I'm not Indian, so maybe I don't know, but this was one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. I've eaten Indian all around the world. The nan was incredible; definitely made fresh. My kids loved their chicken dishes and the lamb was tender and flavorful. Our waiters were fine, not sure about all the reviews saying it was not good. I thought the prices were fair for London. The restaurant is not in central London where all the tourists are, but was close to our hotel (ten minute walk).

The service were brilliant; the waiting staff gave us a very warm welcome and were very good at judging what we needed. For example, one of my friends took ages to decide what to order but this was fine and we were given the space to relax over a few drinks first. The food was lovely, especially the paneer curry;

Have yet again had our work Christmas meal here, we don't usually visit the same venue but our meal last year was so delicious and the great service brought us back in 2018. We wanted a late lunch around 14:30, as most Indian restaurants close around 2 or don't open until 17:00 we was struggling finding a restaurant. Café Ishaq kindly opened especially for us, the food and service was outstanding. The prices are very reasonable for its location and they have a good wine selection. Can't wait for our next visit.

So good! The staff was wonderful and the food excellent, with all around great service. Naan was especially delicious and the whole family loved the chicken tikka. Hope to visit again!We were staying in Lambeth North and went based on suggestions by our hotel concierge. We were craving for Indian food and we asked for the nearest where to enjoy it being very tired and cold from day of touring.

We were grateful that the restaurant was close to our hotel, and the food was good, but the service was a little lacking. To be fair, it did seem like the restaurant was a little understaffed, but that also seemed exacerbated by the fact they had many to go orders to attend to, rather than the guests at the actual restaurant. They should figure out a better system, I think. Still worth checking out, though.

I came across this modest looking restaurant while staying at a near by hotel and decided to give it a go as I fancied a curry and chose this place based on the mostly positive reviews online and I was not dissaponited.... the service was friendly and attentive and the meal was splendid; main with rice, a starter and side for £11.99 per person is a bargain! The food portions were generous and tasty can not recommend enough! My only complaint would be that at busy times it can feel a little cramped as the tables are pretty close together... will visit again next time I find myself in Lambeth!

The food was merely okay for what it cost. I'm not too familiar with the area, but you can almost certainly find better and cheaper Indian food nearby. I think the owners figured they could spread white tablecloths and charge a few pounds more under the guise of a fancy restaurant, but the place is terribly average at best.

Well...this place is right across the street form the hotel, already gets almost 5 yelp stars, and the hotel staff recommends it (I hope they get some sort of commission) . Got the Tortelloni and a side of broccoli. Tortelloni are much larger than Tortellini. This place charges more than £4 for bread! First Italian restaurant I've ever been to, that charges for bread.

Living in the area I have been to Ishaq about 3 times now. The quality of food is really great, in particular the Jalfrezi options are personal favorites. The staff are always a good laugh and very welcoming. The prices are also very agreeable, which helps!

Well I went in thinking authentic Indian food. While they have whole list of non veg food, there are limited options for veg. I ordered a paneer chilli masala. It was neither Chinese nor Indian. Staff was courteous. While paneer chilli masala turned out to be ultra spicy, they offered water and coconut to help me feel better. And while I would like to give a 3 on food, I will add one for courteous staff.

In my opinion, Cafe Ishaq is by far the best restaurant I've visted; it has everything you need in a restaurant. Excellent customer service, polite staff, delicious food and very good scenery (perfect for couples and families) and also child friendly. It is also a 2 minute walk from Westminster Bridge and House of Parliament. They also serve alcohol, hot drinks and also do deliveries on UberEats/JustEat/Deliveroo. I've gone on about this restaurant but I'd strongly suggest you visit it as soon as you can!

(Translated) I do not quite know what to think of this store ... Anyway, I arrived relatively soon after the opening and I was offered a place relatively quickly. It then went on for a few minutes, during which I only had the drinks menu for my studies. At some point, one of the waiters reappeared, telling me to have the evening special for 11.45 GPB. So I wanted to explain that the offer contained a starter and a protein-rich component as main course, a fiber-rich component as a first side dish and just a rice dish or bread (Naan) as a second side dish to have enough carbohydrates - simple as that. As far as the waiter did not come, because in the middle of the text he disappeared and had to first instruct other guests - I saw him then no longer. It took a good ten minutes until his colleague appeared at my table to pick up the drinks. I pointed out that I had already ordered a drink from his colleague - to avoid a double delivery - and was just at the main course. Somehow it was then possible to order the food. Although I have explicitly said that the food may actually be spicy, but then it was unfortunately nothing - because you can go quite well to Subway, if you want it just as sharp. The appetizer came quite soon and tasted very good; as well as the main course, which has been served in three separate bowls. I would like to offer here, that the saffron rice could be on its own and no further components needed. The size of the portion and the finesse were impeccable. But then I sat there after I had eaten ... I sat and sat and sat. Then I discreetly put my credit card on the table and continued to sit. Actually, there was enough time to offer me another drink or a dessert, but at some point I did not feel like it anymore. That's a pity. (Original) Ich weiß nicht so ganz, was ich von diesem Laden halten soll ... Jedenfalls kam ich relativ kurz nach der Öffnung an und mir wurde relativ schnell ein Platz angeboten. Es vergingen dann noch so einige Minuten, bei der ich lediglich die Getränkekarte zum Studium vorliegen hatte. Irgendwann tauchte dann auch einer der Kellner wieder auf, dem ich erklärte, das Abendbankett (Special Offcer) für 11,45 GPB haben zu wollen. Ich wollte mir also erklären lassen, dass das Angebot eine Vorspeise (Starter) enthielt und dazu je eine proteinlastige Komponente als Hauptspeise, eine ballaststoffreiche Komponente als erste Beilage und eben ein Reisgericht oder Brot (Naan) als zweite Beilage, um auch genug Kohlenhydrate zu haben - simple as that. Soweit kam der Kellner gar nicht, denn mitten im Text verschwand er und musste zunächst weitere Gäste einweisen - gesehen habe ich ihn dann zunächst nicht mehr. Es vergingen dann gut zehn Minuten, bis sein Kollege an meinem Tisch erschien, um die Getränkebestellungen aufzunehmen. Ich wies darauf hin, dass ich bereits bei seinem Kollegen ein Getränk bestellt hätte - um eine doppelte Lieferung zu vermeiden - und gerade bei dem Hauptgericht war. Irgendwie war es dann also doch möglich, das Essen zu bestelen. Zwar habe ich explizit gesagt, dass das Essen tatsächlich scharf sein darf, aber daraus wurde dann leider doch nix - da kann man auch durchaus zu Subway gehen, wenn man es genau so scharf haben will. Die Vorspeise kam recht bald und schmeckte sehr gut; ebenso das Hauptgericht, das in drei separaten Schalen angerichtet worden ist. Ich möchte hier boten, dass der Safranreis für sich alleine schon stehen könnte und keiner weiteren Komponenten benötigt. Die Größe der Portion und die Finesse waren tadellos. Aber so saß ich dann da, nachdem ich aufgessen hatte ... ich saß und saß und saß. Dann legte ich dezent meine Kreditkarte auf den Tisch und saß weiterhin. Eigentlich war genug Zeit, mir ein weiteres Getränk oder einen Nachtisch anzubieten, aber irgendwann hatte ich dazu auch keine Lust mehr. Schade eigentlich.
