Popped by for a late lunch & very glad we did. Delicious food (no salmon en croute & aubergine chermoula) cooked & served by Suzana was exactly what we needed. Enjoyed the Bakewell tart as soon as we arrived home! Been too long since I was last here. Always great value, lovingly prepared meals

What a lovely place. Misiek was the chef today and prepared such a tasty and satisfying vegan quesadilla with jackfruit chili salsa, grilled potatoes and salads. You made my day, thank you!

Very local and comfort food:) Vegan- friendly and good decoration

My first meal in London was at this cozy cafe. It was a vegan Monday so everything on the menu is vegan, yet they did not compromise the taste at all. Enjoy the soup a lot. The vegan quiche is another highlight. I could never thought of using tofu to replace egg in a quiche and can hardly tell the difference. Friendly people. Love it <3

Amazing healthy food, nice atmosphere and good price. I need to come back!

Beautiful little cafe run by a lovely couple! Perfect for a all vegan meal, a coffee or tea.

Excellent value for money, friendly staff, what's not to like...... Other than meat

We adore this place, it's always full so if you are willing to go you need to book in advance! Great food, great chefs, great atmosphere! We have being going back many times since we found about it. Please stay local as we need more places like this in London!!!!

Just such a special place
Still going strong
Love it
Good vibes 💚🧡

Very cosy spot 5 minutes walk from Vauxhall underground. Good food choices all vegan or vegetarian! Price is fair considering the good quality of the food. Gonna go back.

I really loved the food. I had tofu steaks and they were a great example of a veganised pub classic.
I advise reserving; I managed to slip in, but almost all the tables were booked for either 6:30 or 8:30, or both. You can book parties in here, of up to about 8 people, I'd say (I'm not sure any more tables will fit side by side in the small room).
It's a cute place, with a deli selling alcohol across the road (and fresh veg, interestingly, plus all manner of other odd bits), and a community garden space with swings nearby.
The centre itself does a number of events for cheap from yoga to piano lessons. It's a great little corner of town. The cafe has leaflets for all manner of intriguing London events you might not otherwise have heard of. Makes for interesting reading.
This cafe is attached to a community centre, so there are certain differences to a regular establishment:
-The menu changes day by day. To know what's on offer, you have to go to the website, find the contact details of the chef on rota for the night, and ask them. Or, show up and take your chances. I did and I'm not disappointed.
-They are short staffed. Only one waiter, rushed off her feet. The food came quickly but it took a while to settle up. To be honest, if I'd had exact change, I would have just put it on the table and left, since I had another engagement I was late for. Best to go when you're not doing anything else, then you can just relax and it doesn't matter.
-There's no bill or receipt. They don't take cards. A main is about £8. I'd advise exact change or just enough that the remainder is an acceptable surplus.
-The toilet is up three flights of stairs, past what looks like someone's abandoned living room.
-There's a definite community atmosphere, some of the people there were clearly either regulars or friends.

The ambiance and atmosphere of the cafe and the surrounding area really makes for a special time here. We went on a Sunday evening with chef Anya in the house. The food was absolutely amazing - this coming from newbies to the whole raw/vegan diet and experience. Chef and her assistant were really friendly and very kind - I left my bag in the restaurant because I was so taken by the raw chocolate and peanut brownie - they called me and waited for me to collect it.
If you are looking for a place with character and feel good vibes this is the place. Real soul food here!!!
Thank you Anya for a wonderful meal :) we will be back soon!

Excellent food for the money. Today was a vegan day and although This was my first vegan experience, it was thoroughly tasty. Plus great value for London. My dish was Red Dragon pie which was basically like a red vegetarian Shepard’s pie with sweet potato, beetroot, nuts and some other healthy stuff that I have no idea about!

I've been wanting to go to the Bonnington café for so long now, but hadn't until last night. I have to say it lived up to if not surpassed everything I heard about it. Its casual and laid back so you feel like you're not in London. It'd situated on a back street nestled in a residential road that has a lovely atmosphere. The menu and chef changes everyday and booking seems to be essential (usually it's busy) so we texted as the website suggested. Now... The food. We both ordered the tofu dish (sesame tofu and teriyaki aubergine) which was incredible but wished we'd ordered one of each dish as we saw the squash roast and it looked delicious! For dessert we had one of each (learnt our lesson) and oh boy... 😍 just everything about this place... Oh and its BYOB.

This is an amazing place. The menu changes daily and depending on the chef. The food was delicious. I very much liked it and will be going back.
B. C.
Been there four or five times with different chefs - always been very tasty. Book by text, don't just turn up as it's always busy. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but have never been disappointed by a meal here. Good value- three courses for two - £32. It's byob with a 50p charge.
V. W.
Love the food, the place and the concept of the restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious and never boring. The interior is relaxing and cosy. The concept centers around the community. Would definitely come back.
A.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices. Cauliflower tikka masala was quite good, but a bit spicy for my taste. It’s probably a moderate spice level, so beware if you don’t handle that too well.
T. S.
What an amazing find. Beautiful location, beautiful food and wonderfull staff. You might not think you're into vegan food but honestly, give this place a try. The menu isn't big but the quality is and the prices very very reasonable. A great atmosphere and you can bring your own wine with no corkage fee. Highly recommended.
R. C.
I don't got to many places twice but this is becoming a regular. Such a cosy atmosphere and love being able to bring our own wine to dinner. We've only been so far as a couple, but there are mostly groups of friends there. The food is always delicious and I always find something we haven't had before. Texting to book makes it feel a bit special and the chef replied when I asked her what one of the sides was because it was so yummy! Will be back again soon.

This quaint neighbourhood café and community hub on a quiet residential street in Vauxhall, has an interesting cooperative evening dining concept, with different cooks on different nights.
Our evening was (almost?) wholly vegan; the mains and desserts were a highlight and were so tasty. This BYOB with its fresh and innovative food is exceptionally good value. Highly recommended.
M. P.
Really delicious home-style vegan cooking. We had a roast and banoffee pie and both were just wonderful. Good atmosphere just don't forget cash!
F. P. W.
Comfy, laid back, a pleasant ambience, inside and out. The food was delicious, the service relaxed, a fitting end to a long canal walk.
Oh and great value.
J. G.
Ordinary vegetarian restaurant. Portions are good size, tasty. Been here several times already and never went out disappointed. A bit dark.
Oh , and there is no booze in here so you need to bring your own bottle (staff will open the bottle for you)
Reservations are required!
CASH ONLY not ideal place to flash your black Amex around. And yes - seen here people from absolutely all economic backgrounds.
M. B.
What a great place: select but fantastic menus unique to each chef. Lovely service, terrific place. Hard to better
J. S.
I really like that different chefs work here throughout the week. Ensures a great variety of food.
M. R.
Love this place. Drag all my friends there when they come to visit. Great concept. Cosy. Cute. Basic but homely. And wonderful as you can bring your own bottle of delicious wine/champagne or beer with you.

Super tasty and affordable food, great vibes!

Probably one of the best eating and social experience in London - great place!

Great little place for a week end brunch . Cosy. Minimalist and good vegan food

Very cosy place

Magical place, the best hidden gem in London. Value for money, atmosphere, quality of food, location.. everything on point.
S. Ž.
I like the concept and the staff are lovely but the food was quite basic and not particularly tasty. If I go out for food I expect a well put together dish, not just some random stuff. For example, I had beans + roast potatoes & squash +fresh carrot + tomatoes. Very basic ingredients and didn't seem like a nice complete dish, more like random leftovers thrown together.
N. H.
Wonderful down to earth place a people, great vegan food and sumptious brunch. The desert (chocolate cake) was amazing as was the milkshakes.
The staff are friendly and the chef is a great cook. They have a garden to sit in and the prices are extremely reasonable. It's part of a community centre so you know are helping an independent too!
Will definitely be back. It's a lovely spot to have some lunch after a bit of Floatworks in Vauxhall.
N. Z.
Really great, small cafe. Different chef & menu daily. Have always wanted to try and finally went, it did not disappoint. I am not vegan or vegetarian but I enjoyed all the food. It's BYO as well. Very cheap! Will go back.
J. E.
This place is a hidden gem. The food is thoughtfully prepared and it's seriously delicious (and I'm not even vegan)!
The staff are lovely and friendly, we came as a party of 13 and there were very accomodating!
Highly highly recommend this place, whether you're vegan or not.
M. Z.
It has a lovely atmosphere. However I am not a fan of vegan food. It's again like walking to an old aunt for lunch, the house is old and charming. Food wise- I have to be honest, I feel sorry for vegans if this is what they limited to eating, remaining unconvinced. The area is lovely to
Make sure you cross the road and try that Italian place on the corner. Makes mean coffes. Cute little square. Would recommend that, not Bonnington cafe, unless you're vegan.

Went for a birthday meal and it was fantastic. As a family of vegetarians we appreciate good healthy vegetarian food. The atmosphere was perfect, casual and relaxed despite being fully booked. We usually celebrate birthdays at The Gate or Manna, amazing food but rather expensive. Bonnington is very reasonably priced and the food has a more home cooked feel than restaurant but definitely just as good. Will certainly be going again.
H. H.
Absolutely fantastic. A gorgeous vintage atmosphere night or day, fabulous vegan and vegetarian food and amazing prices- not to mention bring your own bottle! Perfect for lunches and dinners, just call your cook for the day (listed on the website) and book your table. So so yummy, even my meat eating boyfriend loved it, and he is picky! Will be going back regularly :)

Delicious, fresh and healthy vegan meal, with gluten free options available. My wife and I had our last meal of our European holiday here, and we could not have had a more delicious final dinner than here. The place was cosy, the staff was friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
G. J.
I’ve been twice: a week ago and ten years ago. It’s been consistently great. If you want a drink, bring your own bottle. There’s no corkage fee. Most recently, I went there on a Friday night, and the cook was very good (there is a different chef each night). It is worth booking as people were turned away that evening.
M. O.
Quirky vegan/vegetarian cafe in a magical residential area. Menu consisted of one starter, two mains to choose and two desserts to choose - a refreshing change to the usual menu overload. The food was good and cheap for London standards. The decor is positively odd. The cafe seems popular, at least on Sunday afternoon.
K. R.
Brilliant variety of food, very different dining experience. The staff were helpful and friendly, and were happy to guide us through the menu.
The restaurant space isn’t huge so with lots of people if was noisy and felt a little cramped, but lovely was still worth it for the experience.
K. R.
a wonderful vegetarian cafe that changes it's chef daily. you can go online to see who will be cooking and text the chef to make a reservation. the food was absolutely lovely and very reasonably priced. we had fresh watermelon juices, curries, and veggie bowls. the decor is homely and outside seating out the back. would definitely go again.
A. N.
Very decent place, great atmosphere, homely rustic decor. The menu is pre set, but the food is amazing regardless. Very accessible prices given that the food is AWESOME. Even as a meat eater I was taken aback by how delicious plant based food can be. Even though I live miles away from London I would gladly jump on a train just to come back here again.
S. L.
Have been here on several occasions, as my girlfriend lives around the corner. Fantastic community-led cafe off Bonnington Square with a changing roster of local chefs. We've eaten the food of various chefs and it has been consistently excellent, with great vegan and vegetarian choices too. Particularly for how reasonable the price is! You can bring your own drinks for a small corking fee. If you're a small group you may end up sharing a table with others, so it helps if you're sociable and friendly, but often this adds to the charm of the experience! There's a fascinating history to the surrounding area too and the nearby community gardens are great!
T. B.
A little gem of a place, with a small, utterly delicious menu and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We sat out back and enjoyed the sunshine, two soups and a jackfruit burger. All delicious and incredibly good value. The beetroot gazpacho was a particular highlight, packed full of dill and garlic. Best London lunch in a long time!
C. B.
Love the Bonnington Cafe. On a beautiful leafy street hidden behind Vauxhall station. The community cafe is welcoming and the food is lovely home style cooking. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the whole vibe is wonderfully unpretentious.
J. G.
Cute yet quirky venue - it's a refurbed house and still holds that homely feel. I understand that the chef is different most nights so it's a venue that you can keep revisiting and also get something new.
The night we went happened to be 100% vegan and so delicious. I went with two other friends, who are not vegan or even vegetarian, and they have been raving about the food more than me!
Good location, conveniently by Vauxhall station but off of the busy road and has an exclusive feeling about it - in that you are attending a secret venue, but what a find!
We did book in advance and I think that's the done thing, especially worth doing as we got the final table.
V. K.
A very unique place situated south of the river in Vauxhall, in one of its bohemian corners next to a lovely, leafy square. I've been going here for years and never had the same dish twice! The menu is different every day, there is always something new to discover!
K. G.
Delicious food with large portions. The atmosphere is very nice, it feels a bit like having dinner at a friends house. Excellent value for money (£3 starters and £9 mains). There were two or three options for starter/dinner/dessert
M. P.
Lovely food in homely setting. Choice of two starters, mains and desserts on a rotating chef basis. Good price and great food. Probably worth booking in advance - we turned up impromptu and got the last two seats.
M. B.
Went for an evening meal. Everything on the menu was vegan. We couldn't decide what to have so we ordered one of everything! Really delicious, varied dishes presented in a homely but attractive way. Different flavours in each dish. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and extremely quick! Highly recommended for vegans, vegetarians, and even people who think they don't like vegan/vegetarian food. Looking forward to our next visit!
B. S.
Super tasty and affordable food, great vibes!
F. W.
Went for dinner for chef Rachel and really enjoyed it! All veggie food, nice choice of dishes and the banoffee pie was amazing! Need to book in advance and there’s an hour and half before the next set of diners come in.
D. S.
So so good!! The menu change everyday, it's not expensive at all and the lady in charge is really really nice. We will definitely come back here.
D. N.
Really nice and cosy place to have a lovely home-made meal (the menu is different every day). It feels like you're in your good friend's living room and they cooked a great meal for you. I will certainly come back!
L. M.
I had dinner here with three meat-eating friends and we were all blown away by it. It’s run by a collective and you book by texting whoever is cooking that night. It’s low key, very friendly, nice atmosphere and the food is fantastic. There is a limited menu on a chalk board - the night we were there it was a choice of two starters, two mains and two desserts - one each of veggie and vegan. You can bring your own wine, and the restaurant provides glasses and a corkscrew. It’s pretty cheap too - around £8 for mains. I will definitely be back.
A. M.
Lovely place. Whoever is cooking on the day takes everything to the property with them. Unfortunately the ladies there on the day we went had forgotten the tea bags! Other than that, the food was great, delicious home cooked vegetarian food. Very good service and pricing.
C. W.
I've been here for many years and the food had always been excellent! It's bring your own so that it's a plus. Check out their website about booking a table. Cash only. This is a special place, not a soulless restaurant but a vibrant space. Only downside is that it can be a bit noisy in there if you want a quiet dinner!
K. F.
Charming, lively atmosphere, excellent food and people. I visited just before Christmas, so it might have been busier than usual, but apparently it's often packed. I was surprised to see this first, but now I understand why all the guests are more than happy to wait to squeeze into tiny spaces just to experience a bit of the magic. :-)
R. L.
This place is an absolute gem. Co-operatively owned cafe and former squat that serves a vegan menu that changes every night and is curated by the chefs. I'm a meat eater and love the food here, plus it's BYOB! Places like this are, sadly, a rarity in London these days, especially so central. Well worth a visit but you'll normally have to book in advance via the website.
H. J. S.
Bonnington Cafe is a small community run restaurant that has a different chef serving a different vegetarian and vegan menu each night. The simple menu has only a few options but everything we ate was delicious and authentic (Turkish when we went!).
Prices are great (starters £3, mains £8 and desserts £3), so you can have 3 fantastic courses for less than £15! They don't serve alcohol but there is a shop on the corner when you can pick some up. It's recommended that you book in advance but due to a last minute cancellation we were able to get a table when we just turned up.
M.
Different chefs every night, Berta cooked a tasty vegetable pie and I had a delicious sauerkraut and Mushroom stew. Both served with a tasty salad for £8.00 each. Dine early if you want full choice from a very small menu. We will be back when in London. Rustic charm from this small cafe/restaurant!
B. S.
Such a charming place serving vegetarian/vegan food on a rotating guest chef basis (I think that's right). Anyway - nice vibes in a peaceful setting - away from the madness of Vauxhall roundabout just 100m away. BYOB too, which is a bonus.
M. S.
Always a great experience. Excellent food at low low prices, and a slightly chaotic but dependably enjoyable ambience.
This community-owned café is run by volunteers so don't expect silver service. But if you can embrace the DIY (and BYOB) experience, and stock up on the small amount of cash you'll need to cover your bill, you are guaranteed a fine evening.
Z. S.
same as the other comments; carnivore or vegan, this place is a great (and cheap!) place to get together with a small group of friends or a cozy date! Small restaurant with a homely vibe and byob makes it very fun. Only reason it's 4/5 is the food during one visit was not up to par; served cold and burnt, but I think it may have been an off-night for the chef that day
C. P.
We adore this place, it's always full so if you are willing to go you need to book in advance! Great food, great chefs, great atmosphere! We have being going back many times since we found about it. Please stay local as we need more places like this in London!!!!
M. K.
Lovely local vegetarian food. I love the idea it's run by the community and the dishes change daily depending on the cook. One can be sure everything is fresh. The place is also quirky enough for those hipsters among you :P
S. F.
Great food that you can feel good about! The day I came in Su cooked up a delicious vegan aubergine gratinée and my friend was quite pleased with her tofu veggie stir fry. An added bonus: all main dishes are under 7 pounds, so the meal was rather affordable. The locale itself is in the bottom level of a converted brick house in a quaint area of Vauxhall that's full of gardens and green spaces. Definitely worth a visit!
R. T.
I really liked the idea of Bonnington Cafe and the price was excellent. I would probably only have given the food 3 stars on the night we went as it was not anything particularly special at all, and not at all nicely presented. There was also only one waitress working there and she was rushed off her feet. But for the price and location I would give it 4 stars overall
J. J.
lunched there today. The vegan dish was absolutely divine. I held the flavours in my mouth for a full hour before washing them away a strong coffee and sweet potato chocolate cake.
J. M.
Legendary vegetarian restaurant. Run by a commune with a different member taking turns to be chefs. Easy to get a booking and sure to impress any vegetarian friends. Also major plus point is that its BYOB which is becoming increasingly rare so always worth knowing. Would say that for a vegetarian commune eatery was surprisingly expensive and given the nature of the menu (i.e. it changes every day) then if you don't like it then you don't have other options. Both times I have been here that's not been an issue but I am not at all picky.
D. T.
The food was amazing. I am a foodie and I loved Ella's cooking. I think it deserved a Michelin star. I was impressed and she is lovely. I thought it was expensive unti I tasted the food and now I think it was really good value. Brilliant.
a. p.
Great vegetarian and vegan food. Love this Cafe and people that cooking there are making this place one of a kind 👌😋
P. B.
Great place for a really different dining experience. Bring your own drinks and, judging by the last crowd, bring a lot of them! The atmosphere is one of the best things about this place, hands down beats most mainstream restaurants I've been to. Everyone is friendly and chats to each other, the food was simply fantastic! Only veggie dishes served and most of the cutlery/dinnerware is a random assortment of anything they can get their hands on. Main course is £8 and starters/desserts are £3 meaning that this place is probably the best value/quality ratio I've had in London. Just be aware that you're going to a place which is grassroots through and through so don't expect sommelier service and a wine list to rival a "proper" restaurant...
Definitely worth trekking over there!
M. _.
Thank you for a really great meal in a lovely setting. So much better than the numerous pretentious and overpriced eateries in London. Great food, great service - don't change a thing :)
A. B.
I don't live or work in the area, but when I'm between Vauxhall and Oval I always go there to eat. It's a cozy place and they have a new menu all the time. Have cash ready as they don't accept cards!🙂
J. C.
The place has a lovely, chic atmosphere and the gentleman behind the count couldn't have been more welcoming and a laugh. Would pop in anytime. Coffee's great and foods a perfect pick me up!
A. C.
Delicious food, affordable price. It's a hidden gem. You don't need to be a Vegetarian or Vegan to appreciate this place. I highly recommend it.
D.
Great value for money and nice ambience; I really enjoyed my visit to Bonnington Cafe and will be visiting them again; even when I'm not vegetarian.
I really like the fact that you can bring your own wine/champagne as it is probably the most expensive part of going out for dinner; and the main course at £8, it is definitely a no brainer.
T. B.
Small casual cafe. All vegetarian. Fixed menu. 2x starters, main and dessert. You chose what you want. Priced individually. Reasonable. New chef everyday with new menu. Don't accept card payment which is the only bug bear.
F. F. R.
Love this place, wonderful home cooked vegan food at great prices. Been going for more than 10 years. Is it me, or has it become almost unbearably loud in there recently?
G. M.
Tucked away from Vauxhall Station is the lovely Bonnington Square, where you will find this small cafe located over two floors of a previous squat. The building is used by a community of International chefs, who prepare a different menu of soup, main course, dessert every day. The food is vegetarian, the prices are fixed (around £3 for soup, £5 for main course and £4 for dessert). It is BYO and you won't be able to buy drinks there, the cafe will only give you tap water. There is table service.
What I love about this cafe is the decor: so quirky and cozy. I went there for Valentine Day and I thought it was the perfect romantic but understated venue. It feels more like being a guest at someone's house than being in a restaurant. It is also very cheap and the food is satisfying, that's really all you need!
Make sure to check online who is the chef of the day and email him/her one day in advance to book your table. As the menu changes every day, they cannot always accommodate for last minute customers.
S. K.
Bonnington gets high ratings on all the review sites, and well deserved. The quirkiness of the place is largely it's appeal though, rather than the food. If you think it's going to be like someone's front room turned into a café, well that's exactly what it's like!!! The atmosphere is relaxed, vibrant, chatty, cosy. The menu is simple Vegan and Vegetarian fayre, and the staff are friendly. It's busy though... Queuing out the door busy.... So book in advance. Oh, and don't forget, it's BYO so take your favourite drink with you, and it was cash only too...
C. T.
A real community Cafe. Good food, friendly cooks, kind service, ethically run. Bring your own booze so more affordable. Different chefs each day of the week. Lovely atmosphere.
P. K.
Come for the general vibe and community ethos, not for the food, which can be hit-or-miss. Beware that "family friendly" means that there may be noisy children and screaming infants, and that the only drink available is tap water, so if you want anything else, you have to bring it with you.
b.
Very nice hidden away vegan restaurant/cafe. Tasty food which is reasonably priced. Old school classic decor. Simply menu which provides Quick service of food. Will be back again!
d. o.
Been several times this year.. some mixed reviews. Most disappointing was taking my date along on a thursday. Waitress was rather unattentive and food moderate. Every other time howeever the food has been great. Love being able to bring along your own wine and drinks. Love the community atmosphere. Would definetly recommend for the novelty if nothing else. Also, i would come along a little earlier to have a look around the commiuntiy gardens! enjoy!
S. B.
Quirky, cosy and really friendly atmosphere. Great tasting vegan food that smells great as soon as you walk through the door. Will definitely return.
R. A.
Magical place, the best hidden gem in London. Value for money, atmosphere, quality of food, location.. everything on point.
T. S.
The food was spectacular. The staff were friendly though overwhelmed with the number of customers. The place is a bit scruffy or hip if you prefer. I would happily go back.
J. B.
Love the place, great food, locally sourced, fantastic value for money
A. N.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. This place is relaxed, inexpensive and has excellent vegetarian food. We wipe our plates clean every time we go!
T. N.
The booking system is shoddy - you text the chef & they confirm. We followed the process but when we arrived they didn't have our booking for 5 and had to squeeze us in telling us to leave early for another booking. Service was slow but this have been due to a hen night in at the same time. It is very small so gets loud quickly and is cramped. I wouldn't recommend as it's risky for picky eaters too (no menu - 3 vegetarian options given on the day).
G. d. T.
One of the most novel and authentic restaurants in town. I love the fact that every night has a different chef and the menu is constantly changing. The fact that it's really good value for money doesn't hurt either.
M. S.
My wife was very anxious to take to visit the Bonnington Cafe, and I really liked it, it is a Very cozy and familiar restaurant. I loved the ambience and the Meal of the day was delicious! And also the prices are really great!
N. M.
Cosy delicious vegetarian food. Small place with really friendly cooks. Have a different cook every day. Only complaint is that the booking system is a bit tricky involving sending emails and texts to cook on the day.
K. K.
This place is incredibly interesting, but be warned, dont expect to get your food on time, but... you will get it with a genuine smile. You feel right at home here.It is very intimate and cosy and, on average, the food can be very delicious. I think there is a strong sense of community and approachability here which, I think, is something that London has lost.
G. A.
A really special place. I'm not a vegan, but I loved the food and the service was bright and friendly. Fabulous value for money too.
H. W. (.
Well priced and fun atmosphere. My dish was actually "raw" which I didn't realise until afterwards - a good sign probably! The raw berry dessert was absolutely delicious. BYOB too which is always a good thing!
G. W.
The best place to eat in London if you are a normal person. The friendliest people and most taste per penny spent, plus my mum loved it so its a win win win. Big thank you to Zoe who cooked for us.
C.
Little warm, friendly, cosy heaven hidden near the station. You have to go and feel happy and warm inside!!! Amazing food, people, atmosphere, the world needs more places and people like that! Thank you for being beautiful!!
M. R.
This place is unique, with a different menu everyday and variety of vegan food. Service is always friendly. Recommended to all the vegans out there!
C. D.
I've been there on a friday night : atmosphere was amazing! Staff started to sing old french songs, a musician played accordeon...
And food was delicious, even so I am not a big fan of veggie dishes.
One of my best addresses in London, I recommand !
P. T.
Probably one of the best eating and social experience in London - great place!
c.
Absolutely wunderba place. the food is second only to the great ambience and the fantastic shop/place-to-get-wine-for-the-meal across the road. to book in advance you have to contact the chef in person, I can say even that was an honour
P. O.
I've been here a few times. The food is hit and miss - it's always atleast ok and sometimes excellent! The atmos is always good and the clientèle are my kinda people. It's basically a house with some tables in, but you get a great meal (if you're on a hit day) for cheap as chips (no chips). The booking system is from the Victorian era though.
The thing is about this place is that the charm of it makes you overlook any shortcomings. It's always packed so I don't want to recommend it for fear of not getting a table...
A. M.
Lovely cafe, dishes are reasonably priced (quite rare in London) and very yummy. The ceiling could do with a fresh lick of paint though :)
S. D.
Fantastic gem which has a very friendly atmosphere and great cooking. I love the idea of a community cafe and looking at the number of chefs waiting to cook, it appears to be working very well.
k. a. (.
Tasty vegan food at good prices in a pretty square. One of Vauxhalls best food options. There are different chefs each day. Cash only.
K. G.
Great veggie/vegan food, very cheap too! Two choices of starters, mains and puddings. All very good!
S. S. B.
Nice small menu of freshly made vegan food from regularly alternating chefs. Cosy comfort food. Friendly, relaxed place and speedy service.
g. m.
Love it here. Such a lovely Parisian feel to this little Atmospheric restaurant and with a different chef every night you get such amazing different food every time.
A. S.
Delicious vegan food at excellent prices. Very relaxed vibe. Looking forward to next time.
Y. H. K.
Lovely place, lovely chefs and waiters and the food is excellent (at least it is on Fridays when Rachel is cooking). Rachel's puddings are unbelievable and vegan :)
A. S.
I did not enjoy the food so much, it felt like from a school canteen: too dry and spicy. However, the atmosphere is amazing and the concert upstairs was astonishing.
F. I.
The tastiest vegan/veggie food I have ever tried! Low key and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended!
m. v.
Cute community-lead vegetarian little restaurant; there is normally a set menu of two different options and you can bring your own alcohol; very good value and food is normally (not always) good.
B. W.
Great find. Such a nice quaint place, chilled atmosphere with fantastic food, fairly priced and a bring your own wine. Highly recommended
m. m.
Relaxes, homely venue, with an amazing array of guest chefs. And it's BYO with no corking charge. Yummy. Try Sunday evenings with the Raw Fairies in the kitchen.
J. C.
Always fantastic food and atmosphere. Can't knock the prices - BYOB with corkage at 50p per person. Boom.
S. “. H.
I go there to have lessons. In one of the rooms above the cafe. The restaurant, does look friendly and inviting. I will try a meal there one day. I will keep you informed.
R. J.
Family friendly restaurant. Despite being a very busy place, I never have to wait too long for food. Staff are friendly . My daughter loves this place.
N. E.
Love this place for it's healthy, happy food and the community feels. Suggestions: slightly bigger portions and both times the food has been cold.
J. B.
I hear the food is amazing I hear, however I couldn't cope with the reverberation of all the tables talking all at once above each other. I didn't stay to sample the menu.
S. W.
Cozy place. The menu was really good when I went: only complaint was that the food could perhaps have been a little hotter. But well worth a visit!
T. D.
Fantastic place, with neighbours and local people coming in to cook vegetarian meals for a very good price..you.can get a 3 course meal for under £20 and its bring your own.
A. B.
