Reviews of Culture Grub
Went with three other friends and was so happy that we found this place! All menus we ordered were tasty and such a good value !!!!! All foods came out super quick, it took them only around 5 -10 minutes.!
Highly highly recommend Treasure Rice and Mapo Tofu! All other ones were very tasty as well 😋
I will definitely come back to enjoy their yummy Chinese food again soon😇
We had been wanting to try here ever since we moved to Waterloo! Heard so many good things about it!
We finally got the chance on Chinese New Year - we got a takeaway, food was fantastic - service was very polite on picking up and had a nice chat with the lady behind the counter!!
Will deffo go again and hopefully sit in to eat!! Can’t believe it took us so long to try!!
i ordered den den mein beef, roasted duck and pork and then ma po tofu and i was with two friends who had lived in china who said this wasnt authentic but i really enjoyed it! i found it delicious and i’m definitely coming back to try other dishes. i think the roasted duck and pork and the ma po tofu was my two favourite dishes.
Food is tasty, price very reasonable. Traditional Chinese/Cantonese style 'tea restaurant' (茶餐廳) The home special fried rice I would recommend. Best place to go before or after a few pints at the pub.
Good old fashioned transport cafe styled Chinese. Very tasty, traditional & reasonably priced. Great for grabbing a quick after work meal with a colleague, but not the sort of place to entertain clients at or to impress a new squeeze.
Friendly service+++, the owners are always cheerful. Well priced. Try the fried seaweed salad and spicy edamame....sounds simple, but absolutely moreish!
Great food. Quick service. Very affordable. Jacky the owner is so smiley and welcoming. This is now of one our regular haunts.
Chilli beef is a personal favourite.
Keep up the good work
Really nice cosy place to eat, I've been coming here for like 10years now
They know how to cook proper Canto food
Seafood fried rice a must try and definitely a dominating presence in Waterloo
Really tasty food at affordable prices, extremely quick service. A few of the reviews have said they got "rude" service - we didn't experience any of that. Yes, the servers that take your order and bring you the food are short with their answers and don't sit around to chat with you but the place is SUPER busy at lunchtime - they're just rushed and I'd take that anytime for the speed and quality of service, as well as the size of the portions. The lady who took us to our table was very friendly and smiley too!
