Reviews of Cafe TPT
H.
Hong Kong styled authentic Street food. In contrary to some reviews, I thought the staff were friendly and efficient. I would recommend their signature dish baked rice with pork chop Portuguese style. The Aubergine with Japanese Tofu hot pot, ice red bean drink and Tofu fa with mango snd sago were very good too. Overall a good experience.

After getting western cuisine for a couple of days, my husband and I were craving for Asian dishes. There was a line by the entrance of Cafe TPT when we visited Chinatown and the owner looked really hospitable, so we decided to give it a try.
The options on the menu were in a great variety and we had a difficult time making up our minds. We had Pork Slices with Salted Eggs & Mustard Green Soup, Curry Mixed Veggies Pot and Baked Pork Chop Fried Rice in Macau Style to share with a group of two.
The food was decent, especially the pot, which was flavorful and appetizing with plenty of ingredients. However, the fried rice wasn’t our type and the sauce was too thin since we prefer creamy & rich sauce.
M. K.
One of the best places to eat in London - Chinatown; my favourite place. Exquisite food taste and the service was quite good.
P. B.
Fantastic little Chinese cafe with a huge menu
Spicy wonton and noodles were good but favourite dish was the crispy pork and tofu spicy hot pot
Staff friendly, full bar available and open late.
Perfect place for some food at the end of a night out
A. H.
The place is very small and crowded, but food was surprisingly good.
We have tried 5 dishes and some dessert, all of them are above average.
Also, this place is opened until 1am, therefore if you want to find some place to eat after theater, Café TPT is a decent option.
Must try:
Curry Laksa, a huge bowl of noodles and seafood and fish balls, should be able to make you feel better in cold weather.
Aubergine pot, suitable for vegetarians, full of flavours, perfect match with rice.
Desserts, sweet beancurd with Mango and grapefruit is my favorite, but others are good too.
Price is about £20~25 per person.
⚠️Not suitable for large groups.

The food is only okay level, I like the dessert than the food here. The store is small but clean, you don’t have to wait too long before sitting down. The famous dish, 葡汁焗猪扒饭 ( Baked pork chop fried rice in Macau style) is big enough for two people ( two girls) but the sauce taste like a combination of flour and butter (I am not sure if there is cheese in the dish) ; 车仔牛杂锅 is better but the dish is not really delicate. It is hot and salty enough but also tastes a bit sweet ( not ‘Umami’) Remember to ask for some chili oil from the staff.
As for the desert, 椰奶黑米西米芒果露 ( Coconut & Mango with Sago) is something I would recommend. It is an unique dish that cannot be easily reached in the city. Really refreshing and creative, not too sweet. A good mix of the sweetness of coconut milk and the aroma of fruit. I give one star for this dish. Considering the price you pay, it is just an okay place to go.
L.
Love TPT, but it always has long queue
The rice is my must try recommendation
All desserts are good, but this particular one is my favourite
The staff are not so friendly and rush us (make us feel so) to eat and pay
A. M.
The food is generally okay in my opinion. They open until late though, so if you are around chinatown and need food until late, you should get this. The price is okay too but i love the tofu dessert so much. If you like tofu hua then you should come here to get it. Recommended for the dessert and the food to come for cheap and convenient chinese food. I would come back for the dessert again.
J. T.
Wow! You really have to try this place🤩 Every dish was delicious and the staff was very kind! Try their soft shell crab, laksa and mango dessert, you will love it!
W. B.
Dining in here few years ago during my Miss first UK visit and the food tastes not bad!
N. N.
Clean, authentic cafe, very friendly staff, all wearing masks, the cafe was clean throughout, very clean menu's. The food was tasty, we ate with two children, the server was knowledgeable on portions for the children, our drinks were served with ice and a glass offered for the beer. The noodles and beef were especially nice. Very reasonably priced. We will return
L. L. L.
I been to cafe TPT several times, I really enjoyed their foods, they served delicious Asian foods. There are quite a few of my favourite dishes, recently I had ordered wat tan hor (stir fry seafood flat noodle) , pork stomach black pepper soup super yummy, poached clams in spicy wine broth also very tasty. It's a cozy restaurant they have ground floor and upper floor seating, separate male/ female washrooms , friendly staff, price charged without service charge, the foods and the people deserved to get tip! Highly recommended to try their foods suggested photos hanging on the both sides walls. You would love it ;-)

Great duck and triple roast. Okay wonton soup with noodles. It is small and very warm. The staff are friendly but some can be very frantic when you see them work. However, the only downside is the portion and the extortionate price. Overall good quality but to justify the price, the portion needs to increase even by just 10%.
R. G.
Fantastic authentic cuisine, open late almost feel like your in Hong Kong. Recommend the Pork Belly, and Char Sui.
K. L.
Cafe TPT is great! We have had a couple of family meals there, and I think this will become a tradition. The food is excellent-- well prepared, with every dish having its own identity. A few things so far that I have found to be extra nice are the fried tofu, the soft- shell crab with chilli, and the mango and grapefruit tofu desert, which is divine! Try it! Best of all, in this small and very busy restaurant, where you might expect to find harried staff, everyone is very helpful, friendly, attentive, efficient and kind. Impressive. Great service!
A.
Absolutely delicious food!! The service is fast and very friendly staff😊
D. B.
Really good value for money, delicious and great service. Set menu portions were very generous.
J. J.
Looks like newly renovated or opened the restaurant. The restaurant environment is presentable. I don’t like the sauce of the roast duck. Dry fried beef rice noodles was missing yellow chives. The steamed fish was good but not impressive. The waiter didn’t ask me whether we wanted all dishes bring on the table together. He decided that he wanted to bring all dishes on together. So we waited a longer time. I think he should asked when he took order. We rather him brought dish whenever it is ready.
B. M.
The best real fruit juice bubble teas! From my favourite Honeydew melon, to pineapple and coconut! Delicious!
M. F.
Best roast duck in soho
Best chaw sow pork.
Not as nicely decorated like some of the other restaurants but if you want real authentic Cantonese style of cooking then try this place.
E. S.
Amazing little place. Really friendly staff. Best duck in the whole of London.
K. D.
We were able to walk straight in and get a table even though it was busy. Food was absolutely delicious! Lemon iced tea and my Singapore supreme rice noodles really brought me back to my travels. Swift helpful service.
Q. L.
Great service...food is hot and cha siu was the best to ever had... Even compared to Hong Kong. Must try!!!
A. J.
I like alot that this place is open so late, it was really cool to come in at like 10:30 and there were loads of people. the food didn't blow my mind but we were really full and it tasted great.
H. L.
Very average, can definitely get tastier food in China town or better value elsewhere in London. The quality of the basic fried rice is the give away...that said duck pancakes were pretty solid
J. L.
The Macau-style pork chop is balanced and delicious, and big enough to share.
D. O.
Great food. It's almost always super busy, so there can be a queue for a table. Once you have a table and have ordered the food comes very quickly.
We went with a good of five, got a huge circular table and had a nice chat over dinner.
A. E.
Not the most welcoming of entrances however persevere as The food is amazing. There is always a queue but it normally goes quickly as there is an upstairs seating too. The decor needs updating but if you look past that then you will have a great time. The service is quick and efficient. The chicken fried satay is excellent and the duck is always a good shout. A must in China town!
S. W.
Delicious food for a quick no frills lunch and lager in Central London.
Special fried rice and crispy pork in sauce. Yum.
H. J.
The menu is very large with a lot of your typical Chinese food outside China fare, but head to the back page and there are a number of unique dishes from Malaysia/Singapore and Macau. The Macau-style pork chop (slathered with cheese and onions) is the ultimate comfort food. The Curry Laksa was pleasantly spicy and stuffed with all kinds of seafood. Service was excellent and the owners were very friendly and accommodating.
s. o.
Food was good, but quite expensive. We paid 46 pounds ($60!) for 3 vegetarian dishes + rice. Didn't even order drinks!
F. C.
SO DELICIOUS. Why isn't my local restaurant as good? The staff were wonderful. I ordered simple food but they made that very tasty. I'll need to buy more items the next time. We now have to eat outside the market, which is less enjoyable. But we had a table in a pub, so it wasn't a problem.
L. N.
This is my absolute first experience of a Chinese restaurant in China Town that I have experienced in London ever since I came here to study which dated back from October 2017! I since try to drop by once in a while!
For China Town standards, service is quite good! No smile, no extras, but it's fast, attentive and efficient! You can never go wrong with a set of roast meat in China Town (Duck is one of the better ones!)
Also, try the jelly fish if you're feeling wild!
For dessert, try the bean curd in Mango sago! Very refreshing and a great way to end the experience on a good note. (We once got an old batch which tasted funny but they will replace it for you )
Quite big portion but too tasty to share between two people :)
E. B.
Good place if you fancy traditional Chinese food. The staff is very friendly and dishes are served fast. London standard prices so no cheap escape. It's a good place to have dinner and I would definitely return but it's nothing super extravagant.
G. P.
A decent diner in Chinatown.
I think the food is good quality and well priced too. The staff are not too bad either.
Hits the spot for me.
S. T.
We decided to go with the £15 per person set menu. There’s definitely a lot of food that comes with the set menu for two people and better value compared to ordering separate dishes. We were quite pleased with our dinner. Standout dish was the sweet and sour pork! Everything else was at a good standard although the duck we had with the pancakes was slightly dry. Overall service was great and food was good.
A. V.
For a cheap option in Chinatown its not bad but definitely worse than a good few of its very local rivals that are only a little bit more expensive. But you'll never be too dissapointed here, although it's gone downhill over the years
E. B.
Lovely front of house service from a smiley guy and tasty food. The crispy chilli squid was addictively tasty and fresh, and the seafood & tofu hotpot had a zing from the ginger and perfectly cooked, still nicely crisp vegetables to contrast with the seafood and slippery dried mushrooms. Along with a portion of properly garlicy morning glory and some rice, this was a very generous meal for two of us. We’ll be going back :)

Date visited: 19/01/2020
Atmosphere: small restaurant on busy pedestrian street, seats slightly close to each other, service is quick
Food: student friendly priced with filling portions, food served hot
Other: queues extend to 30min-1hr at peak times
NB. Each person has to buy a main dish
P.
The stone pot dishes taste better than roasted meat dishes and seafood, friendly service, sometimes waiters give too much advice which makes the customers feel like they are being pushed to order more dishes.
K. T.
Great place serving good quality Hong Kong style food with helpful staff.
I had the roast meat with rice and was not disappointed at Al! The red bean ice was also refreshing and fresh. A golden oldie in China town!
S. C.
If you wants cheap and cheerful Chinese food, served quickly, this is a place to go. Staff were helpful and friendly, the food was good but not the best I've ever had (the egg was saltier than I liked).
P. Y.
Good choices and tasty, service and seating area average. Reasonable price.
G. L.
Good roast duck and Chinese dishes. Portion are generous and prices reasonable.
Recommended for Chinatown London.
G. L.
Really good service. Flavourful duck!! Very popular, so be prepared for a wait during dinner time. Went with a very happy vegetarian. Will come again.
M. C.
This is one of the few places open until midnight in Chinatown. The food can be a bit hit and miss, but overall on an okay and above level. Staff are friendly and the services are fast.
B. P.
HONG KONGERS REJOICE!!! Hands down one of the best places to get a taste of home! Their Hong Kong style milk tea is TO DIE FOR! The owner, being a big fan of proper hk style milk tea ensures that it tastes from your local cha chaan teng back home! Food is also delicious, though some dishes are a little pricey. Simpler stuff don't cost much though - their dried scallop seafood fried rice is litetally the best I've had in the world (yup, even better than HK!). Oh and if you're craving a dessert, be prepared to cream your pants!
J. S. M.
I am a regular here but last night let me down. The service of the food was slow. It was strange how a couple next to us ordered thier food after us and yet got thier food before us. The food was good but service was poor.
S. p.
This has been my fave chinese haunt for several years, delicious cantonese street food, reasonably priced, menu can be overwhelming like most Chinese restaurants. Best dishes to get our the Boneless roast duck, Curry beef flank and braised brisket hot pot.
J. R.
Probably the most “Hong Kong” place of all of Chinatown. Authentic char siu and pork belly, add some vegetables and a milk tea, and you might just think you’re in the fragrant harbour for a second! Service is also authentic (read: quick, efficient and impersonal). Reasonably priced.
K. K.
Try this if u are a Chinese traveler craving familiar food while in London. The roasted duck rice is good and comes with white cabbage instead of the usual cucumber. Ordered the laksa curry as well. Portion was huge but the taste is average. Overall, it’s familiar comfort food at a price that is triple or quadruple what I would pay at home. But then, what do u expect in London...🤣
f.
Great food and really fast service. Would definitely recommend. Only bone to pick would be that it's a bit pricey.
G. G.
We had roast duck and rice - it was simple and delicious. The service was good and the price is great.
S. W.
Cozy little restaurant. Minimum $8/person charge. Minimum $10 total order to pay by card, otherwise cash only. Food is average but I only tried 2 dishes.
W.
This will always (probably) be my number one favourite restaurant to dine at. Solid prices, great food, decent portions. Attentive, friendly staff. Open very late. A large selection of dishes to choose from. Just go here. You'd be missing out.
J. C. (. b. h.
Some good dishes. Served quickly. Staff are brisk but friendly
J. P.
Tried the prawn dumpling soup and Hainese chicken and enjoyed both very much. Service was quick and polite. It's nice that they have a couple of tables outside. The guy on the other table was eating some sort of cheese covered meat gratin that looked amazing!
J. L.
I go to this place for Asian type desserts sweet tofu mix in a wooden bucket thingy. Love it
A. T.
Best Cantonese/Hong Kong food I have found so far in London. Traditional, friendly and tasty, sometimes I would even say better than what I can usually find at home!
M. B.
I went here and was quite nice. I had the crispy noodles with crispy pork but they gave some sauce which was basically a kind of slime. Might go back again but will try something different on the menu to be completely honest.
T. A.
Lovely roasted meat dishes, very tasty, friendly staff, great value. Will return
M. P.
Really good Chinese food. We had great nuddels and Peking duck and we loved it. This is an authentic Chinese restaurant. Great service.
D. T.
Simple place with a massive menu. Fair prices for the West End. Very fast service and tasty food.
P. R.
Tasty food and reasonably priced. Seats could be a bit more comfy.
O. C.
Inexpensive delicious food, specially the desserts and meat noodle dishes
W. F.
Best Chinese street food in London (bar none) - be sure to have the milky tea (like a Te Tarik)
N. T.
Picture : mango and sago dessert. It's pretty okay, sweet and cold and gets the job done, but tastes overly fake. Like I know it's fake, but if food could talk this dessert would be holding a megaphone yelling, "I'M MADE OF FAKE PROCESSED STUFF."
J. D.
Absolutely delicious as well as affordable! Would not recommend the REGULAR boubly tea
Y. T.
I used to love food + dessert from TPT, but found the dessert take away portion becomes poor, only 1/2 container!Definitely 1/3 less than before ...
J. L.
Great authentic Chinese food and friendly service in a no frills environment. Small but vibrant restaurant with extensive menu. Thanks for the great food!
h.
bak kut teh is so-so.
iced lemon tea and milk tea are good.
J. C.
Excellent dessert, can be quite crowded so don't attempt to linger around.
c. b.
Over from the states, best Chinese I've had since I lived in NY over 20 yrs ago
H. C.
Great food. Really authentic and good value.
M. R.
We had crab that was delicious but hard to eat
F.
Great place to eat some well made traditional food, prices are very good for the portions they give, I'd be surprised if you leave hungry. Would really recommend their curry laksah. Most drinks are a bit pricey but that's pretty normal in restaurants, although they do offer Chinese tea for just £1.10 per head. Place is almost always bumbling with people, if going in big groups can still recommend as I think some table fit up to 7-8 people. Would recommend this place if you are hungry and in the area.
S. H.
Service was quick and easy. Food came within 5-10 minutes (mainly because we were the first customers) I had the Singapore fried noodles and they tasted great! Interesting South Eastern and Chinese dishes with a few of the classics, the price range is roughly the China town average with rice/noodles dishes being around £8-10. Overall recommend if you're running a party of 2 or less people.
P. L.
Love TPT 💜 it's a small place, popular with people in the know 😉 good HK food!
z. p.
Hongkong iced milk tea is really good! The rest are just so so.
K. C.
Fantastic place for Chinese food. Great options, service is fast. The beef pot that I tried was absolutely amazing.
N. H.
Really tasty food and such friendly staff. I hope they survive through this COVID period. There was so much food to choose from, I’d particularly recommend the soft shell crab and the duck, both were exquisite. Can’t wait to come back again soon.
m. L.
Very authentic hong Kong style food, the hot milk tea is better than explataion
J. J.
This has been my go to place, but not anymore. It was great, had large portions, and typical asian restaurant service.. now, things have changed. Service is still the same, but food quality has gone down, whilst they started introducing a 10% service fee charge. No longer recommending and coming here again. If you want to charge for service, provide it ! Wished I took the photo of my dish, the portions of the duck / crispy pork was minuscule and the rice was so dry :(
C. C.
I'm not the gourmet, I like most of the food. However, this time we order 3 courses two are disappointing and they are very costly. I should have gone to Wang kei!!!!
l. l.
Looking for Cantonese comfort food in London? You got it, right here! Need static and authentic.
S. R.
This is a little gem. Have eaten some of the best Chinese food I think I've ever eaten tonight. Good service and food arrived quickly, fresh and piping hot. Thoroughly recommended, we will certainly return.
A. K.
My favourite restaurant in Chinatown - it's tiny, but the food is really good!
Food: Superb selection. I love the food here, and I heard from people who lived in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan that the food is very authentic. A few dishes I can recommend are duck, honey pork, and squid. Dishes are delicious and quite filling.
Try their tapioca drinks (one is enough for two to share) - you'll love it.
Service: kind, attentive service. Some staff don't speak English well, but be patient and show tolerance, and they will accommodate your needs very well.
Atmosphere: tiny place, open kitchen; really adds to the experience.
J. T.
How to place you going to go for the decor but the food is ok. The staff were helpful the portions are pretty good. We found the duck to be excellent the vegetables a little bit generic the crispy roast pork very good but the spicy beef dish was average at best.
J. C.
Pretty good food. Fast service.
C. J.
Vegetarian manager recommended some delicious food. Big portions, great quality and range of options. Would highly recommend.
J. P.
I love this Chinese restaurant in China Town, looks are deceiving, it does look small but there is another level to the restaurant. The food is excellent and cheap, I had the braised duck with Back Choi and Mushrooms, Egg friend rice. The bill was <£25.00, love the size of the portions, it was definitely worth the bill and it was filling. I've experienced staff to be moody, unhelpful and bored in my past visits, but this time they were cheerful, helpful and interested in what they were doing perhaps it was the time of day or perhaps owner/manager had a word with them,I am not sure.
P. B.
Amazing food at decent prices
J. P.
You might not give this place a second glance compared to its glitzy neighbours but I discovered it on a 'best places to eat for less than £10' list. We ate upstairs where there is more space. I found the menu confusing so ordered several dishes that were not strictly on the menu, but were recommended by the lovely waitress. The prices are possibly the best in Chinatown, the portions generous and equally important - the food delicious. I've already recommended TPT to friends, and look forward to my next visit here.
H. G.
Service was so quick. Food was amazing. We ordered super fast as we had to go to the theatre and they totally understood. Got the food to us so quick and we then asked for the bill. Bill came within minutes. Would recommend
C. W.
Always feel at home here, thanks to their warm, welcoming staff and delicious food. Strongly recommend the honey lemon chicken, aubergine hotpot, baked pork chop on rice dish and for dessert the mango grapefruit sago. Working in the food industry ourselves, we've pretty much tried and tested all of the China town restaurants here over the last 16years and this is consistently our favourite!
P. G.
Dropped by for an early dinner.
G. T.
The food is very delicious. The staff are very welcome and they provide good customer service. I love this place
J. C.
Amazing food. Very polite and friendly.
C. T.
I ordered the Fujian noodles and requested it to be vegetarian. The lady was kind enough to accomodate. The taste was fine, though I'd say Hare and Tortoise does a much better job with vegetarian dishes. My friend got a bbq pork noodle, and the portion was huge and she said it was good. This place is great for meat lovers but not so for vegetarians. BUT the dessert was amazing. We ordered the mango pomelo sago which had generous chunks of fresh juicy mango in them. Will visit again for dessert!
E. D.
decent food but subpar service. The waitress literally whipped my drink away from my mouth the second I stopped sipping!!! We were given the bill the minute we said we weren't ready yet for dessert and then out came the card machine. The dining room was half empty and it was so unnecessary to rush us through. Would not recommend.
J. C.
Amazing food for an amazing price! I feel the need to state that this is Hong Kong style Chinese food; as a Chinese person whose parents are from Hong Kong believe me when I say the dishes are authentic and delicious!!!!
Non-Chinese people need to remember that China is a HUGE country with billions of people and dishes will be different depending on what region it's from.
Z. V.
Perfect eat and perfect personal. Thank you
M. T.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, all safety precautions taken, attentive service. Brilliant every time.
O. F.
delicious
T. O.
Not welcoming for entrance but very nice food and open till late
S. M.
Went for the set menu for 2 which included the duck pancakes. Loved every dish. The staff were friendly, the service was quick. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for some tasty dishes.
C. “. A.
Great authentic Chinese food, friendly staff, amazing squid and duck 100% recommend
J. B. (.
We visited TPT for the first time today. The food and service was fantastic. We had scallops for starters and the honey pork hawker dish for mains. Honestly some of the best food we have eaten in years. We'll be visiting again soon!
H. S.
It's a hit or a miss with dishes. Some are good while others taste bad.
Place is always crowded and tables are so close to each other you might elbow food of fellow eaters from other table.
Like many China Town restaurants, service is all about optimising for time to make more money and less about guest comforts.
N. K.
Hidden gem offering very tasty Malay Cantonese menu. Curry Laksa amazing and the minced pork and aubergine pot is one of my favourite ever dishes! Roast duck and crispy roast pork also delicious! Rex and his team are great and treat you like family in this very casual relaxed no frills joint.
A. Q.
Ordered choi sum in broth...... but there’s no soup lolllllll
S.
Pretty legit Cantonese food! I went there at 2am when everything was shut, we wanted more booze and food. Disclaimer: I am only rating this based on what I remember after consuming a ridiculous amount of beers. Everything tasted authentic like you would for a casual Cantonese eatery. I think this was the place that served beer in a teapot after 2am.
L. W.
Been here twice. Always quick and friendly service. Great authentic food, also good veggie options. Would recommend the chilli and salt tofu (or prawns) and the laska (soup / ramen dish).
l. l.
Food was fabulous, service was fast. However after visiting this restaurant several times the welcome and the friendliness never improves! I would say that a lot of the staff are impolite and downright rude! Personally I don’t want to give my money to people that can’t even smile or say hello. I have found a restaurant I find better now anyway.
H. Y.
Fast service, good food and overall enjoyable experience. For being in the heart of tourist Chinatown, we found this place surprisingly quiet. They are also one of the few restaurants in this area to accept cards. We had a great time, would visit again.
유.
I've actually never eaten in here but this place gives me a good and reliable fix of a Chinese takeaway. Seems to have a very big menu with Malaysian options, shall give that a try later, e.g. CKT. Not quite sure whether I'd choose to eat in here though (as said, good for takeaways)
M. N.
Dumplings are fantastic. The service really nice. Good quality price food. I needed to charge my mobile and they were super helpful with it. Totally recommended.
P. L.
Just had a lovely meal here with my friend. Food was really nice, good value for money. Good location. Friendly, courteous staff. Really liked the cornflake dish. Would happily return. Thank you
J. V.
Portions are big, value for money cant fault them other then limited space if anyone is claustrophobic they will have trouble eating in.. Top 4 stars for food
M. R.
Excellent sago with coconut and mango—and a very large size. Average Hong Kong milk tea. The sago is the one you want to order, and there are several choices. Of course they offer regular Cantonese-style food as well. (January 2018)
K. N.
Authentic Chinese cuisine that's as close as home cooking comes in Leicester Square. A bit pricey (£45 for two - two mains, bowl of rice and one drink) and small and cramped interior. Overall, good for dinner if you're wanting food that reminds you of Hong Kong.
J. P.
Large menu selection, food made fresh in front of your eyes, good for a late lunch. Very small, hole in the wall feel. Limited seating, so it's better in the less busy hours. I would recommend to a friend.
V. S.
The set seafood meal is absolutely divine! Friendly service too. £20 per head for approx. 4 courses - all of which were delicious and the seafood was cooked really well - not overdone.
M. I.
Good restaurant for daily usage. Sweet and sour pork is my favorite. A kind of desert soup (may consist of mixed mango, tapioca, and grape fruit) is also recommended. It is open until late, you can have noodles even after having a pint.
H. D.
Probably best in China town, open late fast service
D. D. (.
perfect!
A. Y.
Meat in vegetarian noodle dish, small pieces of bone in duck noodle soup as well as overall average food loses this restaurant two stars, despite its fast service. Would not recommend.
C. A.
The tofu hotpot and the hawker centre style dishes are nice. The Duck Rice is not as good as some other places. Open late so good to go to satisfy a late night craving!
J. K.
Any seasoned Chinatown goer knows not to order from the main dishes menu -- especially if she is alone or in a small party. The rice and noodle dishes offer much better bang for buck. For instance, the roasted and barbecue pork rice combo is some of the best on the Wardour stretch. Their claypot portions are also rather large and can make for some decent sharing options.
The desserts are Hong Kong classics, albeit served in a wonderfully large and diabetic wooden vat. Try those too, if nothing else.
P. H.
Cheap Chinese lunch menu available. 3 courses with Chinese tea for under a tenner in central London is not to be sneezed at. One star off a full house because the portions have gotten smaller recently, as if a few extra mouthfuls of rice will create worthwhile savings when compared to the loss of goodwill.
J. M.
Good but I'm not a big a big fan of Chinese food
S. W.
Jer Jer chicken is soooooooooooooooo tasty, green beans as well! Even the white hottie likes it !
J. S.
My food tasted delicious, however it went cold extremely fast. Additionally, the other diner in my party did not enjoy their meal, hence I have settled on 3 stars.
L. L.
Went to have lunch and ordered Malaysian Laksa. I have never had a Laksa meal as good as this place! The lemak was perfect and the whole preparation was very very well done. I recommend anyone visiting Cafe TPT to try the Laksa and don't forget to write a review.
The service was quick and excellent. And the staff were very obliging. It was one of my best experiences in London!
S. L.
My fried beef noodles was average and portion wasn't all that generous. Same goes for the "lo hon zai" vegetable dish. Perhaps need to try the roast meat dishes next time.
A. R.
Super friendly place serving great food in a chilled and simple setting. Family friendly, able to cater for allergies. Tastes fantastic also
E. A.
Fantastic street food. No pretentions just good honest food
S.
The best Chinese food so far. We came on the Chinese New Year, they were really busy but even so they were really kind and gentle with us. The portions are really good as well!
S. M.
Hongkongese restaurant which has my favourite Iced Milktea. The Char Siu Rice is not bad in a reasonable price. It also serves sweet soups which is perfect after dinner and it closed at about 1am.
A. V.
Food was nice. Service was OK.
L. G.
Very good place to have a dinner late. The food is pretty nice and reminds me my time in Hong Kong.
They serve bubble tea as well ;)
W. W.
They are selling malaysian hokkien mee, laksa, bak kut teh and many more Malaysian food here. Taste good. But, service lacking behind.
S. K.

M. C.
Very good food at reasonable price, really big selection of cantonese dishes
J. O.
The roast duck and roast pork must try. It is Crispy. But the cantonese roasted pork taste is so so. For drink, hot Soya drink is not bad.
C. L.
The food is very good and the price is reasonable. Staff also good serve. I give 4 star because the dessert.
M. M.
Good Chicken Satay, Crispy Shredded Chicken and Egg Fried Rice with a Coke for £22.10. Quick service and not badly priced for London.

One of my favorite Asian restaurants in London. Authentic and delicious dishes. Just keep in mind that the place is really small.
K. T.
Dishes cooked to a traditional taste, much appreciated by an elderly parent who's classically trained in clay pot cooking. Well done!

L. K.
This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London. I even order it on Deliveroo when I can.
D. H.
The food is very nice, the boss must train staffs to behave appropriately n serve more properly instead of throwing plates, spoons or food onto customers table.
C. C. K. S.
I can’t imagine how could I survive my life in London without cafe TPT. For people with Chinese background, food from here tastes like home.
T. P.
Nice chinese restaurant with a bunch of Chinese visitors. Not the cheapest though, at 20 pound per person.
R. T.
Food is decent and service quick , but they won't let you have a table if you're just looking for dessert options.
J. W.
Always good to be back to good old TPT! Relay on friendly service and good food! Thank you Rex! See you again soon!
From Switzerland!
F. P.
Not bad. Friendly staff.
G. N.
Good food with a reasonable price. The hainanese chicken rice is not very authentic, the rice is not the correct taste but the chicken is good.
C. S.
This is a really nice place to dine but it is really busy during the peak hours so i try to get in early.
J. L.
Excellent, real Chinese food, not the westernised version. Enjoyed my lunch.

Lovely local Hong Kong taste. Good food.
S. B.
The food is great but prices are extortionate!! Pak choy at £8??? The location at Leicester Square surely helps. Also don't expect great dining experience. Just like street food delivery it will be slammed in front of you. Only the price kills, for sure.
P. G. (.
Cozy little restaurant serving Hong Kong style cafe food with 2 floors.
The food is good. We went for some roasted meats and it did not disappoint. They have a great rice set with either the BBQ pork, roasted duck or honey roasted pork. You can also choose 2 or 3 types of meat if you are like me and want a little of all three. Just be careful with the sauce on the meats. It was a bit much as it was super dark and thick. My friend who goes there often said it was the first time they put so much. I would request it on the side just to be safe. We also ordered the salt and pepper squid and the Chinese broccoli with ginger sauce. Both were also tasty. Most dishes are larger enough to be shared between 2-3 people.
The restaurant itself is plain with very little decoration. Relatively clean in the dining room area, but the washroom could use a bit of care.
Overall good menu with lots of choice. Worth going back again for sure.

Fantastic tasty Sea food Set Menu

(Translated) I saw this store mentioned on the Internet, and it happened to be in Chinatown again. I tried it in the past. The overall standard is ok, but I don't particularly want to go there for the second time. For Cantonese people, it can only be regarded as unsatisfactory. The fried rice in Sin Chew is a bit soggy; the stuffed bean curd in the pot tastes normal, but Wenxing's seasoning feels better; the zhezhe chicken pot is overwhelmed, and the seasoning is a bit strange; Yang Zhi Ganlu is probably the best dish, although the taste is not very good. Authentic, but still pretty good. Probably because I didn't order the signature dish so I stepped on the thunder.... But from an experience, it is not very recommended.

(Translated) Hong Kong style taste👍🏻
The Fujian fried rice is full of gas, and has a wine fragrance.
The red bean ice is shaved ice.
Hong Kong style milk tea is OK. 👍🏻
The siu-mei is 98%, and the remaining 2% is due to the limited difference in the meat quality of the ingredients.
(Original)

(Translated) This shop is a very memorable place in my entire study abroad career. The owner is hospitable and very attentive. He makes meals in the shop every day. The food is clean and delicious. The price is affordable. Whenever I go to Chinatown, I must go to a meal by myself when I am in a bad mood. It's all solved. Because the epidemic restaurant is very difficult, I wish you a smooth ride. Recommend saliva chicken, yangzhi nectar and curry spicy sand.
