Pretty, pan-Asian, halal restaurant around the corner from Bond Street station. Went with a friend on a Friday night after work for an early dinner and, despite being early for our booking, were seated straight away. We ordered chili edamame, squid, seafood dumplings, salmon sushi rolls, and chicken bao buns, all to share. Everything was delicious, drinks were good too. Looking forward to going back!

Great food, pretty venue. Struggled to decide where to eat on this street and decided on Cocochan. Seated straightaway, and was made to feel like we had to rush by the host who mentioned to the kitchen was closing in minutes. Probably on us for visiting late in the night, but still felt a tad rude. But after being seated, our waitress was much nicer. The Pad Thai was pretty good, but the Thai Green Curry was amazing. Overall, the food was great, and a venue where you'll definitely take a few photos.

We were hosted to a brilliant surprise birthday lunch today. My friends and I were there from about 2- 4.30pm. The food was amazing and our Cocochan hostesses were excellent. They even treated the birthday girl to a birthday cake, candles, ice cream, a polaroid picture and of course the traditional birthday song. Excellent service all the way!! Thank you!

Not one to write reviews but this one had to be done! As a meat lover, I tend to be inclined to only order chicken, beef or lamb when I eat out. On this occasion, I thought to try out the king prawn pad thai, which to my delight was delicious- I couldn't find any faults if I tried. Not only that, my friends and I were served by the lovely Freja who accommodated for us as much as she could. We were given a space to pray downstairs near the sushi bar, where Freja provided us with a blanket so we could observe our compulsory prayers, which made our experience all the more relaxing... No stressing about missing our prayers! Overall, we all had an amazing time and would like to thank all other employees for tending to us ever so quickly. See you again soon!

Halal Asian fusion restaurant. Nice place, friendly staff and delicious food. Small plates suitable for sharing. We tried the California sushi, unagal dragon rolls, tempura, crispy duck pancakes and egg fried rice, all were good.

My first restaurant visit after lockdown. I passed upon cocochan as it's right by work and popped in for lunch with a colleague. The setting is nice, music was a bit loud, food was okay (nothing to write home about), but the service was great! Although everything is made fresh on site, I felt the flavours could have gone further, especially for that price point. We only tried a selection of starters, dumplings and sushi. Maybe there is more promise in the main courses and desert options? I prob wouldn't go back... And one reason was because the fried chicken joint across the street was buzzing! Was impressed with service, décor and being halal!!

Great good, decent prices, beautiful corners for your Instagram photos and above everything else the service was impeccable. We ordered all the vegetarian dishes and their version of lychee martini's and my sister and I had a great evening. Would highly recommend eating here. The food was really tasty and great! This is the 2nd time I have been here and I would definitely come back again.

First time to visit and I have to say I was pleased with the food and service. The available tables were only outdoors due to the lockdown situation and even though it was a chilly evening, the overhead heaters were adequate. The prawn and chive dumplings and pad thai were spot on. The prices were on the higher side but understandable due to the location. The only thing that did not hit the mark was the aperol spritz as it was watered down

This place is a lovely hidden away spot, but you may still need to book at busy times. I was lucky as a walk in. The atmosphere is truly lovely and the staff efficient and very friendly and helpful. Kiki, Oscar and (I think) Jao served me and made what was a fairly quick dinner very enjoyable. The food was delicious and pretty much as light and filling as Kiki had described, though this place is normally aimed at sharing plates, so if you can still book for Valentine’s Day it might be a great spot. I would highly recommend this place as a treat.

Maybe the best Japanese food I've had in the UK (though I haven't tried that many places). A bit pricey for the portions but the food more than makes up for this with the quality. Food, drinks and dessert all superb and a nice atmosphere, with outdoor seating adjacent to James St. Note on service: If sitting outside, don't sit next to the street as the staff may forget about you (both my and the couple next to us struggled to get their attention). However, I moved inside and immediately got very quick and friendly service (especially after a lovely waitress came on shift and was very friendly and helpful, forgot to get her name to compliment her here).

I would normally take a few pics when i get a chance but the food was so good we ate it so quick... But most importantly is all the staff are very nice, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Ahmed was great, an assett to this restaurant, very lovely man. Very nice food, great atmosphere and service. Lunch set menu is quite reasonably priced, main course potions however are quite small. Drinks are very good. Loved the sushi and drinks but the steak could have been a little better. All meat is halal.

The food was average, the best thing was probably the chops. The drinks were nice but not amazing. The place is quite darkly lit but still good to take photos in. The host was very friendly and accommodating, however our waiter could be trained better as he asked us if we had any allergies to which we responded ‘yes, fish’ but he failed to relay this to the head chef as my friend with a fish allergy was then served chicken ramen which had fish sauce in it. Luckily, she smelt and identified that there was something fishy in her food before she ate it otherwise the night would’ve ended in A&E. Other than this incident, it was a pleasant experience and we probably wouldve come back here if it wasnt for this.

Held a birthday lunch / dinner for a special friend today, I promised the manager Svetlana that I will be writing a review tonight because we all left the restaurant extremely satisfied. The service provided by the manager was top notch, she has an amazing knowledge of the menu and she advised us thoroughly. The food was delicious. I've been to this place a few times in the past and have been quite pleased with the food in general. My favourite dish to order has always been the crispy duck with watermelon salad. I also like the sushi especially the dragon roll. The bento boxes during lunchtime are also nice. The menu is pretty extensive but price is a bit more expensive than average.

Amazing food. Bad service. Was told on arrival that we had an hour and a half at the table (despite open table saying 3 hours). Cocktails were great as was the food. However it took over an hour for the food to arrive and literally straight after it did we were, quite rudely, told that we were expected to leave in 20 minutes. A real shame as the food was great but this soured the experience and I won’t be returning. Especially disappointing after we spent a significant amount.

Great place for everything - fantastic range of small plates to share with friends, or a large plate for yourself if you're feeling very hungry! Really good range of meat and fish options, as well as veggie and vegan versions of classic mains and starters. Lovely atmosphere and decor inside, with plenty of seating space and attentive staff.

Pretty mediocre, definitely not worth the price. Portions are really small, and service is very bad. Had to ask three times before someone served us water. They were out of ice, so they couldn't serve us cold water, and it was the hottest day of the year! Both of us got our food at different times, so one person was sitting and staring while the other was eating. No one came to clean our tables after we had eaten, or to bring us there check. All in all, pretty mediocre experience for an expensive place.

Dined here with my cousin last night, and have to say that although I've been to more expensive and swankier restaurants in London & worldwide - Cocochan hit my sweet spot. Absolutely everything was spot on, from table service to food. The food is heavenly. I had the spicy prawn soup, chicken dumplings, miso aubergine, and the duck leg - each dish was more delicious than the previous. Culinary orgasm guaranteed. I will visit there once again soon, and if the standards will be kept the same as today then Cocochan - you will earn yourself a loyal fan and client. Can't wait to return!

Beautifully decorated restaurant. The menu is a bit pricey but you wouldn't expect otherwise in an area like that. The duck spring rolls were delicious, and the kimchi lamb chops were full of flavour.

FAB restaurant. There was a mix up with our booking at another upmarket restaurant close by, and we went to Cocochan instead. Well all 6 of us absolutely enjoyed our evening. It was a special occasion and the staff looked after us so well. We left the choice of food to Andreas to select for us, and he picked some amazing dishes. Absolutely everything was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzing. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and we all want to go back again very soon. Excellent mix of oriental food. Thai and Japanese flavours at their best. Serves plenty of Halal meat dishes. As per the staff, except duck everything is from a Halal supplier. They have a very filling Tasting Menu, which for the price in a West End restaurant, is a bargain. The atmosphere is perfect for a date. Virtually all of the meats (except the duck) is Halal. The sushi is pretty good and the dessert is delightful.

So I ordered the : Starters- Prawn & Chive Dumplings Prawns & fresh chives & Chicken Gyoza Chicken, fresh ginger & coriander served with Chinese vinegar - both were amazing, you get 3 pieces so you better of get one for your self Mains - Black Peppered Beef Wok grilled beef sirloin, asparagus & black pepper sauce ,Kimchee Lamb Cutlets Kimchee marinated, grilled lamb cutlets served,XO Lobster Wok fried XO lobster & glass noodles, Egg Fried Rice and Robata Grilled Chicken Skewers Dessert - DARK CHOCOLATE FONDANT & COCONUT ICE CREAM - when you break into the chocolate fondant and watch the chocolate pour out! who doesn't like fondant with ice cream! that lamb chop was nothing like I have tasted before(main Highlight), it was like a meat loaf! this is a must try! the black peppered beef was also juicy and just melted in your mouth, I didn't mind the glass noddles with the lobster but the red meat was the stand out dish! Grilled Chicken Skewers was OK , could of had a little more seasonings but nice on the side. Great Service and I shall be heading back ! nice to find another Halal Gem in London !
