Reviews of Copper Chimney

If you want to have absolutely delicious Indian food, then this is the place for you!!! Typical authentic Indian flavours, no wonder if you end up licking your fingers in the end! There are may Indian restaurants in the UK but very few of them offer food that tastes really authentic and this restaurant is really one of those few! Would love going to this restaurant many more times! And ambience - omg it's so lovely! One of the best Indian restaurants in London and around.

I'm not a big fan of Indian food, so I wouldn't call myself as the expert, but I know good delicious food when I taste it. This restaurant did just that. The lamb chops were a show stopper for me. Being a meat lover, this was the most yummiest lamb chop I've tasted in an Indian restaurant so far. The butter chicken was also worthy plate to mention because I couldn't stop eating it. Spicy, rich, flavourful, and diverse is what I would describe this restaurant.

I went with my family a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant decor is lovely and open. Staff were friendly and attentive which is great.
The food was very nice too. I particularly enjoyed the:
Desi style fried chicken, Somosa Chaat, Fish Rahra and the Biryani.
Would I return, probably. If you are looking for a curry give this place a try very good.

Fantastic ambience. Decor is really lovely. Very welcoming. Dining area looks sparkling clean. Food is very tasty. It has the authentic taste. Presentation is superb. Good customer service. However not everything was as tasty as I expected. Lamb chops were overcooked and therefore was chewy. Dal maharaja was not as good. The chicken tikka was one of the best. Never tasted anything like it. It was so lovely and correctly spiced. Prices are high but I believe it matches the food portion size I received. If I do happen to return, I'll definitely have starters as that was the best thing on the menu.

Really good modern Indian food near Westfield if you're tired of the food court there. Good variety on the menu and quick service. Would recommend the lamb chops.

Copper Chimney, Shepherds Bush. A few minutes walk from the main shopping centre.
Starters - lamb samosas and prawns. The prawns were a tad salty for my taste but the flavours were great.
Main - chickpea curry, lamb curry, biryani with raita, naan
All in all a great place for a quick lunch. Staff are very attentive and managers are very friendly. The waiter talked us through each dish as they put it on the table, despite the restaurant being busy with lunch diners. Would definitely recommend.

Visited with one of my besties a few weeks
ago.
Great service and food and ambience.
Loved the decor too, very on trend with the rattan furniture and lights.

Foood was nice really friendly staff and taste was delicious
Portion size of for chicken is bit too small for the price.
Definitely would recommend anyone to go there.

nice restaurant to go to when shopping in Westfield. the food was very good! The fried chicken was probably my favourite thing that we had. The butter chicken was also very lovely.

Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. We had lunch here last Friday and we enjoyed it as food flavours were balanced and not very spicy. We had lamb biryani, chicken butter and dal maharaja from the lunch menu and cheese Naan. All food tasted delicious and we really enjoyed our lunch. Staff were nice and welcoming.

Out to celebrate our 2 year old's birthday with friends, but the food was average - kebabs on the grill were good, butter chicken ok, paneer masala too sweet - but to top it off the Prawn Biryani was a disgrace. Tasted like mildly spiced rice cooked separately without any prawn flavour and cooked prawns added at the end. Eating each spoon of the rice was a torture. Even the staff admitted the Biryani wasn't good!
Slightly over priced for the food delicacy here - not sure I'd be visiting again...!!!

Good food and very good service. Cordial and charming. Suggested what to order based on our preferences and kept the entire group of 2.5 families plus 2 kids very happy. Busy but not lost focus on customers. Pricing as expected with most similar tier restaurants.

Amazing culinary experience! Best biryani I have had outside of Pakistan.

Really good Indian food with personalised service. The seekh kebab is a must have, so is the tandoori roti. The desserts are beautiful as well. Definitely visiting here again with my Indian parents.

One of my fav indian restaurants in London. Easily accessible location, amicable staff. Great food.
My fav are dahi kabab, cheese mushrooms, achari chicken, chicken biryani and chhaas

One of my favourite Indian restaurant in London. Been here on several occasions and the food never disappoints. The food is delicious and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. I love thier butter chicken, lamb chops, chicken Tikka biryani and naana. My go to Indian place and I am surprised it has not got a higher rating. Highly recommend.

I've been a fan of Copper Chimney from India. I can definitely say that Copper Chimney has continued its glorious legacy even here in London. The food is divine. The service is great. The ambience is wonderful. Being a big foodie, I can safely say that it is one of the best Indian restaurants in London that I have come across in recent times.
There are very few restaurants in London that offer authentic taste when it comes to Indian food, because they all tend to cater to the palate of European tastes. Copper Chimney is surely not one of them. It represents Indian food at its best!

Service top notch. Decor.. nice .
Food. Ok I enjoyed it. Tasted 2 new things and enjoyed both. Naan was good, but not great. All in all, I went back for more

Very nice indian restaurant. Not over priced. 1+ 1 in cocktails in happy hours. Very nice and professionally made cocktails. The waiting staff is decent but not the best. Service is a bit slow and you have to wait for a long time even after you order for a beer. The food is very good and they have lots of varieties in terms of Indian food. The cocktails are also very good and tasty. I had come across a few innovative cocktails like achari whisky. The presentation of the food is also very good and eye catching. It's highly recommended that you make a reservation prior to go there especially in the weekends. Overall a highly recommended Indian restaurant. Deserves a five star.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. The staff truly were amazing thanks to Gibralyn and Edwin. Such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely amazing – everything we tasted was top. Absolutely the best Indian meal we had. Highly recommend!
Thank you

Lovely place for dinner. The lamb in the chops and biryani was so tender. Excellent staff. Loved it from start to finish. Will defo return

Food was great, as was the service. Staff were friendly and attentive. The okra fries weren’t amazing, I would say the ones at dishoom are better. The chaat was very good; best chaat I’ve had in a while.
S. P.
my favourite restaurant in Mumbai India. Glad they've opened one in London. Food is amazing

Close to authentic Indian taste. Great ambience and service. Could improve on reducing the time taken between meal courses. Menu is simple and not overcrowded with options like normally in other Indian restaurants in the UK. Unique and delicious experience.
M.
Food was absolutely delicious and lived upto reputation from Mumbai. However, service is very poor and frankly, disappointing to the extent that it takes away from the dining experience. It took too long to get some one to take our order, the plates were being cleared in a rush without asking if we are done eating and when we asked for some advice on the menu we were not offered anything insightful. The staff overall did not even smile or ask us how our meal was at the end (common courtesy).
However, great tasting food. Highly recommend the spicy potatoes in the starter.

Awesome Super Delicious Food
Totally comparable to their units In India, loved the authencity of the flavours and experience was outstanding. Mango Lassi and Rum Pum Po Cocktail were too good. Had the Prawns curry, chicken biryani and the succulent kekbabs were mind blowing. Loved the over all ambiance and service. Really outstanding

CC.... Indian authentic food.very delicious. It has its own recipe. Mouth watering items. Good staff. Ek baar khaoge baar baar aavoge.... ✓✓✓

Great service (although it wasn’t busy when I was there), friendly staff and good quality food. Lamb chops were especially great. Butter chicken wasn’t to my liking.
R. V.
Fantastic authentic Indian food accompanied by superb staff taking wonderful care of your culinary experience!!👍👍
A. S.
Went for dinner, and had a brilliant experience. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, I had the butter chicken, spicy but so good! The whole experience was great. Only one negative was the price, mainly that rice is not included in the price of the dish. Highly recommend and would go back!
K.
Went in for a meal. The restaurant looked great and service was great. We had a few things which we ordered and the majority of it tasted great. So the lamb biryani was a lot better than the chicken biryani.
The samosa chat was not that amazing, it was lacking in sauce and far from the traditional samosa chat.
We also ordered the Indian summer mocktail and this was a disappointment tbh it was more of a slushy than a drink I would not recommend.
M. K.
The food was absolutely amazing. They had alot of vegetarian options. The only dish that most of us didn't like was the butter paneer. It had a sweet taste which didn't fit our palette. But that was very minor. The naan breads were AMAZING! So soft and tasty! Service was efficient and very friendly staff. Will most definitely be recommending to family and friends.
M.
A great experience at this restaurant! Friendly staff and a overall lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing- and didn’t take too long to come which is always a bonus. I will definitely be coming back here 👍🏾
T. A.
Brilliant, superb Indian food. The lamb chops were the highlight!
T. H.
Lunchtime curry (lamb rogan josh) was perfectly spiced. For the price, I would’ve liked to have had more poppadoms to accompany the chutney. Overall a good lunchtime spot.
A. S.
Butter chicken was nice, and refreshing mojito. However it is quite pricey
G. B.
Popped to the cinema in Westfield the other week with dinner here after and what a great time we had! Lovely staff, great food and a fun ambience. My favourite dishes were the lamb chops and butter chicken. Would definitely come back when in the area next.
N. K.
The restaurants decor was really warm and welcoming and upmarket. The food was average. My main criticism was with the butter chicken. It tasted like it had heinz tomato soup mixed in. Which was really surprising because you felt like you wasn't eating a curry dish but more of a pasta dish because of the high concentration of tomatoes in the sauce. The dehli southern fried chicken was tasty and succulent.
We also ordered the veg birihani. This was ok but tasted a little bland. The urad daal however was really tasty. Lovely and creamy with a strong earthy flavour.
Would I come again? Probably not as I was a bit disappointed that the food didn't taste like authentic punjabi food. Felt the dishes were diluted to suit a more European palette.

They have a good selection of food items on the menu. The food was delicious as was the ambience. The hotel staff was courteous. Even my 4 year old enjoyed her food.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had! New flavours and incredible dishes! Can’t recommend enough and will be back again for sure!

Food was very good, love the cheese nan bread amazing definitely need to try that, decor is very nice and makes you feel like you are in India, the staff was very attentive and helpful with the menu, drinks at the bar was also good and had alot of choices. Definitely be coming back here again.

Being originally from Mumbai expectations were very high .. decent and nice.food just lacked bombay zing but decent food. Biriyani is highly recommended
S. H.
Gibralyn and Edwin made our experiences here. There service was amazing. I couldn’t stop talking about the food and how good it was will definitely be back and recommend everyone to try it at least once you won’t regret it.

This place is very sophisticated the modern interior was quite grandeur the open tandoori place were you can see the kitchen operating the Mise en place. I throughly enjoyed my main course and dessert it was very scrumptious although the prices are steep but it does reflect on the area it is situated in and not to forget food inflation.
The Host Manisha Sharma and her Team are very appeasing and delightful she's absolutely a gem to the company the most loveliest lady with alot of flamboyance. Thank you so much to the team @copperchimney for a pleasurable afternoon.

Delicious food, if you haven’t been it’s certainly going to be a treat.
The manager was great, and resolved a small issue we had on our menu options.
S. K.
This place is delicious - the food is really authentic and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The meat from the tandoor is tender and so tasty and the nans and rotis are very moreish. The staff are friendly and attentive. I would recommend having the shal and definitely going for a dessert too, the halwa is particularly delicious. I'll be back for more very soon!

Less than average quality of food.
Not up to the quality of Indian branches.
Very bland Panner Tikka with no flavor, weird choice of vegetables in veg biryani
A. K.
Wow, so lucky to have my own Mumbai’s authentic Indian food in London. Beautiful ambience and tasty food. Though the size of portion are small but delicious. It will be an added bonus when staff taking order understands the food and Hindi. Presentation is lovely. Yummy food.👌

Really enjoyed our lunch during half term Copper Chimney. Interesting distinctive flavours which Differentiate it from your average High Street Indian restaurant. Really liked the Raita with its pomegranate seeds. The rice had dried cranberries which was a lovely interesting touch. Daal makhani was to die for!
Polite and efficient service topped an excellent meal. Will definitely return when next in Westfield.
D. P.
Great food, ambience and service! We had the butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Biryani. Medium spiced and lovely flavours.
S. A.
Great dining experience at Westfield. Authentic Indian cuisine. The creamy chicken curry was nice and the mint chicken BBQ.
G. A.
Excellent food, enjoyed the lamb chops, biryani it feels like I’m in India. Excellent service provided by staff.
N. R.
This place is authentic Indian, unlike other places who just doesn't serve indian taste
C. S.
Great Food, brought back memories of Copper Chimmney Kala Ghoda Mumbai, The taste is authentic. Loved Thandai, Panner Tikka
.

Well decorated with a chilled ambiance inside. Not too loud and tables well spaced out. The starters and grilled food were good, portions were small though. The mains let us down and the service to clear the dirty plates was very slow. The romali rotli was very soft and thin, highly recommend that. The chai was very clovey in taste and served cold, would advise to avoid that. I hope they continue to improve and will come back to try.
