Reviews of Casa do Frango Shoreditch
B.
Enjoyed our lunch. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with good heat lamps for the outside tables. The food was tasty! Vegetarian options available. The servers were all extremely nice and friendly, but it was quite disorganized. We often had to repeat our orders multiple times to different servers to get them, even simple orders like beer. Also we had to wait quite a while for our table even though we had booked in advance. Hopefully as London gets back to normal they find their rhythm in this new pace.
A. P.
Very slow service when you need them, very rushed when you've finally relaxed.
Having wanted to come to CdF for a couple of years it was exciting to finally be able to go. Sadly the experience was disappointing. Despite having booked a table, we were told to wait at the bar for 18 minutes. By the time we finally sat at the table, it was another 15 minutes before someone came with a menu or a waiter came to greet us.
The food was alright - the chicken which was the main event was dry and this was only alleviated by their chili sauce. This sauce was not given out freely - to say the least. We quickly ran out of it and had to ask three times over 20 minutes for a refill.
And then as we were eating we started being rushed by a waitress on ordering more drinks or dessert. By this point it was already 9:40 PM so highly doubt there was a booking after us - especially as half of the tables around us were empty.
Finally we paid but we were left feeling so disappointed by both quality of food and service.
Might have been better off going to Nando's.
A. G.
The place gives you a feeling that it is an upgraded Nando’s. If you are vegetarian / vegan , this is not your place ( unless you want to have cauliflower & chips).
The piri-piri chicken was indifferent.
4 stars for the overall vfm, as it is not expensive. Wouldn’t recommend unless no other option!

Portuguese restaurant with short proximity to Shoreditch High Street.
Piri piri chicken was nice and juicy inside, the sides (cod fritters, croquettas) however were quite mediocre to say the least and apparently not authentic as it seems to be. Sangria was quite a disappointment, we expected it to have more of a sweet citrus flavour which it lacked.
The salami cake was amazing and a great way to end your meal. It is sort of a hit or miss with this restaurant.
L. Z.
Garlic prawns, grilled chorizo(and the chilli pepper pickle), char grilled mushroom, African rice even the bread (come with so many sauces and dips)and so much more. It was a great surprise that food can be so good!
L. F.
We fell in love with this place. It was my first visit to a restaurant after the lockdown and we were lucky to get a table with no reservation ( yet try to book if possible). Food was delicious, beautifully presented, the house wine was just gorgeous, atmosphere was perfect and on a relatively chilly day with heaters and blanket it was perfect, and the service was amazing. We felt so welcomed and well looked after. Do visit them. You'll have no disappointments.

First time to try Portuguese food in London, the piri piri chicken is roasted well. For me it's just not that spicy, a little bit too plain. The almond cake is amazing!
K.
This is my second experience at Caso Do Frango Restaurarants (first one was at the London Bridge restaurant) and both were great. The only gripe I had on this visit was that the cocktails were not consistent. But the food was fantastic. Also worth mentioning that it's not quite authentic Portuguese but rather Portuguese-insipired. Still it was a really fab, positive experience. The staff were also extremely friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great. Would absolutely go back! (Cross-posted on OpenTable)

African rice was the highlight for me. The chicken is a bit overhyped. Space is amazing though and was able to accommodate a large group on short notice, so five stars!

This was absolutely unbelievable. It was a party of 3 and we had: Caipirinhas, Iberico Pork Croquettes, Bacalhau Fritters, Grilled Chorizo, Charred Cauliflower, Fire-Roasted Broccoli and Piri-Piri Chicken.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that every single dish was absolutely incredible: the cauliflower is a whole head of it, and the broccoli is tenderstem so they were only a couple of stalks. The croquettes were cooked to perfection and the sauce was the best match.
Every flavour was amazing, mourish, nothing tasted like anything else, great for sharing as well!
The ckicken was great but might be just enough for 1 person, since we had more plates to share it went unnoticed. It's on the bone, so not exactly loads of meat. I believe there was a spicy sauce that was just perfect for it.
The staff was friendly and the place wasn't too busy when we arrived, we booked for midday on a Saturday.
Would highly recommend if you want to try something completely different in London!
I. L.
Had a nice and relaxing lunch in their spacious restaurant. Friendly and quick service. Main course limited to chicken only but there were plenty of sides options and small dishes to provide a bit more variety.
S. C.
It was like a high end Nandos - tasty chicken full of flavour with nice big juicy prawns like in Portugal. The chorizo was also very tasty, would visit again!
J. P.
We went there last week to try the grilled chicken and we also tried the grilled chouriço and garlic prawns. Everything was good although only three waiters serving all restaurant. They played the role. We asked to take off the service charge (12.5%) and we gave a tip directly to the waiter because they don't receive any part of the service charge. Thanks guys we'll be back soon xx
A. R.
Nice early dinner good choice of Tapas style food staff friendly and efficient great value and good tasting food. Beer was a bit warm but it was a hot evening. Worth a visit 👍😁
Y.
The food was delicious. However, I was not able to calmly eat because the distance to the seat next to me was too close and other people's chairs often hit my chair and noise reached my ears directly. I wanted to eat dessert, but the desire to get out early won...
A. P.
Had dinner here one of the first evening after I moved to the area. The food is great. Portuguese-inspired and fits well in London. The decor is really well thought through: from the furniture to the floor and the plants, it all goes well together and creates a nice atmosphere.
D. J.
A fabulous discovery out of the blue!
We picked this for a birthday lunch, relying only on online reviews and pictures of the food and what a coup!
The food menu is not enormous (and liking piri-piri chicken is a must) but everything was executed beautifully and extremely tasty. The cauliflower dish was particularly packed with flavours!
The drink menu was varied and offered great options. The port & tonic is a must!
The atmosphere was good, the waiters flexible and it all felt very safe. The bathrooms were particularly nice!
T. I.
As a non biased Portuguese, I have to say I loved my birthday lunch! Tasty food, great service too!
S. W.
Everything was so flavoursome! Will definitely be coming back here again. Great place to chat with friends and share all the good foods. Highly recommend the rice dishes!
F. A.
Great food, friendly staff. Great decor and made the day for my friemds special as it was her birthday.
A. S.
Nice food and fast friendly service.
V. C.
Food was great but didn't like the Sangria it was like u are drinking juice.
A. B.
It’s hard to review these spaces because it’s just so bland - nothing to complain about it, sure, but nothing exciting really. It’s okay. You’ll have a decent time there. Peri-peri chicken was really tasty, but the cocktails are far from generous.
G. G.
Great simple little menu. Tapas style dishes that are well cooked and varied. The chicken I found to be lacking, both portion and flavour wise. The wines in offer are superb value for money, as well as the ports on offer. I'll be back for sure.
A. L.
Very good Portuguese style chicken, the portions are a good size and reasonably priced. The Shoreditch venue is great, nice big windows and spacious.
O. C.
Great place to be,loved the food along with the atmosphere.
The staff were exceptionally helpful especially Nikki who recommended their Boa Pinga wine, definitely one of my new faves
T. M.
Good food. Try the green rice. Can’t miss with the chicken. The cauliflower is nice too. Anything with chorizo is a house on fire.
D. K.
More than just a piri-piri joint!
The food was amazing and the service was very attentive and helpful. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the hostess and shown to our table where the waiters offered us water and menus and took our order. We ordered the garlic and piri-piri prawns, the iberico croquets and the sourdough to start and for mains the piri-piri chicken, African rice and fresh-cut fries. The food arrived fast and everything tasted fresh, the sourdough was warm and toasty accompanied by whipped butter, pickles, olives and preserved beans. The Iberico croquets were crispy on the outside and extremely fluffy and soft-almost melting on the inside. Prawns came with an “out of this world” rustic sauce which put the sourdough into very good use. Not long after, the mains arrived with a succulent chicken, crispy fries and a full of textures rice. The chicken was indeed the star of the show, crispy skin succulent meat and a spicy and tangy piri-piri sauce. The fries were crispy exactly like grandmas and the rice had spicy flavours and various textures.
To finish our meal we had the pastels de nata and the chocolate salami accompanied by cherry digestifs, the pastels, which arrived with a soft and creamy custard centre and a crispy pastry case were the freshest little treat and a perfect ending to our meal.
I would definitely recommend Casa do Frango to anyone wanting to have a meal full of original flavours of Portugal in a cosy environment.
A. K.
Amazing place, where food meets celebration!
Was visiting this restaurant last Thursday. I was with my family, who stayed with me in London, and other friends. Everybody enjoyed their time!
Amazing service, super attentive staff and waiters Shauna and Rayan, very cute and friendly receptionist :)
Food was fantastic, so as the wine list and cocktail menu.
When visiting this place, you should definitely go for piri-piri chicken with a lot of sharing plates (such as garlic mushrooms or cod fritters) and sides (african rice!, and I would recommend tomato salad). Don't forget about green wine, and as desserts - homemade pastel de nata with rainwater dessert wine.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try true Portuguese experience in London!
M. G.
Amazing chicken!! Starters also very tasty (prawns, octopus salad and croquetes)! Me and my friends loved it ❤️
G. W.
Visited Casa do Frango last week and I was amazed by the food, starters, main course and desserts were very nice, and this was helped by the service, especially Nikki who went above and beyond.
I would highly recommend.
L. G.
Hands down the best Piri-Piri chicken outside the Algarve. The Portuguese ex-dairy beef meatballs are insane. Salt cod fritters are a must. Special mention for the chocolate pastel de nata, absolutely ridiculous. Ask for the off menu chilli whisky but be careful, it is 🔥
A. R.
Great authentic food, attention to detail and good service. Absolute perfection, will be back soon.
G. S.
Nice fun place for weekend lunch. Good outdoor space and music being played.
Food was nice and good standard. Comfort eating.
I really like the prawn dish.
M. Z.
Nice food and drinks. Very accommodating for customers with hearing loss. Will come back again.

We decided to visit Casa do Frango after seeing an ad for it on instagram and realising it’s quite close to where we live. And boy are we glad we came! The food is simple but delicious. Good vibe in the restaurant with music playing as well as numerous tables to sit outside
In terms of food for starters we ordered the garlic prawns (really delicious, With a good flavour of Chilli and garlic), the meatballs (we were mixed on the meatballs, the sauce is delicious but I found the meatballs a bit tasteless but my partner loved both) as well as bread which is without a doubt amazing. Seriously, get the bread! Plus does wonders to mop up the sauce from both the meatballs and prawns
For mains we had the peri peri chicken (chicken was so tender and succulent with nice crispy skin. Sauce was ok, quite sweet) as well as the African rice (interesting and tasty) and the slaw (nice and not too creamy but nothing outstanding)
We had a couple of issues with our drinks order and one of the dishes but the staff went well over and above in resolving
A good staple restaurant that we are glad to have found. Have already booked to come back!
L. P.
We had a great night here with a large group. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and all in all it was a very good experience. Would definitely recommend.
J. P. (.
Tender and premium version of piripiri chicken.
Loos was too far away from second floor.
C. D.
Nice lounge downstairs, in a quiet corner of shoreditch (but within walking to main attractions). Upstairs with restaurant. Only the chicken for the main, but it is very delicious (and they will give extra sauce for free). A good range of specialty sides, such as African rice with chorizo, or sweat potato and beans. A few vegetarian options. Servers very polite and friendly. Food served quickly (since options limited).
R. M.
Ordered two half-chickens for me and my friend, and waited for 50 minutes for the food to arrive. This was a week day, and the restaurant wasn't even close to be full.
Regarding the food, I'm Portuguese and I thought the chicken was good, even if the portions were quite small. The other things I tried - bacalhau fritters, fries and creamed spinach - were very plain.
N. P.
Loved our dinner at Casa do Frango - great new addition to shoreditch! Food is delicious, staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
V. M.
Busy atmosphere. Ordered several small plates and a main between 2 people. Nice variety
R. R.
I really had the best time here. The food was delicious, the staff were great, the outside space was cosy and the wine was amazing. A big shout out to Lorne, our amazing waiter who was very informative and polite. I will definitely return!
T.
We had dinner here and the friendly Portuguese waiter with an impressive beard recommended a lovely wine and provided an overall great experience. Will definitely come back!
C. G.
Simple tapas menu but great food. Excellent, fast service. Highly recommended. It was a cold evening but they can't that help that, although they did have patio heaters and blankets. Definitely worth a visit
M. C.
Authentic portuguese food, delicious!
Thank god we had Antonio serving us, super friendly, great service!!! Thank you so much we definitely will be back!
R. W.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal on the patio on the second day of lockdown easing... Staff were working hard to keep everyone happy, and the food was delcious. We finished our meal with every dessert on the menu - I highly recommend the custard tarts and chocolate mousse!!! We'll be back!
E. G.
Ordered the Piri-piri chicken with the coliflowers (top-right corner) and the green rice (top-left), was very tasty and well cooked.
B. W.
At the end of the day, posh Nandos. However you dress it up, if you're coming here, you're having chicken, with chips/salad/a side of your choice, and you're paying double.
That said, if chicken and chips are your thing, you're in luck, because it's quality food, done with care in nice surroundings, with nice staff, and decent cocktails. If I was being critical, I'd say the chicken was a little dry, but that misses the point. Taken at face value, it's Nandos done nicely. And if you're fine with that, you'll have a good time here.
J. A.
Really tasty food - lots of strong flavours, quick service, great location
G. P.
Was such lovely food and buzzing atmosphere highly recommend it also the waiters are very nice and attentive.
I. N.
Great vibe and food, but the waiter was a bit slow. After we placed our order he asked "is that all?" in a very sarcastic tone which was a bit off putting to be honest. But overall good experience.
S.
Lovely staff, very accommodating. Food is nice, we got both the piri piri and lemon chicken. Still prefer Nando’s I’ll be honest but good experience.
D. C.
Casa do Frango Shoreditch,
What a wonderful place to enjoy some of the best piri piri chicken adding some beautiful wine from the north of Portugal Boa pinga and finish with high class Pastéis de Nata. Really worth the visit amazing vibes and staff highly recommended.
J. F.
The food is very good - I loved the Montanheira salad. The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
G. R.
Great menu selection and a wonderful place to go with a group of friends.
R. B.
Such friendly staff and great service, and delicious menu and great ambience. The main dish is chicken but all the small plates we tried were delicious too. Do try their piri piri prawns! We went on a Sunday evening so wasn't very busy either. They're new in Shoreditch but have an established branch already in London Bridge. Get there before the secret is out!
A. m.
Fantastic place with great food and an amazing atmosphere. Decoration is amazing and I just wish I could take the long velvety sofa home. The food is brilliant and it takes me back home. Highly recommend the Algarvian Gaspacho shot it’s packed with flavour and texture. Service was amazing start to finish. The host was lovely and our main waiter, Tomazzo, was honestly incredible and made our experience that much better. A very big thank you and keep up the good work!
V. K.
My husband and I had high hopes for this place as we love Portuguese food but the flavours for each dish didn't compliment each other. The almond cake which was a good amount of soft and chewy at the end of the meal did somewhat redeem our experience at Casa do Frango a little.
I understand that it's a difficult time for restaurant businesses right now but it was very clear that they needed more staff working, one waitress was serving 7 tables upstairs all by herself which meant service was lacking especially right at the end where we had to wait 25 minutes after we finished up, to just settle the bill.
That said, it's always a pleasure for us to eat out and I wish Casa do Frango all the best.
P. T.
Chicken lacked flavour, chips and cauliflower were nice
Z. F.
Had a lovely dinner. Nice ambience, attentive service, tasty food.👌
A. M.
Nice enough food, but tiny portions. This place is very expensive for what you get. I was glad to have finally tried it, but to be honest next time I'd be inclined to go to nandos!
The saving grace was the pastel de nata - that was delicious, with lovely oozing custard. If you're going here, be sure to get dessert!
R. f.
Went to Casa Do Frango and was amazed with the great atmosphere and polite staff. Will definatly be going back
S. R.
It's sort of like Nandos but the food was a disappointment. The only thing I can recommend is the cauliflower - which is the only reason that I am giving 3 and not 1 star.
J. R.
Boom - they have done it again!
I have been to the Casa do Frango in Southwark and the experience was great. It's just the same at their new place in Shoreditch.
The food is delicious (esp. the African Rice) and the service is outstanding. I love that they have so much authentic Portugese food and beer.
The restaurant is located in a really cool part of Shoreditch and the decor inside the restaurant is comfortable, and the atmosphere friendly.
I'll be back..
M. G.
Dinner for one after a long flight home! Great place for piri piri chicken.
k. B.
Great food! The service was good and the atmosphere was chilled not overly loud like most restaurants these days. I had the Peri Chicken and it never disappoints you get the same quality in all the other branches. One of the best dishes is the chicken as it's well seasoned and moist.
H. R.
I had an amazing lunch here the other day. The food was delicious was the staff were so friendly and polite. I will definitely be coming back soon!
A. K.
Lovely staff, nice place, good food. BUT! £4 For one nata?!#%. Plus 12% service. I didn't quibble but next time I might refuse the service addition.
J. D.
Amazingly tasty Algraves cuisine in the buzzing epicenter of all fun in Shoreditch. My wife and I went for lunch with our 1.5 yo daughter and a friend. We ordered almost all the menu (all dishes are picket friendly priced so you can indulge in a vaste choice of items). The building is brand new and the furnishing inside is quite smart however easy at the same time. Tables are comfortable and spacious with lots of room to sit comfortably. We had a reservation and we arrived on time, my daughter has been given a highchair in no time by the super attentive service and in matter of 2 minutes everyone had a drink and the little one had something to deep her teeth into while we were picking from the very easy and straight forward menu (both in Portuguese and English). All dishes are very interesting and none disappointed us though obviously each one has his/her favourite. I loved the spicy cauliflower dressed with coriander yoghurt, my wife (a chef of a known city restaurant who started her career in pastry) loved the pasta de nata with chocolate, my daughter loved the meatballs (sounds like a boring dish, well it is everything but that, the sauce is in fact super exciting), our friend loved the rice salad. Salad cod fritters and Octopus salad are a must and the pollo Frango, the signature dish, has the most complex and moorish piri piri sauce ever. Wine is very nice and again affordable (we shared a bottle of rose) in the end I indulged in a glass of herbal liquor: it's very easy to get there by bus or tube so why not having one more drink!? Well done guys. We will definitely be back with more friends. Please open another one!
E. C.
We wer greeted by super friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff definitely make this a beautiful place. Thank you for being so attentive and polite throughout. We will definitely be back!
S. A.
Very nice dinning expirence with polite and expirenced staff. Food was good. A couple dishes were really good (meatballs and African rice). The prawns were quite underwhelming though. Nothing special about the chicken. The slaw was great. Fairly decent value given the area. Service really was great but not sure the food was good enough to bring me back.
D. Z.
It was our first visit to the Shoreditch branch of casa do frango after being frequent guests of the London bridge restaurant, and it did not disappoint!
We walked in on a busy Saturday night without a booking and were delighted that they had a table available.
The chicken was delicious, and my personal favourite 'African rice' was even better than I remembered.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, we sat downstairs in the bar area during our meal, and finished our drinks and desert outside, which the staff kindly accommodated and moved our table.
Overall we had a fantastic night, and would happily reccomend this restaurant to our friends.
M. W.
Service was amazing,a thoroughly good experience from our waitress Nikki
J. S.
Had a lovely lunch here, there are big heaters for all the outdoor tables, and most are under umbrellas, but we didn't need either today as the sun was out! The food was all delicious, especially the chicken and the garlic mushrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful, and all wearing masks, which was great.
M. K.
Casa do Frango translates to chicken house, which vastly undersells what’s happening here. The menu kicks off with a round of sharing plates to start – ‘some of them really aren’t that small,’ our waiter warns us. We tried chewy potato sourdough served warm with whipped butter that was topped with chunky flakes of salt, smoky grilled chorizo which left a trail of scarlet oil in the dollop of black olive mayo that came with it, and Piri-Piri prawns that packed a garlicky punch. For the main course, there’s just one option – the house half chicken, brushed with Casa do Frango’s signature Piri Piri sauce, it’s charred on the outside and juicy in the middle, perfect for ripping into with a group. Load up on the sides – we particularly liked the African rice, which came with crispy chicken skin and soft plantain. For pudding, make like the Portuguese and order the Pastel de Nata – the chefs here have perfected the balance of flaky pastry casing and oozy, custardy filling.

I ate here on Tuesday with a friend and we loved it. Fabulous house red wine. We ate the piri piri chicken, fries, green rice and slaw which was so delicious. Very friendly and attentive service. I've recommended to many friends and will be coming back.
D. B.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was tasty.
M. A.
I LOVE it here! Every single dish is amazing! I can't fault the food. High recommend as it's also reasonably priced!
G. _.
The meal was satisfying and tasty, the staff were also attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking to dine outside.
H. E.
The restaurant it's pretty and full of plants. The staff is welcoming. About the food, they serve small portions and they charge 4 pounds for the bread wich is kinda ridiculous... It's a little bit pricey.
A. K.
Went to Casa do Frango Shoreditch on a whim with a friend and everything we ordered was delicious. Particularly the Peri Peri Chicken was great but would recommend ordering one to share and a bunch of the starters as well since there are many interesting options. 🤟🏻
R. B.
We were served by a lovely gent named Lorne, he was funny and witty and made our experience so fun! Would definitely go back for the service!
D. N.
Fantastic cauli. Spicy chicken Lovely staff.

Visited the buzzing new venue of CDF in Shoreditch this week. Having visited their first branch in London Bridge, I was expecting the same quality reflected in this venue and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was delicious as always (make sure to ask for a side of their incredible homemade piri piri sauce) and I was happy to see the introduction of a couple of new exciting starters; my favourites being the bacalao croquettes and the meatballs in rich tomato sauce!). Although now a staple, the African rice with crispy chicken skins also deserves a mention. We paired our meal with a very unique natural white wine from Portugal (their selection is hand picked by their expert Portuguese wine consultant). Overall, a very exciting new offering from the CDF boys which maintains the charm and authenticity of their London Bridge venue whilst capturing the East London buzz. Be back v.soon!
S. C.
Best pastel de nata I have ever had in London 🤤
S. P.
Authentic Portuguese grilled chicken, even better than in some places in Portugal. The piri-piri is just perfect, almost as good as my mom's recipe! But definitely you pay for quality.
D. R.
What a delightful experience this was! Such a simple and no fuss menu. I loved that I didn’t have to look through too much to decide. Whatever was brought to our table was equally fabulous, tasty and rich in flavours. The cocktails we ordered were very refreshing. Music isn’t too loud so you can hear yourself. Ahead of my visit, I emailed to ask if they were pet friendly, they promptly replied to say that dogs are welcome. It’s so good to have new restaurants on my lists where I know I can take my dog with me. The only complaint I have though is that the table next to us had their dog off the lead, I wish the guys serving would have told them to keep the dog on lead. It is not nice to have dogs running around. Apart from all that, the guys who served us were very smart, know the menu well and very friendly. Highly recommend this place :)
L. W.
Great meal here on Tuesday, food is excellent (particularly the addition of crispy chicken skin on the rice, SO good). Reasonably priced, service was exceptional and the location is great. Highly recommend and I will be returning!
C. C.
Food was very nice and tasty (for the 10 seconds it remained hot) but they are definitely not properly set for hosting outside. We were sat at the front of the restaurant which was on the shadowy side, they turned on one of their gas heater lamps that was a bit far away from us. We were freezing, asked to be moved closer to the lamp, but it was so windy that it made no difference. I understand that weather cannot be controlled, but the comfort of your customers can, so please make sure people are not cold, are comfortable and are seated in sunny areas when is sunny, as we are still in Spring, which means is cold in the shadows and a bit windy. Don't forget this is London!.
J.
Excellent atmosphere with extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Food is PORTUGUESE with a twist...presented beautifully and estra tasty. A big thanks to all, specially Alvaro, who made sure we left with a sweet taste in our mouths.
I. “. T.
Nice environment, friendly staff. food was good but not excellent for the prices.
C. U.
Nice food, good service. With outdoor seating currently the only option it’s great that this venue supplies outdoor heaters about most tables.
G. D.
Lovely food, quick service, very affordable and great atmosphere in a nice quiet end of shoreditch!
J. C.
I went with my girlfriend (who grew up in the Algarve) and, as someone who also has family in Portugal, we both loved it. Great good, great prices and a great vibe. I'll probably be coming twice a month - at least.
R. O.
Really fun-filled experience, combined with excellent food and service.
Very, very enjoyable.
G. D.
Fantastic meal earlier this week. Great vibe and variety in the menu. Highly recommend the Octopus Salad as a shared starter. I'll 100% be heading back in the new year.
C. M.
This place is what Nando’s attempts to be. Now we’re in lockdown I will definitely get it delivered, everything is so fresh and flavourful. Staff are lovely and even £5 cocktails! What more do you need! See you in December
S. M.
Absolutely beautiful food, authentic Portuguese cuisine at it's best! Will definitely be returning soon!
S. B.
This has got to be some of the best chicken in London. A great atmosphere and friendly staff top it all off. Will be back for more!
V. M. U.
Warm welcome, great food and atmosphere. Very good for groups and will be useful for food before live music gigs at the nearby Village Underground. Recommended.

Amazing food and atmosphere ! We had delicious sides as sharing plates, their homemade pastel de nata is my absolute favourite!

Great service! The ice cream was delicious, and the rice was so good, and the scorched cauliflower was so good, that was probably my favourite.

Nice staff. The dining room was cozy and clean. The music was just a little loud but still enjoyable. Really recommended

A fantastic first meal out of Lockdown 3. April 12th treated us well with this Portuguese dream of a feast! My fave was the AFrican Rice but could not fault any of it. We had 2 of everything pretty much!!
A. J.
Great food, atmosphere and service. The only issue was a beggar walking between tables asking for cash
A. L.
Loved it. Like the borough branch but even better! Cocktails amazing food and staff amazing
N. K.
One of my best meals out with friends - really enjoyed the authentic Portuguese food (highly recommend the African rice alongside the signature piri piri chicken dish) complemented by the warm & attentive service, relaxed atmosphere and stunning surrounds - I'll definitely go again both with friends and on a weekend with my family.

We had high hopes having read good reviews, but I'm afraid our experience was only average. Despite having booked and re-confirmed, our table wasn't ready when we arrived, and the maitresse d' didn't seem all that bothered. After about ten minutes at the bar we were taken upstairs to be seated at a communal table with benches, not proper chairs. We asked to be moved and Eva our helpful waitress did so with good grace. Her service was excellent throughout. The food arrived quickly and was tasty, but somehow didn't inspire. Perhaps it was the very high noise level that was putting me off. Caso do Frango is another of those restaurants where hard floors, tables, chairs, and benches, plus lots of young people out for a good time create a cacophony. Not one for the oldies who like to have a conversation over supper...

Buzzing place with delicious, authentic Portuguese dishes and wines. Every dish we tried on the menu was outstanding

Nice food, friendly staff. We went with 'Eat out help out' and would have been pricey if we had paid full price

A new home for the amazing Casa do Frango. Fantastic food as always and now an amazing new restaurant! Look forward to my next visit :)

The staff doesn't get the service charge! Shame that the staff works so hard and the food is fantastic, yet the owners don't give the service charge to its staff. Give the tips on cash please.

Beautifully prepared chicken, I liked the simple one with just oregano more than the piri piri, their "African Rice" is to die for.

Warm welcome; great location; varied menu; expertly crafted and varied dishes; and great interior design and fit out.
J. C.
Chicken cooked perfectly and the various starters and sides were also decent. Rice pudding at the end was 👌🏻

Great vibe, great food, great staff. Have the green wine and African rice!
A. H.
Had all the sharing tapa/pinchos and they are all awesome. Chorizo, Roasted Cauliflower, bread and fish croquettes were my favourites. The chicken is definitely a quality option as well. Great selection of wines and the pastel de nata and almond cake are awesome and made super fresh.

The new Casa in Shoreditch is amazing!! The new additions to the menu are so delicious (meatballs, octopus salad, bacalhau fritters) and as always the Chicken was unreal. I love this spot! Also - we ordered a natural vino verde which was so good - highly recommend.

Food arrived promptly and hot! It was all delicious! If you can get the table upstairs by the bay window, you could host a really lovely dinner party for 12!

Mind blowing service! Our waiter was so so so nice. Really went above and beyond. We were there for a birthday party and he sang happy birthday with us (great voice!). He was so sweet and funny. Thanks so much. On top of that, as a party of 50% vegetarian s or vegans, the food was outstanding. Top marks!! Obrigado!
