Great takeaway, fresh tasting delicious food. Well cooked, from starter to main. Great online discount on collection, clean and welcoming restaurant when picking up the food. Hygiene is a must and I can see this place is top in that. If you haven't tried, you are missing out.

The environment is nice here - ample space... relaxing background music. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The Indian food served here is aututhentic. The mixed vegetable curry was delicious... garlic bread was tasty and duck and prawn byriani was nice too. The grilled king prawn was ruined by being super duper hot. Needed a lot of sweet sauce. Don't expect too many customers as they mostly hire the place out for parties and functions and do take away. Overall 4 stars - particularly pleased with the staffs hospitality.

Absolutely fantastic! Came a long way from ilford to try this place for an occasion, was not disappointed at all! Starting with the customer service, it was brilliant! A fantastic Restaurant, serving the best they can, in the heart of East London. Set meals for large bookings, some day's can be packed, so advice to phone and book in advance. City of Paris specials with 24 hour notice, is a great experience for any group.

We had a fantastic meal here. So good, in fact, that it was a shame to see the restaurant empty (although it was a Monday evening). Despite the lack of customers, the waiting staff were professional, very friendly, and gave good menu recommendations. It's possible to be slightly put off by the decor of the restaurant, but the food is incredible - the chef specialises in jalfrezi which was spicy, rich, delicious. It also came as a really generous portion. The naan was fresh, the rice perfectly cooked, the saag bhaaji - which wasn't even on the menu - superb. My friend's chicken tikka masala was also impressive. Oh, and if you have a Tastecard, you can get 20% off the whole bill Mondays - Thursdays. Highly recommended for a classic British Indian meal. Unpretentious and good value in an unassuming location.

Been here for a few functions now. Someone living in a household where you can have these types of meals served by your parents, its very rare for this particular cuisine to impress me. City of paris however has a very high standard of quality food. Group of 100, we was all served at the same time, food came in orderly manner and distributed efficiently from starter to mains. The waiters were attentive to when something was finished and needed swapping out. They politely ask if anything was needed. Was spacious to get together and enjoy time with family members. If you wish to hold functions here, I would 100 percent recommend this place to anyone.

Starters included King prawns, chicken, samosas and falafel - each item was delicious and I would love to back go just for these. The chicken and meat curries were cooked really well, full of flavour. Everything was very well presented. The venue was nicely decorated and staff were helpful too. Would highly recommend for small functions/events. (Properly social distanced tables with clear notices and everyone wearing masks.)

I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant, went once pre Covid, and the food was of a very good standard. Have had two vegetarian takeaways recently, and not only is the food great, but the service too, so polite, attentive, complimentary salad, dips and poppadoms. I certainly hope that customers flock for a sit down meal, at City of Paris, once government restrictions end, and prior to that enjoy a take away. You won't be disappointed. PS the only bad thing is, it's only opened Wed to Sun.

They are so friendly and welcoming at this restaurant. We booked early, but we weren’t aware there was a function on at the same time. They did try and call to rearrange my booking, but I didn’t get the message. They still made a table for us in the back and didn’t make us rush. Raheem and the staff are brilliant and so is the food!

Amazing interior also food is first class!!! It is tasty but little less heavy compared to the south Asian cuisine we all are familiar with. Their lentils is unlike any I've ever tasted!!! Staffs are great but found the manager to be extremely friendly!!!

The set up, the stage, the way the waiters interacted with my guests and the three course meal was amazing! I really enjoyed my day, and my guests also did too. Needed a quick bite to eat has work took me to this area. Find this place on the corner, after a search on the web for eatary's close by. First off the customer service is five 🌟 to the chap that dealt with me (Raheem) I think his name was was amazing the all the other staff were very helpful too. Now the the food in the portions was great the taste was not what I was expecting since I just stop off and just went in so not fair to criticize since in blindly. Now not so good - I ask for sauce salt and was given a tray with difficult sauce I thought how very presentable. I finished a received my bill I paid said goodbye to the friendly staff, how to just double check my receipt to see that I was charged £ 2.65 for that pretty tray of sauce I wanted was same kectup or something alike. Sorry guys but that spoilt all the hard work given.

Best indian restaurant i have ever been in! The food was second to none! The first time i went here was the first time i ever ate indian food and it won me over straight away! The food is beautiful, the service is excellent and the cobra beers are nice. I love the sauces that come as a starter with the popadoms. Great place to go which aint expensive iva. I have been back several times since then and always look forward to going back again. Word of advice phone up in advance just in case they have a function on as they my be fully booked and not open to public due to weddings etc.

Had my Nikkah here and have never been here before and I can honestly say that I had the best service and food!!! Thank you for your time and the work that you did in preparation for this event. We booked for our Christmas work party of 17 persons, the staff managed out order well and kept the drinks flowing. Good food, good service, spacious for a small party, easily holds 300 people across the entire place - but over 3 halls which is a downside. Also, can get a bit cold as doesn't really have proper heating. But generally happy with the food and service.

I regularly order Chef's Special Garlic Chilli Lamb or Chicken in this restaurant. The food is of incredible quality with amazing REAL garlic cloves, the first i have ever seen served on a plate. Garlic is good for healing and killing the bad gut microbes in the gut. I believe that food is medicine. This restaurant provides the BEST quality of curry above all the rest of curry restaurant i have visited in the Eastend, this place is the top places to go to. Forget about Brick Lane. This restaurant is hidden away from the main high street. However, it is nearer Victoria Park if you fancy a stroll. The decor is excellent with a nice calming, classy, quality. atmosphere. The service is excellent! VIP treatment to all their customers that will warm your heart and makes me feel like i am being hugged by my mum. Worth every penny.

City of Paris a place for romantics and romancing. Expected some kind of French connection but none found. Good tasty food. Starters sheek kebab n shami kabab , good somosas, n very good chicken tikka. The yellow minty sauce was great I could drink it by glass. Chicken curry in the mixed style of dopiaza n rogon josh just delightful. Traditional bengali meat curry with bitter lime (shatkora) was loved by all. Desert could have been much better. Didn't help guests watching ice cream being scooped out of a tesco tub - best it's done discreetly.

I’ve been here on a number of occasions now for business and pleasure My very 1st was a Ramadan few years back - it didn’t meet my expectation... However later on that year we arranged a end of year cooperate function - since I wasn’t the paying thought I’d go back what a surprise food was absolutely amazing.. Since then I’ve been there 4 times dining out and engagement functions food spot on every time Well done - chef clearly deserves credit scoop for improvement but tasty food... Servers that I’ve met could be trained better to in being attentive using initiative instead waiting to be told.... that’s possible just occasion I felt waiting staff could have a better job

Went there for a function, lovely decor and place but it was ridiculous how they shut off one side of the restaurant so no one can go through and eventually we had to literally go into another side of the restaurant since there was two bits to it and it was sooo cramped and you couldn't even move and the food was delicious but I even had another guest pushing a table into me.
