could afford to i would invest in it to see it outside of london
k. m.
I can only assume that the patty is marinaded overnight in the Dead Sea and then grilled on the backs of some sun parched Anchovies. Yep it’s salty.
This burger is so salty if it sees you on tinder it will swipe left.
This burger is so salty my tears tore my tear ducts.
K. F.
I've tasted a lot of burgers - too many, actually. But these guys.. A double cheese with Bacon. The best burger I've ever had!
L. H.
The best burger I have ever had anyway, it's actually ruined other burgers for me. Definitely track them down (they are regularly at KERB).
S. D.
Excellent burger and "angry chips". Probably one of the best burgers I have eaten out. Lovely people serving too!
C. D.
Amazing place to eat the best burger in London, juicy meat and good flavours for the burger and with the new strawberry milkshake for the summer !! I’m addict !
M. S.
This place lives up to all the hype that the food blogs keep heaping on it, wow.
The bleaker black and angry fries were bloody good, but have to say I preferred the fries out of the two.
Unbelievable Jeff!
C. D.
I had a fantaboulous burger there today , been a very long since i tasted such a burger , taste buds were super happy .
Delish
D. C.
Burger - great. Not huge, but satisfying by virtue of being tasty.
Fries - not great. Little things, hard to eat and no fun to dip.
Expensive for what you get.
T. E.
The Bleecker Burger is a favourite in my search for great burgers on mye travels. Tried the Bleecker a couple of times, and I will be back for another one, when I get the chance.
R. F.
The burger is 5 stars.
Not having an internal space takes a star off.. in winter it's not great to sit outside and freeze the food.
L. C.
The burger I had was amazing and I also had a vanilla shake. Would recommend to anyone who likes a proper burger.
R. T.
Excellent burgers, great chips, always consistent !
J. H.
The bacon double cheeseburger was the best I've had in ages!💪
S. K.
Undoubtedly one of the best cheeseburgers in London.
R. F.
The burger is affordable and delicious but quite small, so make sure you get it double with fries!
D. R.
The Bacon Double - the best burger in the UK (narrowly pipping MEATliquor in my opinion). The patty is the most flavoursome you can get with just the right level of juiciness-perfect.
Some reviews here giving one or two stars are deluded people that got this burger on Deliveroo-come on! you can’t expect a burger, that’s been cooked over 10mins ago and put on the back of a bike and weaved through the traffic of London to taste good-you are lucky it’s still edible at all! Go to the stall and eat it there.....you can thank me after-otherwise you are wasting your time.
i. V.
This bloke underneath is chatting absolute s**t. Genuinely one of the nicest burgers I have had and I've been to them all, a sure contender to honest burger and patty & bun
V. S.
Fresh products, but way too slow. Very expensive considering the burgers are very small. Not going back, better trying other places nearby!
I.
The burger and the fries were absolutely delicious. Just wish the burger was of a bigger size though!
M. V.
Best burger and nice staff!
L. S.
INCREDIBLE burgers. My biggest complaint is that I find myself over-consuming. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better burger (literally anywhere on this planet).
J. B.
Another great burger joint , you know exactly what you going to get and that is a nice juicy burger and amazing fries.
S. A.
Ignore the people below whining and leaving one star reviews about burgers being greasy or "raw". This place is not for people who like overcooked, dry and bland burgers. If you want the best burger in London, flavoursome, juicy and medium …
N. R.
Headed to their pop up spot on the Southbank over the weekend, which is on The Queen's Walk under Hungerford Bridge. Went for a double cheeseburger, fries and a Brooklyn Lager. Have to say that it was possibly the most tender and juiciest …
L. C.
The burger I had was amazing and I also had a vanilla shake. Would recommend to anyone who likes a proper burger.
E. K.
On the taste of the burger it's a 5 star. However, size and cost is a let down
M. W.
Awesome burger, open when everyone else was closing down so that was a plus
W. M.
Well cooked, flavourful burger and perfectly crispy bacon. The burgers extras are kept subtle enough that you can still taste the quality of the meat.
i. V.
This bloke underneath is chatting absolute s**t. Genuinely one of the nicest burgers I have had and I've been to them all, a sure contender to honest burger and patty & bun

L. K.
Best burgers in London!
C. H.
One of the best burgers in London. Legit.
J. B.
Good burgers, but the delivery time of the burgers is unorganised and incredibly slow. It's been 20-25 minutes and still waiting
K. T.
Sometimes this place is great, sometimes it's not so good. If you order a take away don't get fries, they are always disappointing.
S. S.
Love the burgers here. chose the double check this time around and it was melt in the mouth good
J. C.
seriously ignore any review under 5 stars. THEE best burger you will ever eat.
C. v. E.
Absolutely amazing, best burger in London

C. S.
The burger tastes amazing, but it's actually pretty small.

Excellent burger but only outdoor space to seat, not ideal in the cold

Amazing burger! It is just hard to find a seat and very windy venue.
S. F.
Amazing burgers. Will be much better once they get indoor seating!
R. B.
Stood in a long que for what was ultimately a mediocre burger, paying restaurant prices and all the great reviews I expected a bit more.
J. J. S.
Delicious juicy burgers. The patties are not huge though so might be worth going for a double.
M. S.
