The staff. The decor, were lovely. The food when it arrived, after an hour was perfectly cooked and presented. However, the manager was very apologetic and gave us a good reduction and a glass of wine. So yes we would return. We would recommend this restaurant

Went for a booking at 1730 yesterday before the theatre. It was fully booked and turning away walk ins. We had our favourite from the A la Carte menu Crab Maison, Pork belly followed by Crème Caramel. The meal was tasty but some disappointment: The crab has much more brown than normal - it usually is white. My pork belly was served like a ‘dead plate’ from the kitchen with the pork rolled to the side of the plate and the dauphinoise potatoes were over cooked. The server was stressed, inexperienced and it appeared generally shortage of experienced staff with the manager multitasking. We ate our meal that was tasty overall, but not to the normal and expected quality nor the service. Prices have increased over 10% in the last 6 months and we understand the difficulties hospitality has had in the last 2 years and difficulty recruiting experienced staff. Hence, we were reluctant to complain or deduct the optional service as the staff were trying under pressure. Hopefully, we don’t experience this again from one of our favourite restaurant chains with the staff issues resolved.

What a fabulous location looking out over the Thames. It's a very open space and plenty of areas to have an unhurried drink. The information desk was very clear, helpful and welcoming. We did go to the bar for a glass of champagne before Verdi's Requiem. My only niggle was when the champagne was poured into a measure and then into a glass! Why? It's so not necessary when all the glasses are marked. That aside the Royal Philharmonic and the Royal Choral Society were amazing.

Had a champagne breakfast. Really good value... included champagne, one other drink and then a full breakfast. Everything was lovely. Food was great quality and staff were welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return.

Met a colleague for a business lunch here. Staff were attentive but provided space to talk. The menu caters for vegans with a small but well thought out menu. I had the Chickpea Taboulé for lunch. It has red rice with roasted root vegetables, chickpeas, grilled broccolini and toasted seeds with a harissa dairy-free yoghurt. It was flavourful, filling for lunch and nicely presented (Sorry no picture - didn’t seem right at a business lunch to photograph the dish.) Vegan Prix Fixe Menu attached.

Excellent food and value as always with Cote. The service here was also brilliant- the two ladies who served us were very friendly and attentive. I appreciate the inclusion of a vegetarian option on the specials menu (I tried a starter, main and dessert from their current Alpine specials and all were gorgeous).

After we finished starters the waitress asked if we wanted to order anything else but we already ordered mains. Staff were really nice (hence 3 not 2 stars) but the food unfortunately was really bad, I love cote and therefore know what the desert (praline crepe) should look like it, sent it back twice as no filling and still couldn't get filling just plain crepe, won't be back to this branch.

Good experience. I actually never had bad experience in Cote Brasserie and I've been in a few around the UK. Stuff was very accommodating, friendly and attentive. Waiter must have been new or had a long shift ( it was Friday after 8pm) had to remind him a few times about our water and then bill,as he completely forgot. Nevertheless the food was very tasty and all of our parties enjoyed it. We were not in a rush and we enjoyed the food and experience.

One of the best daytime eating experiences I have had in London for quite a while. Extensive gluten-free menu (not the usual response of: you can't eat this, this or this). My friend invited me there. First off, ALL the staffs are smiley and polite! He leads us into the atmospheric restaurant and gives us the menu. The background has some music playing but not so loud that you have to yell to communicate. The starter comes very quick. I have calamari, and my friend has mussels. After that, the main meal was a bit of a wait. Wish they would have keep us updated when it takes longer than 20 mins. The restaurant was busy though, but a kind update would makes the experience better. For main, i had the pasta with seafood in tomato, and my friend had something with ham. Food tastes delicious! Dessert i had Creme caramel. It is like a pudding but has a much deeper richer flavor. The vanilla spongey core topped with burned caramel and syrup. A slight bitter taste makes the deep complex sweetness stands out more. I dont mind pure sweet, but for some people who would complaint “too sweet”, this is sweet but not too sweet. Suitable to wide preferences.

Came here unexpectedly after passing by the restaurant. We were seated very quickly, followed by excellent service. The steak-frites tasted great. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender. The salmon dish also tasted fantastic.

My daughters and I go out to lunch to Cote RFH every 3 months or so, if we can, as we love the food and service and the location is ideal for us. One of my daughters has an assistance dog. The restaurant staff are always very helpful and supportive in accommodating our requirements with Sparrow, none more so than Alexandra earlier this week who made sure that we were very well looked after, including a lovely complimentary dessert for my daughter's birthday and some of the staff singing HB to her when they served it. Many thanks to everyone involved. We look forward to being back for lunches in 2002

Very accommodating we were allowed to book an outside table on a Friday night. The waiting staff are attentive and patient. The pre -19:00 fixed price menu is great. Food OK but little things like ordering a steak and that is all you get on plate (chips separately) - how much would it cost them to put a salad garnish on plate. First waitress was very good but she went off shift and then completely down hill. One waitress had tray of tea and coffee which she wad quite insistent was ours when it wasn't and tried several times to get us to take it. Bill was completely messed with with another table and staff were on break and eating at tables next to us which is fine but when finished were sprawed over seats with feet up etc. Is there no staff area?

Five for dinner. 7.45pm on a Monday. Fully booked. Staff wonderful. Food fine. But: three mains arrived cold and had to be returned. They were heated up - but still took ages. I was ready to cancel but persuaded to calm down! As said, staff super. My fish pie needed an 'umph' and they brought Tabasco, perfect. This branch is huge, cavernous, v busy. The team are fully 'on it' & doing very best. But still, it's a portion-control chain and far too busy for the kitchen to cope. That said, fair prices for fair food in a top London location.... We had a great evening. Top marks to staff. Personally I'd rather eat elsewhere & pay a bit more.

Was having a long overdue catch up with a friend, staff needed our table and very courteously moved us to another table, not once did we feel rushed or uncomfortable- great experience. Four of us had lunch here today - former work colleagues and old friends. It was a reunion as we hadn't seen each other for several years. We were in no rush as we had loads to talk about so we didn't mind that the service was a bit slow - this was because it was very busy. Nevertheless the staff were friendly and very pleasant. One of our party had special dietry requirements and these were taken by the manager who was only too happy to oblige. The rest of us had the set lunch menu which was very good. We stayed for several hours and never once were we asked if we had finished nor were we told that the table was needed. All in all a very pleasant experience and one that we would repeat.

When we brought this to the attention of the manager, after waiting 40-50min for our pudding order, the manager was very rude. This was not expected at Cote. Left us feeling disappointed.

Only drawback was a lack of dairy free dessert options and the sorbet I did order wasn’t very pleasant. Also ordered my steak medium rare, but it was basically fully rare inside. The gluten free menu is extensive and they go to a lot of trouble to make sure that you also know your food is gluten free, marking it with little flags. For such a big, busy central London franchise restaurant, I found the food very decent, the service good, and the prices reasonable. A buzzing atmosphere but not really loud like other similar venues. A really broad Mediterranean style menu, with some old favourites offered as 'rapid plates' if you want to eat quickly and get to a show or a film.

Amazing food as always, a couple of minor issues with the service but they rectified them on the nightamd the waiters were really nice. My only real issue was the toilets. There are two stalls for men and two for women. They reminded me of unattended night club toilets on a busy night. One of the men’s toilets was blocked and the other was really dirty. I even suggested to another member of our group that they may want to wait for the toilets on the train home as they may be cleaner.

On a busy afternoon the original greeting was a bit off putting. After passing us several times, asked if we had reservations, then pretended to squeeze us in, as we were offered the table in front of the toilets. After composing myself. I politely asked if we could moved to the other table that I had spotted earlier. Why he asked? Deep breaths as I explained gentle that the toilet doors opens on to my back and the pathway to and fro was narrow and distrubing. That being said the waitress service was brilliant. The food glorious. Good for a celebration lunch although expensive.

No its not particularly cheap, but if you want cheap go to McDonald's. If you want a great meal in relaxed surroundings with service to match, cote brasserie at the festival hall IS the place to be. Let's talk service. Yes we waited for a table, for about a minute. It was lunchtime on Sunday so what more would you expect. We were lucky to get a table as far as we were concerned. The staff seated us and after settling down we were greeted by our waitress. Very efficient she was too. Drinks ands starters sorted and they came as requested. In fact throughout the meal everything was as it should be. Let's now talk food......... It's to die for. Absolute perfection. Beautiful flavours and perfectly cooked. We couldn't ask for more. But then there was desert. Only one for desert and that was me. Creme caramel. Probably the best in the world, well as far as I'm concerned. So much so, I had a second. Overall this should be THE place to eat on the south bank. We just wish we had more time to enjoy the whole experience. We would like to thank the staff and the chefs for everything. It was as I have already said, outstanding. And we will be back. I just wish it could be tomorrow. Thank you to you all.

The food is somewhat formulaec, but it is to be expected from a successful chain. I have in the past rated it higher, but on this occasion the service was quite poor. Nothing specific - but as with many similar set-ups - once you get allocated a waiter, you are stuck. If your server is stretched, or of limited memory, then despite others with nothing to do, you have to wait ad nauseam. Then he will probably forget...

Our waiter was Max who couldn't have treated us better! Wonderful food for a decent price! Go if you're looking for almost authentic french cooking but without the million dollar price tag. Service was not bad, staff were a bit dopey but nice enough. Overall enjoyable experience - would recommend if you're ready to spend £20 for a 3 course meal

They have been great start to finish. I made a booking for a group of 30 and it was plain sailing, didn't have to pay a big deposit and lose money as we were only 27 in the end. They were accommodating as we had mobility needs within our group. A few times small issues came up with the booking all solved really effectively Reesh and Halo were both so helpful and managed the booking amazingly. On the day, good was really good, the group all felt happy, waitress was more than attentive and it was a pleasent lovely end to our term and perfect for Christmas. Will definately be back thank you all.
