A favourite from many many years ago during our University days. Helen was a late night favourite after a night out at the clubs. The land shwawarma, the falafel or the spicy potato sandwiches are bang on. Visiting Cafe Helen after ages on Edgware Road, we were not let down. The cafe has expanded into a sit down restaurant but still have the original take out shop. Excellent and value for money Lebanese sandwiches.

And the others are quick pit stop branches as it get quite busy here. Your usual kebab shop settings nothing special. MIXED SHWARMA WRAP This was really good the sauces were nice abit on the garlic side but tasty. The meat let’s start with the lamb full of flavour nicely cooked they use a certain part of the lamb as it has a distinctive taste. The chicken had great flavour to it too. And it was cooked till it was soft. The bread it came wrapped in 10/10 crunchy and soft. After walking down Edgware Road for 10 minutes, stumbled upon this place for tea and baklava. Can’t comment on the baklava as I didn’t have any but my company thought it to be very nice treat to the end of the evening. The mint tea was a mixture of black tea and mint, which should have been announced nevertheless it was still nice. Sat outside of the store front Toilet was atrocious, just a pre warning.

The old cafe Helen used to be a small take away with few seats, the new extension right next to it a proper sit down restaurant. Nice cafe with some good shawarma. The hummus however can improve, and the tabouleh salad missing from the Menu here.

Been there number is times, probably the best shawarma I’ve had. However, the place is tiny, they have couple of seats for eating in, better to say no eat in and take away only. It does get very busy at times. Recommendation? Yes definitely if you want shawarma but don’t expect luxury fine dine, your gonna need to eat in your car or on the walk.

Helens has been around for absolutely ages. They now have 3 branches on Edgeware Road including a dine in restaurant. The take away cafes are tiny and pretty run down but the food is always spot on. Edgware Road hasn't changed in decades, so going here brings about some nostalgia.

We ordered a large Chicken Shawarma, Halloumi and a portion of the Spicy Potatoes. The food was prepared incredibly fast. Potatoes were great and the Halloumi was probably my favorite. The Shawarma was a very generous portion. I found it a little on the messy side and some pieces of chicken were dry. Overall, it’s not bad and definitely worth a try.

Juicy and delicious. I had a mix chicken and lamb shawarma and it was good. We went there after mid night and it was busy but still we got our food on time.

They make the best lamb shawarma ever, be sure to add the potatoes! I always go with my boyfriend to cafe Helen expecially at night, it's always very busy since it's so good, but they are always so fast and efficient!! I would absolutely recommend this place Thank you cafe Helen!

I’m always hunting the best shawarma and kafta wherever I travel. I ordered the kafta platter with rice - so happy I did!! I’m sure all the shawarma and wraps are great too. The service was nice, they were busy but still managed to be attentive to my requests. Try with the garlic sauce and hot sauce - yummy!!

It used to be my favourite. I tried the new place yesterday where you can sit and eat instead of taking a wrap and go. The food quality was disappointing. I liked the Fattoush though I only come here for the Shawarma. I didn't see any quality control or onsite management of the place so it is chaotic. Hopefully management will read this and review the current status.

Ordered non-chilli, got chilli. Asked what fresh juice they had, they said Mango was fresh, I'm pretty sure it's mango pulp. Good thing is, it seems to be open late night. Prices are ok for central London. Any more and I would put a 2*.

The person who served us was very polite and hospitable throughout, told us his name was Mahmood and he brought us several sauces and made sure everything was ok - the chilli and garlic dip was our favourite, it really transformed the meal and the kafteh was also throughly enjoyable served with rice or chips and plenty of salad. One of my Best Shawarma. When ever i visit hide park, oxford street or Marbel Arch must visit there. You must try Chicken Shawarma spicy one. I am sure you will fall in Love like me. Also treat yourself when ever visit there. Staff really good and impress from their services. Other wise when ever you visit busy palace they just do not bother. Hands down the best Shawarma I have ever had and I have tried them all over the world from Shawerma Reen in Jordan to other hole in the walls in Turkey, Athens, Iran, etc... this place does it right. The place is clean, meat quality is good and the food tastes amazing. Simple menu. I recommend trying all three choices. Beef, chicken and definitely try the beef and chicken combo. If you like spicy ask for extra spicy (it’s not too spicy). My only complaint is the place doesn’t open until 4 pm.

Eaten here many times. Probably the best shawarma wrap in London. It isn’t the biggest shawarma wrap, but definitely one of the tastiest around. A very popular place, so much so they have opened another branch just a few doors down from the original place. The staff are more focused on speedily serving a long queue of customers rather than a cheerful service, so don’t expect a huge smile or happy hello. As the customer service isn’t top class in terms of friendliness, I’ve given 4 stars rather than 5.

Better than any shawarma or falafel sandwich you’ve had before and open until 5am. The only negative is the system of ordering and picking up food hence the 1 star deduction. Once you order, they ask that you wait inside to collect your food. However this means you’re standing shoulder-to-shoulder when we shouldn’t be, especially at this time. I’m glad everything is reopening, but it’s important we still think responsibly so we’re not restricted again.

One of the best Sharwarma wraps you will ever have. I recommend the standard size Lamb Sharwarma, it’s a decent size (£6), and is really really juicy. If you feeling really hungry, then try the Large one (£11), Staff are nice and restaurant is clean.

Very nice Arabian food, in Edgware road in central London, I tried different dishes and all were good, quantity is more than enough, in evening people gather outside and smoke shisha, I mostly found and old musician who played Arabic music in evening only. The shawarma’s here are excellent. Everything served is fresh, meat is succulent and the flat bread is soft, unlike some other places which serve you very tough meat in a tortilla wrap and pass it off as a “sharwarma”. This is the real deal. I highly recommend the lamb and chicken mix sharwarma if you visit.

An authentic Lebanese Shawarma in the heart of Londons Arabic food quarter. Ive eaten at most of Beirut's legendary kitchens and this in London is hard to beat. The Lamb is my favourite wrap, good portions of succulent meat topped with authentic salad, pickles, and home made sauces. Be aware you will find yourself going back in for more. Fair prices and open till very late. Enjoy!

The only star missing is because this place is slightly on the higher side. But the food quality is amazing. There is no seating arrangement but you don’t need it if you are out and about.
