Amazing food and great location. Good place for family dining with a wonderful kid’s menu. Comfort food in a comfortable atmosphere and super friendly stuff. Popular with the locals advised to book a table in advance.

Had a wonderful meal, the salmon was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were so fresh you could taste it...... Dessert was a bit rich for me but I'm sure would suit real chocolate lovers. Staff were friendly enough, but didn't like the fact that we were served by 4 different people. Would recommend as a meal out for a couple or family and friends

Visited this brasserie one Monday lunchtime with friends. We had booked a table at 12noon, and glad we did as the resturant quickly filled up. The menu was typical French with classics such as french onion soup snd croque monsieur available. Kids menu also available priced at £6.95 incl drink. My young daughter ordered grilled chicken & fries. The chicken was butterfly breast & grilled perfectly. My daughter hates sauces so this 'plain' but wholesome dish was perfect for her. I ordered the (vegan) ButtetnutSquash Taboule which consisted of a cold salad- butternut squash, lentils, courgettes etc. It was very tasty and filling. My friend ordered the fish parenteral (fish pie) which she declared was very 'yummy' snd the correct ratio of fish/potatoe. We didn't order dessert as we were off to the circus. The staff were friendly & attentive. Toilets down stairs were clean. Diabled/baby changing facilities available on ground level. 10% service charge was added to bill. Overall we enjoyed our visit I will definitely return and recommend.

Wonderful, and I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants. Despite being incredibly busy this Saturday (several large parties making it quite a noisy place) we received gold standard service from the amazing team and delicious food - pork belly and basque seafood stew particular highlights. This was a very special trip for our family as we were taking our 90 year old great aunt out from her care home for the first time since the pandemic, and the Cote team couldn’t have done more to make it a smooth experience, from whisking out a ramp to the front door and helping me (inexpert wheelchair pusher!) wheel her in to a brilliantly-located table with plenty of space, to very attentive table service and friendliness from all those working there. The reassurance provided on the phone when I called to book was also very much appreciated. Very glad we picked this place and huge thank you to everyone making it a lovely experience, especially for a new wheelchair user.

Did not have a reservation but the kind staff offered us a table without a long wait. The choice of drinks especially wine and food is really good, almost impossible to decide what to have! We have been today with no booking. Very warm welcome and the manager tried his best to accommodate us as was busy . He managed happily to find us a table for 4 .We enjoyed everything. Mum & I had a wonderful early mother's day lunch here yesterday. The staff (Arnee & Adrian) were so attentive, kind and welcoming. We were even treated to some glasses of pink fizz as well! Very average food, my burger plenteously served on a lump of wood with a knife and fork. How on earth to i cut it without it rolling onto the table. Limited in non meat options and my friend was almost told off for asking for an Italian wine, then we were asked at the end if we wanted to up the service charge already on the bill... ermm no thanks

Went here on Mother's Day to celebrate my mother in Law, we had fantastic food and our Waitress Stacy was sincere and visibly loving her Job. Even though you are spoilt for choice of eateries in Blackheath village, be sure not to miss out on this little gem fronting the heath. The ambience is welcoming and friendly, and the food is supurb. It's reasonably priced for SE3 and the service is attentive. Very impressed with the seperate gluten-free and vegetarian menus. Great all round experience.

Ate on a busy Friday evening, good ambiance and environment, however let down by a poor steak, which was just a poor cut (I had the steak frites, which is a minute steak) When asked by the waitress if everything was OK, I forgot I was English and said the steak was not very good, as I'd eaten over half of it, she asked what cut I had, and blithely shrugged as if to say, "well if you buy a cheap cut what do you expect..." Suffice to say I was enjoying my evening too much to make a big deal out of it, but let's just say I'm glad I've got good teeth! Other than that the starter and dessert were very good (calamari and salted caramel tart respectively) and it got washed down witha good red.

Went twice to Cote and the second time wasn’t happy with the food. The staff is nice as always. I ordered medium rare steak with mashed and my partner ordered Poulet Grille 2 course meal and steak came well done and mashed potatoes wasn’t very fresh and soft to eat. His chicken was overcooked, too dry and potatoes was cold. Most likely not going back to this place again.

We had a fantastic experience here! After being greeted by a really friendly host, we were shown our table and keenly attended to until we ordered. We chose Cote as they have well listed gluten free options and, I am glad to confirm, there was a whole menu dedicated to gluten free dishes. So easy! Upon checking the ingredients for the dishes and because of an intolerance to garlic we apprehensively asked the waiter for an ingredient list, not expecting an easy response as per most places. The waiter knew immediately and informed the chefs, who worked around the request perfectly. Delicious and a happy tummy, indeed. When it came to dessert, our waiter was astute enough to hand the correct menu to each of us (as only one of us was opting for their reduced 'Prestige Lunch Menu'). Great attention to detail! The food was amazing and we shall definitely be popping by again once restaurants reopen. I'd highly recommend this Cote if you suffer any intolerances. They took it in their stride without the excessive worrying and fuss you can get elsewhere. It was refreshing to say the least. Prices are higher but worth it considering how good the food is. Circa £15-18 for one main. For us Cote is a new favourite and well worth every penny. 5/5.

100% brilliant in every respect. We turned up at 10pm asking for food and nothing was a problem. Every member of the team were smiling attentive and caring. The food? second to none. Superb quality, clearly the chef is the best. We had a best experience here sitting outside in the cool evening air. Awesome experience tonight in a lovely unspoilt part of London.

The breakfast is amazing - a firm favourite. I haven’t been there for an evening meal, but there are some tempting dishes on the menu. Attentive staff, comfortable venue with a shopfront facing the Heath. Well attended and has clearly been taking customers from other restaurants nearby (the place next door has recently closed its doors). They even provide own-brand water jugs, a nice touch. You may have to wait a few minutes to get a table, but it’s worth it.

We visited here for the first time yesterday and the food is a touch above pub standard. I had the Black pudding starter and it was literally deep fried Black Pudding. The main was fine but the Dessert was a Microwaved Chocolate Fondant with a powdery after taste and for the price I would expect everything to be cooked fresh and to a good standard. Service was average. Thackeray prices but pub standards. Unfortunately we won't be going back as there are much better restaurants around.

Saturday afternoon menu was varied and will suit most diners. There is a set menu, reasonably priced 3 courses which is a good option for those looking to save even more money. Is a chain I've experienced for a while because it's very consistent, and still maintains quite an "independent" feel. Prawn starter very nice, as was the half roast chicken for main course. No dessert on this occasion, but all sounded good. A 3 course meal from the full menu including a drink will cost anything between £25-30.

Fantastic service. I've been going to Cote for many years now with Friends, and for family events. Attended the Blackheath branch on the weekend for my brother's birthday celebrations, and booked ahead of visit. Food, atmosphere, drinks and staff were fantastic as always... Exceeded other visits actually. Kindly received a bottle of Brut having said it was my brothers birthday from the wonderful Julia, so thank you very very much. It was massively appreciated, and such a thoughtful touch! Will be back again!

I think the best thing Cote do are their breakfasts. Evening dinners have been hit and miss over the years but one thing they excel at is Breakfast. Go for the £10 deal and you'll get fresh OJ, any coffee you like and a breakfast. The coffee is excellent!! A friend of ours asked for a fried egg sandwich for her son as it's not on the menu. One egg on white toast. The kitchen sent out a plate with two fried eggs and a basket of bread. That's just poor.

Great view of the heath. French breakfast was very good (boudin noir was well cooked; have it with a dash of apricot jam if you like sweet and savoury). Crêpe complète was made with English bacon, which is wrong -- not because I'm dogmatic but because you shouldn't have to battle with unrendered fat inside your crêpe. They can probably swap with ham if you request it. Coffee is not the best. Staff is competent.
