Reviews of Café Rouge - St Katharine Docks
K. M.
Great location and views, we popped in here after a Thames boat tour for lunch.
The kids burgers - the buns were toasted and hard. Really need to have been a soft bun.
Chicken dish, great portion (also overdone)
Service was good apart from took a while to get our desserts after we had ordered it.
Friendly Staff and attentive
A. L.
I’ve come across Café Rouge totally by chance as it was very close to my hotel.
I had a vegan breakfast & and an Oat Cappuccino and both were pretty good. Prices are perhaps even below average compared to other similar places nearby.
Having said that, the service was very slow and poorly organized, and it got worse as the coffee shop got busier.
Positive experience overall but they certainly need to work on improving the attentiveness & speed of service.
P. H.
Not quite what we'd hoped for on our evening out. I've always been A Cafe Rouge fan but this wasn't a great example of the chain. The service wasn't as friendly as expected, the calamari was overcooked, the pate had insufficient (Mothers Pride style) today and the salad was somewhat miserable. The food news is that the steak was excellent.

I have been dined in Cafe Rouge many times in the past but I choose the restaurant in St Katharine's docks. Busy restaurant during dinner time, only 2 staffs are working tonight for table servicing includes check bill and 1 bar staff, expecting a little waiting time for foods. Service is good, friendly staffs, foods are yummy, drinks menu a little expensive. Overall I had a great time dining tonight!
A. W.
Food was all around good with decent portion sizes, particularly for the steak sandwich. They were training new staff the evening we were in so there were some mistakes with our order however they were quickly corrected. Staff were very friendly. I really enjoyed the Stella Cidre which I had never had before.
T. S.
Great food and lovely staff! Absolutely loved the idea of sugar syrup for the iced coffee :)
J. B.
Good atmosphere, a bit noisy because of the hard floors so if it's busy you might find it hard to talk. Food very reasonably priced and good value. Only grumble is they mixed our steaks up as my partner is gluten and dairy free so we couldn't swap and had a train to catch. Waitress was brilliant too
T. T.
A good restaurant near the Tower Bridge and Tower of London. I enjoyed the veg options, food arrived quickly, drinks were great. Will be back!
K. K.
I stopped here on a Sunday evening and took advantage of the set menu offer. The food was tasty. However, it appeared there weren't enough staff (maybe COVID related) and we often had to wait for service between courses. At the end, they offered a welcomed discount to apologise for the time we waited, but this again was a challenge for the staff to get the till to compute it correctly and needed to bring us the bill 3 times.
K. C.
Lovely little place to have a bite to eat. Great location. Staff friendly and helpful.
J. L.
Great location, nice food and the staff were friendly! It has a French theme feel good factor!
A. G.
Went here for dinner with 4 children (two teenagers and two 10 year olds) I had Tesco vouchers which I let the waiter know about before ordering and he explained which menu I would have to order from, no problem. The younger kids were offered colouring activities whilst we waited for our food to arrive. I can’t comment much on the food as I only ordered Onion soup for myself but the children’s meals seemed to be good value. What I do remember from that night was that our waiter (a friendly older man) was lovely and made our evening that little bit more special.

Been several times as such a lovely place, friendly staff, great food & great prices
K. O.
Had such a wonderful time at this restaurant on Christmas Day. The service was friendly and outstanding, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend it for an affordable, pleasurable and stress free family Christmas dinner. Thank you to all the amazing staff who gave up their time on Christmas Day to provide such a lovely experience.
A.
Foos is excellent. Had omelette, Cesar salad, salmon 🍣 which were absolutely delicious.
Staff were not friendly enough, speaks very loud and offending style. Great location.
D. L.
Service took a lot of time so would not recommend if you are on a timed break. We had to ask the staff about status of each course.. food was ok, hit and miss.. some items were good but some were ok. Google location not accurate it's actually in line with and adjacent to Slug and Lettuce and Strada (St. Katherine's Way, Commodity Quay)
P. J.
Came here a few times recently for breakfast.
Very tasty and well presented by the excellent wait staff.
Prices very reasonable too for central London, will make sure I go back when I return to London
D. W.
Really good food, good value and friendly staff. The 5oz minute steak with fries went down really well.
D. K.
Very good food, nice location. Service could have been a bit more enthusiastic.
C. L.
I had a full English breakfast here this morning. It was reasonable for the price. The staff are very friendly and the service is very warm. The thing I love about this place is the very relaxing and warm atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place
A. M.
Amazing food and lovely staff not to mention a nice view of the docks if you stay at the windows or outside. I highly recommend the mussels and the breaded whitebait
V. J.
Been here for my birthday celebrations and the food was very tasty and very well presented. Staff are amazing, and was offered a bottle of Prosecco for my bday, very thoughtful! Will come back for sure!
C. B.
Loved the meal, staff were great, service fantastic
O. N.
Amazing restaurant with great service!!!
Beef Bourguignon was one of the best beef dishes I've ever eaten.
Salmon was alright but nothing special.
BREADED CAMEMBERT was really good 👍
Beef Bourguignon Burger wasn't good. It was overcooked (dry & burnt).
T. P.
great service, fast food made perfect Sara's service very attentive
P. N.
Amazing experience! We ordered a Burger that was delicious and it was very well served. But the best of all was the warming greeting and attention of the lovely waitress Sarah! She really made our time special! Thank you
B. V.
Found via Google Maps. Sadly several of the items on the menu were not available. Food was otherwise good, service a tad slow, but not terrible.
S. W.
Great setting in the heart of London but busy with office Christmas parties, so our order was slightly muddled. Not enough to complain and anyway, we had a great discount voucher code!
K. G.
Set at the side of the dock . A little haven from the hassle and bustle of London. Food was really delicious and the staff are helpful and friendly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.
M. D.
Unfortunately, the standard of cafe rouge has gone down over the years. The menu hasn't changed in at least 4 years. The onion soup was unavailable again. The garlic mushrooms were served on a stone cold plate so the food quickly became cold too. The vegetables were so undercooked we could barely put our forks through them. Potatoes were nice and so was the salmon and beef bourguignon. The shared desserts portion were too small for sharing. Although very friendly, the waitress had trouble understanding us and got our order wrong. The creme brulée tart was cold. Sadly we will no longer return.
M. G.
Pleasantly surprised with this place— super friendly staff and delicious food! Also they were happy with babies and interacted so well with them!
High Chairs? Yes!
Push Chairs? Yes but not a ton of space indoors, probably fine if you eat outside :D
M. R.
The location of this restaurant is the best thing it has. It's located in a small harbour, very beautiful and quiet. You can see it while you eat, since the restaurant has big glass walls/windows and also tables outside. It is decorated like a Parisian café. The food is not bad, but not the best I've tried, average (which doesn't mean bad). Eggs Benedictine for brunch were good. I had a crêpe another day for lunch and it was fine but not what I expected. The service is slow.
F. D. B.
Very friendly and approachable staff, good food and drinks although slightly overpriced (the lunch menu is ok). If the day is good you get a lovely view over St. Katherine's docks and the terrace has heaters so it's ok even during winter!
E. L.
Excellent food and service. Our waitress Lale was very nice and helpful
R. S.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening meal in a beautifully French environment and ambiance. Outstanding customer service delivered by Daniel and Chris who were both attentive and knowledgeable.
D. D.
Had the Leffe beer battered fish with frites. It was a delicious meal that was full of flavor. Atmosphere was pleasant and sophisticated. Good service too.
D. T.
I came back here after nearly an year, even due the coronavirus restrictions, my experience was great. Our waiter Krzysztof, along with other waiters made sure we enjoyed every moment in here.
A. O.
Lovely location, staff and food. If you want to sit by the window with the amazing view of the St Katherine's Dock book a table, it's alway busy here! And try the brioche and butter pudding, it's small but every bite is heaven
J. B.
Nice food, order was adjusted due to no stock without consulting us, a little chaotic, probably just under staffed. I would still go again, the view is amazing
C. L.
Great venue overlooking the docks, outdoor and indoor seating. Welcoming staff, very aware of food allergies and how to cater for them. Delicious afternoon tea available without pre-booking, including mini baguette, sausage roll and quiche. A fair price for very nice food, presented well.
C. G.
My family and I have just had the most wonderful breakfast here. It’s always been a favourite of ours, with 5 children (4 of whom are 3 and under), we’ve always been welcomed there and the staff bend over backwards to accommodate us. This is the first time we’ve visited since the pandemic and we’re delighted to see that things haven’t changed. The Manager and Lale who served us were lovely, they took equal care over making sure the children were looked after as they did us adults and we can’t thank them enough. The food was fantastic and service impeccable, we can’t wait to return.
M. C.
Fantastic menu, ideal location for outside dining.
D. P.
We began our birthday celebrations at the right restaurant!
From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
It was such a nice vibe from the beginning. Diosa was very helpful, the way she treated us was exceptional.
Compliments to the Chef, we had pancakes with bacon, it was hot and delicious nothing was too much.
We will be definitely visiting again.
B. S.
We come very often to London and in each visit to London we eat at this restaurant. Last time we had a wonderful breakfast there. Mrs Lale served us , she was very friendly and recommended us just the right things to eat. I am very thankful to her for her kindness. We will obviously come there in our following visits.
L. C.
Great memories at this location, great service and often great food. A definite stop off when visiting London before tackling the south Bank
e. w. o. R.
Pretty good steak frites but nothing special. Also had a nice desert of crepes served with a banoffee twist. All in all it was decent but nothing to write home about. The location is good right down by the marina but you could get a better restaurant within walking distance. Also there's a service charge included which is annoying. I prefer to tip when it's deserved.
S. B.
The service was top notch. Every single member of the team was a delight . Breakfast was great value -very tasty bacon and hash browns in particular . Pot of tea for one gave a couple of lovely cups for £2.50. All excellent whilst sitting with a view of the marina - great way to start the day .
P. U.
Great view and friendly staff. The standard Café Rouge menu but the team help to create a good and relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend!
J. L. S.
Nicely located onto the fantastic Katherine Docks marina. Menu is efficient, and very affordable. Drinks choice is quite limited, but the general vibe of the place is laid back with a real holiday feel to it. Ideal for a friend's catch up or a lazy summer evening staring at the local boats.
H. B.
Food was nice. Slow service, needed more staff.
D. C.
Food was great but the service was somewhat rushed by 1 overkeen waitress tbh. Would've liked to have had the time to relax a bit more after a lot of walking around the Tower etc, but it seemed like under 10mins and we had our mains plates in front of us whilst we hadn't finished our starter nibbles.. the place was only a quarter busy so not even like they needed us in and out.. sorry for the constructive criticism but it had to be said. Enjoyed the meal at a lovely venue. :)
Y. C.
It's ok... If you want some amazing food, you should target other place. This place offer friendly service with nice seating area so good choice to have a coffee break.
N. H.
Outstanding personalized service. Definitely a one of a kind experience. Went here on a Saturday afternoon with my family and had such an amazing experience, I’ll be coming back. The food was excellent and the service was at the same level if not better.
A very pleasant experience. Absolutely recommend this spot.
鍾.
Friendly staff and great food quality
A. H.
Great location and great feel to the place. Delicious mocha and cappucino, fresh raisin bread and an AWESOME croque-portobello with spinach and goat cheese made by Biagio. Highly recommended!
H. R.
Enjoyed a fantastic afternoon tea here for my daughters 30th birthday. The staff were very accommodating and super friendly ensuring we had a good view in outside seating area. Very close to tower bridge and nice and handy for river cruises and uber water taxis. The afternoon tea was lovely plenty for 2 people had to take some cake home and staff put it in a nice box for us. The restaurant overlooks the marina which is a little haven in London but so close to attractions and transport links. Thank you to the staff for making it a lovely 30th birthday.
R. C.
Excellent table staff made up for kitchen deficiencies with one order. Always good that problems are dealt with in a friendly manner. Best moules mariniere I've had outside Belgium. Lots of competition in St Kats, but IMO this is the place to go for good food and value.
A. G.
Nice location but the cocktails were not great
I. C.
Love the food at this place! Love French cuisine! The views outside are beautiful as well. You can sit outside and enjoy the dock’s view or inside and enjoy a warm meal in a cozy restaurant. Really recommend this place if you’re around the area! It’s right next to the Tower Bridge so no excuses!! My favourite dish is the Poulet Breton!
D. R.
Friendly staff, fast service, decent food
T. T.
It was a lovely day out, with very friendly and helpful staff. We went for afternoon tea and some of our were not given an alternative jam for their allergies. Nice selection of drinks and good atmosphere
j. s.
Lovely food. Super wine. Friendly staff. Love this place. 11 out of 10 ❤
S. F.
Came here last night and had sirloin steaks. Chocolate fondants tasted beautiful. They were both cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Priced very reasonably and the location is great. The staff were friendly and accommodating and I look forward to returning.
S. R.
Try the French toast croissant. It's really good. The mocha is pretty nice as well.
i. A.
Nice environment, enjoyed hot chocolate 🍫 nice-friendly staff
B.
Went for Saturday brunch. The food was okay. The service also just okay. We don't really have any complaints, but weren't amazed either. 🤷🏻♀️
A. E.
Lovely meal and very friendly and accommodating staff.
U. Z.
My partner took me here for our anniversary for the afternoon tea selection. Location was beautiful. Staff were friendly but lack attentiveness as we had to get up from our table to ask for our tea. Food came quickly and overall was okay but wish they gave us more option apart from cheese and mushroom or ham and cheese. I don’t eat ham and my partner is allergic to mushrooms. Scones were lush but the cakes were slightly dry.
a. k.
The food isnt mind blowing but great location, good prices, and excellent service.!
Caterina was very kind and helpful, we had a pleasent meal and would happily return :)
J.
Only 3 stars because of the food. Staff were amazing but their food didn’t live up to the standards.
S. B.
Service really stood out here. The staff were wonderful and didn't treat us any differently because we had a Groupon voucher. The food arrived really quickly and was delicious - the tortellini starter is a particular winner. Great location too, with tables outside for people watching. Will certainly be back.
A. M.
Quiet and relaxing cafe rouge that makes you feel like you're not in the centre of London anymore
J.
This cafe rouge is rather nice indeed. The staff were friendly, waited around a bit longer than would have preferred but otherwise pleasant staff. The food is quite good as well. The kids menu is extremely good value and the sausages were of the highest quality. Location is good as well , probably very busy in the summer months.
C. N.
Busy, good value, child friendly, takes cash. Next door (sort of) didn't, so here got my custom with my five friends. I am old fashioned insofar as customer is allegedly King, and whilst the "other" place was quite welcoming, they lost our business mainly due to this. Rouge was better value too!! Healthy breakfast as well, tho unhealthy is also an option! Happy customer (flat white was nice and strong too).
S.
Helpful staff but food can be hit or miss. The beef is great, the risotto not so much.
R. D.
Food is ok, staff very friendly. They add service charge to every bill which is presumptuous.
s. r.
Good service and great French food at St. Katherine dock in London. I had moules Provençal with frites which were good.
M. R.
We waited a bit too long for the table and then the food, tho it was announced. The food was okay but too expensive for what it was. I took a chicken baguette but was disappointed with the bread... for a French restaurant, the could use good French bread, not the industrial kind. The view on the little port was enjoyable. The staff could be more present and nicer.
It's an okay place but too expensive in my opinion.
R. K.
It was getting late and we were hungry having been turned away from other places because it was late or they had private bookings etc. Went in here because we could and because other branches have always been enjoyable. This was too. It was late and there were few other customers and we were last to leave. They still gave us really good attentive service and the food was excellent. I had the moules for.my main.which is always risky in the UK but they were a treat. Tender and juicy with a lovely, creamy sauce. House wine by the glass was served nicely and was perfectly ok. Not flashy or pretentious but nice service and food with a genuine French atmosphere. Recommended.
D. D.
..fantastic, beautiful place, nice view, good food 💖💖💖
N. W.
We went back to our favourite place at St Katherines Dock today and we was not disappointed , service was amazing so friendly and attentive , food was as it always has been delicious. We are so pleased to be going back thank you .
B. B.
Lovely food, great staff
L. C.
Went for breakfast with EOTHO offer. Staff nice and friendly. As to food, the sourdough toast in both the eggs Benedict and the smashed avocado would have needed a saw rather than a knife and the eggs, tiniest I have seen, were overcooked, no runny yolks sadly.
Shame really
D. K.
Sunday lunch time service was very friendly and extremely quick. Food was cooked well and very tasty. Location is perfect with lovely view of the boats I'll never be able to afford - especially if I keep eating here. Set price menus are OK but a la carte is expensive for what it is, (even though it is in line considering where it is!).
S. S. M.
Fantastic experience and great food.. location remains amazing :) enjoyed every bit of it..
S. D.
Went for a lunch here on a Saturday with a big party of 16 people. The staff were all really nice and looked after us well, kept our drinks topped up and all the food (which was all pre-ordered - £25 for three courses) was brought out quickly.
The food itself was hit and miss. Sourdough tartine appeared to just be sliced white bread (pictured). Salmon was decent, but like all the dishes, there was no real effort put into presentation, and everything looked like it had been slopped onto the plate. Three people had the vegetable risotto and had to send it back, including my pig of a brother who eats anything and has never sent back anything. It tasted bizzarely like grass, had a strange consistency and was not at all like a risotto - which you'd think is a hard dish mess up. Our waitress was very nice about it though, and swapped all three for the vegetable wellington with no fuss. That main was nice, but it took 25 minutes to be brought out and there were only two other tables in the restaurant. Brussels sprouts with all the dishes were really soft and mushy.
Staff were lovely, but there just appeared to be very little care and effort put into the food.
N. P.
The location alone is enough to draw us back time and again. The food is always delicious and they're good with kids.
M. W.
Great ambiance loved spending time with my wee friend good meal
A. T.
Very good service, and tasty food.
P. T.
I've been several times and it's never been great. Food is ok, it's a basic chain restaurant so you'd expect that, but the service is always pretty poor and this time the ran out of lots of options including their festive cocktails which was a disappointment. But as most reviews point out, the location is beautiful and makes it worth it.
H. G.
Thank you to the manager and staff for giving us a table today especially as there were so many parties.
We had a very nice lunch. Happy Christmas to you all and a happy and healthy new year.
See you in 2020 kind regards
Hilary and friends.xx
J. M.
Not impressed. Food mediocre at best, and not that competitively priced. Service was reluctant and quite unfriendly. Seated inside - could smell the wafting of smoke from outside as the doors were constantly being opened. They had the cheek to put on a service charge and pressed me into swiping my card before I could even look at the bill to check. Wouldn't rush back.
Z. C.
Had a lovely late Sunday lunch/supper with friends. A beautiful location overlooking the boats in the harbour. The fixed price menu was available all day, and the fish cakes were deliceous. Service was friendly and the right level of attention.
K. i. u.
Very good food, excellent service, we love Sara, she was attentive to our group.
A. S.
Very great french style restaurant and cafe
D. R.
Seemed to be slightly understaffed as it took a good while for our food and drink order to be taken. I had a very nicely presented French onion soup with cheesy croutons smothered with strips of cheese. Several menu items were unavailable, like Poulet Breton, one of our favourites and the cheaper cuts of steak forcing us to have the expensive rib eye.
L. K.
Very friendly staff, food was ok but service was better.
Nice to sit outside looking towards the docks.
J. A.
Good food at an affordable price.
C. B.
Best food I've ever had at a cafe rouge, had the confit duck.. and the view is lovely!
L. O.
We had breakfast at the Cafe Rouge St. Katherine Docks Sunday morning with my wife. We were served by our wonderful server Lale. She was excellent and brought excellent food to us. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny weather. She really made our day. We live in the area and plan to come here often. This restaurant is one of the most lovely places of London. The cook is very fantastic and creative: thanks to him, Ialways taste a lot of different meat. This restaurant is a comfortable place and it is very recommeded because the quality is the best and the prices are low.
C. N.
Busy, but harassed waiting staff very family friendly. Very good value for "tourist" London, was with friends "from the shires" and other food options close by required access to a conveyancing solicitor for a second mortgage. Well worth the properly added service charge, which was optional... Everyone happy.
I. J.
Great place for breakfast, if you're quick enough to get there before they stop serving it!
I. J.
Nice pub, quick breakfast service. One star off as they advertise a breakfast special with a price excluding service charge. I prefer to value the tip as i see fit, or at least know its going to be added on before i order.
P. B.
We live in Luton but always come here when we are in London.I love the place ,love the staff and the food is ok.
The view is great, the place is clean and everytime we had the afternoon tea was wonderful. Also the salmon tastes delish
Will be back soon
K. Z.
We're out of this one, that one, umm that one too. Ohh! And all of those too. Quite annoyed with the amount of items they were out of. Just looks bad from a consumer perspective. They were ofcourse out of the couple of items I would have ordered. The food I did order was tasty so I can't complain too much. Drinks and dessert were also good. Would have been 5 stars if they were out of half the menu.
A. C.
Okish afternoon tea, very good views to the Katherine Docks
J. M.
Underwhelming, but not bad. Service on the slow side, food acceptable but a little pricey. I think it could be much better if it strengthened the bistro vibe on the menu more, focus on more traditional café and bistro dishes, make the beer and wine menu a little more casual, etc.
H. V.
Wow, the service was outstanding and do was the food.
I'd not been to cafe rouge for a very long time and I'd forgotten how good it is.
Thanks Biagio, it was an amazing experience.
P. M.
Visit to London on business, breakfast was great. Excellent, attentive service with a smile from our waitress, hence why for a week in London we had breakfast here every day! Conveniently located for International House.
J. G.
Food was not as good as previous visits, before lock down but pleasant experience anyway.
J. D.
So nice to return to cafe rouge at St katherine's dock. Good service and good food.
C.
The service was good, food hot and cooked to my liking and service as one would expect for this group.
Suggest if more than 4 to pre book for evenings weekends, though some tables available for walk ins.
If you tip then ask for the optional service charge to be taken off the bill.
They add on more than one would expect for service charge as it includes all staff.
R. S.
It's one of this place where you can't really go wrong with the food. Nice comfort French food, reasonably price. Service can be variable and slow sometimes round lunch time. But I'd still recommend the place.
D. R.
Always good, food quick , staff friendly.
E. A.
Nice food, good speed of service and friendly staff
E. S.
Lovely restaurant, great location & staff but lost a star as the steak was very chewy
T. T.
Amazing views great experience
T. L.
What a fabulous experience afternoon tea was … with exceptional service from Yolanta and the quality of the food we would definitely recommend a visit

French cuisine in St Katherine's Dock.
A. B.
Good food,service and price
C. B.
This was place fine. We came by here after the Tower of London. I had the little chorizo sausages and the French onion soup. Both were good but not great. Seemed pretty pricey for the quality. I wouldn't come back.
A. R.
The view on St. Katherine's docks was quite nice, service was okay and the place wasn't too busy on a Monday night. It could be that I'm used to something else in Belgium, but the mussels I had weren't very tasty. The demi-poulet (chicken) was pretty greasy and I also wouldn't recommend it.
R. A.
The food was great. It was quite busy and it took a while to be served. It was slightly discouraging that despite the fact that it was busy and customers were waiting to be served there was a member of staff handing out free food to people passing by!
E. L.
Me & wife had breakfast at this branch for the first time.
It's only walking distance from our place as we were walking along Tower Bridge...
H. C.
Mediocre food. The service was fine. I bought a groupon and that's why I went here. Probably wouldn't return as it was overall just okay and the surrounding area is full of restaurants that aren't much more expensive but the quality is higher.
S. S.
We went for afternoon tea, and hosts were very welcoming and had a very good time.
G. R.
Great location, friendly staff. However, the service is somewhat slow which makes the experience lack in its full potential!
T. T.
The toast was ok, but they gave me a instant coffee as cupuccino. So a toast and a coffe cost around £10. Can not say reasonable?
G. W.
The food was good but service was very slow. Great atmosphere in a nice area of the city.
T. s.
Beautiful service and quality food.
Special thanks to Lale ... Friendly face beautiful sole.
....
Amazing views.
Will definitely come back.

Brilliant when we went during the day (just for drinks) but staff were really inattentive in the evening, felt like a nuisance. However, food was good and drinks were lovely. Highly recommend the gin blumes
A. S.
This must be one of the best located Cafe Rouge restaurants in London. Nestled in St. Katherine Dock’s (the end closest to Tower Bridge), you can sit outside and gawp at the gorgeous flats. And, as I discovered on my last visit, you don’t even have to stay for dinner. Drink reasonably-priced wine and order lots of bread with cheese if you want. It’s a really nice way to spend an evening, and when I was there, it didn’t seem to get too busy.
S. D.
Good food, friendly staff. Only downside is had to wait a long time to pay but other than that usual good Cafe Rouge service
K. D.
Attentive staff, lovely meal!
i. c.
Great location over looking the docks. In summer it is a great place to while a way a lunch time...get a client along so you can take your time on "business"!!! French cuisine well done at good prices.
J. S.
Popped in as we were walking around and had a lovely lunch. I had the omelette which was quite delicious. The young man that waited on us we fun and personable.
S. J.
We discovered this place after visiting the Tower of London and were delighted with the excellent food and service. (Try the onion soup) A special thanks to our server, Franceseo D'Angelo and others who took good care of us on a rainy day. We would definitely recommend Cafe Rouge at the waterfront at St Katharine Docks.
A. A.
Very good food and great service. Waitress even saw I had my dog with me and bought him a bowl of water without even being asked. Definately will return!
E. F.
A bit too overpriced for value
S. F.
Food was great and the staff were so helpful and friendly.
L. W.
Great view over a very nice marina. Such a sereen, beautiful spot close to the busy London centre. The staff could've been more aware of their guests.
E. J.
Rang to book a last minute table for 9 people and they sorted it immediately. Food was great. We went for breakfast and it is very affordable!
A. P.
Decently priced cafe for breakfast near the Tower of London
m.
Great service, amazing quality of food. The tart tatin in particular was excellent! The views were nice too in St' Katherine's docks!
M. W.
Seemed to have too few waiting staff for the amount of customers present, and ended up waiting quite a bit for every step of the order. The food itself was decent.
P. B.
Good food. Their chicken burger is great
m. h.
excellent .service was sensational. The waitress were superb friendly and polite .The croque monsiour was one of the best I ever tasted and scones were so much softer and tender .Highly recommend and I rarely give 5 stars
S. L.
Love this place. The staff are friendly. The food is good. Never rushed. Great location
M. P.
Very good. Food was excellent. Nice location overlooking the marina. Staff friendly, good ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
A. Y.
Love this Cafe Rouge. There is something different about this one that sets it apart. Of course the location helps and the food is nice. Maybe it is the always engaging staff?
Z. P.
The food was tasty, atmosphere lively and the staff were friendly
L. C.
Manageress was attentive and friendly. Would have been a little better if waiting staff understood english... nice view, food nice..
A. B.
Great place to eat staff very friendly
R. F.
Very good service, nice staff, good quality food... very good view and atmosphere 👍👍👍 thank you Lale :), you’re great 😊
T. O.
Both the main course - Bistro salad with chicken - and dessert I wanted weren't available. I could have had any other salad with chicken, but for some reason I couldn't have chicken with the salad I chose. Total lack of flexibility.
J. A.
Had a lovely lunch here. Great location, excellent food, staff very welcoming and friendly and I was able to use my taste card
K. C.
Nice location, had to wait a while for the food whiche looked as if it had come out of the microwave as it had that 'skin' that was formed over the top of the potatoe and mushy peas, peacan tart was lush though and staff very friendly
D. L.
Good food. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Lovely views.
J. G.
Good food at a good price. Staff friendly and helpful and didn't rush us at all. Not all toilets functional at the time of our visit
J. P.
Enjoyed a break from traditional pub food with a confit and salmon. Perfectly prepared, fair price, good service and location. Glad we stopped.
K. R.
Was served by Brandon and the service was amazing. Lovely service and lovely food. Thanks Brandon!

Delicious English Breakfast and Eggs Benedict! :) Very friendly staff :)

Ok, but having made a booking, they couldn't find it. Lucky they had room for us anyway.
G. S. S.
Reasonably good breakfast experience except the pancakes.
K. K.
Lovely food, great views, helpful staff. Consistently, cafe rouge branches never disappoint.
A. T.
The food was tasty & reasonable. Beautiful location.
F. S.
Great place for breakfast. Food was good with a good view but the best thing was the hot chocolate, one of the best I've had in a long time
J. B.
Amazing place for an English Breakfast (even if it's a French restaurant...). Try the eggs with mushrooms and truffles! Nice terrace on the docks and friendly service.
R. F.
Nice mussels a la mariniere. Delicious G&T, really nicely presented. The outside tables are in a suntrap, so perfect for a quiet lunch overlooking the Dock
J. H.
Very nice staff and brilliant food, the food took slightly longer than expected but the quality makes up for that!
G. N.
Very nice France restaurant
L. M.
Great service, seating outside overlooking the docks was great also.

Nice place to sit and watch the world go by. Good food and service, was able to have a nice quick lunch and continue with my day.
J. N.
Very lovely meal and cocktails, and great value. Decent wine selection, nice location on the marina, and wonderful service
J. &. T. A.
Great food, but the offer of bread, olives and water that we gratefully accepted came with a hefty price tag, so buyer beware!
a. j.
Service was a bit disorganised today. Not sure if staff knew who should be doing what. Also surprised that male staff put the iPad in the back of their trousers.
S. H.
Decent food and friendly staff. Well priced set menu. Will go again 😁
B. S.
Great restaurant, wasn't busy when we've been, and the service is excellent.
M. F.
Lovely place just by the dock. Friendly Service, Covid Safe and great food. Loving the eggs Benedict.

This is a great spot to go for afternoon tea or evening dinner. Ambient setting by the docks near Tower Bridge with friendly staff and a fantastic menu.
A. W.
Food ok but would like to see hotter plates. So many offers don't eat there without using one.
G. R.
Better than I expected. Being a big chain I was a bit sceptical but coffee was decent and the waiters were friendly and polite.
B. H.

L. T.
We love this Cafe Rouge - the staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we've only had great experiences here.
B. B.
Considering the price (not expensive), good service and location. Starters where good, one of the mains was a bit overcooked (think they left it too long in the kitchen)
s. d.
I recommend the duck leg ... I can say the desserts are successful. very friendly and concerned friends running. would definately recommend. a gourmet restaurant.
D. B.

K. B.
Attentive staff that were very kind to my 9 year old nephew. Quick service and good food as always.

T. S.
The olives just weren't good enough. Had all the same dishes as in other café Rouge's but this one just seemed to not be as good. Smaller and not as good quality dishes.
L. M.
They brought us the wrong dish, but it was wonderful. Best food I never ordered!
