Reviews of Bronek's Fish Restaurant
R. J.
Brilliant place for seafood. I had one of the best traditional Fish and Chip dishes here.
Bronek's is a gem of a restaurant. I defo recommend it. Great seafood and a brilliant experience. Staff are genuine salt of the earth and hospitable and friendly.
Check it out.
D. K.
EDIT: Take home experience not so great! Paid around £50 for one lobster which looked to be around 500grams, did not seem big enough for 3 people and the mixed seafood dish had too many potatoes and not enough octopus - at least for the price. There seem to be bigger portions of you eat-in. 26.12.2021
Best seafood in the world! I have eaten seafood in Monaco and Mayfair and this is equal if not better in many ways! Great value for money and a nice casual atmosphere. You can also bring your own wine!!!

What a wonderful experience. The food is delicious. The place is quirky. The service is bespoke. If you like fish/seafood then you'll love the food here. Anything from fried fish, to grilled lobster and anything you want to be honest. Bronek will even serve you up some Polish salads if you ask nicely. Just give it a try and enjoy for yourselves!

Best seafood restaurant in London. A real gem. Lovely personal service from the chef and staff. Very generous portions. This is now my favourite seafood place.

Bronek's International Fish Cuisine is a hidden gem in Northfields and, dare we say, the borough of Ealing! We simply weren't expecting either the quality of product nor the level of innovation from a place as intimate and as unassuming as this 40-cover restaurant.
At the heart of it all is owner and Chef, Bronek, who's as hospitable as he is charming; and whose vision and eccentricity have combined to create what is essentially an experience for seafood lovers. To be sure, the man loves what he does and wants his customers to leave happy and satisfied.
Given that this venue functions as a fishmonger before noon (until 11.30am everyday) and a restaurant thereafter, Bronek's International Fish Cuisine does manage to source and offer, as part of its daily 'Catch of the Day', some unusual selections, such as, if you're lucky, spider crabs and barracudas.
The restaurant, from what we saw on the day and from what we've been told, usually begins to fill up towards the late evening; so if you're planning on coming as a large group, it might be a good idea to phone and book ahead, while inquiring into what's available on the day. We visited on a Wednesday and the place was packed by the end of the evening.
Menu Recommendation
Starter - Scallops Seared with Smoked Haddock & Mushrooms/ Oysters
Main - Grouper (subject to availability)
HALAL STATUS: Fully Halal food & drinks menu • BYO alcohol
A. W.
Amazing place with great food and atmosphere. Bronek is such a cool host, helping customers with right orders. Kacper is best waiter. What most important, you can bring your own alcohol! Food is fresh and absolutely delicious! Highly recommend
L. H. F.
Service was fantastic and food was plenty and delicious. They clearly value quality in their produce and customer service. Would highly recommend
R.
The food was tasty and healthy. Staff were very friendly and talkative. Prices high, as would be expected from a seafood restaurant.
I didn't like lobsters looking sorry and staring at us while we ate our food.
R. D.
Absolutely a seafood/fish restaurant I'd revisit.
Staff was very hospitable and welcoming.
The day I visited was a lovely warm day so sat outside in the sun and enjoyed the food.
I purchased the seafood mixed platter and a fish platter with muscles as a starter.
Food was full of flavour and just the right quantity for sharing with another person.
BYOB restaurant also so had a nice tipple of white wine alongside the scrumptious food.
T.
The best seafood I have ever had. Better oysters than Borough Market! Very fresh and tasty.
Nice choice of fish.Great sharing platters.
Wild bream is to die for as is the lobster.
Reasonably priced too. Great place atmosphere is on point and the decor is great.
K. F.
Amazing selection of food, charming quirky decor, and fabulous service. Prices are good anyway but BYOB policy means it’s a surprisingly good value meal out also!
A.
A must if you are around Northfields and you like seafood. Food is fantastic and the restaurant is nice and cozy. Bronek, the captain and chef is very friendly and is always kind and helping custerms.
You can so bring your own wine and beer.
G. R.
This is a fantastic Fish Restaurant in Northfields London, a vast selection of Fish & Shell Fish and the Chef will cook them as you wish, custom orders are offered as well. Bring your own Wine.
T. H.
Loved this place. Hands down the best fish and chips around. The cod was literally to die for. And the oysters out of this world. Fantastic decor, so original. Staff were brilliant. Owner is an absolute legend, really knows his stuff! Oh and not forgetting its byob! Awesome!
F. J.
In one meal this has quickly become my favourite place for seafood in the whole of London. If you don’t have preferences, go with the chef’s recommendations for the meal - you won’t go wrong! Fresh, delicious food and a wonderful, warm atmosphere
B. K. ค.
If you love fresh seafoods, friendly vibes and reasonable prices this is the place!! Love it and will be back for sure!! Highly recommended!

You know, those little hidden gems everyone is proud to mention and to show to their friends. Well, now I have mine! Bronek's fish is a gem, the fish is tasty, well prepared in various manners, from traditional chippy way to international way (udon noodle, really? waou). Staff is super friendly. Thanks for the evening.
T. Y.
This is 100% the best sea food I have ever had. Every morsel was prepared with such care. Everything on the platter was fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. You must experience it for yourself. The service was warm and excellent.
D. B.
Finding this place today will stick with us for a long time. Such a gem of a place with real character. The food is one of the best and great value you feel like you could eat here every week.
B. M. M. L.
Best seafood place in Ealing with extremely friendly staff. Visit: 14/2/2022
Thank you
S. C.
Rustic genuine great food and Very generous portions... Go with a healthy appetite.. Or doggy bag always a back up plan option.. Bronek the host is a timeless gentleman and an honourable host.. Recommended a visit.
Oysters and lobster would be a deluxe option.. don't forget to bring your own bottle to tickle your fancy...
A. P. S.
This was my first try of Broneks on Northfields Ave.It's great to have a local seafood restaurant and it has rave reviews.
The mixed seafood starter and the oysters were great. Some bread to soak up the garlic butter would have been a nice touch.
The lobster not so. We ordered a grilled lobster in garlic butter and a lobster thermidor, to be told by the waiter that they were the same thing more or less which was a little confusing !
The thermidor arrived burnt but was replaced with no questions asked upon this being pointed out.
The lobsters are priced according to size. We went for small. There was not a lot of lobster for £24
Service was slow. Maybe because it was a Sunday.
The BYOB policy is always appreciated.
Would we go back. Absolutely yes but maybe not for the lobster.
M. J.
Bronek's fish is by far the best in L-town.
From the starter to the mixed platter/grill selection, simply yummy! Generous portions too...
To top it off, customer service is top notch - Very kind and polite in their manner.
Due to lockdown, had to do a takeaway but would love to dine in once life returns to normal and have the food piping hot.
Highly recommend!!!
G. W.
I went here after i was late for my reservation elsewhere and am not going to lie am soo happy that i did ....the food was very delicious and the staffs are so polite . Its not a big place but the setting is unbelievable great ..... Definitely going to be a regular visit with the boys... thanks for the experience
F. M.
The food who was great! I ordered the seafood platter which is served in a pan of a very tasty oil. This allows you to dep the fresh fish into this, absolutely beautiful!
The theme of the venue is very unique and adds ti the overall fresh fish experience.
The only reason it's not 5* is because my girlfriend ordered the battered cod, which was not great.
This is a venue you go to, to enjoy some great fresh fish. On this it delivers, I recommend this place.
M.
Just had our late lunch today. As expected to take time before your order will arrive. One of our order is mix platter which I found only shells of mussels and some with small meat. The noodles taste funny, a bit sour. I love the squid and my husband love the shark. We haven’t finished our platter as we need to rush home.
Suggestion: please to remove the noodles on the platter better to replace with more potato/salad or corn on the cob. Noodles like that can easily spoil and it didn’t matched with seafood.
I will recommend the place for people who love seafood like me.
I will definitely come back to try the other dishes they have.
K. G.
Ordered for collection to bring home - we rang up in advance but had to wait for over an hour for food because they were busy so be mindful. We had originally wanted a couple of lobsters but were persuaded to get the mixed sharing platter which had so much variety. Platters come with sides of veg and potatoes, was more than enough food for two, I’d say was too much! It was tasty but my one complaint would be that they gave us the smallest lobster known to man... and that’s the only thing I wanted originally! Would go back but I think I’d order more specific items now that I’ve tried a bit of everything. Favourite items were the lobster (albeit small), octopus, soft shell crabs and calamari. Their fish and chips smelled good and seemed to be what most customers were getting. If you do get the mixed platter, they charge £30 deposit for taking the plate away - you return it clean to them and they will refund.
p.
wonderful, would eat you very well and very good. I recommend the place.
D. S.
It was amazing! Very good food and service 😊
R. B.
Wow. My girlfriend and I had a brilliant evening here - we travelled from the other side of London because we'd heard it was THAT good. It was certainly worth the travel. Incredible selection of all types of seafood, cooked perfectly, large portions and brilliant service. Thank you Bronek!
J. O.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere/deco.Good selection of reasonably priced fish meals and it's a B.Y.O so what more do you want ..my friend and I had a lovely couple of hours there on Friday afternoon and will be returning with friends asap The chilli monkfish is fab if you are looking for suggestions
E. N.
Lovely experience! Was greeted personally by Bronek himself who personalised the meal for us 😍 we had a very generous platter of seafood, service was friendly without being overbearing and very cute decor!
B. P.
Great little restaurant for fish and seafood lovers. And the decor of the place is very interesting. I highly recommend their fish soup and mixed grill.
M. S.
A hidden gem. Fresh seafood and cozy atmosphere. We tried almost all the appetizers. In the end the owner chef even came out to greet , which was a nice touch. Will definitely visit again.
i. a.
One of the best seafood places I have eaten at. Don’t go by the unassuming look of the place, everything on the menu is Michelin star quality (much better than Scott’s and without the pretentiousness). We had mussels, crab, prawns, oyster and lobster, and everything was fantastic. Bronek is a polite host who can accommodate off-the-menu requests as well. This is a gem of a place, can’t wit to go back and try the white fish.
T. X.
The servers were helpful.
One of the best fish and chips and garlic crab.
Good place for seafood
Q. S.
Amazing experience! We have been to many seafood restaurants in various countries and can say that it is honestly world class. This is from the service right through to the flavours and how the fish was cooked. I cannot recommend this place more
R. S.
The amazing Bronex restaurant provided Ealing Soup Kitchen with a pasta bake to feed 100 of our guests. The great taste of Bronex enjoyed by the wider community. Such a great gift from a great restaurant.
D. J.
Top quality fish/seafood restaurant !! Loved every bit of this place from deco to service to food.
Definitely recommend and will be back.
E. O.
We loved this place! Very familiar environment, great food and lovely staff. Nice note: you can bring your wine from home.
I definitely recommend it!
K. W.

Amazing seafood experience. Forget the menu, speak to Bronek and he will put together a dish to suit you needs. Just pick a type of fish. The monkfish was delicious. Plenty of choice for everyone, from fish & chips to oysters to lobster! Quality, fresh fish. You won’t be disappointed.
H. A.
Excellent quality of sea food. Oysters were great. The owner take a real interest in the customers and is more than happy to help you choose what you may want to eat
A. A.
This is my go to now. Best seafood restaurant in the greater London area by far. Phenomenal food and great service. Thanks, Bronek & Casper!
D. K.
Amazing Seafood Resturant, with food tailored to your taste! Highly recommend!
L. D.
This place was beyond good. My husband and I were staying in the area just for the night and I chose this place on a whim. We love seafood, but we have never had anything as good as this. The older gentleman who runs the place really got a feel of us and what we liked and then made a plate to our specialty. There was so much food and very reasonably priced! There were even dog friendly! I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!!
C. W.
Came here to try the lobster thermidor. It was nicely cooked but there seemed to be an imbalance of cheese and what tasted like mayonnaise. So will give that a miss next time.
They were out of monk fish so he picked a perch on the display cabinet and asked how we'd like to have it. That was well prepared, served with sweet potato fries and a spicy okra. Should have warned us but luckily I love spicy. Will come back again for monk fish.
M. P.
Absolute Gem of a restaurant. Quirk, busy fishing themed design, but the star is their owner Chef Bronek & the range of seasonal fresh fish delivered daily.
We had an absolutely brilliant meal with Bronek asking & making it to our preference.
Well worth booking & making an evening of it.. Note it is a BOYB with local shop options just a few doors down!
Z. B.
This unqiue restaraunt is the bomb. The owener/chef Bronek is lovely. Food is cooked piping hot, fresh and smells great. The taste of the food is lovely the only problem is there so ooooooo many option you not sure what to have.
y. b.
Amazing fish place serving by far the best fish And seafood had in London. The owner and cook is very friendly and helps you with picking up the fish menu and explains where everything comes from. Great experience in a beautiful decor which is family friendly
E. A.
We had a great time and the food was amazing. All food fresh and very kind chef. Is a must! Go for plater! Was amazing.
PS : Asked them for a picture and they will quickly grab the sailor cap 👌
B. K.
Thankyou Bronek for the best fish I have ever tasted.....SO fabulous and fresh.
I have eaten fish all over the world and this was the best experience I've had. Lovely atmosphere too. I will be back!
T. R.
This spot is my favorite. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very attentive and the cooking they offer is so yummy. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.
J. D. I.
Best fish restaurant I ever been in UK. The place is very nice and the food was so good.
S. M.
Hands down the best seafood restaurant in London. Super good value. We ordered scallop as starter. The portion was so large that I had to double confirm if it was actually a starter. Fish stew, lobster, oysters are great. The giant prawns were not too fresh and the chef gave us a new plate and it was perfect. My favorite restaurant in Ealing.
L. O.
The food was absolutely delicious! Not only does it look good on the plate but the fresh, individual tastes left us mouth watering for more. What a cozy little place to dine at. One of the more memorable experiences.
S. C.
First visit A very good fish restaurant for London. The seafood platter was very impressive.
A little pricey, but then you expect that of fish restaurants in London.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Worth a second visit.
C. H.
Went here for valentine's Day the food was amazing and the guy who served us was lovely we will definitely be making this a regular spot!
n. p.
Bronek's Fish Restaurant serves delish seafood!
They garnish it with samphire which gives it a nice finishing
m.
Great food! If it comes to see food you have to try it here!!! Exelent service!
S. F.
I have never seen anything like it before. You just have to try to find out! Thankyou Mr Bronek🙏🏽
S. R. C.
Simply awesome; the best wild fish, prepared sympathetically to draw the optimal balance between fish and accompaniment.Superb in every respect. The quality of the seafood is unmatched in London. The cooking is optimal. Eccentric atmosphere; what more could anyone want?
The fish is all wild; nothing farmed.
Fish soup is excellent. The Brill, halibut, Turbot, lemon soleand plaice are all super quality; their respective accompaniments ordered to suit.
Cod, rock, haddock are also best in their classes. The kedgeree is wonderful.
Monkfish medallions are excellent when available.
A. K.
Excellent restaurant. Bronek is a fish expert and customises how you would like the fish done. This restaurant also does meat dishes in the daytime, and the classic full English breakfast.
In fact the menu and choice is like three restaurants rolled into one Prices are very reasonable and I always recommend based on years of enthusiastic service. Staff are nice too.
Viva Bronek's Fish Restaurant!!!
M. B.
We had dinner at Bronek's last week. We had not been there for a while however had been wanting to go there for months...The dinner was such a pleasant and joyous experience, there is a fairly wide menu to choose from...I had the mixed platter, with the half lobster, prawns , scallop and other stuff, it was delicious and everything was cooked to perfection! my husband had fish and chips, with hake, which was also amazing...On top of the food being freshly cooked and tasty, we love that it's BYO, we can really just drink what we fancy and choose it beforehand so it's to our liking. It is just great that there is a restaurant specialised in fish and it's local to us. We knew Bronek from when it was cooking breakfast mainly and we are so happy about how it developed. It makes Northfields even more special. Only reason that we did not give it 5 stars is that the floor could have been cleaner and hopefully this can be improved... No doubt we will be back!
R. L.
This place is the best restaurant in all UK! Bronek is a perfect chef, the food is unbelievable good every time we come here to eat is a wonderful experience!! Saying Highly recommended is not enough!!!
J. O.
In 20 years as a Spaniard in London, this is the best seafood restaurant i have ever had. Fantastic food and excellent service. I was impressed when Bronek mentioned how we were not his customers but his guest.
N. A.
I would post more photos of the food but it all got eaten before I got to take a photo. Incredible place. Incredible food. Highly recommend.
P. M.
1st time to this local gem. Can’t recommend it enough! Great wide ranging selection of fish, fab head chef who spends time to explain everything. I opted for the fish platter, amazing selection of 5 different fillets.
B. B.
My wife and I ate here, three days ago..
We're still full! 🤣
Delicious food and great, friendly staff!! Gotta go back at least once more before we leave London!🤩
M. P.
Just wow 😍😍 the food is fresh, delicious and full of flavours. Love love love this place! Cozy, casual and full of character 👌
A. B.
Great place. BYO so cheaper than most restaurants. The owner/head chef/receptionist /waiter will advise. Fish comes in daily. We had an excellent seafood platter for 3 £30 a head was excellent included Ocean perch, Rock Salmon, Giant Prawns, Scallops, Prawns in a provencale sauce, mussels, garlic mushrooms and samphire accompanied by 3 types of potatoes and 5 taster salads. There was no way we could eat it all. Will definitely return.
The place is in the style of a fisherman's den with many interesting items and photos on display.
The only negative was the toilet which is more suited to staff than customers
R. D.
This place obviously knows how to please their clients. Always with a very friendly approach. The food is reasonably priced, regularly delightful and neat.
C. H.
5 star, best seafood restaurant in London. Snapper, Sea Bass, Trout, Lobster the lot. Pic is a one off breakfast, hot smoked salmon, eggs and homemade hash browns. Phenomenal
O. P.
Alaways amazing and always fresh! Coming every few weeks since a few months and I've never been dissatisfied 💯
R. L.
Amazing local restaurant. The chef/owner is a fascinating dr who type character, who knows a lot about fish... sometimes ordering fish (esp fish you've never tried) can be a little intimidating, not with the doctor.. he'll cook you up something to your taste at a really good price. AND byob with no corkage.. fabulous!!!
S. L.
Best kept secret! What do I say about this place.. amazing food affords prices byob it’s got everything and most importantly authentic and unique
I. M.
A hidden gem, quality food cooked to the liking and passionate staff. Will be coming again and again.
D. S.
No frills but just really good seafood at a very affordable price. The mixed platter for 2 could feed a family and it was great!
M. I.
Really good fresh fish and reasonable prices. BYO with no corkage charge. Small disappointment that no desert available. Some ice-cream would have finished off the meal perfectly.
W. N.
Love this little place. Food was superb 👌
A rare quirky little gem for seafood.
m. b.
Excellent. Best fish restaurant I London!!!
K. B.
Best seafood restaurant in London🔥

E. F.
The food was spectacular and the service was great. They have an amazing selection of different types of fish, from lobster to salmon. Food is reasonably priced. 100% will be coming back her for years to come!!!!
M. S.
Always delicious with great service. Super fun place as its BYOB. Tesco nearby for mid meal extra bottle, and a liittle micropub over the road
W. x.
The owner is a sweet old man and fresh fish everyday. Can't wait to go back.
D. N.
I am happy that I discovered this restaurant! Everything was delicious, staff was very nice and good value for money. Book in advance and bring wine with you!
T. L.
Freshest seafood in Ealing, lots of varieties on the menu, attentive staff and reasonably priced.
A. H.
An amazing place with an outstanding atmosphere, huge portions and very tasty food, combined with great service
J. R.
Excellently cooked fish. All fresh and very hot.
M. A.
Excellent seafood cooked to perfection. Fresh and delicious, the way it should be. Try the lobster, the mix grill, or the classic fish and chips.
k. k. s.
Fantastic variety of aquatic food. Cooked to perfection.
L. H.
I’m not a fish person and yet I can’t fault this restaurants seafood. I’m not sure how you’ve managed bronek but I am excited and impatient to return for more. Everything is cooked wonderfully, grilled, perfectly seasoned. The quality reminded me of fish you get at a restaurant on the harbour somewhere abroad but that I wouldn’t expect to find in England. Good honest food that doesn’t hide behind any pretentiousness & friendly staff made the restaurant feel homely and familiar.
J. B.
Lovely little place, food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
P. R.
Consistently good quality seafood cooked to order. Only gave it four stars because once in many visits one of my friends was very ill and it's possible it was because of the fish stew they'd eaten at Bronek's. Otherwise I've always had delicious food.
K. P.
Mr. Bronek is owner/chef with an amazing talent in turning out perfectly cooked fish. I had the John Dorey cooked to an absolute perfection - tender, firm flesh, filled but bones barbequed to a crisp and rusty flavour. The Calamari batter and the imperfections were super and so was the the Monkfish cooked in garlic and chilli.
All in all a lovely fish restaurant where you could take your own bottle of wine with you!
W. E.
This place is an absolute gem.
Best seafood we have had in the UK.
The owner is lovely, and made the fish just the way we like it, Mediterranean style.
The seafood platter was amazing, the s a bass with rice, salad and potatoes was the best we've had.
Thank you. Will definitely be coming again and again.
R. S.
Very very good. Hardly any oil and fresh fish tastes grest. Served in boxes that you can eat from so no need of plates. Lovely place asweill.
My local from now on.
Z. D.
Amazing food and great staff! Will definitely come back. Thank you all! 🤗👌🏻
m. l.
The seafood mix grill is great, absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and owner. The place looks amazing too. Only downside was the giant African prawn.it was undercooked, rubbery and not gutted. Would definitely go back for the mixed grill though!
L. M.
If you love fish come to this place
Lots of lovely tasty and fresh fish.
A. M.
Very nice food and the chef is the best, thanks and we'll come back
K. H.
Greatest fish & seafood place in the area. Went there with a group of friends. Brought our own wine and beer. Had a great meal and an excellent evening. The lobster was delicious. The monkfish out of this world. The mussels, deep fried bread, so succulent. The service was very efficient and welcoming, the overall atmosphere very friendly and lovely. Can't wait to go there again.
S. N. P.
Best fresh seafood I've tried in West London! Taken away their fish n chips, calamari and soft shell crab, delish! Can't wait to come back for other dishes!
M. L.
This was our first visit and boy oh boy we were not disappointed. The deco was fab authentic and original. The service was very very good the young man who served us was a real credit to the restaurant. The food was fantastic. We had soft shelled crab and pancake rolls for starters.
S. E.
Lovely fish restaurant. Chef is very Good. Fish very fresh. Wide range of fish .
M. R.

Fabulous food ! For a belated 70th birthday lunch. The whole family throughly enjoyed the dining experience. Thank you Bronek and staff 🙂🙂
P. M.
Exceptional quality seafood. Discovered it by accident and what a gem of a place. We chose from the fish in the cold cabinet... Wife had grilled John Dorey and I had grilled pilchards. Lovely calamari for starters. Delicious. Added bonus: it's a BYO
P.
Seriously good and fresh fish! Come hungry and leave satisfied :)
V. R.
Good stop for a seafood lover. We tried scallops and lobster and we will come back. Want to try the oysters
P. H.
Amazing mussels with prawns starter and a selection of fresh fish cooked in a traditional way. The owner and his staff couldn’t have been more hospitable which is why we spent two evenings here over the weekend trip to London . You can take your own drinks and the decor makes you feel like your dining by the sea .. thank you so much We will definitely be back !
O. J.
Excellent food. But far too expensive for me.

Coming from a culture where seafood and fish is at the core of our very gastronomy. I can hand in heart say that this has been not just one of the best but THE best seafood and fish experiences I have every had. The seafood was expertly cooked to absolute perfection.
The octopus, scallops and calamari melt in the mouth and provide a burst of freshness. The Singapore lobster, a show stopper, is the pinnacle of lobster dishes. With all this said, the absolute show stopper was the chefs black cod dish. Soft as butter and sweetened with the slightest dash of miso, it’s a euphoric combination of freshness, softness and flavour.
The single best seafood restaurant in Europe
M. I.
I did expect high quality food here and was not disappointed. Their halibut (fried) was superb and almost perfectly prepared. I also tried the fried calamari and again it was excellent. This to me is the restaurant of choice to have fish/seafood in Ealing.
S. C.
Delicious fish at reasonable prices. We were treated well by the waiter, and manager/owner (?). We had the Madagascar prawns to start, stuffed lemon sole, and sea trout. I plan to return. If I understand correctly, they do not have a license to serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. Probably best to confirm that is correct.
P. A.
This was our first visit and boy oh boy we were not disappointed . The deco was fab authentic and original . The service was very very good the young man who served us was a real credit to the restaurant . The food was fantastic . We had soft shelled crab and pancake rolls for starters . Then for main course we had native lobster thermador . It was cooked to perfection . I have had lobster many many times but never as nice as this. Bring your own wine was great they provided wine glasses as well . For desert we shared a large doughnut filled with plums , wow , we will definitely be back , it’s great to find a local restaurant that is this amazing .
A. R.
Enjoyed a shared seafood platter and some side dishes...enjoyed my date night here. Partner bought his own drink and the seafood platter is huge so be prepared to eat it. Baby shark was yummy. Friendly staff and chef is Polish and fluent in English too. Would come here agian. Fresh seafood all day no frozen seafood.
I. C.
I'm so happy I found this gem today. Yummy fresh seafood? Yes, please. Waiter was super friendly as well. We were a bit lost and undecided but he was helpful and recommended the best dish. Can't remember the name :) I personally tried the seafood platter or something like that. Now I'm curious about the fish and chips and I'll allocate another visit for that. Oh, and you can bring your own booze which keeps your bill under a reasonable limit :) do try it :)
H. S.
Amazingly fresh fish and a charming owner. A really unique experience and highly recommended.
R. C.
Very welcoming and great atmosphere. I went there with a group and shared pre-planned dishes. Eclectic wide range of fish and shellfish some fried some baked and some steamed. Beautifully cooked and presented. Our group had giant portions but we bravely scaled the mountains and lived to tell the tale! Thank you Bronek for a great evening.
J. K.
Simple, unpretentious restaurant with a great fishing theme decor. And really excellent fish. Large portions but without matching prices. Take your own wine and enjoy their delicious fish. I love it.
N. B.
So glad that i tried the shark 🦈 it was amazing! The service is second to none too, a very personal experience, thank you Mr Bronek.
T. I.
Great place, great food, great service!
You can bring in your own wine, the staff is very friendly and you will have a unique experience! For me is always a day of culinary pleasure, specially if you let the chef decide your dishes or go for his recommendation 10/10 for everything!
M. L.
Fresh seafood! Highly recommend the seafood plate - so good the scallops, the lobster and the squid. The whitebait for starters too.
M. P.
Absolutely loved this hidden gem. Amazing food with great recommendations from serving staff.
Oysters were fresh, and the seafood platter was of really high quality. The price is probably the best you'll get for this quality in London. Already planning a return trip.
A. A.
Best seafood we’ve ever tried. First ever attempt at octopus and we were not disappointed. Hearty cooking no fuss no pretentiousness. Chef is very friendly and comes out to help you choose and explains things well. Everything tasted fresh. Next time we want to try the lobster. I recommend this hidden little gem in Ealing.

Food is amazing plentiful and delicious I highly recommend this restaurant
Z. D.
Good service and welcome by the chef who is a real fish specialist.
Food is great, fresh and well cooked.
Best fish and chips in town although there are much better things to eat inside than fish and chips. Fish soup is lovely!
S. H.
Be patient and you'll have the best value seafood experience in London. Remember to bring your own alcohol
D. B.
Best seafood restaurant I've ever been to. Reasonably priced, especially for the large portions. The staff and the owner were all very friendly. Cannot wait to return.
L. P.
I went there with 2 friends, food wines and desserts were amazing. Big portions, very good quality and excellent service. It’s a must
A. O.
Lovely host, huge portions, tasty and fresh fish!!!
K. L.
This was an absolutely wonderful experience, the food was so fresh and so delicious and priced very reasonably. Our host/chef was a delightful man who puts his passion into his dishes. We’re going back only 3 days after discovering it for the first time!
K. G.
Very good quality food.
M.
Scallops were cooked to perfection. Sauce was excellent. Sea Trout delicious. The presentation could be better but the service and flavoursome food is more than enough to please a chef. The place is bit cramped, but that's because there's always people in. Really and truly, what is a better review than a fully booked room filled with satisfied customers.
C. S.
Very lovely store with sea theme. The fish and chips were equally lovely. I can't wait to go back hopefully to eat on the spot next time.
M. C.
We've been coming here a few years now, and this is the best fish eatery in London for fish and seafood. I'm Italian and it's the best grilled fish I've ever had in England. I'm very fussy about my food and my mum and I stumbled upon Bronek's by chance and we were convinced it was just a little cafe - until we entered and found a little gem with nautical themes and fish to die for. Take it from fussy Italians - this is the best you'll ever taste! Highly recommended. 😁
A. P.
I had grilled mackarel with herbs which was yummy and my friend's swordfish steak looked delicious too. Lovely glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Very welcoming owner who used to be a fisherman himself and can advise you on any fish on the menu and recommend something to your taste. All the plates coming out from the kitchen for other customers looked delicious. Courteous service from the young waiters/chefs too. Toilet is at the back and accessed via the kitchen but if you ask, they will let you in. Overall - highly recommended relaxed/no formal venue for fish lovers which doubles up as a cafe too. The owner is bilingual :speaks Polish and English with fluency. 5*
A. M.
Great restaurant! One of the best in Ealing I think. Tasty, fresh ingredients and friendly staff.
Not only that but Bronek the owner helps out the local Ealing Soup Kitchen by supplying 100+ guests with an amazing fish pie meal every month for free and for no acclaim. A true gent.
M. T.
Honest food cooked beautifully. Menu is very flexible. We chanced it for lunch and got the only table left and had scallops, octopus, mackerel, lobster, crab ravioli with lovely accompaniments. Owner/chef really knows his stuff. BYO is cool with a Tesco a few doors up.
T. V.
Excellent place to have a tasty fresh fish, recommend in 100%. Smell of fresh fish in addition with inside design makes you feel like you are in the big ship , but when the dish arrive... I felt like in heaven 😁😁😁👍👍👍👍
s. r.
Lovely ambience a bit small and crowded ...good food but very long wait
a.
What a great place! Friendly & informative staff and amazing fish! Cooked to order. Great value for money and as fresh as can be. Very happy with my lunch, thank you : )
R. C.
Superb in every respect. The quality of the seafood is unmatched in London. The cooking is optimal. Eccentric atmosphere; what more could anyone want?
The fish is all wild; nothing farmed.
Fish soup is excellent. The Brill, halibut, Turbot, lemon sole and plaice are all super quality; their respective accompaniments ordered to suit.
Cod, rock, haddock are also best in their classes. The kedgeree is wonderful.
Monkfish medallions are excellent when available.
m. w.
Amazing, best fish restaurant in London. Quality better than any other it is iver 1h for me to drive there and food is so good that im willing to.
B. C.
An unassuming gem! Broneks is the only restaurant I’ve ever been to where the owner and chef come out to each table to ask what your favourite part of the meal was. David was an excellent waiter and gentleman and the food was simply delicious. Would recommend the swordfish! Got to Bronek’s, you won’t be disappointed.
S. A.
Just had the seafood platter at Broneks and it was exceptional. There are so many mediocre seafood restaurants in London but occasionally you come across a real gem-fresh produce, cooked to perfection and at very reasonable prices. To top it off a chief/owner whom takes a genuine interest in his customers.
A. S.
Amazing food, very friendly chef and staff, unique atmosphere, love this place! Definitely coming back!
m. b.
This is a no frills top quality seafood restaurant.
The owner told me the menu is only a guide, so don't be afraid to go off la carte to get what you really want (I had soft-shell crab to start - they were great!).
Take your own wine - it adds to the laid-back attitude of your favourite cheap as chips holiday seafood place on the Med but in Ealing - overall a brilliant place if what you really care about is the food and not the decor or pressed linen.
N. w.
I LOVE this place! we got a seafood platter that exceeded expectations and we got to meet the cook who is very knowledgeable about seafood. so good Ive booked again for my birthday my bew favourite local restaurant 😉
C. D.
an incredible fish experience, the provincial fish stew is delicious, (it's not tomato or cream based) and the chef revealed the magic is in the stock - I can't disclose the details, the monk fish medallions again were delicious they came with a ginger and garlic sauce to the side just so you can scrape the pattern off of the plate trying to mop it all up, amazing. for starters I would say go for the oysters and soft shell crab.
if you ever went to the lobster pot "way back when" then this will make you smile.
enjoy.
E.
After hearing many people sing praises about this place, I just had to check it out for myself.
Called and reserved a table for 7:15, no problems whatsoever.
Upon arrival was warmly greeted by all staff and Bronek himself came and sat with us for a few minutes talking about a variety of fishes he has to offer, the hours he works and how he likes keeping the restaurant local. The restaurant is small but cosy.
We ordered two lobsters - half Thermidor and half with garlic butter as per his recommendation. I don’t think we waited more than ten minutes and the meal was mouth-wateringly good. I ended up in a food coma! You can absolutely tell the food is fresh. Very pleased overall, not costly and the service was top notch. Will definitely be back.
a. o.
Good value and fresh food. Did not realise they do not sell alcohol so bring your own bottle! :)
J. L.
We spotted it on the way to Maxim's & were fascinated by the sea themed decor, the range of offerings on the menu & the diverse clientele, who were gobbling happily, despite seeming tightly packed in a comparatively small dining area.
After our less than satisfying meal at Maxim's, we decided to return the next day to give Bronek's a try.
It was a bit emptier during our visit, so didn't feel cramped & we were served quickly & efficiently. The fish soup was very rich & satisfying, but I would've preferred my toasted bread chunks to have been a more golden brown rather than having slight charring. And I would've preferred soft butter for the bread, rather then the little jug of oil.
I found the lobster thermidor to be deliciously moist & creamy, with delicate seasoning. The garlic butter lobster was a bit dry & chewy.
The prawns were a little large for me, but I'm sure other customers would've been very happy with their generous size. The roast & boiled potatoes were more than enough for us. The attractively presented little mounds of shredded veg, in the salad dish, were just enough for the 2 of us, but I wouldn't have minded some hot greens as a side dish too.
We were pleased with the polite & attentive young waiter, who sensibly cleared away all the unnecessary items on our table to make way for our dishes, & were even more delighted when Bronek, himself, came out from his kitchen to speak with several of us patrons.
When asked, he shared a little of his Brixton life, despite having Polish parents, & his Grenadian pals who influenced some of his restaurant's offerings, such as rice & peas, as well as plantain.
His passion for his cooking exuded from him, & he let us know that if we required some sort of variation in our order, he'd be happy to tailor it to our desire.
It was a new & welcome experience for us, & we can't wait to revisit with some friends, to share the pleasure.
T. M.
Excellent fish, great decor. Extremely slow food. (1h 15 for kid, 15 mins more for the rest of us) on a Friday night: pre booked table but that didn't help. They were full, doing takeaways, and looked like they couldn't cope with the volume. Come when it's empty. Food was fantastic.
V. O.
Honestly if I could give 10 stars I would. Broneks is heaven on earth! Freshest seafood place in London, with minute prices. Bronek himself is an A* Head Chef who is personable and has so much knowledge on seafood and how to pair. His small team are simply phenomenal too. So friendly. Love that it is BYOB. Such a chilled and brilliant atmosphere.
T. J.
If there were 6 stars available then Bronek's would get it. Lovely atmosphere. Great tasting food, great fish, good sized portions, friendly, personal service. Good breakfasts too. The best fish restaurant in London in my opinion!
A.
Absolutely fantastic seafood restaurant. Northfields Avenue is really turning into a culinary hotspot! The fish here is all fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. It's not super cheap (£18 for a bbq Swordfish steak with sides) but the portions are absolutely huge and I think for the quality you're getting this as cheap as they can make it.
The place has really fun decor and is open-plan when it is warm enough. The staff are really friendly and attentive.
Definitely come here if you have time!
M.
Magical place , is a place with a lot of historic and good food.
With all respect to the Mr Bronek for many years work , and tasty food, excellent knowledge about fish and seafood.
k. t.
We just had a lovely meal. I had sea bream with rice and great salad and my partner fish and chips. Both excellent. It may look like a cafe but the food is far beyond this. Take your own booze and enjoy.
A. O.
Very good and affordable food in friendly atmosphere. The owner with same name proves very flexible and will cook anything. I recommend any of their fish breakfast. The portions are also rather sizeable. A paradise for fish lovers!
M. L.
This is THE BEST restaurant in the whole of the Ealing area. The best fish served the best way by the best people. Bronek and his team of talented chef's give you the ultimate in pescatarian pleasure. Honestly priced, beautifully cooked and served with love and affection. Best dish to try... All of them!!
N. A. E.
Good quality and freshly prepared and tastes great
R. m.
Great fish and chips and service. Thank you for a great experience.
Definitely will come back again for a great takeaway.👍👍
P. Y.
Hands down the best fish restaurant in London. Ask Mr. Bronek for his suggestion of grilled fish and you will not be disappointed. It might look not so fancy, but the food is top class.
r. f.
Great food, I really recommend 5 star from a Greek Client.. I have recommend in friends and everyone have to say the best. :)
K. D.
Very elegant and accessible restaurant. They provide generous portions and for economical rates. We liked the menu a lot and the staff were super attentive and explanatory. Recommended.
O. K.
Incredible.
After all the incredible reviews we put ourselves firmly in the hands of Bronek himself. Fish soup. Served in a beautiful pot, with tonnes of the freshest, softest and tastiest fish. Tuna, salmon, squid, octupus, king prawn.......and fresh crusty bread. We were the last customers in so had the pleasure of chit-chat with Bronek too who explained about his suppliers and his care and passion for ethical fishing and supporting British fish. The price was very low too.
Incredible!
P. H.
Great food and great service. One member of out party is vegetarian - chef prepared delicious custom built meal, while the rest of had some of the most wonderful fish. Really recommended.
G. L.
What an amazing place! Went there with my great company and had a wonderful time before hes holiday. We were confused with our order and chef was very helpfull offering a share plate with absolutely everything! When it arrived our jawes dropped! It was increadable and tasted delicious too.staff was friendly we stayed late didnt feelt rushed.it was a experiance and i highly recommend that place from the bottom of my heart .im writing that from my friend profile.thanks a lot and see you soon. Ania
J. M.
Words won't do this cosy and quirky little restaurant justice. As soon as we entered,Bronek himself came out and after a brief chat, we knew we were in good hands. We ordered what he suggested - sea bass with paprika and sole with hollandaise sauce and prawns, both fish fresh and straight from the counter. The flavours were so complementary, the condiments exciting and unique. Prices beyond reasonable for the quality and potion size, I would call it an absolute bargain. Cannot recommend enough. Go in, sit down and let Bronek do his magic.
M. B.
Small, local, basic germ. Delicious fish & seafood meals.. or breaded pork/chicken with potatoes.. freshly made side salads. Good portions for decent price. Bring your own bottle of wine as allowed by the owner (not sold on side).
Morning breakfast is also served !
S. K.
Amazing food, great service cannot wait to go back 🤗🤗
R. B.
We three ladies had a fabulous plate of grilled, boneless brill with scallops, langoustine, mushrooms and samphire, new potatoes and rosti - the choice was made after careful discussion with Bronek, the owner and chef. It was served with a side dish of a selection of tiny and delicious portions of 6-7 salads.
However, our error was not to have discussed the cost of this before it was so skilfully cooked. Next time we will remember to negotiate the price. However, a very enjoyable evening.
J. C.
Fish was cooked perfectly, the butter sauce overpowered the flavour of the fish
R. M.
Great fish restaurant!! Always busy so do make sure you book. I can highly recommend their fish platters to share!! They're amazing!
J. A.
Cramped restaurant, not sure how they cope with social distancing, but it wasn't too busy when I was there. Good selection of fish and live lobsters. Food is excellent.
W. B.
I've lived in this area for nearly six years now and always assumed this place was a 'wet fish' place only. On further inspection however it is in fact an excellent cafe, specialising in both Polish and 'fish shop' type options. This was the best Cod & Chips I have had in London and super value. My wife had Polish food and was very happy with her perogis and side dishes. We both came away thinking we had uncovered a hidden gem.
S.
Lovely atmosphere. Generous portions, and fantastic fresh fish cooked expertly. Totally recommend, and the fish comes directly from my granny's village in Cornwall!
R. A.
Seriously so good here. My full review is on Eaten app and a bit on Instagram. I cant be bothered writing it all again but seriously everyone should go here, brilliant fish. Had octopus Greek style 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
B. R.
Extremely friendly and helpful owner - he tailored the (delicious) Provençal fish stew to suit my friend's taste. Will go back soon for the seafood platter :)
A. S.
Amazing food, is a must visit for fish lovers. Ordered the platter and scallops with a Great cajun taste. Amazing portion/vfm. Will go again
m. k.
Amazing hospitality & incredibly fresh & amazing seafood. Will become repeater!
L. B.
Honestly the best fish restaurant in this part of London. And the head chef is so amenable, great with suggestions and the master of a cheesy joke to boot. Great evening out.
L. S.
Fabulous haddock & chips, also lots more unusual dishes on the menu.
P. L.
My favourite dish is the basic cod, chips and mushy peas. Today I tried the haddock, and experienced haddock-heaven! Bronek runs a tight ship, hauling the best fish.
H. B.
Great fresh fish and friendly welcoming service. Just ask chef and he'll always knock up a mixed special for you. And you can bring your own wine too !!
R. F.
Great fresh fish is served here. The owner and very welcoming. On the downside its open plan and noise of the traffic can be off putting.
A. M.
It's a bring your own restaurant with limited seating and a bit of pot luck as to getting a table. The food however is amazing and portions are extremely generous for a very good price. A bit cramped when it's busy, but well worth a visit!!!
n. 4.
absolutely fantastic fish, great service, and amazing decor, my cod was delicious, with peas and potatoes...
I. C.
The best fish and chips in UK!
Great place,Great food ,Great experience !
Easy going place and great value for money .
The owner is an honest ,passionate man ensuring that everyone is happy .
Highly recommended !
N. B.
Went in out of curiosity. Good guy behind the counter was totally OK with my ignorance of Polish food and ended up taking home a tenners worth of various hams, the kind I'd never heard of before. Good value, I recommend every local try it out. Just point at anything behind the counter and he'll tell you all about it, smoked, peppered etc.
N. A.
The best seafood I've had in Ealing, very fresh and delicious, the mussels were to die for, service very good, very friendly young waiter and the chef was wonderful, I can't wait to go back and take some of my seafood lovers friends there👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
R. L.
Top stuff here! Excellent brekkies and superb range of fish dishes in the evening. Try Broneks home made traditional polish dishes too..you wont be disappointed!
D. M.
'Best fish n chips in Ealing' the man said and he may well be right. The cod was thick and cooked to perfection. The chips were crispy and the peas.. were peas. I don't eat in Ealing that much but this cod n chips was up there with the best I've had anywhere.
C. H.
All the fish here is first class and cooked to perfection. The mixed seafood grill is a very special fish lovers treat at a very affordable price.

R. H.
Small but very nice restaurant
S. C.
Good value. Great interior
g.
Great food and so friendly
S. D.
A mixed set of experiences - overall this place needs to improve the quality of its cleanliness and its wait staff
Our first time was really good, we all enjoyed our mains, especially the BBQ Swordfish, and service was quick and cheerful
Came back a few weeks later and the dishes didn't come out quite as we expected, the Swordfish had an undercooked looking red and pink hue through the filet, the wait staff was apathetic and cleanliness was distinctly lacking
If they can make these few improvements it could be a much better restaurant
K. J.
I just enjoyed the best Cod and chips ever, my partner had the Turbot which was in his words “F@xking superb”
This place is amazing everytime!
J. A.
They got my breakfast order slightly wrong but they let my friend touch a live lobster which I'm pretty sure made her day. Good, cheap chips too.
M. E. (.
The best seafood in London. Don't order from the menu, just ask the chef

Dining here brought me memories of some Dickensian operas. Dining out in an authentic restaurant is quite of a rare experience. Broneck took care of us and spent some time reccomending best of the catch. The young polish guy that hosted was a pleasure to watch. Nothing like Sarte's definition of a waiter. I love all about the experience and I hope this go become a regular exchange ;)

(Translated) This small restaurant offers both table service (it has just over a dozen for two and four seats) and takeaway service. I prepared, for take-away, a large dish of mixed fish and side dishes for a family dinner. I only used it once, during a few days vacation, but it is enough to confirm that it was a great service and I confirm that it lives up to the reviews I had read previously. The price, as provided, is to be judged honest and fair.
