Reviews of Brewhouse & Kitchen - Islington (Angel)

The highlight of my London weekend away (bar the England Wales result) was coming to Brewhouse & Kitchen for a Brewery Experience day and getting merry here afterwards. The staff Mudi, Thomas, and co where knowledgeable about their stock and catered for all our needs. Thanks for a class day, would recommend.

A really good find for us on our way to Sadlers Wells. You have to pre- book food at this time of year which is a bit of a fad but the welcome, the buzz and the excellence of the food and drinks was top drawer ! All that is good about a London Pub serving food. The fish and chips were just the job for us. Thanks particularly to mine host who did a great job.
K. G.
Enjoyed the selection of beers very much! Great ambience and overall very enjoyable experience.

Worrying to have no soap in the toilet. I mentioned this to a staff member but nothing was done, so I assume no soap on the premises? This is a restaurant during a pandemic. Not good. Also, the bottles of sauce, mayo etc get passed from table to table with no attempt to clean them between customers. They felt greasy to the touch. I hope management read this and improve things.

Visited with a group from work for Christmas party and triple thumbs up for the organisation and set up. It was lovely. Good music, good service. The food was ok too, not overly spectacular but it works! Will definitely recommend for a super big group!

Absolutely amazing. If you love beer this is the place to be. We tried this place during our visit to London. Flights and appetizers for less than 30 pounds. Food was great, the beer was even better and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Only thing to point out was their food menu said 12-5pm. Not sure if the menu switches or they stop serving food after 5pm. Either way. Go for the beer!
A. F.
We stopped by here for a bite to eat before heading to Camden head for a comedy show. The beer selection is expansive and the food menu includes a wide variety of tasty meals. We were lucky enough to stop by on a Sunday, so I was able to try the Sunday roast, which was absolutely delicious. Portions are large and the prices are reasonable!
K. P.
Give this a 5 star as we was only drinking here. Jean-Yves services us , good guy. The only down point was the onion rings. But we didn’t let that change the stars. Also they had table service which was awesome.
J. W.
If you are dining in the evening be aware that at least 6 tables are reserved from 6pm.
My experienced on a Thursday showed less than half the reservations actually arrived.
N. P.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The beers were good and worth working through the list, whether their house brews or the good selection of imports they maintain.
C. F.
A beautiful place to be with friends. The BBQ for 2 is just amazing !!!! Most important : beers are homemade, if you cannot drink alchool you have a large choise of alchool free beers (the lemon ginger is so delicious). You can be on an atypical place with favirous musics and a verry simpatic staff !!!
Funny fact : in the restroom you have a mirror with an hashtag ! Send them your photographs on tweeter !!!
B. K.
Had a great evening with my friends out at the bar wonderful drinks and wonderful food. Also the staff were really friendly too!! Tom was a wonderful chat while Christina was so good with our somewhat annoying orders! Well done guys!!

This is a new venue taking on all the brewing side of the business together with the hospitality side of things. Well done, it has gone well and this is a lovely place to stop off and have a drink. Please enjoy!
J. A.
Wonderful place; of course, superb beers and ales, reasonably priced and fresh; excellent food; nice layout; great folks work here.
H. T.
Sunday afternoon, quiet. Plenty of space
Staff friendly. Food looks good. Calamari bit soggy. Full EnglishBreakfast was good. Eggs Benedict was good balance of hollandaise sauce.
D. S.
I visited this home brew north London real ale House on Friday 12th November 2021
This pub and brewery for dedicated real ale drinkers is a must to visit when in this area of London
G. M. S.
Look, I rather just say that this wasn't my favourite Brewhouse and Kitchen experience. It was noisy and a bit loud. The food was good as always, the service was ok, prices alright for a London place competing with a spoons. Overall, I wouldn't come back except to get some of the excellent microbrewed beers they have (kegs, not big bottles like in Nottingham) but still half a decent experience, I'm guessing, if you go over there and it's not terribly crowded. Picture attached is of my favourite bottled beer for tonight. A good Peanut Butter stout.
J. M. C.
One of the yummiest fish & chips I've ever had. The crunchy batter on the fish and chunky fries were a big hit. Great sauces and ales as well.
W. L.
Love this pub. Can get a little busy with post work people, but as long as you can get a table (and you can reserve them), this all adds to the ambiance. Drinks selection, particularly the beers and ales are amazing and the food is INCREDIBLE. Excellent gastro pub food. Everyr ing we've ever had has been super tasty and the vegan beetroot and pesto risotto I had last night was out of this world (considering I'm not vegan, it just sounded so tasty I couldn't resist It! Not too expensive and we'll worth a visit.
F. P.
Amazing brewhouse. They have a lot different kind of beers, very tasty. Staff are very kind and friendly.
D. S.
Great place to go for a social drink. The staff are incredibly friendly and contribute to the enjoyment of having a drink with you friends/family. Also helps the outside seating is a suntrap....go on a sunny day and it's much better.
G. H.
Really friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Nice place to sit and talk with a friend
R. P.
Great venue, lovely atmosphere, own brewed beers and superb food - the fish & chips was amongst the best I've ever had
A. K.
Great beer, quiet but very nice
M. B. P.
Great local pub. Great range of beer on tap
J. W.
We did the Beer Masterclass. Not only was Dan cracking company for the two hours but also very knowledgeable and passionate about it. Excellent beer choices and food top drawer as usual.
t. a.
SLIGHTLY disappointing selection of real ales- just 2, a house bitter and an AIPA, but both were very quaffable, and the food was very good... Not pricy for the location..
H. T.
Tasty food, though the Eggs Benedict was not piping hot. Calamari was not crispy. Price was reasonable. Staff seemed friendly. Was there for lunch on Sunday afternoon.
P. C.
Food came quickly but, wow, the bar service is painfully slow. Really slow. Really really slow. Longest I’ve waited for 3 beers perhaps ever
R. E.
Spacious, with rustic interior & protective screens for Covid security, this place is a great spot for a casual meal and drinks with friends etc in these troubling times...
Staff were lovely, particularly a lady whose name I sadly did not get. Wide selection of drinks, around £5/6 a pint - a bit more for some of the stronger/more exotic options. All ordered via phone (QR code). Quick service!
Food was very tasty, had a 1/4 chicken with buffalo sauce w/ skin on fries and lemon & garlic broccoli. All in all, highly recommend!
唐.
Very nice atmosphere and great beer. Didn't have chance to try the food but it looked good.
N. H.
Lovely food and beers recommended
B. M.
Slow service! Had to wait 5-10min to get served though there was nearly nobody ordering at the bar. Only one of the four bartenders was actually serving people (one was collecting glasses, the other two were taking together) and was not serving people in order they came to the bar (I understand it can be difficult to always get this right).
Good selection of drinks, including some really nice Belgian beers
L. E.
Very lovely venue. Their draft beers were gluten free and very lovely, would recommend!
M. P.
Not as warm and friendly as it used to be. Manager has changed and the staff were all temps. Took ages to order.
P. M.
I attended a brewing course here a few months ago and was very impressed. The range of in-house beers are superb and expertly brewed. The head brewer was extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a real passion for his work. The food is also delicious. The menu is well thought out and compliments the beers. Portions are generous and the pricing is fair (for this part of London). Highly recommended if you are in this part of town and fancy something different to drink from commercial/mass produced beer.
N. M.
Had an amazing time, fish and chips was amazing, and the BBQ Ribs were delicious! Dan and Jordan both delivered too class service, a huge thank you to you both!
P. J.
Great pub food, the breaded mac and cheese bites alone are worth going back for. Large selection of beers; the low alcohol beer from tap was an excellent choice. Nice atmosphere and decoration too - highly recommended.
H. T.
Wanted to eat a Sunday roast but they ran out. HOWEVER, being new to this joint we chose 2 platters and were very interested in the beer they brew. The staff were very friendly and very helpful in choosing a beer for us to drink. They even gave us free tasters! The food was actually delicious. Very happy and would recommend!
E.
great selection of beers on tap. Any place that serves Samuel Adams draft - probably one of the most underrated beers in the U.K., given its presence in the U.S. - deserves a thumbs up. nice to sit here for the lunch menu before it gets really busy in the evening. If you're looking for a little buzz instead, come later - it does get busy but service is very quick.
E. K.
Excellent establishment. Great selection of ales. Also has a piano as you enter which has the words from a Chas and Dave song all over it.
P. C.
Good food, good beers, friendly service. What more could you need?
B. J.
Good selection of own brewed and guest beers. Food is good value too.
J. C.
Very tasty food and a couple friendly bartenders to pass the time with. We were just passing through London on our way South and ate here twice in two days. A live band on the second night (Sunday) was also very good and took us back to New Orleans.
G.
Very nice and big bar. Great place to hang out with friends or go to as a big group. Many different types of drinks but mostly beer. Nice couches, the atmosphere and design was good. Can order a varity of snacks and food. You can also order a beer-tasting for around 20 pounds-a-person. Try their self-brewed beer!
P. S.
Beer choice is amazing! The menu describes each of the beers in great detail so you can pick the best for you. Some nice stronger beers in the 8% range that you don’t often see on tap elsewhere.
Food was ok. Better quality than spoons round the corner but nothing special. Tables were pretty wobbly too which was a little annoying.
That said I would easily go back instead here instead of the weatherspoons round the corner if just for the beer alone.
G. B.
Boutique pub with ok food & compulsory micro brewery. Good atmosphere, mostly office workers letting off steam, but friendly!
F. S.
The burger was nice, but nothing to die for. Sadly, in a city like this, a burger needs to be mind-blowing, given the insane competition. I also found the portion of fries quite small, but the pub looks wonderful, the service is exquisite, the prices are very honest and the beers are among the best you can find in London, both in terms of quality and variety. Highly recommended.
C. C.
Decent enough food and beer, the atmosphere felt a little corporate/contrived to us
S. v. T.
In one word: amazing! Great staff and many different, delicious beers. Ask the staff for advice about which beer matches with your taste. The food is also very good. Definitely will visit again when I'm back in London!
J. O.
Good beer, bad food. Some really good craft beers here; lots of variety and good tasting. I got a classic burger which tasted like a frozen Iceland burger cooked for far too long; tasteless, gristly and chewy, I really don't think they make their burgers fresh on site. Very disappointing food. But the beer is good. Get drinks here, but not food.
A. L.
Came in tonight for a few drinks with friends.
The food was excellent and the service from Steve, Dan and the team was great. Very comfortable with following the COVID guidelines too.
C.
Nice, but not the best B&K... Last time I was there they were out of 3 of their own taps! I personally prefer the one in Highbury & Islington, which is also larger. However is still a good spot with nice food. 👍
R. L.
Been here a few times and generally been very happy with the beer, food and staff. On my most recent visit though I tried their own brewed Myddleton ale which tasted like water (definitely not a 4.5% beer). Was not impressed when the manager just shrugged and said that was how it supposed to taste! Hopefully this was just a one off experience. Giving 3 stars due to previous better experiences.
A. D.
Nice pub with a really good choice of beers and a decent food menu. Nice decor and atmosphere, especially the big tables you can seat the whole team at. Service could be a be a bit faster though – you sometimes need to wait quite a while at the bar before you’re served even in the less busy times.
R. I.
Stayed in islington for my birthday weekend and stumbled into the brew house after coming out of angel underground station on our return from a tiring day at Camden market just for a pint and ended up having a few more plus dinner . Wide range of beers including lager which I like especially there own brew lager and we had a beer can chicken dinner which I highly recommend. Special thanks to Maria for her hospitality from me and my wife Janet we especially enjoyed our two visits over the weekend and we will return on our next visit in the not too long future and wish the brew house all the best for the future . Thanks Richard an Janet x
J. V.
Had a great time at a Brew Day to celebrate International Woman's Day. Our host Riaz was amazing....very informative and friendly keeping us well supplied with an assortment of delicious beers whilst taking us through the brewing process.
Thank you
R. S.
Serves its own ales. Was commenting to a mate that I wasn't keen on the one I had chosen and was overheard by the barman who exchanged it for me - great service!
D. W.
Did the brewery academy, fantastic day learning (and doing) all about how beer is brewed. Riaz was a superb host and lead brewer on the day and tried a wide range of own brew beers as well as making the next batch of American pale ale (so I'm to blame if it isn't perfect 😊). Food was great and really nice pub for a casual drink or meal, would highly recommend.
G. P.
I didn't have one but the roasts look absolutely fantastic. I wanted to swap one of the elements with something else but customer first is not a thing in this place hence only 4 stars! But I would still recommend going for a Sunday roast. Avoid the "pie". I had bangers and mash - guess you can't really go wrong but it was very nice!
E. D.
This was quite a good pub, I met several ex work colleagues here for a beer or two.
They brew and sell craft beers made on the premises as well as the usual beers that you might expect in a mainstream pub.
They also sell good food (hot as well as cold) so overall this was a great venue to have chosen.
P. G.
My wife and I visited Aug 16 and had a tasting + burger session.
I have to say that this is now probably one of my favourite drinking establishments!
The drinks were just epic, the bar was relaxed and really well decorated (in my opinion). The lady who gave us an overview on the beers and the brewing process was amazing and knowledgeable (boy can she drink) and the burger..... oh the burger!!!! I think I will always be my 'benchmark burger'.
Pay the fee and do the tasting and burger guys, you definitely get your money's worth!
J.
Cosy bar, great great selection of beers, some of which are brewed on site. Just can be a little noisy at times.
But, more than just great food and beer, it has the added distinction of being a working brew house which offers 'create your own' brewing sessions and enlightening brewery tours.

Two miniutes from Angel Tube. Great selection of high quality cider to enjoy on a nice summer day in London. Great for business meetings, artist chill out time and a quick bite to eat. A little to much noise for a first date. But great place with wonderful staff.
A. E.
Great beers, good food and nice service, but there's something missing; it isn't quite a pub. Maybe it's missing some atmosphere, or perhaps the interior is too modern, but Brewhouse is an odd beast. It's there for drinking and it serves beer, but I can't imagine reading the paper here on a Saturday, or having a pub quiz in a weeknight. Nothing wrong with its different personality, but if you're looking for a traditional local this isn't the place.
S. B.
Had a very good evening there! The staff are very friendly, and Jack provided top class service 👍🏻 Thank you B&K!
A. W.
I was given a voucher for the Beer Masterclass, which came with a free burger and chips.
The Masterclass was amazing, eight beers of varying styles in pristine condition served by a real expert in the art of beer brewing; he had a very infectious and entertaining manner and kept us all involved, intrigued and laughing throughout the experience. He had a wide-ranging knowledge of different breweries around the world and more than a few stories to tell, and it was so refreshing to leave the masterclass feeling that we'd genuinely learned something.
The pulled pork burger and chips were very tasty and went down extremely well after the beer tasting. We didn't have a chance to hang around but could see the bar had a huge selection of taps, cans and bottles including some brewed on the premises. The location is on Angel high street and within easy access of public transport, in a nice area. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night but the staff managed it extremely well.
A. G.
Had a great evening there. Good beer. Good food - especially the starters - and the best of company. Looking forward to our next visit when in London again. Keep up the good service.
T. A.
Got the classic B and K burger with goose ipa. Not a fan of the ipa. Had a bitter aftertaste.. however can tell it was fresh and they clean the pipes/pumps properly. Food was OK. Chips with burger were really nice and crispy. Burger had a nice flavour. They didn't taste frozen. Decent pub grub. Can't give it a five star as it's just pub food. Would come back again to try their great selection of drinks.
D. L.
Visited a couple of times and a decent range of beers. However service was a bit off both times and the food was terrible the first time and then couldn't even order the second time as the kitchen closed early despite the menu stating that the kitchen is open until closing. Average at best.
J. L.
Great place with a wonderful atmosphere, I loved the selection of ales available and had a wonderful time ! Thanks again to our Waiter Gabriel, a blessing of a waiter in these times !
Will definitely be going there again !
I. F.
Great onion rings, pretty good beer selection
D. L.
Went to a "Beer Masterclass" essentially 8 samples of beers of different styles and a burger. 2 hours of great entertainment provided by Peter and the other participants.
Peter was funny and entertaining, a credit to the company. The place is easy to find (out of Angel tube, left and left again and you are there). The beers were all in perfect condition and some were brewed on the premises. The burger was good as were the hop salted chips. Don't worry, they don't actually serve Watneys!
D. R.
Great pub to book a table and have drinks and a catch up with a bunch of friends. Beer selection is excellent and service is friendly and attentive. The food is average, I had a burger which disappointingly had pieces of hard fat and some under-cooked chips.
e. s.
Been a few times to meet a friend for a catch up, few nibbles and drinks. Quick service when we have been, and the bar food comes quick and is quite nice.
Busy after work but this doesnt impact too much, and good amount of seating which helps people not standing at the bar so you can actually get to it!
D. W.
You know what you’re going to get at the Brewhouse, regardless of location. Solid beer choice and sticky finger food, there are healthy options too.
S. M. B.
Nice place to chill out after work with a group of friends. The place is quiet enough to have a good conversation. They have a wide range of beers. I really enjoyed the white beer.
T. C. C.
Fantastic selection of drinks with their own brews. Good location and nice atmosphere inside, close to many cocktail bars to and surrounded by great restaurants. Easy to access and spoilt for transport options. A great place to meet up before heading out for the rest of the night.
A. O.
I like this pub. Quality beers at fair prices, nice decor, a good vibe without being too crowded and the music is not too loud so for once you don't have to yell straight in the ear of your nearest friend to actually have a conversation. The food is alright, the staff is kind.
S. D.
As a regular customer, I have recently noticed that the quality of food has diminished over time and the portion sizes of the lunch menu seem to have halved. You could call the lunch menu more a list of starters :/
That said, the best aspect of this pub is the choice of beers and ciders that they have to offer. The atmosphere is great, it's just the food is getting worse and worse in recent times (maybe due to Brexit's effect on ingredient prices).
S. N.
Great selection of beers and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They even had a German cloudy wheat bear (hefe weizenbier) on tap, which I have never seen in Britain before. And there were a number of their own locally brewed beers as well, all of which I quit liked. Also the portion of fish and chips was one of the largest I have ever eaten in a pub. And the chips were as chunky and tasty as one can hope for. Not something you can get anywhere in my homeland Finland. Definitely a place worth visiting if you are in the neighbourhood.
L. G.
Very nice place with good beer and good. I recommended it.
S. S.
My first visit, and I was very impressed. Great selection of beer, and the food looked amazing. Friendly and attentive service, lovely atmosphere to the place, and a wide spectrum of punters. Will be adding to my list of places to frequent......
J. L.
Great selection of beer but really let down by the food. Avoid the chicken satay starter, limp salad and a few small pieces of chicken. Average pub food. Beer can chicken was good but came with cold chips and not enough coleslaw.
P. L.
We didn't try the food, but the beer was good and the staff very friendly and helpful. The place is falling into the modern urban-brewery-pub-category, and nothing wrong with that. Just don't go here if you want the authentic British experience.
R. C.
Great service, good food and massive range of ales. Also booked our Christmas drinks here. Great experience. On a busy night food orders were delivered surprisingly but satisfyingly fast.
A. B.
Nice place for drinking a beer or have a diner, nice and friendly staff.
G. O.
Came here last week and really enjoyed the evening (although Covid prevented a bigger group of us). The app was easy to order from and the team was really great, especially Alex. Top lad!
M. D.
Amazing place! Wonderful ale and great service! A special shout-out to the barman Gabriel that gave us a good laugh
S. W.
Nice and relaxed. Very reasonably priced beer and food for London. No sundaes in stock allegedly, so I had to have an average cheesecake.
N. W.
Fantastic range of beers brewed here. Easy to get to as it's just around the corner from the Tube station, but easily missed as people usually head in the opposite direction if they don't know the area.
I haven't tried the food here, but it looks great.
M. B.
I hovered between3 and 4 stars, but it got 3. Reason?? places like this should be nailing the food. Unfortunately, what I had was a pretty laz effort.
The venue is a north American style bar/brewhouse. Location is excellent, right on the junction at Angel, although if you didn't know it was here, you'd walk right past. Good, friendly vibe inside. Lots of different beers to sample, and the menu *LOOKS* interesting.
Unfortunately the execution leaves something to be desired. Crab cakes were just little deep fried discs, falafels ditto, chipotle mayo just tasted muddy. Baby ribs were totally average. In general, the kitchen has the feel of straight from the freezer to the fryer, or grill plate, with nothing being prepared on prem. Its not the end of the world, and you can happily sit here and enjoy the beers, but the bar is getting higher for food and this place is firmly in the 'average' zone.
P. D.
Euen, Gabe and Dan made sure we had a great experience tonight. Fun, efficient and very helpful with their recommendations!
R. F.
Really nice atmosphere on a Thursday night, wonderfully polite staff and following COVID guidelines to a T! Highly recommend (special shout-out to Dan for the wonderful service she provided)
S. C.
Well..I probably lack the skills to differentiate between the several hundred pubs all around London, unless something is really exceptional or striking. Worst part is, I don't even drink beer in most of these places. So as usual, this one was nice. But nothing exceptional.
D. B.
Attentive service, excellent food, reasonably priced, lovely atmosphere - a London gem. Try the chicken satay or the beer buns. Only drawback is the yummy mummy brunch crowd (volume control optional). Highly recommended.
M. B.
A lot of choicest of craft beers and amazing beertails
A. H.
So surprised, genuinely delicious food...Had the bacon eggs benedict starter and everything was perfect...Amazing hollandaise, bacon was griddled beautifully and eggs poached to perfection. Tried a few other dishes too and all were cooked and flavoured so well. Good service too.
M.
Cosy place. Quite loud but nice food especially the chicken wings were so good. They offer us a free beer. Overall we enjoyed the food and place
J.
Great spot for after work drinks. A decent selection of brewskis to choose from - and some rather delicious ales to boot! Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful.
B. N.
Great place to eat and drink. Tasty, well presented food and excellent choice of craft beers, some brewed on the premises.
c. d.
Very friendly staff, good drinks only 4 star as I didn't have any food here but the food around me smelt good. A good pub to go to.
F. M.
Great food and an interesting choice of unique beers. Offers some outdoor seating. Interior is styled like a brewery which makes it different. Service is OK.
N. H.
Great beer, big and spacious, but I got my backpack and laptop stolen here, and the cctv happened to note be working that night.
3 stars is harsh but I was very annoyed by this, kind of ruined my view of this place.
Other brewhouse and kitchens in London are awesome though, walk the extra 15 minutes and go to the one by Angel tube station instead.
D. W.
The staff were very accommodating for a group booking that had individuals arriving at different times. There's a good selection of unique beers and the food was tasty.
J. C.
I gather it's a hang out for the students from City university, thus explains how busy they were on an early Wednesday evening. However, food and drinks were pretty good 😋. The beer is brewed on site and Hubby seemed to have enjoyed it.
J. T.
Excellent food, best selection of beer I've ever seen in any pub, great customer service, highly recommend this place if you're in the Angle area.
J. L.
Great beers and atmosphere. We work above so amazing to have a great pub just 4 flights of stairs away. Food is also delicious
S. P.
Excellent range of beers at good prices. Comfortable surroundings and food available until 10pm. Try the Hot Black Dessiato!
L. S.
Head down here for amazing fresh beer
M. R.
Visited on a Wednesday night, great selection of food / drinks, I am off the booze but drunk Erdinger non-alcoholic which is fantastic, still a great beer taste without the alcohol - love it. I recommend trying the food, I ate a "Dirty Dog" best hot dog I've had full stop. I only gave it 4 stars as one of the members of staff threw a strop after he got me an Erdinger beer, when I asked for non-alcoholic Erdinger, he then poured the worst pint I've seen and slammed the bottle on the bar splashing me with beer - no need for it but it didn't spoil a great night.
I. v. B.
If you want to taste beer, This is the place to go. Amazing staff and the place is looking really good. They also brew their own beer, which tastes great!
N. W.
Great beers from this Microbrewery....offer a small sample if unsure of which to try.... well worth a visit. Lots of tables and good food on offer
T. M.
No toilet paper in the gents', despite it being a quiet early Sat eve.
The Dunkel on tap was a bit flat and watery, not sure if it was an experimental brew from this branch (it wasn't on Untapped). £4.95 a pint so OK for London.
Last time I went I gave this a 5*, today was a 3* so averaging it out to 4*...
P. S.
Delicious food great beer, good service. Tried Brewhouse in Bournemouth so I thought I would give this one a go and I wasn't disappointed
C. M.
Really nice and varied beer selection. Own brand, so I believe it was brewed local or on site. Nice food and, given its location, not too expensive.
M. M.
Great location on the corner at Angel with good ale selection and really nice interior, but the food was very mediocre and service not much better.

Good beer, good burger, but when it's crowded the sound bouncing off the hard walls makes conversation a shouting match. So, great for mates, but not so good for a tate-a-tate.

Well..I probably lack the skills to differentiate between the several hundred pubs all around London, unless something is really exceptional or striking. Worst part is, I don't even drink beer in most of these places. So as usual, this one was nice. But nothing exceptional.
A. K.
Good burgers, nice selection of beers. Spacious and have space outside as well.
