Reviews of Capital Restaurant Wood Green

You can never really go wrong with Turkish food.
This place has a large 2 floor dinning room, making it easy to just walk in and get a table immediately.
Staff is good even though through my experience they are a bit in the slow side of service.
Coming down to the important part of this review, Capital, as a Turkish restaurant, offers for free once you sit down the typical Pitta bread and some dips to get your appetite going. There is a wide selection of food choices in the menu and all of then have something to offer.
Definitely get the halloumi as an appetizer. The sauce that comes accompanied with the fried cheese is sweet and slightly spicy, giving it a very interesting taste profile.
I personally got the mixed skewers which came with one chicken, one lamb skewer and instead of rice, with £1 extra I added some chips. Overall the dish was good although a bit dry and underseasoned for me expectations.
Also, trying the rice from my friend's dishes really lacked salt and that was the theme throughout the main dishes in general.
Prices for the food offered are a bit higher for my liking, but the quality is still good enough to justify it.
Overall, good food, nice atmosphere and decent staff.

Had anniversary dinner here since this is my husband’s favourite Turkish place !! He has been here many times with his friends back in his university life and was excited to take me there for the first time since we both love Turkish food. The ambiance and staff were all right !! But according to my husband they have reduced the quality of the food per platter and that was a big disappointment for him !! And I can honestly say that I have had better tasting Turkish food in last 2 years. To me the food was kind of bland in taste … even the sea food platter, I am still willing to give them a 4 star hoping they will look into these things !! Overall had a nice time with friends although not sure if I’ll be going back there !!

Menu is decent and food is not too pricey.
Complementary salad and cream, hummus and amazing bread.
The food doesn’t not take too long to come in after order and portions are good.
Only let down was the rice with the dish, which was served without any sauce.
Complementary tea after our meal as well.
Staff is friendly as well. Good experience

Brilliant Turkish restaurant in a prime location on Woodgreen High Street, that's always served tasty food cooked to perfection.
The restaurant offers plenty of indoor & outdoor seating areas.
Today I opted for a Lahmacun with Chicken Donner, Salad, Chips + Chill & Garlic sauce.. which refilled my gas tank and sent me on my way to another great day!
Customer service was brilliant 👏🏼
5* Would recommend on overall experience 👍🏼

Nice food, big portion and a little bit cheeper than the restaurants from the area.
Very clean restaurant, beautiful decor, elegant and not tacky.
friendly staff and quick service offered by them.
For 2 people we paid under £40 mains and drinks.

Nice atmosphere, wait staff were very quick and attentive. I've been here a few times and definitely prefer the upstairs. A bit unfortunately, but my last trip here, the food was a bit worse that what I remember.

This restaurant is really popular but we managed to get a table on walking in. Food healthy and delicious, lovely staff and great vibe. I would recommend this place.

I visited this restaurant with a friend in the early hours of the morning, as it's one of his favourites and he wanted me to try their food. I can easily see why it's one of his favourite restaurants. Fantastically friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. We sat outside to eat where there are heaters available. I'd have just as happily sat inside as the decor was tasteful and elegant. I haven't eaten a lot of Turkish food before but I will be in future. The hot pitta with the hummous and dip was wonderful as was the pickled salad. The main event, the stew was out of this world. Beautifully tender lamb shank and chicken combined with the hors d'oeuvres was mind blowing. The potatoes and carrots from the stew were flavoured right through with the meat and stock. It was all nicely finished off with tea and baklava which were superb. Pricing was also reasonable. The facilities were spotlessly clean and beautifully finished. I could not find a single fault with this restaurant and it's opening hours were fantastic for those enjoying the night life. A 5* hygeine rating is on display as well. Wheelchair users should find the ground level access accomodating. If I could give more than 5 stars I would gladly!
Just to edit my review and add some more pictures after another wonderful visit. The same phenomenal service as last time. We had a kebab meal, moussaka, a chicken dish served with chips, two single Amarettos and the wonderful baklava and tea again. Of course accompanied by the complementary salad, pitta and dips. The grand total of this feast for two just £27!!

Great tasty food and decent price. Some staff are a bit rude and needs more training. We were told that we weren't allowed to blow a small candle due to fire hazard but another staff said it was fine. We were a big group for my dads birthday and I know it could be difficult to deal with at times but I have been to other turkish restaurant with a big group before and their service was perfect and they knew what we needed and didnt have to ask most of the times. So a little disappointing on their service as they weren't as friendly and approachable but great food!
