Reviews of Bodean's Tower Hill
M. B.
I’ll give a 10/10 to this restaurant.
Service very friendly (thanks Liketta) and the food was very good. We had the nachos, the coleslaw, the burnt ends and pulled pork (amazing :D) and the hot dog (one with cheese and the other with grilled onions). Although we had as well the cream corn 🌽 I don’t recommend it.
£64 with soft drinks in total and you finish very satisfied and full.

Hell yes. This place was a pleasant suprise highlight of my trip to London. The brisket was superb - fatty, rich and melts in your mouth - along with flavourful ribs and the truffle mac&cheese (a must-order) which complements our meats fantastically. American style ambiance of TV blaring out sports adds to the authenticity. Drink prices were dangerously reasonable. Great place when you're craving BBQ.
S. W.
Not a terrible place, the restaurant has a standard American vibe to it, with the booths, music and decor. The staff weren’t that great though. Front of house was nice but our server seemed impatient and a bit grouchy to be honest.
Food on the other hand was pretty good, at least with its flavours. Although we ordered the pit boss platter, which was supposed I be a selection of lots of things (and cost £56 for the two of us), but it all looked clumped together with no real differentiation in its plating to be able to figure out what we had. I reckon it’s to disguise that some things were lacking - like the pulled pork and chicken seemed non-existent and the “thick cut slices of brisket” were two slices that weren’t thick at all. Also, sadly it came out only lukewarm, almost like it had been sat out for a while and not freshly cooked (or at least just out the smoker). Shame really but wouldn’t come back again for the price.

What a fantastic smoke House. Staff is amazing, fast and know the menu. Food it 100% made to perfection. Definitely recommended when close to Tower of London
Go and eat! Now
L. S.
Deliciously tasty and reasonable food. You'll leave completely full whilst simultaneously wishing you could have more. The atmosphere is unique and suitable for all sorts of guests. To top it off theres bloody good cocktails too.
J. R.
Food was yummers, music was exceptional but I'm a grunge baby and don't think it gets played enough in public places annnnnd we just so happened to be there in time for happy hour. Yay! I was after ribs and oh boy did I get them. I would definitely go again.
T.
First time here. Walked in and it was fully booked (good sign). We sat at the bar which was perfectly acceptable. The food came promptly and was really good and tasty. The bar lady was spot on with the service.
Definitely coming back (with a booking).
J. D.
One of my favourite restaurants in London.... the staff are incredible. They bend over backwards to make sure you have the best time. If I can I always go here after work. Excellent place with a taste of America. As for the food well.... I cannot get enough. 10/10
N. M.
Great food. Great service. I'd happily recommend. Had the platter with sides for two. Was more than enough
N. B.
Fabulous place! Seen it several times, but never been in. We are very disappointed to have missed out all these years! The atmosphere is great, even when it's quiet. The food is delicious and really good portions. The price is brilliant considering the location. We will definitely be back... repeatedly!
A. S.
Excellent and really quick service, staff were all really friendly and the food was amazing! I recommend this place if you are looking for grilled meat😋
J. R.
I came with my partner on our weekend away. Would highly recommend.
It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Our server was amazing and very helpful. Massive compliments to the chef for such fantastic food! Everything was cooked perfectly, down to the sauces, which were also amazing. My other half even bought a bottle of the chipotle sauce to take home.
Our first time here, but we will definitely be back.
Thank you !
A. H.
Bodean’s Tower is a very friendly and warm place. Excellent service, well organized, great tastes. The food is awesome. Don’t eat anything all day if you are going there cause you know you will enjoy food to the maximum. Lots of beer brand to choose from and TVs surrounding the sitting area to enjoy your favorite ball game. Overall, not that expensive, especially if you are eating platter for two. A great experience in the heart of London
t.
The best place for amazing BBQ food. Great service, a brilliant selection of starters/mains/sharer plates for all. I had a pulled pork and baby back rib main course with chilli cheese fries and it was epic. Photo included. I visit here every time I go to London. Would definitely recommend.
J. M.
Been to Bodeans a couple of times, nice to see some vegan items on the menu. The Vegan Cheese burger and chips was very tasty and the chips were crispy so I was happy. Some of us had trains to catch so it was nice to be able to preorder as we were quite a large table
W. T.
A great bbq place, albeit quite expensive for what it is.
The food was nice, the service OK, but I could not help but feeling it was slightly over priced, even for London.
A. W.
Food is absolutely amazing, service is spot on, price is right. This should be a 5 star but automatically adding a 12% service charge let’s it down (if the service charge was there I would of tipped more than 12%)
Anyone in London wanted American style BBQ get yourself over to Bodeans.
R. K.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner with a large group. Best part of the evening was being able to watch the NFL, the food was acceptable but not fantastic. Very large portions on sharing plates which meant lots of leftovers to take home. The caesar salad starter was average. The meat and veg main was better but struggle to give it more than 3 stars.
D. M.
This is our second visit to Bodeans and the second time our experience has been let down by poor service.
First time the we were seated downstairs and after getting our initial drinks our starter arrived promptly and was very tasty (rack of ribs between two). Unfortunately after about 45 minutes the waiter came back very apologetic and explained that he had forgot to put our mains through. To be fair to him he got us a free round of drinks while we waited. Our food when it came was excellent. I have to say the waiter was first class and if I’m honest I got the impression he was taking the blame for something having gone wrong at the kitchen side.
Last night we went back again, we didn’t have a booking so we were seated in the bar. Drinks came quickly as did our starter (very nice beef nachos). Unfortunately after waiting an hour and a half for our steak mains we left. Felt sorry for the bar staff who were very apologetic but it seems they just keep piling people in to the restaurant without being able to cope with the numbers. We weren’t the only customers let down, we saw at least 2 plates returned to the kitchen due to the food being cold.
It’s a pity, food here is superb but for me service is half the game…..
S. c.
From booking a table and having excellent customer service from Eli & Hamish, to the food and team tonight - everything was fantastic.
Brilliant atmosphere with the football this evening and even being busy the service was quick, friendly and lovely food and drinks.
Thanks for a brilliant evening 😀

EDIT: 18/06/21
Bodeans was previously my go to place for BBQ but after visiting last week I’m incredibly disappointed. The food was average at the very best. Chicken was bland, burnt ends were tough, ribs were the best part but not amazing, and the pulled pork was also underwhelming. On top of that, the service was hit and miss as well, which annoys me even more when they apply a service charge to the bill. I really hope this place can up its game to how it was once upon a time.
Previously:
The foods simply super, if you want BBQ then this is the place to go to when up in London! I would recommend this branch in particular though, it's never overly busy and the staff are always so nice! Although, given the chance I would say book ahead so you don't miss out!
S. J. N.
The quality of the food isn't what is used to be in the past. The burnt ends and the pulled pork were dry and the coleslaw had an unpleasant chemical like taste. The chicken thighs and the spare ribs were good.
L. M.
Our waiter on this visit was fabulous. We never had to try and get his attention for drinks etc. He was very attentive.
The food was lovely as always. I know most people visit for the hot meat but it's worth trying the cream corn as a side!
D. M.
Popped in last night for a late bite. Excellent burger and the best 0% IPA I’ve ever had. Staff were really helpful and attentive. I will add, shortly after I arrived a customer left who had clearly had too much to drink. He was rude and aggressive towards the staff and I think they handled it brilliantly.
D. W.
First trip to Bodeans, needed a brisket fix, Told no tables yet my entire 90 minute visit there were vacant tables and walkins being seated stating they had no bookings, didn’t mind eating in the bar though. Order the £17 brisket meal, I was served chips, coleslaw and three paper thin slices of dry brisket about the length of a teaspoon, also ordered BBQ beans and got creamed corn, which they did switch. Bit underwhelming to be honest, bbq shacks in soho pile the thick cut brisket for less, so all in was left quite disappointed.
Update 18/02 - happy to say Bodeans latched onto this review and have been in contact to discuss and sort out a return visit voucher to see that they have rectified the issues. Bravo Bodeans looking forward to being impressed next time!!
J. N.
Rrally nice food served in an american style diner. They offer up a meat lovers menu in abundance. The portions can be hit and miss. I've always been full but a diner said his was too small. It was the burnt ends beef and pork that was too small. The one with just beef was spot on. Another diner couldn't finish his. Great for a lunch with friends. Staff were helpful and had a smile on their face. Well priced for this day and age. I'll be back to try out more of the menu. Recommended.
S. B. (. E.
good food, nice staff, happy hour almost everyday (I think/)
G. J.
Can't fault the food. The sharing platter is great value for money. Didn't like having to scan a QR code to be able to view the menu. Our waiter on the day was fairly unengaged with little enthusiasm. Restaurant itself was clean and spacious.
M. B.
Incredible food at a decent price. Visited whilst on a business trip and we all agreed the food was way above average. The staff were attentive and seemed to enjoy the work they were doing. Very friendly. Can't wait to visit again in a few weeks.
A. D.
Amazing food, one of the best meals I have had in London. I had 1/2 chicken, pulled pork & sausage, the meat was cooked to perfection. Good selection of drinks. Busy so worth booking ahead.
L. D.
Amazing food and amazing service!
M. P.
Can't go wrong eating here. Been a few times and always get the BBQ platter. Nice mix of meats to try all cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Meat just falls off the bone. Will definitely go back again.
A. H.
Spence was absolutely fantastic, on his trial shift. He’s a natural and a genius. What a guy.
J. J.
It was nice, but it was empty at the time i visited, I think that contributed to the food not being as nice as it was the previous times I went. The chips seemed over cooked and the ribs were dry!! The pulled pork, chicken and everything else was still really good!!
The service is great as well.
I would definitely go back again!!
D. K.
A bustling and friendly American style BBQ shack. As you would expect, portion sizes are good and food was tasty. The place can get busy so it's a good idea to reserve a table or area in advance. There are quite a few screens showing live sports too which is great when footie is on. Myself had the BBQ jackfruit home style meal which was a tad too sweet but the BBQ flavour was great, you can always add hot sauce or other condiments to make it more to your liking. BBQ beans and fries on the side completed the meal. My friends had a game Day special which is a large plate of quite a lot of meat, fries and a beer for £15, which was great value.
C. N.
The food was delicious!! Service was good too. We were seated downstairs. Noisy and busy atmosphere but with TV screens showing footy tonight. It was a great experience and we would go again.
B. M.
Fantastic value for money, good quality food, and attentive staff!
Prices are very reasonable for what you get too.
G. O.
Excellent spot for an unforgettable friends- and-family rendezvous. Prompt and helpful service by all staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my order: burnt ends with texan sausage....awesome!
It was worth the long ride
P.S: Special thanks to Gabriel and Isi for making Yemi's birthday a memorable one!
A. O.
When I entered the first thing hit me was the good smell of food. It's the one you smell when you're in a BBQ party. I loved it(5 stars) . The place was busy but we could get a table easily(5 stars) . The service was great all the time(5 stars). I had a beef burger with extra patty, cheese and bacon. It was one of the best burgers I had ever eaten. My friends had Jacob's ladder ; burnt ends with pulled pork ; and a half chicken. They loved the taste of their food. (5 stars for the food too).
I recommend you to go there. You probably won't regret it!
D. T. K.
Excellent hosts. Seated very quickly and please do visit if you have an appetite. It's fantastically flavourly and fulfilling. Three F's for this! Great atmosphere to watch football or cricket with multiple screens. Very good pricing but there are better steak houses warranting your extra hard earned money if you want something premium but this is a great family visit. Please do try the burnt ends -Recommended.
t. H.
Absolutely amazing, food was great, service was great, would definitely recommend this restaurant if you need a meat fix.
Will definitely be coming back
Thank you
M. W.
Food was very good and service was quick. Only downside was we had to wait in order to be seated but the food made up for that. Would definitely go back again.
C. N.
Quite noisy as the tables are packed in inches apart. Ordered the 1/4 chicken and friend ordered the chicken thighs, had clearly not been cooked to order as it arrived within 10 minutes. Tasted a little of plastic and was quite dry. After being chased up twice, our sides finally arrived about 5 minutes after we had finished eating our main course and were thinking about ordering dessert. Had the brownie to finish and the ice cream was awful quality, the "chocolate fudge brownie" seemed to be just a square of chocolate brownie, not sure where the fudge came into play.
Pretty cheap as London restaurants go, and quick to eat at, but don't expect decent food or service.
L. K.
Really amazing ribs. The burnt ends were really delicious, such a great surprise. I would highly recommend a visit if you are keen to get your fingers sticky with some awesome smokey BBQ ribs.
G. B.
First visit tonight, was ok, good choice on the menu, went for the burnt bits with pulled pork. The only negative was the food wasn't very warm. The chips were fine, but the meat could have done with been a bit warmer. Overall ok, service was good, speedy delivery, just be advised a 12.5% service charge is automatically added.
D. R. R.
Good BBQ in London, who would have though that would exist? It isn't a myth though. I had the Mac & cheese balls and a pulled pork sandwich with beans as my side. Both had good flavor and satisfied my craving for something different in London.
T. U.
I love 💖 Borden’s ! The original Tex Mex joint to come to the UK. So how do they measure up against all of the pretenders. They still have the crown for me. The decor is great with attention to detail. Even the door has a pig handle. From ribs, burgers and chicken. It’s all tasty. The service is great and kids eat free from 12-3pm.
A. W.
Just love bbq! So of course i had to try it. I ordered a platter to try a variety of their bbq. Overall taste and quality was good. But didnt have the wow or unique flavors i would of liked to experience. However the staff were super accomadating. My kid was sleeping in his stroller so they took us to a back corner where i can park him while we ate. Even though it was blocking one of their stations they made due and worked around him. Great service.
A. H.
Great BBQ Joint in London. The burnt ends are Texas style with good spice bark, an even smoke flavor, and quality cut. The ribs and chicken fall of the bone. The texas sausage and pulled pork have good spice and flavor. Order the Boss Hog platter to get the perfect portions to share with fries and Cole Slaw. Don't forget the dessert with the banana split or milkshakes.
A.
Attentive staff, huge portions and great service. Food was amazing as always. I find the Tower Hill branch of Bodeans is by far the best!
D. W.
Cannot fault it, staff absolutely superb, and the food is brilliant. Honestly, if you can get in go visit. Great place
N. F.
Very good food, friendly staff, family atmosphere, gladly again on our next visit to London! 👍
J. P.
Just can't beat the game day special for value and taste.
L. W.
The place was somewhat loud. So if you are with anyone with sensitive hearing, I suggest you try another place.
Good selection of drinks.
The bbq (any meat), was falling off the bones. It was superb! The combo meals to share were great. We also ordered a side of tri-tip for a few pounds more. Amazing! This place is a KETO dieter’s heaven!
They have a huge downstairs dining area with tons of seating. You would never know by just looking upstairs when you walk in.
S. T.
I’ve been here a couple of times for dinner and it’s been a hit and miss just like the service. Depending on what you get will decide whether or not you have a good meal for dinner. Service is also a hit and miss because some workers are attentive and some you have to stand up and flag down. You may have to wait a while if you come around dinner time so be prepared to wait at the bar a bit. Seating here is also quite cramped so if you’re looking for more privacy I’d recommend requesting a seat upstairs.
Food here has been a huge hit and miss for me depending on what I get. For appetizers I’ve gotten the Mac and Cheese Balls, the chips with Chilli Con Queso, and the Chicken Quesadilla. They’ve all been good but my favorite would have to be the Mac and Cheese Balls. For the mail entree my husband and I have gotten the Beef Burger, the Boss Hog Dog, Burnt Ends, and Mac and Cheese. My favorite would have to be the Burnt Ends(which they’re known for) because of the perfect char and sweet BBQ sauce. I’ve also had the BBQ Chicken and BBQ ribs which were both dry and had a weird smell to them.
Overall Bodean’s is an ok BBQ restaurant but I feel like you pay more for the decor/ambiance rather than the food. I’d only come back here for the Mac and Cheese and Burnt Ends. There’s so many other BBQ/Smokehouse joints in London so I’ll still be looking for the best BBQ here.
T. E.
The food was good but the staff seemed uninterested. They weren't rude but they clearly didn't want to be there.
N. C.
Big hearty satisfying flavours at this American style BBQ joint. The restaurant looks a bit run down though and the flavours of the food are very similar, dish from dish. Some of the sauces were also over sweetened. Staff were good though and chatty.
K. F.
Good energy and plenty of screens if you're a sports fan. The food was delicious and there was a good range of cocktails. Staff were friendly. Only thing I would say is that I thought the sirloin was a bit on the small side for the price but it was tasty
L. C.
If you love 🍖 you'll love Bodeans. Food is so good, cocktails are awesome, and the Jack Danial's cider is amazing! Share a meat plater (ideally with someone who doesn't eat much, you'll get more delicious food that way)
B. W.
Smoked meats were A1 with a good service, nice setting. Only let down is a bit dated on the inside but would definitely go again
D. W.
Last minute passing visit, table for one, and managed to be seated along the window in the bar area. Ordered the beef burnt ends, wet (this means the kitchen apply the BBQ sauce), which arrived in 10 minutes, by a friendly smiling team member. Very filling and tasty plate of food. Didn't need to add any of the other sauces from the table as there was plenty on the meat.
Recommend booking as it always seems busy. There are at least 4 local pub/bars only a minute's walk from here which I imagine provides a lot of their custom.
Definitely recommend for smokehouse flavours.
S. K.
The sausage and the shrimp here is good. The hot sauce complements the meat well too!
J. M.
Food was amazing. Don't be put off at the size of seating area..downstairs it's like the tardis..
L. A.
Great and delicious food, I love the ambience this place has, and the cashiers were super nice. Will surely eat here again.
S. M.
Some of the best bbq food I've had. I will definitely be back
R. B.
Good atmosphere and tasty food. Beer is expensive if you are not used to London prices. Servings are good sized and special deals are great value e.g. match day special. Staff are friendly and helpful. Often a queue at peak times but if earing alone there is usually space at the bar.
B. W.
Pork heaven! We tried the "game day special" which was a great way to try a number of dishes in one. It included a half rack of baby-back ribs, buffalo wings, pulled pork, fries and coleslaw. The ribs were very succulent and tasty, and the wings we're sticky and delicious.
R. H.
Omg the food here, could have stayed all day. Burnt ends and pulled pork are the best
A. C.
Definitely worth a trip during happy hour (3pm-7pm Monday-Friday). The food was great and good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful without bothering you too much. The toilets could be cleaner in my opinion but that was the only downside.
A. E.
Great food, everytime I'm in London I try to come here. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is decent. Sharing platter for 2 gives a good range of different things to try and you won't leave hungry.
J. N.
Really enjoyed the burnt ends and ribs. Great tastes and friendly staff. The grilled watermelon main was disappointing in size and content, but generally pleased with the visit and will perhaps pick up one of their take home packs sometime in the future.
C. M.
One of my favourite bars. Shuffleboard good food and great beer. Fantastic knowledgeable staff and great vibes. Had my 30th there and was a fantastic evening - they're great. 5 stars well deserved.
Highly recommend
O. I.
Great food and good service and their keylime pie was amazing.
R. S.
The ribs were really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful too. It was a nice setting and scenery, opposite Tower of London. Service charge is added without consent I'm not too sure this is optional. The chips were really dry like they had been left out too long. I would still recommend the restaurant.
L. G.
Had our dinner here after arriving to the city. Food is great, staff is nice. Prices are more than reasonable (at least for me). Try their Bodean's house beer, it's simply perfect. Would visit again if I'm round there.
A. S.
This is THE PLACE if you look for meat. The portions are big and extremely tasty, the selection of beverages is also great. Waiters are hit or miss, unfortunately.
F. G. (.
If you like a selection of smoked meats all with there own flavours give this smoke House a try. The meats melt in your mouth and a platter is £15.00 per person. Excellent value with staff who look after you extremely well.
Well recommended and no hesitation giving this place 5 stars.
A. K.
Great atmosphere. Lovely wings in bourbon sauce. Great service. Ribs were delicious.
S. H.
Right in the heart of London, near The Tower of London, lies this little gem of a place. Next door there was a queue of people wanting to get into a famous chain of pub/restaurants but Bodeans was very quiet.
We've only been once before, on a previous London trip, and we're determined to go again this time and we're so glad we did.
Barbecued/smoked ribs, chicken, pulled pork, burnt-ends to die for!
Cool, relaxed atmosphere playing some cool blues music and the service was good too... what's not to like?
If the food sounds like your kind of thing then give this place a go.
We really enjoyed our evening here and will definitely go again next time we're in London... can't wait!
C. M.
Great food, and not too expensive for what you get. We managed to get a special which was a selection of different items from the menu, which was great value for money. Though regular menu items weren't too expensive.
Staff were friendly enough too.
Overall a nice experience, and we would go again.
R. C.
Great place for food really enjoyed it, authentic flavours and the meat just falls off the bone definitely will visit again
C. D.
Easily the best ribs I have ever eaten in my life. The Jacob's Ladder is a MUST for any visit. Excellent beer choice, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
R. S.
Have been eating at Bodeans Tower Hill for at least 10 years and currently they are serving the best food they've done in a decade. The only thing I would say is please go back to serving on plates, the beef ribs was magnificent but I didn't like the manky steel tray under it.
M.
Excellent place. First Time by chance. If you want great authentic American BBQ food this is the place to go. Staff are great and accommodating.
On top very reasonable price for the quality of food. You pay double to the amount at some other places.
Will defo come again
C. M.
Great meal.
The host did his best to get us a table for 5 on a really busy night (London Marathon)
Best food we've had over the long weekend in London.
M. M.
Bit expensive (both food and drinks) but the meats are generally amazingly tasty and melt in the mouth. Couple of times now the baby back ribs have come out drier and tougher than expected and the bbq sauce needs to be thicker and with more chilli heat punch (seems like it may be watered down) but that's just nit picking really. Like this place a lot. (Get the Jacob's ladder ribs!)
H. D.
Tasty meat!
Shared starter and shared main. The main for two was more than enough for three. Great seasoning on the fries.
Drinks were nicely alcoholic.
The loos could have done with a clean.
G. S.
Great pre game deal... Not sure I would pay normal menu price
M. A.
Great food and good service for our annual Superbowl party. Wings are very good and a few decent beers on offer too.
J. G.
Brill place, super tasty ribs and great staff .
Definitely recommend to anyone
D. M.
Always a great welcome. Excellent BBQ plenty of choice on the combos. Decent beer as well. And sport if you want it 🤓
W. T.
Always a good experience here - love the game day platter! Good prices and good food with a nice decor to match.
W. D.
The Angus steak was good, the beef burger not so much. The burger was dry and kinda burned, no cheese in it (it was an optional addition). Didn't like the American vibe in a British pub either.
D. G.
Nice food and drinks, interesting menu, lots of meat options. Good location for meal after work.
L. P.
A beautiful, smokey BBQ experience. Good cuts of meat cooked to perfection, plentiful portion sizes and pitchers of beer to compliment. Overall an excellent experience but be aware of London prices.
M. I.
Amazing food! I've got the Game Day Special and 8t totally worths it.
N. W.
Food was fantastic. Service was very good. A limited children's menu but my son enjoyed his chicken wings.
M. S.
Amazing food and top notch service. Will be back next time I'm in London
R. C.
The food was verg nice. Burger was very pink which is 💯 how it should be done. The issue i had was the 7 quid Sam Adams pint. Was alright but 7 quid ir a rip off. No two ways about it. I would go back but would have just a soft drink instead. Kost likely that will be 3 quid but we will see
A. M.
Excellent value for great tasting food. Definitely somewhere I'll be visiting again.
R. K.
We shared the 1lb pulled pork burrito between two- it was a large portion, and the pulled pork inside was really good. The service was quite fast, and they let us in even though it was 20 minutes till the closing time.
M. K.
Specialises in BBQ food. The food was quick and the staff were nice. The food is nothing to get excited about but was good value and filled a hole.
TLDR, cheap and quick.
S. C.
If you're in the mood for BBQ meat, it's hard to top this place. It's not exactly flashy but what it does, it does well. Particularly like the burnt ends.
D. H.
Excellent BBQ restaurant, quick service and great drinks
L. D.
Now they have a vegan menu, amazing! The vegan menu is very small, this particular branch literally only had one physical vegan menu, so I had to download it to my phone to check.
C. R.
Ok food and portion. Nice cocktails selection.
S. b.
One of our fav places to eat in London. Pretty expensive but worth it.
N. R.
Love this restaurant, amazing milkshakes, awesome BBQ food at great prices. Staff are great too!
D. K.
Food always good.Staff very friendly. Food portions slightly less than I remember, but still go back for those 'burnt ends'🙂
O. S.
I have no idea how this place got such a good rating. In my opinion it’s an overrated tourist trap. Food is OK but I’ve had much better BBQ. Coleslaw was almost tasteless. Beer selection is as mediocre as the food.
T. K.
Fantastic ribs and meat. Not sure why else you would come here. The beer is of a mediocre quality (both of my beers were borderline flat and tasteless) however I did not come to Bodean's for the beer. I came for those ribs which I consumed without any hesitation or thought to my well being in the future. Will come again
E. C.
Food is ok and reasonably priced. Vibrant atmosphere. Their espresso was a bit cold, though.
M. F.
A very pleasant environment with good service.
K. S.
Visited Bodeans Tower Hill on Saturday. We had a 30 min wait on a Saturday night so had a drink in a fue doors down, the restaurant gave me a call on time once a table was available. Would highly recommend the cheese balls starter! And the nachos with pork was gorgeous too. For a three course meal with drinks cost £116. Will definitely be coming here again!
O. C.
The burnt ends are exquisite. The best American BBQ restaurant in London hands down.
N. W.
Great food and service. Excellent beef burnt ends but ribs too dry
C. R.
The biggest portion of pork ribs in the UK. Delicious food, and good services. Highly recommend this restaurant!
L. L.
Good portion sizes. Friendly staff. Ribs are pretty good. Not super tender but just enough chew.
M. G.
Food was amazing. Service not too great
S. P.
Great place, spectacular food, great service! I have been to this restaurant twice and I simply love it 🤩
K. L.
Easily the best food I've had since arriving in London. I've already been here several times, and I plan on coming several more before I leave. 5/5 best barbeque in town.
S.
Service was a bit slow and the food wasn't as good as I have experienced there before.
M. w.
Good ribs, but slow service and not a great view of the rugby.
Y. G.
Good place for a casual lunch, dinner or friends meet-ups! Very good prices and just amazing when it comes to taste of food, bottles of wine are about 15-20£ , portion of delicious juicy wings ~9£ ! Food comes super hot and service is friendly!
Can get super busy during weekend so my advise to book , however pretty steady during weekdays 👋🏻
J. T.
Very satisfactory. Wasn't blown away and didn't meet my expectations. The meat was cooked to perfection but the BBQ marinade used for the ribs was awful.
J. H.
Really enjoyable food and great service 😁
M. K.
The food was amazing but the service was rude and slow.
B. T.
This restaurant is fantastic and spacious, the meals was delightful and the prices were very economical. quick, efficient service and very personal staff members. Highly recommended.
N. S. L.
Excellent cost-benefit, good beer, amazing food for meat lovers. Platters for 2, salads, combined plates and hamburgers, the bill is around 20 quit per person.
A. S.
Great food. The pulled pork and burnt ends are my favourites.
T. P.
Amazing American food. Great choice of beverages as well. They also do great offers during the week. Definitely worth a visit for any barbecue lover
P. B.
Very casual but definitely most amazing place for bbq in London , with decent prices and huge portions. You will not leave from here with an empty stomach. Place good for a casual date nigh or a family get together, you can also buy their meat to cook at home
A. M.
Food is brilliant and cocktails are amazing, I I would highly recommend here. We went back a second time because it was that good.
S. C.
Fantastic restaurant. Recommend booking ahead as it always seems busy. The sharing platters are great value and more than enough for two.
L. T.
Maybe it was because we were sat upstairs, but no where near the same atmosphere as the first time we went and food was not the excellent quality as last time. Wasn't bad, not worth complaining, just better places to go.
C. B.
Cant fault it, come here every year and the food is always great! The burnt ends are highly recommended
M. M.
Great smoke! Where else can you find tender, perfect barked BBQ Beef Ribs not in the US, right here, Excellent!!!
E. S.
Food was great and the service was excellent. Couldn't fault it
J. S.
Very good service and really nice food!
L. M.
Not great. Waited ages to order. Food wasn't very hot! Had better meals in the past.
L. P.
Lovely food, friendly staff and fast service!
My first time going to Bodeans and I would definately go again!
P. M.
Lovely, great food, relaxed atmosphere, felt like we were in a really good American diner.
K. F.
Great food and good service.
B. Z.
Consistently tasty, though naughty, meaty goodness. Good friendly service too.
Tonight the entertainment was a drunk lady who was owed something or other. Luckily I had noise cancelling headphones. Embarrassing.
M. F.
I went to this restaurant twice shortly after reopening and it was pretty good. Ordered through Uber Eats tonight and while the food was good the quantity of caesar salad and chips I received for the nachos were about 1/3 less than when i ordered the same items at the restaurant. Neither the salad nor tortilla chips even came close to filling up the container although they were both £1 more than what they are priced in the dine in menu.
C. R.
I really liked their dishes. I always get excellent service here. The place is always clean and the cashiers are always welcoming. Would recommend to others.
J. H.
Great service from the moment we walked in the door, and the food matched the service for sure
K. Y.
The best meal I've eaten in London. Good prices and service.
G. A.
Amazing bbq place. The burnt ends and beef ribs were delicious. Would recommend to any fans of American style bbq food.
G. P.
Staff are friendly, seated rather quickly and the food was top notch.. I couldn't eat it all!.. so filling
C. A.
Good food, service is a little lacking
M.
Lovely place, excellent food .. always recommend bodeans! Their BBQ sauce is to die for and i always buy a bottle when i visit
L. M.
Awesome set up for the super bowl.
G. T.
Great BBQ in London , lots of good meat cooked well and reasonably priced . Must be my 5 visit
D. J.
Tasty food, good selection of drinks, it can be a bit too loud at times, but great fun!
O. M.
The football was on! Great food, slow cooked meat. Taste like 'Reds' if your from up north. House beer a bit rough.
i. f.
Awesome food with a nice and comfortable place, the staff is really attentive, the food comes nice and fast.
D. A.
Great flavoured meats and love the BBQ burnt ends.. bit of a blokey type of place tho..
S. S.
Not the best but very good if you like American bbq
C. O.
Excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere. Great for a family meal. The beef burnt ends were superb and the pulled pork was also good quality. I thought the fries could have been crisper although the sweet potato fries received high praise. Very reasonably priced considering the location.
M. C.
Good price, nice food, a little scruffy in places. Good night out.
D. H.
Amazing food fantastic staff. Not cheap but prices accordingly for it's location and food quality. Only issue we had was a very large group of loud drunks were on the next table were not advised to keep the noise down at all. I came here for my birthday with my family and young son in the afternoon so I wasn't very pleased. Star rating is based on food and friendliness.
m. f.
Excellent food great service at a very good value for money price. Perfect beef ribs yummy yummy in my tummy 😋😋
J. J.
Fantastic food, the meat was perfectly cooked. The Boss Hog platter for 2 was to die for!!! We will be back!!!
D. L.
Food was outstanding 100% going again 😋 👌
E. B.
Great service. Friendly staff. Good food.
M. V.
They have a nice combo meal of chicken wings, pork ribs and fries, which is amazing (should be fine for 2 members)
1. S.
The food in there is quite expensive. I went to there with 2 people. It cost me £50
A. D.
This is a great little stopover if you want to enjoy classic american grill food with all the typical sports bar feel commonly seen in the states. ESPN is running pretty much all day or whatever relevant sports channel for a major US sports event.
The service from our experience was also typically american - very attentive friendly, fast & efficient. The food we had arrived promptly perfectly prepared steaks smashing pulled pork and tasty onions rings. We also had burnt ends which having ordered them with no knowlege expected something dark & crispy. It actually turned out to be soft chunks of pork but tasty non the less. Only thing I would say is the price was a little dear for what we got but I guess the service and quality made us make not too much fuss. Would go again for sure when in need of a meat fix.
M. L.
Went here after a business trip and sat at the bar. Staff were friendly and nice and service was quick.
I had a burger with pulled pork on top. I found the burger superbly cooked and was really good. The bread and pulled pork was a little dry though.
Food prices werent too bad but alcohol is steep even for London.
Overall I wouldn't mind having to go again and I would recommend for a decent lunch or tea.
A. V.
Great value for the price. Delicious ribs and marguerita!
E. B.
I like this place normally. Ordered pulled pork nachos, which to be fair were lush. But the main, which was the tri tip steak sandwich, well! Hmm, it was billed as being piled high with meat, Monterey jack cheese and onions. No cheese, one thin slice of meat. There were onions, and when I asked for cheese the waiter went and got some. But not the best frankly!! Dont believe the menu description. Rather disappointed with that one.
T. W.
The service is always fast, lovely mood, very friendly staff. Will visit again when I arrive nearby.
P. M.
Good service, great wings, reasonable prices for the area.
A. C.
I came here with my friend in June 2017. I told him that I really fancied steak and we decided to come here.
-First Glance-
At a first glance you think it is really small but there is a huge downstairs area so don't worry.
It is rustic looking and definitely looks like a steakhouse.
-Bar-
We had a few drinks first which were really tasty and the barman was friendly and welcoming. We mainly had the cocktails which were really nice.
-Food-
We ordered the New York Strip steak (rare) and it was absolutely delicious. It was cooked to perfection. Sometimes when I order a rare steak it is more medium rare but this one was cooked exactly like a rare steak should be cooked. The chips were really lovely and we had additional bits like the onion rings and mushrooms. The onion rings were tasty and you do get a lot of food.
I ordered a cookie dough cheesecake for dessert and it tasted beautiful. I only have a small stomach so I couldn't eat it all but it was delicious.
Everything came out quite quickly as well so there was no waiting around.
-Service-
The service here was great. The waitress was lovely and helpful when it came to ordering our food. They were all very welcoming. They ensured that we were enjoying our meal and having a good time without being too imposing.
-Thoughts-
I really enjoyed eating here. The steak was lovely and the service was as well. I will be coming back.

Tasty poutine and hot dog. Good BBQ food in London, can't go wrong with Bodeans.
J. W.
I actually enjoy the dishes and service, good location next to my residence. The cashiers are always nice. Will come back again.
s. d.
Prices were fair. We had a shared platter and all of the meat was perfectly cooked, really enjoyable.
The service was very good too, the waitress was attentive and friendly, and the resturant was clean, and comfortable.
Drinks were reasonably priced too.
Definitely recomend you give it a try.
M. F.
Delicious food at a reasonable price in the heart of London!! Visiting as a family of six, including a teenager, and we all enjoyed the food and the experience. At the entrance it looks more like a pub, not appealing to families, but underground there is the dinner salon with tables for all family sizes. We tried the nachos, the hamburgers, the burnt tips, the burrito and the brownie... everything was excellent! They also provide very fast and attentive service in a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
D. D.
Staff were very friendly, went on a Thursday for lunch and I we did not have to book there was only 2 of us. I ordered the half rack of ribs with corn on the cob. To be honest I think the place is over rated, i had heard good things about it so I was looking forward to it. But both the corn on the cob and the ribs tasted like they had been re-heated. The meat was not soft and tender as I had hoped. The chips were very nice and the coleslaw was lovely. It's good value for money taking into account the location. Not sure if I was just unlucky with the meat and the cob. My partner ordered the burger and asked for medium but it was more on the well done side, he liked it but glad he did not asked for it to be well done.
R. P.
Really good bbq food. Big selection. Great sauces. Craft beer. Lively atmosphere. Good service.
C. t.
Was a little bit disappointed to be honest. We ordered the shared Bodean platter and the meat definitely felt reheated, wasn't very tender and quite on the dry side. The chicken was very dry and not very enjoyable. The pulled pork was dry but dripping with oil at the same time. Chips were very nice and super tasty thankfully and their own brand lager is delicious. For the price of 40 Pounds (platter, 1 pint of beer and service charge) I would definitely expect better quality!
j. H.
Food was really good as was the house ale. Staff were really friendly.
J. O.
If you love meat and you love BBQ then this is the place for you. 🥰🥰🥰😀😀😀. However ... the prices could be a little less steep but highly recommend. Clean & tidy with welcoming staff. Also look out for offers such as kids eat free in certain restaurants at certain times. On a side note - The toilets in TOWER HILL BRANCH are unisex and smell vile. A deep clean is recommended as well as strong air freshener.
A. J.
The prices go up while the portions go down but Bodeans is still one of the better BBQ offerings in London. Staff / service is excellent.
B. H.
Friendly BBQ restaurant with a fairly deep menu and a good bourbon selection. Those from the south would balk at calling it true BBQ, but the meat is smoked, tender and flavorful. I had the beef burnt ends, which were really just small pieces of possibly extra cooked meat. I knew they would not be legitimate when the menu made no mention of them being limited in availability, but they were juicy, tender, extra smoked, and delicious. The prices are what you would expect from being across the street from a tourist hotspot, but it does scratch that BBQ itch in a pinch.
T.
Great food with flavour. Didn't have to wait after ordering.
S. D.
Outstanding food. Great value for money and excellent waiting staff. Highly recommended.
A. P.
Food was amazing. My husband insists it's in his top 3 BBQ places. Being as he comes from beef country I'd say that is a major compliment to the grill master. Felt right at home in the establishment and was a great meal to finish off our European trip. We did the bodean platter to share and the pulled pork nachos. Both were amazing. The ribs were my favorite. No need for extra sauce. Moist, flavorful and perfectly smoked! The chicken was great too. Normally I'm unimpressed with smoked chicken as it can be dry, bit this was juicy and tender! My husband and I wished we would have tried them sooner on our trip, as we probably would have visited multiple times.
S. K.
Excellent food!!! big portions, everything well cooked and delicious
great service, very helpful and polite
Reasonable prices since the portions are quite good.
try out the sweet potato fries, they rock!
m. p.
Great tasting chicken wings in a big portion and the staff were extremely nice and friendly
R.
Enormous portions packed with tons of flavour. Definitely a meat lovers dream restaurant
J. M.
Meat, meat, meat! American style BBQ - high quality. Close to the Tower of London; helpful if your feeling guilty about all the meat you just ate.
B. N.
My partner and I love Bodean's and have been to a few locations across London. This one however is our favourite.
Good food, lovely staff, seating on the ground and basement levels give a completely different feel. The deals they run on specific days are pretty good value for money.
Great for a pit stop while visiting London, or for a friend's catch up over dinner.
There is a small bar, but not big enough for a gathering.
S. P.
Great beer, food and staff. Was served quickly and was well looked after.
A. M.
Very nice food and friendly staff
M. S.
Second visit and love it here. Really good BBQ food with good portion sizes. Can highly recommend the Quarter chicken, ribs and pulled pork combo. Nice relaxed atmosphere but what I really like is the practicality of a roll of kitchen roll on each table for messy fingers!
V. I.
Amazing food, very well priced and the service was great. Highly recommended
C. B.
Had take out from this place twice, the staff were friendly. First time had the half rack of ribs and fries and the fries were great the ribs were alright. The second time I went back i only ordered a Caesar salad and it took quite long and when I received the portion size was way too small in proportion to what I paid and it is described on the menu as a meal so I expected a bigger size. I brought it back and the manager was nice enough to give me a refund and remake the salad which tool quite a while again, but I really appreciated the service.
S. B.
Authentic BBQ! Had the Mac and Cheese Balls as a starter, they were creamy and smooth on the inside with a nice crunch in the breading. Baby Back Ribs, Burnt Ends, and Pulled Pork were shared amongst our group and every dish was delicious! Service was wonderful, our server was very helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some great BBQ.
D. W.
Great food although the service charge is far too heavy. The prices of the meals are surely enough to cover the wages of the staff. The is no evident cap on the service charge, we went in as a group of 20 and our service charge was well over £50.
The staff were lovely but a few of our orders were confused and delayed. Perhaps we were too numerous! I say the staff were lovely, one waiter got frustrated with the confusion and started complaining and moaning in Italian. Foolish when in front of a very multicultural group. My girlfriend speaks Italian fluently and set him straight. He behaved from then on.
This seems like a one star review but the food was really nice and we had a great time. Just a few simply steps will vastly improve this place. For large groups especially.
J. G.
Great selection of meats, friendly staff and nice ambiance.
S. R.
Didnt get to eat here due there not being any seats but Florian was very lovely and welcoming!!
M. F.
Very busy American Style sports bar/diner. Great selection of lots of meat based mains, and special offers in the evenings. I just about managed a half rack, pulled pork, wings, fries, slaw and a pint for £15:50.
Cheesecake was extra, but even though I'd thoroughly stuffed myself the table next to me forced me to have some. Overeating in a rather American way, if I'd thought a doggy bag would have saved stomach discomfort.
Enjoy
B. M.
This place is the best. Couple of options across London but for amazing American/Barbecue food, drinks and atmosphere you can't do any better, or at least, not that I've tried. Always been VERY happy with the quality of food, portions and drinks selections.
Always leave full, often with a take-away box. Burnt ends and wings are a MUST.
I. C.
This place has the feel of a traditional American bar grill. The food is fairly standard but comparable to any other American chain. The menu is fairly limited so you need to be a meat lover to get the best from it. What they do is done well though and the prices are good for central London. Kids meals were good value and had a selection that would meet most requirements. Overall a good meal in a great location. I'd highly recommend a post meal walk around the Tower of London and across Tower Bridge.
A. Y.
Ordered Pulled Pork. The dish was a bit dry in the bun, and personally I wouldn’t add the bun at all. Just the plain good pulled pork and the nice seasoned fries on the side. Overall, good service and good food for a quick lunch.
C. L.
A meat feast. Generous portions, prompt service and lovely atmosphere. This lunchtime experience was very positive. The serving staff seemed to be in a hurry, this made my guest and I feel rushed. The bathroom was not clean. Overall a lovely event.
I. P.
Excellent wings and very nicely cooked chicken/Texas sausage/pulled pork also. Corn bread muffins were also delicious. Recommend trying the house brew beer, a nice accompaniment to the food!
G. R.
Absolutely fantastic food. The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. The staff were friendly & welcoming & we’re already looking forward to our next visit. We were just disappointed with ourselves that we forgot to buy some of the most incredible BBQ sauce! Thank you, much love, bye! 😊xx
D. C.
You need to like meat to eat here. The food is tasty and nicely cooked, and the service is good. The prices are very good for the city of London, so a reasonable price for a good meal in this area. I recommend the mixed plate with ribs and pulled pork which has plenty to eat. Watch out - the service is on the bill so you don't need to tip.
A. L.
The place to go to satisfy you're carnivorous urges. Fantastic quality food.
r.
We walked in on a very busy Saturday night but they juggled around to get us a table very quickly. Great service and the food was superb at a reasonable price. The Jacobs Ladder and the Chilli skewered prawns were stupendous. The wine let it down a little. Far too sweet and fruity for a decent Rioja. Would go back
C. S.
Delicious, friendly a d great for meat lovers and as we round out pretty good for vegans, vegetarians and pescatarians with some tasty choices. We were a little disappointed by the roasted watermelon and feta salad, for just under £10 it was spinach with a sprinkling of tiny water melon chunks and crumbles of feta, was expecting big juicy chunks and clearly didn"t read the menu properly as we weren't even expecting spinach, we mentioned our disappointed and got a bit more water melon and feta. Wouldn't order it again but everything else, huge delicious portions. Been before and will definately go again.
S. K.
If you like your American style BBQ, this is a great find. Burnt ends, ribs, pulled pork etc etc.
A. D.
Nice little place, good food even better beer.... bit pricy but that’s London for you
A. M.
Great place, great service. Food is delicious! Ribs were wonderful. Very well cooked, lovely smoked taste. Service was pretty quick and wine was very tasty. I will definitely come back...most probably sooner than I think. Great job guys. We had great evening!!
G. M.
Great food, very well marinade and cocked meat. We are 5 Spanish and 1 Greek all satisfied with well prepared grilled dishes. Staff are very kind , helpful and patient (it needs time to understand us). Place has nice music and well decorated hall with comfortable seats.
We spent £140 for 6 people with drinks and coffees. Portions are big and very tasty. Highly recommend for BBQ, Grill and Ribs lovers.
A. P.
Probably the best steak I've had in a long time. Absolutely worth the visit.
J. S.
I thought I'd shared a review earlier for this. Food was ok and the service was good. I remember the portions being much larger in the past, we had starters and a main and I am sure in the past I would have had more on just the main and all of us agree we expected and could have eaten more! Certainly the portion size would make me rethink coming again. There is a lot of choice of this type of food in London now, so perhaps bodeans need to up their game a little.
N. “. S.
The best ribs & pork 😋
S. K.
Nice food, reasonable prices considering this branch is opposite the tower of London. Didn't look like a lot of food when it was served but I was definitely stuffed when I finished. If you fancy BBQ then this is the place
M. S.
Fantastic food, keep an eye out for the daily offers!
m. m.
Defo well recommended place
Great meal and pleasant staff
10-10
J.
Great food and atmosphere, had a lovely time thanks to the waitress.
This branch lost two stars due to a staff member named Hamish who is from New Zealand. I made a reservation and paid the deposit in full. Successfully received an email confirming a provisional booking and a member of staff will be in contact. I checked my spam mail and inbox, no email.
I get a phone call from an impolite and rude Hamish from Bodeans at the London Bridge branch on the day of the reservation, telling me as i didn't bother to get back to them with pre orders, he thought to call me... he also kept interrupting me as I was answering his questions and asking a few of my own. I got fed up and reminded him that I am a paying customer and he is being rude by interrupting. On arrival, he did not greet the group well and was moody and rude, he made us feel so uncomfortable. His emails to me were also unprofessional and blunt.
Will stick to the Soho branch in the future.
C. J.
Lovely food, the staff are so friendly and attentive. Great choice of American style bbq food and also I tried a nice whisky (forget the name, but it was clear). Looks quite small, but spreads out as you go in. I also signed up for their loyalty card, which gives discounts on certain things on certain days. Will definitely go again and again and again!
C.
The meals here are very delicious. This is the perfect BBQ restaurant for meaty meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service is great and is always correct. They have TV's all around the restaurant that play all sports including football, tennis, golf etc. They makes sure your coats are hung up, always check to see if you need anything and are VERY FRIENDLY, whenever you come here you know everything that you ordered will turn up correctly.
J.
Good service, good food but in my estimation having visited and eaten here on various occasions the restaurant feels tired. door handles, tables, menus all felt sticky and like they could do with a general clean I went along with a party of 3 and whilst the staff looked after us really well and attentively the restaurant was not busy, so there would have been time for some spring cleaning.
P. C. T.
A 5 stars place. A found this place looking for top restaurants near me in Google Maps, and once again Google Maps is right, this is a top restaurant.
The local has two floors with plenty of space. The service is fast, the food is tasty and good sized, the price is competitive... I ate here one of the best burgers ever. The bread an the meat are perfect selections.
You have sauces in your table as well as a paper roll, and perfumed tissues.
The only but is for Coke lovers, the only have Pepsi.
We'll be back trying ribs for sure.
N. S.
One of my favourite restaurants even though I'm not even a big BBQ or meat fan but I absolutely adore their Buffalo Chicken Burger, by far the best chicken burger I've ever tasted. I cannot recommend it enough. Good cocktails.
Décor is eye-catching with its use of strong colours and animal bones (presumably fake) decorating the walls and ceiling.
Service is good too. You don't have to wait too long for your food to arrive, even during peak times.
E. S.
I've tried this Bodeans and their Old Street branch and neither has lived up to the absurd hype the chain gets.
It's very middle-of-the-road barbecue food. If that's what you go in expecting, it's fine: you'll get yourself some ribs, chicken, fries and beer. You'll eat and you'll leave satisfied and happy.
Unfortunately that's an experience at odds with the Time Out write-ups and endless reviews to the effect of 'I tried a single bite of their 48 hour smoked secret recipe unicorn ribs and literally transcended to another plain of existence'. And this place just isn't magical.
What is good: the beer, the service, the decor, the variety on the menu.
What's less good: the portions and the quality.
If you're looking for a quick, meat-heavy meal to fill your belly after doing the sights in town, it's a good pick. If you're looking for meat nirvana, keep on walking.
I. B.
Great place to eat. Vibrant and modern in a kind of US saloon style. TV access for sports and events lovers. If you love meat then you're in paradise. Good beer and cocktail selection. Can get busy. So expect a time limit on your table but as things get later it's more relaxed in terms of whether you need to worry about being moved on. Although the staff are very jovial AND understanding and never try to pressure you if they can. Service is quick even when busy. Any mistakes are rectified and any adjustments you want to the menu accomodated. Usethe app to gain discounts as we did. If not sure your server can help. App is one off those that's actually worth using. Great place for birthdays, groups but don't expect a romantic vibe. I will definitely return.
M. F.
Oh my!!!! Had a brilliant sharing platter absolutely delicious. Sooooo tasty. Killer ribs and the burnt ends....... Heavenly(order extra. You won't regret it!) BBQ beans really sweet and smoky. Need I go on! Oh, boss hog beer was spot on too. And cracking service from Nathan. Pretty reasonable too.
d. k.
Bar and restaurant, with seating downstairs, it gets busy here so worth booking to be sure, but walk-in usually isn't a big wait. A good selection of BBQ food, good service and good drinks menu. Worth going if your in the tower hill area. For London, the prices are reasonable but as with most restaurants, it depends what you have. Been a few times in all and never had a bad experience
R. Y.
Surely a place worth stopping over, the food is good and well prepared, the cost is fair and it is always well organized there. Great work.
C. T.
I don't recommend Bodean's if you're not looking for a great place to eat. Its rustic yet modern style matches its menu perfectly, you can almost feel the smell of the burning wood while you taste a tasty pint of beer. Delicious food, great drinks, amazing staff, it is definitely a place worth visiting.
S. T.
Great night out pulled pork was amazing.
J. B.
I loved everything about this place. The price of the food was very good for what was ordered and the food itself was excellent. The meat was tasty and tender. I would definitely go there again.
Q. M.
Friendly staff and good food. Chill out & enjoy :)
P. w.
Visited yesterday with my Mother and three year old son. Amazing food, I had the burrito with pulled pork, it weighed over a 1lb!! My mother, the queen of fussy had nothing but good things to say and my son loved it! The service was absolutely fantastic and to top it off my kid ate for free!! Will be visiting again and again!
A. M.
Considering 6 of us just turned up without booking we had a table with 2 minutes. The quality of the food and the service was very good, we had 3 sharing platters between the 6 of us and we could manage to eat it all.
S. L.
I love this place.
They are good with allergy awareness, but I wouldn’t want to be a veggie.
Short walk from Tower Gateway station. It’s a great place to take friends & fam visiting London.
Staff are friendly. Cocktails are nice.
They usually have the football playing, so we don’t get moved to a noisy pub by that one guy who desperately needs to watch the sports balls.
C. A.
As expected at Bodean's!
Amazing BBQ food
Their grapefruit beer is one to try and so is their breakfast with the Mexican sausage.
So much to try on their menu and it's all so good!
Only thing that was strange was that the front of house staff wanted to put us downstairs when upstairs was almost empty.
D. I.
Great service and excellent options for vegans as well as carnivores. Prices good too!

Had the Game night offer for £15 consisting of half rack of ribs, bbq chicken wings, pulled pork, chips and coleslaw plus free half pint. Must say the portion was superb and the food was all really tasty. Even the typical precooked bbq meat was still moist so well impressed. Good service too and given that's right near Tower of London, excellent value for money.

One of my favourite places to eat in London. Great to grab a seat at the bar and watch some sports. Good deals during the week. Very authentic compared to some BBQ restaurants in London.
B. H.
It's OK. The ribs and burnt ends have a very good bbq flavour. Avoid the mixed veg, it's just okra. I expected large portion sizes after reading reviews but this was not the case when I went. For 28gbp I expected more. Service at the bar was good.
W. D.
Great food poor service.
The 8 oz cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, and the nachos and chili con queso was good too. Portion sizes are more than adequate, however slow inattentive service was a disappointment. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, this would be a great spot to watch a game/match.
J. D.
Stopped off here for a quick bite and was not disappointed! I grabbed the BBQ Tray and enjoyed a nice variety of meats and flavors.
My only gripe was that the bartender was a bit rude, but it was a bit later in the evening so he may have just had a long day or something.
J.
It good but expensive for what you get. Burnt ends arnt really burnt small amount of fries and colesaw. Not enough chilli in the chilli hot dog. With a few tweaks could be great.Service good.
I felt i had to come back to be fair and say the steak was great and paid same price at a well know steak house same price half the size as at bodean's and rump not sirloin and bodean's cooked it perfectly to order so big gold star for the steak and beating the competition!!!!
b. s.
I had lunch at that place it was just me and I enjoyed the meal but got a surprised when I received the bill they charge me service charge. For 1 person I understand if there were a group of us. When I asked the waiter for explanation he said it was standard but when he asked manager he told hi, it was mistake. Acted like he didn't know. So not going again.
EDIT: Thank you response but i won't be coming back i eat at various places around towerhill so i have many options.
B. F.
I would recommend the BBQ ribs they were great plus the burgers with cheese and mushroom toppings. Washed down with a Boston larger. On my next visit to London, I will be paying Bodeans another visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good service. I have recommended to friends and family.
M. B. (.
Love this place!
Visit when ever I am in London
Great BBQ and amazing service, always.
Pulled pork, burnt ends and calslaw yum!
Oh and don't forget to try a milkshake!
J. S.
Very nice place. Food was amazing, especially the ribs the way they fall off the bone. Happy hour is also 2 cocktails for £12 well worth it
M. B.
We arrived very late, but the staff was amazing and very kind, and never put us pressure even if it was closure time. The brisket was very good (both dry and wet version). Recommended if you are in the area and need a stop for some food with a quick service.
C. H.
Lovely food. Polite capable staff. Good wine selection. No rush dining or quick lunch. Plenty of seating downstairs so don't be put off if it looks busy. Easy online booking.
M. T.
Large portions, ok. Coleslaw tasted like it had seen better days. Cocktails were nice, be careful as they will try an empty as much ice as possible into them.Croatian man serving us was an absolute legend. If I was rating staff he would have got a 10/10 he was genuinely friendly and helpful.
D. T.
Definitely keeps the heritage this one as I am used to the Soho venue, which I feel has a slightly better atmosphere but the food is spot on in both locations. If you have not been to a bodeans then what are you waiting for?? Vegans should not apply as refusal to cater may offend!
E. J.
Big fan of Bodean's for many years - I went to the Clapham one first, way back in the mid-00 I reckon.
In any case this branch is just as good. Had a massive £50 platter with collegue from work. No change of finishing it, but it was so good. And good beer too.
M. W.
The meats were excellent. Smoked chicken, burnt beef ends and pulled pork were all fantastic. The creamed corn wasn't like any I'd had before, and was just okay, for what it was. The cornbread was pretty bad though. Undercooked in the middle and absolutely no sweetness or real corn flavor in it.
Tldr; Stick with the meats and you can't go wrong. Avoid the cornbread and only have the creamed corn if you have no expectations of what creamed corn should taste like.
S. M.
Simply epic ! The best BBQ place in the UK in my book. Food is out of this world, service is great, the beer selection is A1 and the restaurant is spot on.
Will be back, several times
A. H.
Love this restaurant and visit it every time we go to London.
Amazing selection of meats which are good to perfection.
Would recommend the Boss Hog platter with a side portion of burnt ends....serious meat over dose 😁
P. S.
It was a good dinner visit. The staff is very friendly and the food is of good quality. I had the burned ends and ribs combo. They where delicious. The portions are OK, but I recommend a starter. Definitely a recommendation.
B. T.
We stumbled upon Bodean's by Tower Hill purely by accident. It was quite a lucky break. I had the burnt ends, which were good, but my son had the ribs, which were fantastic. The waitress accidentally dumped my wife's meal onto my wife's lap, but the wait staff was very apologetic and gave us the meal for free. I really liked this pace. I would have given 5 stars, if it were not for the lap delivery of lunch. Excellent service, excellent food.
J. G.
Good choice of food. issues with wrong order being sent out solved quickly and efficiently
R. S.
Decent American style bbq chain in London. Great range of ribs, smoked meats, sandwiches and sides. The spare ribs were a large serve that came with chips and coleslaw. They had a nice pink smoke ring, tasty spice rub and the meat was tender and fell off the bone. A little on the dry side for my liking but each table has an excellent selection of bbq sauces to have with your meat. Good range of cocktails and spirits too.
C. S.
Amazing place great service
S. R.
The food was amazing and tasty but the service we recieved was poor. I was here with a one year old who dropped a piece of bread on the floor without me realising and the look and attitude from our waitress as she picked it up (I would have picked it up if I had realised) was disgusting. She was rude and inattentive the whole time we were there. We was planning on staying for dessert but really didn't feel welcome.
M. D.
Fairly standard Bodean's, which is generally a good thing.
They put up with some fairly raucous behavior from our table without a word thankfully.
The food was good. I felt a bit like my recent experience of the food in the Old Street branch was better though.
A. K.
Amazing food. I forget my name when I eat. Smoked and soft meat, do tasty. Prices are good. 4 stars for the service.
We normally take sharing plate for 2. Great opportunity to try everything from one plate.
R. M.
Wish there was one by my house! Service was fab and the food was great. Very tasty, good portion sizes and very reasonable in pricing. Can't wait to go back. They also had a deal on when we visited and they do cocktails too which seemed very reasonable for London.
D. A.
Visiting from the US and stopped in after touring the Tower. It was not that busy and service was good. Ribs and pulled pork were juicy, and the sauces were tasty. My partner said the mac n cheese was under cheesed. Overall a decent take on American BBQ.
M. (.
We went for a second time. Best you reserve a table if you are a large group. It is busy most nights and for a reason. We had the sharing platter £50 boss hog platter for the second time. Fantastic It was perfect and what we can’t eat we took a doggy bag home for lunch time sandwich. The platter comes with fries - for the second time I ordered sweet potatoe fries (sadly the bowl was only half full even though I had to pay extra £2+). cocktails are ok. Beer was good.
Update: we have been a few times now to Bodeans (my partner has become a fan - I may admit it I am too). They are consistent in their customer service - very good and welcoming. There is a happy hour on cocktails 2 for £10 - but you are limited from a list to pick from. Mon-fri 17-1900. All day Saturday (I think). I have tried a few cocktails now. They can be powerful - so be careful girls.
Onion rings are very naughty but are lovely and crisp.
Season fries? A little miss leading - we thought they might be different (ie special seasoning - American style or paprika spices sprinkled on) they are just normal chips. So unless you want an extra side of fries don’t order with the hog platter.
O. G.
This place is all about ribs, pulled pork and chicken. And it does very well at it. There is plenty of space and a very American atmosphere. The staff is very polite. One note of caution: the portions are American, so make sure you come hungry.
N. C.
Outstanding BBQ joint in the tower hill area. Ordered special for 15 pounds which included a small beer, 4 ribs, some chicken wings, and some pulled pork. Smoked flavor was during and ask the meats were juicy and tender. Surprising to find such a good BBQ joint overseas. Highly recommended.
m. K.
This place never lived upto the first visit we had when it was newly opened
All subsequent visits ( about 6 ) have been progressively disappointing.
The portions have gone down along with quality.
the corn muffin tastes like a mass produced stodgy lump as opposed to the soft fluffy warm treat it was the first time
P. m.
Good drinks great food I would highly recommend
P. E.
If you're a meat lover this place is for you!
I can highly recommend the meat platters to share.
Great choice of unusual beers.
However, strange toilet set up (communal toilets) and they kept taking the bar menu away?
I would visit again
K.
Walked in for lunch. It was busy, which is always a good sign. Food was great, we'd eat it again. Only reason I took off a star is our serve disappeared after our food arrived and never came back. Another serve saw is sitting there for a while and took over.
P. A.
What a great meal and atmosphere. Had the chicken, ribs and pulled pork. Very tasty, and very busy. Kids eat free all day Sunday, and b4 5 the rest of the week. Some nice beers from around the world.
T. S.
Surprisingly large BBQ place near Tower Hill. Upstairs is a bar area and a few tables, but there are plenty more tables downstairs.
Food is tasty, and was served fairly quickly.
Service was good, although our original order was wrong, which we didn't notice until we were halfway through eating and realised some items were missing, however upon raising this with one of the team, they checked, realised the kitchen had been given the wrong platter order so got all of the missing items, rather than just the one we noticed was missing.
I'd say it's on the pricy side for what you get, however it's on a par with other places nearby.
M. I.
The meat was tough, lots to chew and no much flavour unless dipping it in extra souse. The decor is cool and nice music playing, service ok but the waitress let me order a cocktail not in the happy hour list even if I told her I was interested in the offer. Not coming back
J. F.
You know what you're getting with these guys.
Always friendly service, good food and a nice selection of drinks.
T. B.
Its hard to find good BBQ in London, this place delivers.
The food is so reasonably priced and portions are massive. If you are into meat this is the place to visit, ribs are awesome and the brisket is to die for!
Make sure you take away some BBQ sauce for home.
M. P.
Best BBQ house in London they have a few branches around London. Food is to die for and at good prices. Very friendly staff. Extencive american drinks menu.
Try and book in advance as it is always really busy.
D. H.
Ate here a few times now, would give more stars if I could. Either of the BBQ sharing platters are heavenly. Slow smoked until incredibly tender and beautifully flavoured.
D. H.
The food and service was excellent!! Could not fault it in any way, the only thing I would say is that the toilets are unisex, hand washing area is shared, the smell in the toilets are horrible and needs a deep clean, quite narrow so people have to shuffle past each other, putting that aside the food was brilliant!!
m. b.
This was our 2nd visit but not been for a few years. Obviously theres lot of restaurants to choose from in London but I highly recommend Bodeans, its in a great location, great surroundings inside, great value and simply amazing food.
2 of us shared the Hog Boss platter which had a selection of nearly all of their different types of meat, Ribs, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, burnt ends. All of it was out of this world, well cooked, moist and fantastic, smoked BBQ flavour. This could have easily served 3 people and at £40 we thought was really good value for the quality you were getting.
Happy hour on cocktails was 6pm until 7pm so we order 2 each. Cocktails were very nice and well priced.
Overall a fantastic experience, would definitely recommend it to anyone, young, old, couples, families, friends, business.
The only let down, which is become more common, was the service charge which is automatically added on (£12 on our bill of £60) but they don't point this out.
S. H.
Great food. Definitely a recommendation
N. W.
Stayed close to this location and decided to give it a go. Great ribs and pulled pork food! Chicken was okay. They have a sharing platter special for two. It has a very Amercian look and feel around the restaurant. They do get busy in the evenings so book reservations before going there.
M. M.
Food is good. Service is slack. Whilst the food is certainly up there with American Restaurants the service certainly isn't. Constantly have to chase waitress' for drinks it does become tiresome after a while. I would go back because the food is good. The service...it sucks.
J. G.
Great food, but portion sizes were smaller than expected - especially compared to other Bodeans restaurants in the city. Overall, still one of the best places to grab a platter of BBQ food in London, but a little disappointed by the efforts of this branch.
M. V.
Food and drinks were amazing. Looked so good forgot to take a pic!
A. H.
Consistently good food, not haute cuisine but good quality with an American leaning. Staff are chatty and friendly ... what's not to like? Book ahead. You'll get seated if you just turn up but it may take a while.. good opportunity to explorer the bat :-)
V.
Very nice food, nice environment and friendly service. Just a bit noisy
M. C.
the best bbq restaurant in the city! massive portions, tasty dishes, fancy drinks and decent variety in the menu. American influence, music and decoration. Feels like wild wild west sometimes. It’s a shame that you can’t really keep a table for too long because there is constant pressure from the food staff towards you to order and consume to the maximum.. you should definitely try their wet beef burnt ends and also the burgers and the pulled pork deli sandwiches 🍔 chips and starters are quite good as well 🍟 it’s usually busy so make sure that you book a table in advance or if you don’t get any luck with that one go for the old street or covent garden branch. Definitely going back at some time, the food is all what matters at the end of the day 😋
L. C.
With this type of restaurant, you already have expectations and it truly delivers on the food, which makes it a good package for dining out.
A few refinements and it would be a truly outstanding venue for lovers of barbequed food. The service is the main issue as it can be overly aggressive and almost similar to a retail shop. With a sense of being hounded to eat and being quickly rushed at times.
The venue has that dark ambient feel with a slight American diner seating style. This is a more confined space due to the location, but it manages to give a friendly atmosphere to the proceedings.
There usually is a mix of daily specials that make it popular with the city crowd that frequent the venue. Pricing is reasonable for what is on offer, which brings us nicely on to the food.
Though the food tends to have that similar look it tastes subtly different. Dependent on what you order. The chicken wings and ribs have that sweet and smoked taste that brings delight. The chips could be slightly better and seem to be a harder to get right these days in restaurants.
The drinks are fine if a little overpriced. Especially with bars surrounding the venue. It may be wise to drink elsewhere either before or after dining.
The desserts are equally satisfying with that a mixture of American classics. My choice of Key Lime Pie was to a good standard to please my sweet tooth.
Overall this a restaurant I highly recommend for catching up with friends and enjoying good barbeque food. It matches the price that is on offer. Though if you want a higher standard then the few faults will seem much larger.
M. N.
You guys need to pay people the right amount on employing them. Adding service charge to top up their pay is ridiculous to be honest. Food was nice and enjoyed it but my wait was displeased I didn't pay service charge even though it was optional to so. Just pay them, the right salary to start with
S. D.
Lip-smacking Diablo Wings. I've become so addicted to the stuff that I've visited thrice in one week. And the wings themselves are perfectly done- the meat comes off the bone cleanly, and the skin is perfectly crispy. An absolutely juicy and messy treat. And along with that, good selection of beers, good eats overall, and nice ambience. A bit on the expensive side. But hey, what good food in London is cheap? Open one in India please!!!
A. T.
I've always loved Bodean's, but after not visiting for about a year, unfortunately they are now much more expensive and serving much smaller portions than they used. No longer served coleslaw with platters. Not what it used to be.
R. E.
Great place. We took the special rum cocktail of Valentine’s Day, it was delicious !!
The burger and the meal were also great and worth the price !
To recommend !
J. C.
Have had two visits to Bodean's and will definitely be visiting many more times the service is great and most of the food is absolutely delicious. If I can recommend anything to eat at this delightful restaurant it will definitely be the chicken wings/hot. I am quite a big fan of ribs but what lets some of the rib selections down here is that they are rather fatty nevertheless they are flavoursome so I still believe Bodean's are deserving of five stars :D.
A. S.
A trip to London isn't complete without a visit to Bodeans BBQ. I'm familiar with the Soho branch and I like their work but decided to give this restaurant a go.Not disappointed! Obviously service was with a smile, food was quick and atmosphere was good as always but its the taste that wins each time. We had some £10 deals going on. (16oz burger with drink and 1/4 chicken, half rack ribs and pulled pork - also with drink for £10)...All in all, if you like meat you NEED to go. These guys know their BBQ!
V. T.
My all time favorites here are the burnt ends and the massive chicken wings. I love all the condiments that they have sitting on the table. Don’t go here on a first date because the food does get messy. This is a place to come enjoy with people who feel comfortable being a complete messy eater with. They serve Sam Adams so that is a big plus for me. You can get a good deal here for ribs and chicken wings with fries and tiny beer for 15 quid. I recommend Bodean's.
R. H.
Not for vegetarians! Very nice barbecued meats. Burnt ends particularly good. Limited choice of starters, the prawn starters are poor value for money, avoid. Decent service, reasonable prices.
A. L.
Game day special; pulled pork, ribs and wings with a half pint thrown in as well....altogether a authentic experience with nice food. Sam Adams Boston Larger was possibly the best part someone looks after that for sure! Would recommend to the hungry
L. W.
The servers were very attentive, understanding of our indecisive group and the food and drinks arrived promptly, were hot and tasty. Couldn't have asked for more. The theme of the restaurant is quite cool as well, would definitely go back!
D. C.
Great ribs, huge portions, decent variety of beers. Very friendly staff. The place respects the American diner vibe, it is packed with people in the evenings which means you get the noisy-feel-alive sentiment.
S. H.
Yummy ribs and fab chips 🍟
T. P.
The food was great and they were so accommodating since I was dining alone with my one year old daughter. The 15£ deal is definitely worth it (ribs, wings, pulled pork, fries and a beer).
E. H.
Love here for food, staff are always friendly, food is always fantastic. Love coming here with friends and family as the atmosphere is very relaxed (american sports showing on the tv's). If you like bbq food you need to try Bodean's at least once!
A. C. C.
Tasty food, nice service, reasonable prices for the area it is in.
T. R.
I always have a good time here. Love sports and there is always something going on the TV. But you don't come here for TV time, no no no... You come here for BBQ Burnt ends and Pulled pork, Diablo wings and delicious ribs.
If you like a good BBQ, this is an amazing option. The sauces available also help and the staff is almost always friendly.
Don't expect to be able to contact the outside world. The place feels like a bunker as no data connectivity is possible here. But hey, come to enjoy your time with friends and good food. Leave the phone at home.
L. W.
Have eaten at a few of the Bodeans places and they seem very consistent.
Ordered the pork burnt ends for lunch. The meat was tender with a tasty smoked edge to it. The chips were delicious as was the slaw.
As a bonus they also had some Kona beers available.
On the list to revisit next time we are in London.
M. T.
I called in on a Sunday afternoon during a walk along the river. I had one of the special offers £15 for a full rack of ribs, chicken wings & a drink. The ribs were great, plenty of flavour in the meat as well as the sauce & plenty of them. The chicken wings were also plentiful & very tasty. The only thing that disappointed were the fries but there was so much meat & good coleslaw on the plate it did not matter in the slightest. There is a pretty good selection of beverages including US beers bottle & draft. The ground floor area is quite small with a bar area in the front, most of the seating is downstairs in the basement. There is sky sport on tvs around the restaurant & rock music playing. The service was excellent, very efficient & friendly. I was impressed, this branch of Bodeans provides great value in an expensive part of town, big portions of very tasty meat with good service. If I was in this area of London I would visit again.
M.
Touted as the "original" London BBQ I expected better. Food quality was average at best, with things like Burnt ends not really as juicy as you get from places in the US, and the restaurant itself is in desperate need of an update. Staff were nice and friendly though. For the price you pay you will find better food at a quality steak house
S. B.
The food was amezing. The ribs are fantastic, as is the pulled pork. We had a platter for two and it was enough food.
I was really in heaven and so I didn't even realize that I just signed the wrong check. Another staff member realized it and it was corrected.
F. P.
Great place for meat lovers and very reasonably priced for London. If you apply for a Bodeans card beforehand there are lots of offers to be had. Saturday's is kids eat free but it differs depending on the day.
N. T.
Someone suggested I come here and I thought it was laughable to come to London to have American BBQ. Boy I was wrong, this place is actually really good and worth coming down to check it out. We got the sharing plate which was great and feeds 2 males comfortably.
A. K.
One the best burgers I have ever eaten, nice ambient and okay service. The 5th star goes to the barbecue taste of their meat, specially their bacon which tastes very specially strong.
Sidenote: give a shoot at their sauces, their barbecue sauces taste great, even with the fries which saddly comes without ranch, ketchup or cheese.
A. S.
Good food, and was very accommodating to our large group. Booking is recommended as it got very busy. Really lovely staff kept us fed and watered
S.
Great place is you like BBQ meat. Good location. Always very busy. Good beer here too. Great for small and large groups. Food has always been perfect.
B. W.
The food was mediocre. The burger was amazing and the quesadillas were amazing also. But the poutine was masserated in this horrible reduction and it ruined my food. Also, one lad on the staff committee, obviously foreign, was very rude and very obtuse. For example, we asked to switch our pot of sauce because it leaked. He picked it up, looked at it, screwed the lid off and on again and put it down. Said sorry and walked off!
C. F.
Bodean's BBQ is a favourite because of their yummy food, quick and great service, and also because it is great value. Take advantage of the "match game" offer - it's amazing value for what you get, though the beer supplied is a small one.
This branch is perfect if you have a large group wanting to go out for a meal, but you do need over eight people to be able to book a table.
P. G.
Feels like a traditional american restaurant (can't say it has a diner feel), but i really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was really busy but the food and service was all on time, which was unexpected, despite being in a heavily touristy area. I ordered the ribs which were nice, but I have had a lot better, chips were a little dry, but the bloody mary cocktail was delicious!
I would go back again if in the area, but I doubt I would go out of my way for it.
P. G.
Great food, great atmosphere, really friendly staff who went above and beyond to accommodate my wife's dietary requirements.
S. G.
Amazing food. So good I went twice on my trip. Burnt ends. Ribs. Pulled pork. It’s all great. A must!
A. C.
Polite and speedy service. There's a range of different prices to suite a range of budgets but drinks are a little on the expensive side. Expect to spend £25-35 each for two courses.
Food was great but let down greatly by the worst onion rings I've ever had.
J. T.
Excellent food and service. Went in at about 9.30pm on a Saturday and although it was quite busy we were seated straight away. If you like bbq food you will love this place. The burger and beef burnt ends were excellent
J. M.
Cannot go wrong with a game day special. Staff are good and will try their best to get you a table. They use a modern system whereby they will text you when a table is available so you can leave the restaurant and take a wander around.
S. Z.
Great BBQ, great service. Best BBQ I have tasted in England
j. ö.
Great food, nice waiters and really nice atmosphere and music (Green Day, Raconteurs etc) we really liked it and warmly recommend this restaurant to everybody who loves well prepared meat.
B. H.
Good American style BBQ food. Good selection of beer however comes as a 2/3 pint and is pretty pricey. Service was OK - A little pushy to get you out of the door and we went on a Tuesday night to watch a football match which I wouldn't recommend. It's difficult to see the screens properly and there is no sound.
E. B.
Enjoyed my visit here recently - midweek deal (good selection of meats plus a beer) especially good value. Left feeling very well fed, and have recommended to a couple of friends in the area too.
P. P.
Amazing chicken wings for starter (tried all four marinades between five of us, Diablo was my favourite), for main had jambalaya which was tasty but a little oily and portion looked a touch small compared to the huge bbq meats my colleagues had ordered. Service was excellent, though restaurant was fairly quiet when we visited. Many TV screens on the walls showing old sports shows are annoyingly distracting.
N. W.
There's a wide range of US style barbecue here, and it's all good. That said, there are better places around London for this type of food, but definitely ticks a box if you're in the area and after this type of food. There's a good craft beer selection too
B. O.
Excellent and patient staff, BBQ beef brisket was excellent although the original portion was small (the staff adjusted the portion). Excellent service will be provided for people that attend bookings in parties of 15 based on my experience.
S. F.
A fantastic chain for dinner, will leave you very well fed and not at all disappointed. Expect to wait 30 mins+ for a table at peak times, but trust me - it's worth the wait. The pulled pork has to be tasted.
C. W.
A truly epic selection of meat, portions are large for the price you pay. £25 gets you a basic sharing platter with a fine selection of deep south delicacies. Their coleslaw & pulled pork on the same fork is a combo fit for the gods themselves. Highly recommended if you're a meat lover, I could have eaten the platter my fiancee and I shared all by myself.
V. I.
Amazing place, great service and food. Nice and chill atmosphere. Went there for Thanksgiving as they were serving traditional Thanksgiving meals. Everything was perfect.
A. D.
Where do I start. You don't usually put London and BBQ food in the same category but boy you should. This was my first visit to Bodean's. I went after I had been to watch the NFL in Wembley. They were playing the other season games on the TVs which was awesome. But the main thing was the incredible food. I had the most amazing baby back ribs that were to die for. The chicken wings were also incredible. The only thing that upset me was that there are no Bodean's near where I live. I need a local Bodean's in my life.
S. P.
Great burnt ends, so so slaw and ribs.
H. B.
Good food good service but toilets need some TLC
J. P.
Great deep south style American food for meat lovers. The private room is also a really good place for watching sports while you eat as there are two screens to watch from a large table that can fit over 15 people on it.
M. A.
It's Bodean's!! You can't really go wrong for what it is, large plates/trays of meat and sides for a reasonable price. Staff are generally quick, nice and helpful. Can get busy due to location, so booking in peak hours can be advisable, especially for groups.
J. R.
The staff were really friendly and recommended a hot sauce to go with my meal - it was delicious. The whole take-away tasted great. Thanks guys - I'll be back!
s. w.
Omg. If you like steak/meat then you have to go here. Appears small from the outside but goes far back and has multiple floors. BBQ sauce is delicious 😋. Healthy portions and great taste is just my type of combination.
M. S.
Fantastic food, nice setting. The only negative is misleading offers on their menu that are only relevant to members, but have material impact on price and could influence orders if consumers are unaware.
G. M.
Fantastic barbecue restaurant great meats and chicken.
M.
Been coming here for over 8 years now, and always had a really good meal. Well worth checking out if in the area.
But look to book a table and can get busy.
A. M.
This is one of the best BBQ joints in London. We regularly go there, normally after a binge of watching Man v Food, and order the Boss Hog. It's tremendously delicious, good value and you always end up taking a box home with you. For the less adventurous, the chicken wings and the mac and cheese are excellent. As is the Beef Rib.
N. B.
Enjoyed our evening meal here quick tasty and easy
